"I guess this is the place." Erika said, her gaze fixed at a broken-down warehouse before she turned to Celadon City which is far away. "To think they'll go this far. This is out in Route 18."
Erika got off her Gogoat and let it stay guard as she went inside the warehouse, introduced to silence and darkness before she released her Sunflora who glowed intensely to create a light. She wandered around the place, seeing the inside of the place covered in dust and all the furniture inside being old and destroyed before she hit a shelf, the collision knocking down some that kicked up a cloud of dust that made her cough.
"Man, this place is suffocating. It's like a huge dust cloud." She covered her mouth, her Sunflora chuckling at her. Searching the place, Erika could not find anything around the place before she noticed a Pokemon in the dark, shining Sunflora at it to see something came out of the ground which made her and her Pokemon be on their guard.
Out of the ground came out a Furret who looked around the place which made the woman drop her guard when she saw the X-shaped scar on the Pokemon's forehead.
"Butterscotch. It's good to see you." Erika said, running to the Pokemon and petting it. "Where's your trainer?"
The Pokemon pointed down the hole before it went into the ground, Erika calling out her Tangrowth who stretched its arms into the floor and took out a chunk of rock. Jumping down the ground with her Pokemon, the woman looked around to realize that she's in a small room with only a small dim light in the room.
In the middle of the room was Tony who was in a cell, bruises and wounds covering his body which made the woman gasp out of shock.
"You know…there's like…a trap door…over there, right?" He could barely word out, Erika letting out a sigh before she tended to his wounds. "I know but nobody cares. The place is abandoned so I'm not doing property damage."
Taking the chains off him, Erika made her Tangrowth hold him and put him on a table. "We need to treat your wounds."
"Ok. Where's your Pokemon?"
My guess…the cabinet in the corner." Tony said, holding his arm with a pained expression. Erika checked the cabinets to find his Pokemon before she turned to him who was trying to get up.
"Why are you so persistent to get up?" She said, about to stop him before she felt an uncomfortable feeling, making her Tangrowth hold him down. "Tony, don't move. We need to tend your wounds. I'm not allowing you to get out of here until then."
"No...we gotta...get out of here...quick..." Tony tried to get up with all his might, ignoring all the pain coursing through his body. "That bastard...he's back..."
Erika's eyes widened in shock and fear before she took a deep breath and calmed herself. "E-even if t-that's true...you're not in good condition...look at you."
Tony looked at Erika, his expression softening before he decided to sit down and calm himself. "Please...be quick...we don't have much time left."
Erika nodded before she started. "What's happening? I've never seen you this on edge."
"The bastard...he wants...full control of Celadon...and it looks like...someone is going...to give him the means to do so." He said, hissing in pain when Erika and Tangrowth lathered medicinal herbs on his wounds. "They were talking about some deal that they need to do in order to get the weapons to control Celadon City. He's planning to turn Celadon into their own turf."
"So the same old song." Erika stated as she checked on her phone, texting her gym trainers but unable to receive any responses which made her worried. "Did you hear about the deal they agreed on?"
"Kind of…they're…looking for…some kid…they located him…in Celadon City. According to them…it's a boy with glowing red eyes…"
Upon hearing that, Erika's eyes widened in fear before her expression change to worry. "Does he have a scar on his neck?"
"Yeah…" Tony looked up at her. "Looked like it took quite a bit. Apart from the eyes, the kid had long black hair and usually wore a cap."
'Damn it.' Erika thought before she made a call, getting an answer. "Claire, call for Red now. Make sure that he's indoors and protected."
After she finished her call, she immediately went outside with her Pokemon and Tony who noticed her change in attitude. "You realized how bad this is now?"
"Yeah, you're right. We need to go quick." Erika said as she mounted on her Gogoat, Tony released a huge black and blue lynx who roared and discharged lightning. He quickly hopped onto its back. "Let's go, Luxray!"
"Got it. And knowing that bastard…he's not going to make it easy. Such a stubborn geezer." The two then sped towards Celadon City as quickly as they can.
Sounds of combats roared through the city, some of the night folk seeing explosions around the city, including the police who are driving in droves to the places where the sounds and lights are coming from. As the police arrived, they saw numerous bodies on the ground, blood splattered around the place as the Titan Troop and the Draconite Gang.
"Kill them!"
"Go and crush them!"
The police officers were stunned by the bloodshed that occurred before them until they released their Pokemon in an attempt to stop the battle. As they entered the fray, the Titan Troop members attacked the force with no remorse while the Draconite Gang aided the police.
"What are yo-"
"Who cares? Take the help!"
"O-oh! Got it! Everyone, advance forward!"
Beneath the ground, an all-out brawl was taking place, Leaf and Kim watching the battle as they tried to catch their breaths before one of the Draconite gang grunts who is a red-haired female with her face covered in a biker mask grabbed the two girls and pulled them behind her.
"We need to go. Now!" She said, not waiting as she took out a Cloyster who used Protect to shield them from the attacks coming towards them before she gave them a bag that Leaf opened to see some medicine. "Tha-"
"We don't have any time. Now go!" The woman said before she threw a Molotov at their enemies, causing an explosion.
"What about the bombs? That's the reason we came down here." Kim said before a blast went over them, the woman gesturing them to go. "Don't worry, we were able to diffuse them. Nice distracting the commanders. Now you need to go."
