"Erika..."

A little Erika was looking around the place, she was dressed in a green kimono with her long hair tied in a low ponytail. She was holding an Oddish who jumped out of her arms and waddled around the place. Curiosity shone on both Erika and her Pokemon's faces as they observed the huge, yellow and black mansion in front of them. "Huge..."

Her mother and father smiled at the little girl's curious nature before they heard the doors open, a maid bowing in front of them. "Greeting, Master Fujiwara. We have been expecting you. Please follow me."

The two parents nodded as they held Erika's hands as the maid escorted them inside the building, the little girl's eyes gleamed as she saw the inside of the mansion. 'It's so pretty.'

"I know." Her father said with a melancholic tone as they continued walking until the maid turned around and gestured them inside a huge room that had walls painted in a polka dot pattern. Looking around the room, Erika smiled until she was called by her parents who were seated, her mother waved at her with a smile.

"Come, Erika. Sit down."

The raven-haired girl did as told as she sat beside her mother, looking up to see a couple who were dressed in black kimono. The man was a tall, brown-haired spectacled man with a rugged look with a scar on his ear. 'Cool...'

Erika looked at the woman who was a woman whose black hair was tied in a hair bun, she had black lipstick as she bowed at them. 'Pretty...'

The last person she looked at was a boy who looked to be the same age as her, a bandage on his right cheek along with a scar between his eyes. His kimono had white lightning patterns on it. The two locked eyes with each other before the boy waved at her which she timidly returned. 'Friendly...'

"It's nice to see you again, old friend." Erika's father spoke up with a smile as both him and the other man shook hands and hugged each other.

"Likewise, Master Fujiwara. Sorry for not being able to keep in touch with you. Had a lot of meetings that I had to attend." Hanabusa stated, scratching his head before he leaned forward. "How about you? How are things fairing you now, 'Gym Leader'?"

"It's ok. You'd be surprised how much people gave up on their journey because of me. They had to put my gym in the sixth spot on the badge case." He let out a bellow before he folded his arms. As the parents spoke with each other, Erika was playing with her two Oddish before she noticed the boy getting up and walking outside, a hardened look on his face.

"Hey, Erika. Why don't you play with the boy?" Her mother told her, the girl looking outside. Erika would be lying if she said she was not interested in knowing the boy and his Shinx.

"Ok, Mom." She nodded before she dashed towards the boy. Hanabusa gestured the boy to Erika, the boy nodded before he approached the girl and held out his hand to her. Looking at the hand for a while, the girl could not get the chance to think when the boy grabbed her hand and brought her to the backyard which she noticed was enormous. Seeing the boy play with her Pokemon and his Shinx, Erika called for him before she went in front of him.

"My name is Erika. What's yours?" The girl bowed gracefully before she hid her face in her kimono sleeves out of shyness. The boy was in a daze before she shook his head and held out his hand with a huge blush on his face. "Uhh, Tony. The name's Tony."

Seeing his flustered expression, Erika could not help but let out a giggle before she shook Tony's hand. "Hi there, Tony. Is that a scar?"

"Oh yeah. I got it when I was trying to get this little guy." Tony said as he lifted Shinx in his arms with a proud grin, the Pokemon letting out a frustrated growl. "He's grumpy but he's a good guy."

"Oh really!" Erika said before she petted the little feline, it was planning to bite her hand before it felt the glare from Tony which made it close its mouth and licked her hand instead. As the two kids got acquainted with each other, the two parents looked at their kids with a smile before Erika's father spoke up. "I'm surprised that they got acquainted with each other so quickly."

"Yeah, I thought my kid was gonna avoid her." Hanabusa noticed Tony watering the two Oddish before the girl released a Bellsprout who they both played with along with his Shinx.

"Young Masayuki has grown well. You've done a great job raising him." Fujiwara commented with a smile as he sees the young boy do a handstand and clapping his feet, getting a chuckle from Erika who was sitting down and watching him. "How old is he?"

"Correct. Also, he would rather be called Tony." The men shared a laugh. "He always bites his lip whenever he says his name so he wants it changed."

"I can see that happening. Especially since he's your son."

"Hey, you're no better. Your daughter seems to have her head in the clouds like you."