The two girls nodded, quickly getting up and sprinting down the sewers. Knocking out a few of the Draconite grunts, Savage noticed the girls trying to escape which made him enraged before he sprinted after them. "Those bitches is not getting away!"
"Hey hey hey!" The blonde admin of the Titan Troop gang was stopped when he had to dodge a bat swing. Before Savage could do anything, he felt an impact from the weapon unto his face which made him stumble back, the blonde turning to see Havoc who was wielding two bats. "C'mon man. You can't raise a hand at a girl, dude. Why don't you try to fight me, Sir Savage the 21st?"
"The hell you just called me?!" Savage cracked his knuckles.
The two battled with each other for a while until Savage able to land a punch on Havoc who immediately retaliated with multiple blows which made him furious. "I'll-"
Havoc cut him off by landing a kick in his stomach, his eyes widened when he noticed Savage drop a Pokeball. Havoc quickly retreated as the capsule opened, releasing a Muk who tried to attack the brunette who called his own Pokemon.
"Scrafty!"
As Havoc's Scrafty stopped Muk's attacks, Leaf and Kim left down the tunnel, treating their Pokemon along the way until they saw the opening.
"We're almost out." Kim panted while wiping the blood off her face. After a while, they were able to get out of the sewers which made the girls let out sighs of relief. Leaf stretched her limbs as they enjoyed the night breeze, Kim taking a huge whiff of the air as they healed their Pokemon. "Finally! Fresh air and not the smell of garbage and sludge."
"It's not that bad down there in the sewer." Leaf said, getting a judgment glare from her friend. "What?"
"The fact that you said that is a prime example that we're in there for too long. You're coping with the smell and that's worrying." Kim patted the brunette on her shoulder before they heard several explosions and police sirens in the distance. "What the hell? They're not kidding about the turf war."
Suddenly, they were attacked by a Flamethrower, Kim's Vaporeon able to douse the flames with Hidden Power. The two noticed a teenaged male Titan troop grunt with a Magmar beside him before he called for other. "H-hey, there are some hot chicks over here!"
"Sup? Why don't you hang out with us?"
"What the hell? No thank you! Also, bad place to ask all this." The bluenette raised a brow, Leaf quickly sending out her Wartortle who quickly defeated the Magmar and grunt before she grabbed Kim. "Let's go! It's too dangerous here. Maybe everyone at the Game Corner is ok if the police is there."
The two girls then dashed towards the Celadon Game Corner until they saw a huge group of the hoodlums from the Titan Troop gang battling against the Draconite gang members. "Sheesh! Gangs are ruthless. I can understand why they have to call in my Dad to help deal with them. Especially the Draconites."
"My question is how did Red survive a whole encounter with them by himself? Twice?!" Kim said as she released her Piloswine who used Odor Sleuth to help them to avoid trouble while they made their way to their destination.
"The same way we did." Leaf answered as she landed a kick at a grunt that came around the corner, knocking him out.
After a while of running around the city and taking out stray grunts, they arrived to the Game Corner that was surrounded by Titan Troop grunts which made them shocked before they saw a huge ball of fire that knocked back a few of the gangsters.
"Woah!" Leaf said before she noticed Vulpix launching multiple fireballs as it started to retreat towards the building.
"Isn't that Red's Vulpix?" Kim said, Leaf nodded as she turned to her Wartortle and was about to rush into the fray before Kim stopped her. "Not yet. I have a plan."
"It better be good." Leaf said as she started to get worried.
They noticed a wounded Red who was holding his own against the grunts, the teen having his issues as some of them were able to get hits on him, one of them able to knock him across the street. Not giving his opponents a chance to finish him off, he tapped his shadow which made two hands protect him from their attacks before his Vulpix unleashed a wave of flames that repelled the grunts.
"Damn! What the hell is with this kid?"
"What the fuck? Send out your strongest Pokemon! He can't stop us all!"
"Can someone hit him with a Spore or Sleep Powder? At least a Hypnosis?"
Everyone threw their strongest Pokemon against the teenager who managed to hold his own against them before an Onix came out of the ground and attacked him which he dodged with Beedrill's String Shot. He then quickly got on his feet before he ordered it to throw him which made him tackle and knock out several grunts; Beedrill picking up him up again as he commanded Vulpix to shoot a barrage of Will O'Wisp before using Hex that managed to incapacitate them.
"Someone! Just shoot him!"
As soon as he heard that, Red was attacked by a stray blast that knocked him and his Pokemon down, the teen using Beedrill to cushion his fall as he crashed and skidded on the ground. Groaning in pain and trying to get up quickly, he found himself being surrounded by the gang as they took out their weapons.
"Let's get him!"
Red looked up before he noticed a huge, rainbow-colored tidal wave behind his opponents which made him slightly worried before something grabbed him and dragged him from the street which confused them.
"What the?"
"Who the hell? Did he just disappear?"
Red fell to the ground, rubbing his head and feeling the pain coursing through his body. Looking up, he saw Leaf and Kim grinning as they watched the group get hit by the tidal wave, Kim making her Pokemon freeze the group while Leaf inspected his wounds with a worried expression. "Well, you're ok. How's everyone else, Red?"
"Why did you inspect him?" Kim turned to the two to which Leaf put her hands on her hips. "He has a tendency of shrugging critical wounds like it's nothing. Even when he's clearly in pain."
"No, I don-" Red was silent when Leaf gave him a judgmental glare and punched his arm which made him twitch in pain. "See?"
"Note taken." Kim said before they all came down from the building, the bluenette crossed her arms in a proud expression at the numerous unconscious grunts. "Nice! At least we took out the trash."
"We need to go! This whole place is a battlefield!" Leaf said as several explosions took place, much to Red's confusion. "What's going on?'
"A turf war, I guess. And a big one." Kim said before they saw a Charizard unleashing a wave of flames at them that was stopped by Wartortle's Protect. The Water-type then retaliated with Water Pulse that sent the lizard back, Leaf taking the chance to bring Red and Kim into an alleyway.
"We have no time to be looking around. We need to go back to the Game Corner to make sure everyone is ok." Leaf said as she scanned the street, getting a nod from both Kim and Red. "Right."
The trio dashed across the city, trying to avoid as much conflict as possible as they made their way to the Game Corner. As they reached near the building, they peeked around the corner to see unconscious bodies of the grunts stuck on the ground, some thrashing as they were stuck to the wall by Beedrill's silk.
"Damn, you did a number here, Red." Kim said as she kicked one of the unconscious bodies only to get a groan. "At least they're alive."
"But why are they asleep for so long?" Leaf asked before she turn to Red who answered her by pointing at Poli's Pokeball which made her snap her fingers in realization "Oooh. Hypnosis."
Kim let out a sigh as they went to the building. "Well, let's get to the-"
A wave of fire was sent at the trio, Leaf and Kim quickly making their counterattack.
"Drops, Hidden Power!"
"Wartortle, Water Pulse!"
Their Pokemon unleashed a huge tidal wave that stopped the flames, a cloud of fog covering the area before they saw a silhouette coming out of the visible gas.
"There you all are." The silhouette spoke, the teenagers seeing Angel emerging from the smoke with a crazed look on her face. Her Sylveon walked beside her as she glared at the trio, her eye twitching before she made her attack. "Mystical Fire."
The Pokemon shot a barrage of fireballs at the group, Red about to attack but his Pokemon suddenly were returned before he was stopped by an unknown force that lifted him into the air. "What the?"
"Red!" The two girls noticed a Hypno behind the teen, Honcho beside him as they dashed towards him. "Go D-"
"Don't you ignore me!" Angel shrieked, her Pokemon unleashing a Moonblast that was blocked by Wartortle. Kim clicked her teeth before she attacked Hypno with Drops which was stopped by a shadowy hand from Angel's Banette. "You two are going to be dealing with me. You deal with the boy, Honcho."
"Understood, Lady Angel." Honcho bowed before he attacked by shadowy hands from the ground, dodging them before he saw a huge fireball coming towards him. "Hypno, redirect that for me please!"
Hypno went in front of him and created an invisible wall that bounced the attack back at Red who made his Vulpix obliterate the fire, the fox immediately being recalled into its capsule which surprised the teen.
'What the?' He then noticed that he is still caught in the Psychic Pokemon's grasp as it flung him into a car which made him cough as he got up. "Ouch, that hurt!"
"Good because that is how I feel." The teen heard Honcho as he approached him, his Honchkrow descending beside his Hypno as he stared at him. "Now why don't you comply and stand down, Red Fires?"
Meanwhile, Leaf and Kim were able to push back Angel and her Pokemon, much to the woman's shock as Leaf's Wartortle shot a barrage of water bullets that send her into a wall.
"Man, at least we're not getting knocked around like a pinball like last time."
"If she wasn't so damn strong, we could be able to deal with both her and the gentleman looking dude."
An explosion of light went off in front of the two girls, Angel walking towards the two with a Pokeball in her hand before she glared angrily at them.
"I hate losing. I really hate losing and you guys!" She started, gripping the item with all her might before she looked at the two. She made a command for her Sylveon to shoot consecutive blasts which they dodged before they noticed a Pokeball in the air. "Shi-"
"Teddy! Crush them!" The capsule open to release a Komala that immediately used Earthquake that destroyed the area. It caused the road to break apart, cracks forming that nearly caused some of the building to capsize, Komala about to go for another before it was stopped by a Hidden Power from Vaporeon. Leaf and Kim tried to attack the koala who blocked their attacks with its log before it retaliated with Wood Hammer, it then about to go for another swing which the brunette stopped by releasing Lopunny.
At the other side of the road, Red quickly threw a Pokeball in the air which failed to open when it fell back into his hand, his eyes widened in shock. "W-what?"
"Don't think I'm going to let you do as you please. I've seen what happens when you are left unchecked." Honcho said, his Hypno slamming Red on the floor, the teen seeing Leaf and Kim who are holding their own as they sent out Lopunny and Piloswine as they managed to take out Sylveon.
"Damn you all! Sakura!" The admin called, a deer-like Pokemon with white fur and antler appeared beside her. Each step it made created a wave of ice as it glared at the two girls. "What is that?"
"A Sawsbuck?" Red said as he tried to get up only to be pushed under Hypno's telekinetic grasp. It then threw him again, the teen barely able to save himself by sending out Beedrill who was able to stop his fall before it was put into its capsule again. "Damn! At least I managed to stay alive."
"I'm surprised by your tenacity, Red Fires." Honcho stated as he walked towards the teen who was struggled against Hypno's telekinesis. "Can't have any more mistakes. Or any of your crazy ideas."
Leaf and Kim stopped a wave of ice spikes from Sawsbuck, the power from the Pokemon surprising the two. "This isn't good. Why is everything getting worse?"