"Yeah, she is. She is." Fujiwara stated as he looked at Erika who was smiling when she saw her Oddish unleashed a cloud of spores that made Tony sneeze. "My daughter isn't that energetic. She likes to stay home with her plants and sleep all day."

"Well, they're kids. Let them be kids." Hanabusa laughed heartily, his wife smiling as well.

The parents continued with their conversation while drinking sake until they got silent, their expressions becoming serious as Erika's father decided to break the silence. "I think it is time to break the news to the kids."

"Are you sure about this? Shouldn't we wait until they're a little older? I mean look at them. They're just kids." Hanabusa said with a worried tone as Fujiwara nodded as he called for his daughter. Erika went to her parents along with Tony, their Pokemon running beside them. "Yes, Father."

The two fathers shared a nod before Fujiwara took a deep breath and put his hands on his daughter's shoulder. "Erika, Tony. I have something to tell you both."

The two children were worried before they waited for their parents to speak.

"You two are going to be married." Fujiwara said in a calm voice to the children. Hearing this, the two kids looked at each other with confused expression before they turned to their parents, Tony speaking first. "What's a 'marriage'?"

"Is it good? Is it a plant or Pokemon?" Erika said with her finger on her chin. The two fathers shared a laugh before they explained the term to the kids who were still confused which made Hanabusa look at Fujiwara. "See? Let them be kids."

"Alright, you're right."

"C'mon, Eri! I gotta show you my grandpa's Metagross!" Tony grabbed Erika's arm and took her to the back of the mansion, showing her a huge metallic spider, its red eyes looking at the girl who was a little wary of the Pokemon. "A-are you sure?"

"Yeah, it's gonna be fine. Metagross is a cool dude." Tony said as he got close to the Steel-type and tapped its head, getting a growl from it. Erika gulped before she approached the Pokemon, trying to fight back her fear as she outstretched her hand at the Iron Leg Pokemon.

'Don't get hurt. Don't get hurt.' She thought as she closed his eyes. Seeing her hand and the scared expression on her face, Metagross sighed before it touched her hand which surprised the girl, a smile then coming on her face as she turned to Tony. "I touched it! It's alright with me touching it!"

"See? I told you. Cool dude!" Tony smiled. They played with Metagross and the Pokemon, the girl enjoying herself until it was time for her to go home as the two waved at each other. "Buh-bye, Tony!"

"See ya, Eri!" Tony waved at her with a huge smile.

'Eri...ka...'

"Huh?" Erika was surprised when she heard the voice, looking around the place before she turned her gaze to her parents. "Mommy, were you calling me?"

"Oh no, sweetie. You're probably tired. Let's go home." Her mother patted her head. This ended the first encounter between Erika and Tony. The girl interested in the son of the Hanabusa family and his Shinx.

Little did the two know that this would be the beginning of their relationship. Days turn to months turn to years as Erika and Tony hanged out with each other, their relationship growing closer as time goes on to the point where the two naturally became a couple. Within time, the two were inseparable at the age of thirteen years as they both find their own paths, Tony going on his journey to succeeding his father as leader of his gang and the leader of his family while Erika was learning how to become a gardener.

At one calm day within the city of Celadon, Erika, dressed in a white and red kimono, was humming while she was tending to the garden within the Gym building, the girl being assisted by her two Gloom and her Weepinbell. As the girl was enjoying the silence within the place for a while, the doors to the gym opened, showing Tony who was dressed in a black, long-sleeved shirt and grey pants along with blue sneakers.

"Hey, Eri!" He announced his presence before he put his hands in his pockets.

"Tony! You're back!" She ran up to him and gave him a hug which he returned. "Yeah! Had to return for the Rainbow badge. I just beat Blaine! The old dude gave me a problem but it was nothing for Luxray and Dugtrio! Also, Scar!"

"Oh! You still have Butterscotch?" Erika said as his Furret popped out of Tony's capsules, the guy letting out a sigh while she was petting the Pokemon.

"C'mon, Eri! His nickname is Scar!" Tony said while scratching his head, Erika giggled at him before she kissed him on the cheek which caused him to jump. "Jeez! What got you so aggressive?"

"You haven't been here for a while so I figured you need a kiss." Erika answered bluntly as she went to water some other plants, Tony sighed as he petted her Gloom before her Weepinbell attached on his head. "Glad to see you too, Weepinbell."