"Yeah. And isn't this like a gang war? What happened to the? You know, 'their enemies'?" Kim said as she blocked Banette's Shadow Ball with her Vaporeon before it retaliated by surrounding the ghost with its molecules and battering it with Aurora Beam. The two were then pushed back by a barrage of Energy Ball from Sawsbuck before Banette lashed out at them with Shadow Claw. The female duo was about to make their counterattack until the ground underneath them started to lit up, much to their confusion before they were suddenly hit by a bolt of lightning.
"HAHAHAHAHA! How does that taste, you fucking bitches?" Angel cackled in laughter as she watched the girls fall to the ground, twitching in pain.
"W-w-we gotta stop that Sawsbuck quick before it goes for another one." Kim stuttered in pain, Leaf nodded before she noticed another bolt of lightning. "Lopunny, Thunder Punch and Agility!"
Lopunny moved as fast as it could and leaped into the air, about to intercept the electricity until it was suddenly hit by an Energy Ball that blasted it away, making the two girls get hit by another lightning strike.
Seeing the girls being electrocuted, Red was frozen in shock before his expression turned to rage as he pushed himself off the ground with all his might which failed. He then tapped his shadow which Honcho noticed, his Honchkrow knocking out Dusclops with a Dark Pulse. "Sorry about the harshness. With how you are, drastic measures have to be taken. No offense."
"None...taken." Red barely worded out before he smiled. "And same to you."
Honcho raised a brow, the teen slamming his hands on the ground before flames erupted from behind him. The fire then turned purple as it spread through the street, burning all the admin's Pokemon, much to everyone's surprise.
"How did he?" His eyes widened when he saw his Hypno and Honchkrow suffering from the attack, going for his next Pokeball until he noticed a Poliwhirl in front of him. 'This isn-'
The tadpole suddenly blasts of ice that froze Honcho's Pokemon before he felt sleepy and dizzy, the man falling to his knees.
Meanwhile, Leaf made her Lopunny land multiple blows onto Sawsbuck while Piloswine trapped both Sawsbuck and Komala into the ground with Bulldoze before Wartortle and Vaporeon battered the two with water bullets.
"Leaf!" Kim said as Sawsbuck unleashed a barrage of Energy Ball that hit them, knocking out Piloswine in the process.
"Got it! Lopunny, let's give them a shock!" Lopunny puts its ears into the water puddles surrounding their two foes before it electrocuted the two Pokemon with Thunder Punch. "Doesn't feel good, does it?"
Angel was about to return her Pokemon but the capsules were shot out of her hands by an Aurora Beam from Vaporeon, much to her anger. At that moment, Leaf noticed the ground underneath them glowing again, quickly grabbing Kim and jumping out of the way of a Thunderbolt before she made her Wartortle use Protect to stop the blasts.
"K-keep t-the shield up, Wartortle!" Leaf stuttered uncontrollably, Angel smiled evilly as she continued hitting the veil with Thunderbolt. "Marionette, Taunt."
"Shit! Zori, Taunt!" Leaf quickly sent out Zorua, both Pokemon using their moves which made Wartortle's Protect start to dissipate.
"Mothim, Protect." Kim let out Mothim who created another veil that protected. "Man, this is chaotic but we need to get out. W-we need to get out of here."
"You can hide in there forever!" Angel laughed at them before she suddenly was hit by a wave of ice. "Shit!"
She then noticed bubbles around her which surprised her. 'What the? Don't tell me Honcho...'
She turned to a drowsy Honcho who barely held his footing against Red who was on the offensive with Vulpix and Poli. She then decided to redirect the bubbles back at Red who was hit by the bubbles that immediately exploded.
"Get off your ass, Honcho!" She yelled at him.
"Easier...said than...done." Honcho said before he noticed the teen grabbing unto the car for balance as both of them try to get on their feet.
Taking advantage of the situation, Honcho made his Hypno shot a barrage of psychic blasts that was dodged by the Red's Pokemon. It then tried to attack Red but he took refuge behind a car before he commanded his Vulpix to use Hex, stunning the Psychic-type before it shot a Flamethrower that sent the Hypno towards Honchkrow. Not missing a beat, the fox trapped them in a ring of flames as they got burnt by the Hex attack.
"Damn…it…" Honcho said drowsily, about to drink something before it was suddenly knocked out of his hand. He then turned to Red who was throwing a few rocks in his hands. 'And the kid's not giving me a chance. Skills like those are essential. Too bad.'
Meanwhile, Leaf and Kim are still shielding themselves against the Thunderbolt, Angel started cackling. "That shield is going down real quick! Good riddance! Crush th-"
At that moment, she was hit by a blast of water that made her fall on the ground before it formed into Vaporeon and unleashed a wave of water that hit something that came into view, showing a Girafarig that fell to the ground.
"Phew! Finally!" Kim let out a sigh of relief before Leaf made her Zorua attack the Psychic Pokemon with Snarl that weakened it.
"Damn it! Thunderbolt, Poppy! Teddy shake the ground! Sakura, attack with ice spikes!" Angel made her command, her Pokemon unleashed their respective attacks. Lopunny quickly intercepted Komala as Leaf making her Wartortle use a Water Tornado that protected Zorua from the electric and ice attacks, the water absorbing the electricity before the turtle launched a barrage of electrified bullets at the group.
"Damn it, Teddy, crush them with Wood Hammer!"
"Oh no you don't! Mothim, Air Slash!"
As Komala knocked away Lopunny and leaped into the air, Mothim speedily went in front of it and used an Air Slash that sent the koala into Sawsbuck. Meanwhile, Red managed to freeze Honchkrow, taking the chance to defeat Hypno as he relentlessly attacked the Pokemon with Vulpix and Poli. 'Now for Honchkrow.'
As they were about to defeat the admins, their attacks vanished into thin air which surprised everyone.
"W-what happened?" Kim said, the three teens looking around the place. The admins were also surprised, Honcho letting out a disappointed sigh and shook his head.
"Is everything finished here?"
A voice echoed through the area, surprising the three teenagers as they looked around in silence and shock.
Everyone looked up to see a grey-haired old man, who was dressed in a white buttoned shirt and a pair of black business pants and dressing shoes, standing on top of a Metagross. He looked down at all of them with his arms folded, a serious expression adorning his face before his eyes landed on Honcho.
"Honcho, what's the hold up?" The man said, his deep voice striking fear into the admins as he glared at Honcho. "I thought I told you that we can't afford to be wasting any time or men on this mission."
"Sorry, boss. He put up much more of a fight than I expected." Honcho scratched his head before he dusted off his clothes before he fell into the ground. "Shit! I'm still dizzy."
"Wait, what? I thought he was the boss." Angel said, pointing at Honcho which made the man glared at the man. "Honcho, another one of your little lies."
"Sorry, sir. Could not pass up the opportunity." Honcho let out a small laugh, much to Angel's embarrassment. "Apologies, boss."
"Another of your schemes again, Honcho? Well, he is not wrong. He is Honcho but he is not the boss." The elderly man and his Metagross descended before he turn his gaze to the three teenagers. "For the little time that you have, you can address me as Kuroi Hanabusa."
Kim made her Mothim unleashed an Air Slash which was stopped by Metagross' Protect, Kuroi let out a sigh before he pinched the bridge of his nose. "This is what I get for giving you all the job. Fine, I'll take care of it myself."
He quickly tapped his foot on Metagross and put his hands in his pockets before he sat down, the three teenagers bracing themselves as he said one word. "Go."
Metagross glowed intensely before it unleashed a powerful shockwave that pushed back the trio and their Pokemon back, Leaf noticed the Steel Pokemon beginning to move.
"Lopunny, intercept it with Thunder Pun-"
"Drops, take it o-"
Within a moment, Metagross appeared between the two girls which surprised them.
"Out of my way." The man calmly said, his Pokemon unleashing a powerful telekinetic shockwave that blasted both Kim and Leaf, the girls using Protect before Lopunny and Vaporeon went to attack it. Metagross' arms glowed and transformed into iron before it spun around, landing several heavy blows to its attackers, sending Lopunny through a building and Vaporeon into the ground.
"Lopunny!"
"Drops!"
The two girls yelled out of concern and shock, Wartortle and Mothim dashing towards the Steel-type who outstretched its arms to their directions before shooting two lasers at them, quickly knocking them out.
"Shit!" Leaf said before Metagross appeared in front of her and Kim, its telekinetic pressure causing them to freeze in place, especially Leaf who tried to grab her Pokeball. 'Just calm down, Leaf. We need to-'
In a moment, the girl felt immense pain as she spat out blood, the girl turning to see Kim doing the same before she fell unconscious. "Kim…"
"How are you two still alive?" The elderly man wondered before he saw a dark energy holding Metagross' arms then turning to Red whose eyes are glowing intensely, his Vulpix using Hex on the iron automaton. "Interesting. I now understand what Honcho is talking about. No matter."
"Vulpix, Flamethrower. Full Power."
The old man dashed towards Red who made his Pokemon unleashed a power beam of fire that covered the street and enveloped Metagross in a furnace of flames. Not missing a beat, he made Poli unleashed a huge wave of Hypnosis as he waited and observed the fire.
'I can't make any bad movements.' He waited and kept on his guard. Suddenly, Poli was hit by a blast that sent it down the street, surprising Red before Metagross emerged from the flames, catching the teenager off guard.
"Had that been anyone else, that would work." The man said with a serious glare. Red was about to make his move before his Vulpix was blasted away by a Psychic that slammed it into a wall. "However, your time is up, boy."
"Oh no! Vulp-" He suffered a punch to the gut, a crunching sound happening in his body as he noticed one of Metagross' claws stabbed him, causing blood erupted from his mouth and his eyes rolled back, the man quickly picking up the teen. "Mission accomplished."
Leaf was shocked by the development, her vision blurry as she watched Red being taken away and Metagross in the distance, sending out Roselia.
"Weather...Ball..." She pointed at her fleeing target, Roselia charging a huge ball of fire and shot it towards Metagross. As soon as it was about to reach the Steel-type, the Pokemon unleashed a wave of energy that dispersed the blast which surprised the girl before she noticed Honcho in the distance.
"Shit..." Leaf said as she heard Angel behind her approaching her. "Roselia...shield."
Roselia nodded before it created a veil of vines that surrounded both Kim and Leaf. Within the shield, she tried to move her body despite the excruciating pain that she felt in her stomach. "Crap! I think I might have broken a few ribs..."
She checked her team, the girl hearing a sound of cracking, looking to see part of the shield starting to freeze which shocked her.
"Oh no! Seli-" She was cut off when suddenly part of the shield was destroyed, frozen pieces of it falling on the ground before the brunette found herself face to face with Sawsbuck.