"Aw~ I guess I'm not the only one who miss you. Sooo, what are you doing here? Also, can you help me with the tulips please?" She gave him a watering can, Tony nodded as he put down his bag and released his party who helped Erika with her gardening. "Well, you're right about one thing."

"Hm?" Erika turned to him who helped her.

"I wanted to see you since you barely answer your Pokegear. Also, I'm here for my final badge."

"Oh, really. Congrats! How did you beat Koga and Clint? I thought those two were considered the strongest. People skip Pewter City for last because of Clint."

Hearing that, Tony smiled before he gestured to his Dugtrio and Dragonair which made her gasp in realization. "Your Dratini evolved! Has Tony been behaving himself, guys?"

"Oh, come on! You know I'm not the type to pick fights or cause trouble!" Tony said with his arms crossed, unaware of the side glances that his Pokemon were giving him, Erika holding back a chuckle when she noticed the bandages underneath his shirt. "As long as you're safe, Tony. How long are you staying for?"

"I dunno. I'm gonna spend some time here since I'm going to be challenging your old man." Tony said while spraying water at the flowers, Erika seeing confidence radiating off his face. "So my dad's your last challenge? Are you sure you don't need to train for him?"

Tony gestured to his party again, the girl noticing Dragonair and Furret that made her gasp in realization. "I keep forgetting you have Dragonair on your team. After this, you're gonna take up the leadership of the Draconites, right?"

"Yeah." Tony smiled as they both decided to take a break by sitting by the garden and drinking water. "I don't want to but it's the family tradition. Only son and all that. But maybe I can achieve what I want through becoming the leader. First thing I'm gonna do is change that gang."

"Huh? To what exactly? You can't become a police officer if you're going to become a leader of the gang."

"I know. However, I can protect the public from the shadows. Like a shadow protector. Like the dude in armor who fight criminals with gadgets and his group of Crobats."

Erika smiled as she listened to Tony's talking about his journeys, the two making up for lost time until she asked a question that changed his mood. "So how's your dad? I never got the chance to meet him since I've been busy with my archery classes and flower arrangement."

Tony paused for a moment, looking at the floor with a frown before he answered. "Dad's been worried about the family business."

"Huh?" Erika said surprised before she raised a brow. "Why? Wasn't he planning to make a medicinal chain for the business?"

"Yeah. He was supposed to but Grandpa's been giving him such a hard time. The old coot won't allow him to start his business and wants him to continue with the old mafia mumbo jumbo. Something about 'needing to keep the tradition'. It was really annoying."

Erika noticed the frustrated expression on her boyfriend's face, she then smiled as she put a hand on him and rubbed his back. "Maybe...it's best to talk...your grandfather may have a good reason...for doing what he did."

Tony thought about it for a while before he mumbled. "Maybe..."

He let out a smile and then turned to a sleeping Erika which made his eye twitch. "Seriously?! Stop dozing off!"

"Huh? Oh, sorry...I'm a little tired." She wiped her eyes getting a sigh from Tony. "How long?"

"For a few hours."

"So you were basically up the whole night doing archery?" Tony said before he laid down on the grass, Erika laying beside him. "Let's just take it easy. What were you doing while I was gone?"

For the whole day, the two teenagers spent their time in the garden, speaking about their individual journeys as they watched their Pokemon play with each other. After the day is done, the two parted ways, Tony giving her a box of cookies and a couple of evolutionary stones for her Pokemon.

"I got these for you. I know you like Vileplume and Bellossom so yeah." Tony said with a smile while scratching his head, Erika looked at the stones before she smiled, running forward and kissing Tony on the lips as he reciprocated the contact.

"Thank you." The raven-haired girl said.

"It's no problem. I'm just glad you like it." Tony let out a toothy grin before he left, the girl smiling as she watched his fleeting silhouette.

'Eri...Errrrrrrr...'

"H-huh?" Erika was looking around the place, seeing that she was in a hospital room. Her eyes then landed on a wounded Tony who was covered in bandages.

"Tony..." She mumbled, tears coming out of her eyes when he slowly came to. "What happened to him?"

"He was attacked by his grandfather last night." Tanaka said behind her, surprising her before she noticed the pure look of rage from the man. "That damn father of mine. To hurt my son like this."

Erika was surprised by this before she felt the hold on her hand tightening, turning to see Tony who slowly woke up. "Huh? What...happened?"