"Selia, Weather Ball!" Selia charged a Weather Ball and was about to attack before Sawsbuck unleashed a wave of ice, freezing the Poison-type, much to Leaf's dismay. "Damn it!"
"Yeah, you failed." Angel stated with a sly smile. "What's wrong? Where's all that bravado?"
Her Pokemon got closer, each step it makes freezing the place as it made its way to Leaf who went to get her Pokeballs only to be hit with an Energy Ball.
"Freeze her." Angel said, the deer's eyes glowing as it launched a wave of ice that went towards both Leaf and Kim.
"Flame Wheel!"
A wheel of flames hit Sawsbuck in the face, creating a shockwave of fire that melted ice before it was knocked into a wall, surprising the admins.
"What's happening?" Angel mumbled before she saw a Raticate coming out of the flames which made her froze in shock. "No…don't tell me that's what I think it is."
She turned to see Fiona who was standing on a building with folded arms.
"Fiona..."
Angel was surprised by the presence of the girl who quickly commanded her Raticate to take Leaf and Kim which Honcho interrupted. "Oh no you don't."
Girafarig shot a Thunderbolt that stopped the man, much to his confusion before he turned to Angel. "What is the reason for this, Angel?"
"Fiona, what are you doing here?" Angel said as her Girafarig stopped Raticate in its tracks. "You might get hurt! Go home!"
"I was looking for you, sis! Why are you with those bad people? Do you know what they have done?" Fiona shouted at Angel, her Raticate eyes glowed before it turned to Girafarig and shot a blast of lightning that hit the giraffe which made it let go of the rat. Angel stood quiet, taking a moment to think before she lifted her hand. "You shouldn't be here, Fiona...go home, please."
"I was training as hard as I can because I wanted a rematch with Red. I learnt so much from losing and I'm getting better. I know that you saw winning as everything but if we have to cheat to win, is it considered winning?" Fiona asked, her Raticate dodging an ice wave from Sawsbuck before using Flame Wheel. "Why are you here, Sis?"
"..."
"Why?!" Fiona raised her voice. Angel stayed quiet before she made her Girafarig lift Raticate in the air and hit it with a Thunderbolt, knocking out the Pokemon which Fiona returned before she called for another Pokemon which is an Alolan Grimer. The pink-haired woman looked at her sister with a conflicted expression. "It's none of your business! Go home! You won't understand. I can't let you..."
"Now Angel..." Honcho's voice made Angel's heart stop before she saw him get up. "Why are you taking so long? Are you trying to help the enemy? That's no good. If our boss knows of this...it's not going to be pretty."
"N-no." The pink-haired woman panicked as she started explaining. "I'm just a little dizzy but don't worry, I'll take care of this myself-"
"You heard the boss. We need to wrap up everything as quickly as possible." Honcho stated before he snapped his finger, his Honchkrow shot a Dark Pulse at Fiona which was stopped by Angel. "I told you I will deal with her!"
"Why don't we deal with her together? You're making things difficult." The man said, his Honchkrow battling it out with Angel's Girafarig. Fiona was confused by the situation before she decided to make her Grimer retrieve Leaf and Kim but she was stopped by a Thunderbolt from Girafarig. "Go now! Leave on your own, Fiona! Honcho, I will explain this later!"
"Sorry but we can't have any witnesses." Honcho made another attack which Angel was able to stop by creating a wall of ice. "Fiona! You need to go-"
"Like I said. No witnesses."
A shot echoed through the area, Angel turned to see Fiona falling off the roof, a gunshot wound showing at the girl's side. Her eyes widened when she panickily ran to her falling sister, a pure expression of shock on her face.
"Fiona! Poppy, catch her!"
Her Girafarig managed to catch the girl with Psychic, gently putting her on the ground as Angel ran to her. "Fiona! Fiona!"
She noticed the gunshot wound at Fiona's side as blood started to spill from the area. The woman's vision went blurry when tears bubbled in her eyes, looking around the place before she shot a look of rage towards Honcho. "You...you..."
"I do not the relations between you and this person, Angel but...Angel...a mission is a mission..." Honcho stated coldly, the woman shaking in anger as her Pokemon turned to the gentleman. "You motherfucker!"
Her Pokemon attacked him, the man let out a sigh before his expression sharpened. "Honchkrow. Stop the attack!"
Honchkrow eyes glowed intensely before it stopped their attacks with a wave of dark energy, shocking Angel. Before she could go for another attack, her Pokemon were taken out in an instant. 'He was never that strong. What the hell?'
"It's too bad, Angela. You chose poorly." The man said in a cold tone as his Pokemon shot a Dark Pulse at her.
"Solar Beam!"
A blast stopped Honchkrow's attack, Angel surprised by the attack before she turned around to see someone she was not expecting.
"Not you..."
In front of her was Erika who was on top of her Gogoat, a serious expression on her face as she glared at Honcho.
"Erika..." Angel muttered as the gym leader stood against Honcho who laughed before he bowed in front of the raven-haired woman. "The gym leader of Celadon City, Erika Fujiwara. Nice to meet you."
"Honcho..." Erika mumbled before she looked at Fiona and Angel, her expression turning to rage when she saw the wound. "A child...you would bring a child into a gang war?"
"My apologies but it is how we work. It is her fault for barging into a situation she has no business being in. Honchkrow, Dark Pulse!" Honcho made the first move, his Honchkrow going on the attack by shooting a Dark Pulse. Not wasting any time, Erika tapped Gogoat's horn which made it charge towards the bird, dodging the blast before it rammed into Honchkrow with Horn Leech. the raven-haired woman jumped off her Pokemon before she shot an arrow at Honcho, knocking the Pokeball that he pulled out of his hand before the arrow exploded in a yellow dust cloud that surrounded the man.