"You were attacked...by your grandfather last night." His father explained as he looked down on the ground. "I couldn't forgive him for what he did. I had to call the police after that. Father has been arrested for what he has done."

"Oh." That was all Tony could say as he looked down at the sheet, Erika worried about him as she picked up a basket of fruits that was at her feet.

She could not believe it. Erika knew that Tony and his grandfather does not have the best relationship but she never thought that his own grandfather would go that far. To attack him and wound him like this.

'Why he would go that far?' Erika thought before Tony wiped the tears from her eyes, a smile on his face. "Sorry I made you worry..."

"Well, the good thing is that you're ok. You just need to take it easy from here. Alright?" Erika said with a smile before she handed Tony an apple. The raven-haired teenager smiled as he ate the apple before he mumbled something under his breath. "You're wrong, old man..."

"What was that?" Erika asked, Tony simply patting her on the head. "It's nothing, Eri! Nothing at all."

"Oh...ok." Erika mumbled with a raised brow. Wondering what happened to make his grandfather would like to attack him.

'Erika...'

"Huh?" Erika was confused, looking around before she turned to Tony. "Did you mumble my name?"

"Huh? No." Tony said with a raised brow, surprising the girl before he looked at her worried. "Are you sure you don't need rest?"

"Maybe I do." Erika said, holding her head. She then spent the rest of the time with Tony, trying to help him as much as she could until the hospital was closed.

'Erikkkkkkkkkkkkkkkaaaaa...'

It has been a few months since the accident, Tony taking a break in the city as he helped his father with his pharmaceutical plan which managed to be a quirk success despite Kuroi's low expectations. Tanaka was even able to get help from Mr. Fujiwara as they all worked towards the betterment of the Hanabusa family. Erika was happy to hear the good news from her father despite it resulting in him being busier to help his father.

So she cannot lie that she was happy to be able to spend some time with Tony as they went to a date in Saffron City. During the date, he was challenged to a battle to which he won, Erika, her Victreebel and two Gloom cheering him on.

"Why don't you try to get in on the action, Eri?" Tony waved at her after his battle to which the girl responded by shaking her head. "Nah~ I like to just enjoy the silence."

"Seriously? C'mon! Why don't you-"

"...zzz..." Tony heard the girl silently snore on the bench, letting out a sigh before he took off his jacket and putting it on her. "The fact that she can fall asleep mid-convo is honestly impressive."

Erika smiled as the boy sat beside her, picking some leaves off her body while he drank his soda and grumbled which made her smile before she decided to shuffle herself towards him and kiss him on the cheek which surprised him. "Don't want to reenact Sleeping Jynx?"

He jumped again when her mouth opened which made her let out a giggle as she opened her eyes. Tony gave her a judgmental glare before he flicked her forehead. "You're too sleepy, Eri."

"You wouldn't have been with me if I wasn't like this."

"You're not wrong." Tony said before he kissed her which made her smile. They then ate ice cream as Erika looked at Tony, happy to see the smile on his face.

"Someone seems to be happy. Something good happen?" Erika asked, her Pokemon jumping onto her lap. Tony smiled as he looked up to the sky, seeing the blue change into a orange hue. "Yep. We're finally able to get something going on. We got a client to take some medicines for father's company. Plus, my Jynx learned a new move and it's perfect for your old man. For the first time in forever, everything is going well. Didn't think getting rid of the old man would do so much?"

"Tony!"

"He deserves it. The old coot nearly killed me. Plus, we're not close anyways. I don't think the old man knows my name." Tony folded his arms and leaned on the bench. Erika took a green drink out of her bag and handed to him which he thanked her for.

"I would be willing to forgive him for that but...when he talked bad about you...I lost it. He wanted me to break up with you and marry to some blonde chick he picked up saying 'it's for the betterment of the family' and all that bullshit." He said as he looked at the drink, this surprised Erika. So it was because his grandfather insulted her. She then laughed as she wiped the ice cream on his face with a handkerchief. 'That's just like him. Picking fights to protect others.'

Erika put her hand on his, looking up to his brown eyes. "Thanks for doing that for me. But please, you need to be careful. You have a bad habit of getting into fights. I don't want you to have any more scars."