"I know this…c-crap." The man coughed, his body twitching uncontrollably before he fell to the ground. Erika turned to the two girls, seeing a crying Angel clutching her motionless sister. "C-can you help her please?"
The raven-haired woman tended to Fiona's wounds, the woman using the herbal cream and rubbed it along the girl's side, causing her to clench her teeth in pain which made Angel worried. "Don't worry, she's gonna be ok. Tangrowth."
"Yes..." Angel said, gripping her sister's hand like a lifeline as the gym leader commanded her Tangrowth to use its vines to gently remove the bullet before she stopped the bleeding, Fiona grunting in pain as tears came out of her eyes.
"Alright, good. She should be stabilized." The gym leader stated, letting Tangrowth wrapping its vines around the girl's stomach to create a makeshift bandage. "Alright. Get her to the hospital now."
"Yes...thank you." Angel said before she called her Sawsbuck and left towards the direction of the hospital. Erika watched the woman about to leave, taking a deep breath. "I hope you see what you're doing, Angela? The consequences of your actions on your family?"
"..." Angel stayed quiet as she positioned her sister on the Pokemon as she hopped on herself.
"We'll talk more about this later. Get your sister to safety." Erika said, Angel nodded before she left with Sawsbuck. The gym leader went to Leaf and Kim who are both coughing up blood. "This isn't good."
She went to work as she checked on their injuries, Leaf grabbing her hand during the process. "We need to go...they got Red...the old man..."
"I understand. Focus on your breathing. We'll get him soon. He'll be back soon." Erika told the girl which surprised the brunette. "He?"
After she finished tending their wounds, she looked down the street to see a bolt of lightning chasing after the flying Metagross. She was about to take the girls back to the hospital before she saw a bike coming towards them, stopping in front of her.
"Lady Erika, we'll take them to the hospital. We need you to help our leader." The masked female biker said as a few more bikes followed, surprising Erika. "How did y-"
"It's going to be ok." She took off her mask, Erika surprised to see Julia who came off her bike and went towards her. "We'll help them as much as we can."
"Julia...you were still..."
"We have no time to talk about this. Go help Tony. I know you want to." Erika looked in concern before she nodded. "Please take care of them. They need immediate attention. Also, thank you."
"Got it. Stay safe!" Julia said as she took the teens and left on their bikes. Seeing them leave, Erika then jumped onto her Gogoat and tapped its horn which made it dash towards the Route 16.
"Well, I guess it's just like the phrase goes. If you want something done, do it yourself." Kuroi said as he is almost out of Celadon City before he heard groaning behind him. He turned to see Red who was clutching his bleeding stomach, trying to move as the man took out a piece of a pipe.
"Go to sleep, child." The man said before he slammed the pipe onto Red's head, knocking the teenager unconscious. As he was about to reach Route 16, a bolt of lightning came from above and hit Metagross, knocking it off balance which made the man almost lose his balance before he noticed Red's body sliding off the Steel Pokemon.
"What on earth?" He mumbled before he noticed another bolt of lightning coming at him at a break necking pace. He then heard a roar that conjured blasts of electricity that came towards him, his Metagross using Protect to shield itself against the attack. The man clicked his tongue until he noticed a bolt of lightning approaching him quickly.
"Meteor Mash."
A collision between Metagross and the bolt of lightning which created a powerful shockwave that parted the clouds in the night sky. He continued to trade blows with the lightning streak until Kuroi was caught off guard when a barrage of rainbow-colored beams that hit the metallic Pokemon.
"What on earth is happening?" Kuroi asked before he noticed Red's body falling off of Metagross, the bolt of lightning immediately catching him. Seeing the electricity land on the roof, the lightning dispersing to show a Luxray, the old man angered when he saw the person who had Red in his grasp.
"You little brat." Kuroi's eyes squinted as he saw Tony, who was dressed in a black shirt and pants along with bandages wrapped around his arms and head. He put down Red on the roof before he shot the old man a stare.
"You never change. Do you, old man?" Tony scoffed, glaring at the man. "This type of shit is the reason that Pops had to whoop your ass and make you go to jail. Times have changed! Things have changed!"
"You don't understand. It's more than that!" The old man said before his Metagross shot a Flash Cannon, Luxray dodging the blast until Tony noticed the blue metallic spider shot several more beams from its legs which the lynx continued evading before it retalilated with a lightning bolt.
"Forget about Luxray, get the kid." Kuroi commanded, his Pokemon unleashed a barrage of energy spheres which Luxray dodged, knocking away the others that were aimed at Tony and Red.
"Meteor Mash!" Metagross's arms glowed intensely as it dashed towards Tony who made his Luxray use Iron Tail to block the strike, the two clashing with each other for a while until the Electric-type wrapped its tail around Metagross' arm before flinging it towards the ground. "Tony, that boy is important to our operation growing."
"Important to what? Your damn ego?" Tony said as he noticed a blast coming towards him, grabbing Red and jumping to another roof which made him feel pain coursing through his stomach and legs.
"Damn you, boy. Our business is declining. We can't keep this up."
"And whose fault do you think that is?"
"Shut up and listen to your grandfather!" Kuroi shouted, his Metagross unleashed a telekinetic blast that was stopped by Luxray who retaliated with Thunder.
"Get your head out of your fucking ass!" Tony said, his Luxray unleashed a black soundwave that pushed away Metagross and sent it towards the ground.
Getting up, the man noticed a pack of Luxio surrounded him and Metagross before they all unleashed a barrage of Snarl at the Psychic Pokemon, causing it's to drop Kuroi who looked up to see Tony glaring down at him. "You...damn..."
"You got me good last time by making Honcho have your Metagross but you're not getting a second chance! I'm going to personally fuck you up!" Tony folded his arms as he noticed his Pokemon starting to weaken, the Pokemon unable to use its attacks. Kuroi was about to get another Pokeball but it was stopped when a bolt of lightning nearly hit him. "Protect."
Surrounding itself with Protect, Metagross unleashed a telekinetic wave of debris that knocked back the pack of Luxio, Luxray dodging the falling rocks before it noticed the Steel-type and Kuroi dashing towards its trainer and Red. Tony was about to get the child before he was sent into a wall, knocking the wind out of him.
"Shit..." He coughed up blood before he made his command. "...Snarl..."
Luxray and the pack of Luxio used Snarl, causing the Metagross to fall before it shot a barrage of Flash Cannon which all the lynxes dodged, one of them getting hit by the attack which knocked it out.
"Protect yourselves!" Tony said, his Luxray roared which caused the Luxio to use Protect to shield themselves from Metagross' attacks. Not wasting any time, Luxray used Thunder, securing a direct hit on Metagross that sent it away from Red and into the road of Route 16.
"Damn it!" The elderly man stated, struggling to get up from the ground. "You're this strong."
"Like I said: times have changed, Gramps. I've changed as well." Tony approached the man atop his Luxray, the pack of Luxio following him and jumping onto every mountain cliff available to surround Kuroi. "And the family is in need of a new leader."
"Don't kid yourself, boy." The elderly man said as he grabbed a Pokeball, a smile on his face as he opened the capsule which creating blast a wind that pushed the Pokemon back before it swirled into a huge tornado. The cyclone got bigger, the winds travelling through Celadon City having enough force to lift some small items and Pokemon into the air. Tony kept a straight face when he looked at the huge twister in front of him. "I'm getting tired of this. Luxray!"
Luxray roared, launching a Thunder at the tornado, the Luxio gang followed with shooting their own attacks that dispersed the twister, showing a Dragonite in the air.
"Don't you remember who created this gang, boy?" Kuroi said with a serious expression as the dragon shot multiple blasts of electricity that the lynxes stopped. Within the chaos, Tony noticed Metagross rocketing towards Red, sending out his Furret and making it use Sucker Punch which allowed it to be able to slowly catch up with the Steel-type. "It won't reach in time."
As Metagross was about to reach Red, a bunch of vines grabbed the teen and moved him out of the way, much to everyone's surprise. Everyone turned to see Tangrowth who put the teen beside Erika before the woman saw the blue metallic spider lunging at her with a Meteor Mash. Tapping her Gogoat, the Pokemon retreated before her Tangrowth struck Metagross in the face which sent it down the street.
Quickly recovering, Metagross was about to unleash a Flash Cannon before it was hit with a Sucker Punch from Furret that sent it sliding across the street, Erika smiled as she noticed the Pokemon.
As Tangrowth and Furret battled against Metagross, Erika tried to inspect Red's body, doing her best to push past her fear as she checked the teen's body. "Ok...broken ribs. He seems to have internal injuries and this stab wound...I can't help him...not with these serious injuries..."
Erika tried as professionally as she could to administer a pain relief herb cream on the teen's stomach, taking out a roll of medicinal tape from a pouch on Gogoat's side and wrapping it around the teen's stomach. After she was finished, she heard engine sounds behind her, seeing a female Draconite member on a motor bike, the woman had a worried look on her face as she came off the vehicle. "Is he ok?"
"Take him to the hospital! He needs immediate attention. I will deal with the geeze-I mean old man." Erika cleared her throat before she hopped on her Gogoat, the woman nodded as she picked up Red and put him on the bike with her before they left.
Meanwhile, Tony was holding his own against Kuroi, his Luxray and Luxio launching bolts of lightning that Dragonite swiftly dodged before it retaliated by creating a huge purple energy dragon avatar that is coming towards him.
"Luxray, Strength!" Tony voiced his move, his Luxray dashing towards Dragonite with a heavy blow. The two clashed with each other, creating a powerful shockwave that created a crater, the lynx being pushed back by Dragonite's attack. Before they were about to get hit by the Dragon Rush, an arrow came from Tony and hit Dragonite, exploding in its face before it was hit by a blast that sent it into a wall. Tony and Kuroi turned to see Erika on top of Gogoat, the woman stopping beside Tony which made the elderly man growl in anger. "Another headache..."
"It's nice to meet you again, Master Hanabusa."
Metagross immediately came back beside Kuroi, the man angry as he noticed that the Pokemon does not have Red. "I take it you took the kid."
"Oh well. I will get him anyways." The old man said as he got up and glared at the two, his Pokemon ready to fight as Erika and Tony faced against him. "After I'm done with you two."
Sorry about the huge delay with the chapter. I had to take out all of this at once. To be honest, I liked everything about this arc. You might realize that Erika is one of my favorite gym leaders by now. The next chapter will be out by tomorrow, I promise. Hope you guys will be safe and take care. Enigma out.