Tony nodded as he held her hands, their fingers intertwining as they looked at each before they heard whistling, looking around to see people looking at them.

"Mommy! They're like the Luvdisc at the pond!" A child said which made the two blush before they left the place and went to a quieter section of the city which was near the Pokemon Center. Enjoying the silence and eating dinner, Tony looked at his food with a serious face before he took a deep breath and lifted his gaze to Erika.

"Hey, Erika." He called her, the girl turning to him as he looked at her and grabbed her hands. "No matter what happens, know that I will always protect you. Even if you manage to hate me."

"Pfft. Me. Hating you? Like that will ever happen." Erika let out a giggle, Tony smiled before he took out a small box from his bag and handed to her. "I know I'm late but happy 18th birthday."

"You were never late for my birthdays. You were just busy." The girl said matter-of-factly. Despite his rough personality, Tony has never forgotten her birthday, even if she did.

"That's still no excuse."

"You told me happy birthday on the date."

"Are you going to open the box or what?"

"Hmm..." Erika waited for a while with a cheeky smile, getting a groan from her boyfriend before she decided to open the present. She saw a black headband with a Vileplume flower on it which surprised her. "Thank you. It's so cute."

As she put it on, she saw Tony looking at her with a proud smile before he put up two thumbs up. "Now that's perfect."

"Seriously, thank you, Tony." Erika said before he hugged him which he returned. Tony had a pensive expression on his face before he spoke. "That's not the last gift I have for you."

"Huh?" The girl looked at him to see a troubled look on his face before he came to a conclusion. "When I beat your dad and get the final badge, I have something I want to tell you. Promise."

Erika smiled and nodded, making a mocking bow. "I will wait."

The two of them could not hold their laughter as they continued with their antics.

'Erika...Erika...wake up...'

A few after that day, Erika was tending to the garden while humming, her older sister Hanae and Pokemon helping her. Their parents came inside the gym, the father noticing the headband on his younger daughter before he smirked. "Looks like someone liked their gift from their boyfriend."

Erika blushed immediately, confirming the father's suspicions as her mother and sister gave her knowing smiles which caused her to move from view. 'This is so embarrassing.'

"Don't worry, sweetie. You should've seen your father when he was proposing to me." Her mother said, her father clearing throat to stop her. Hanae put her hand on her sister's shoulder. "When's the wedding?"

"Hanae!"

"C'mon. I just want you to be happy." Hanae smiled cheekily at Erika who groaned. "At least you're enjoying yourselves."

After their parents and Erika was done with the tulips, she wiped the sweat from her forehead before she looked at the outside of the house, noticing some men who arrived at the front of the gym in bikes. "Hm?"

She slowly walked in front of the gym, a skeptical expression on her face until she noticed the logo on the men's clothes. 'Those guys. They're a part off of Tony's gang.'

"Yeah. Tony usually sends Julia or Havoc to deal with us. I've never seen these guys before." Hanae raised a brow as she slowly peered out the doors. "Did Tony send any messages to you?"

"No..." Erika ran to her phone and checked. Parking their bikes, the guys then entered the gym, looking around the place with grins on their faces.

"Hey guys. Sorry but Tony isn't here right now..." Hanae said, Erika still working on the garden. "How may I help?"

"Tony sent you guys a present." The men wore sinister smiles as they took out their Pokeballs which Hanae noticed, her face changing to shock and horror before she turned to Erika. "Erika, run!"

"Happy Birthday."

Everything happened in a flash in front of Erika.

Before she could register, her sister called her Meganium who managed to protect but at the expense of being burnt and wounded horribly at its underside. Panicking and mostly confused, the girl didn't notice one of the men about to attack her, her Victreebel unleashing a stream of acid on the man's face, his blood-curdling screams horrifying the young girl.

'Why is this happening?' Erika thought, tears bubbling from her eyes before she balled up in a corner. Hanae was fighting off the group, defeating them with a Petal Blizzard as she tried to push them out of the gym. "Erika, you need to leave! Go!"

She heard another scream, seeing her sister holding her bloodied arm, a man with a Magmar standing over her. "It's too bad...girlie. I wanted to have my fun with you but Tony wants you dead."

'Tony?' Erika thought, her eyes widened in shock before she tried to push back her fear and move on shaky legs. "I-I-I need to-"

A wave of intense flames came towards them, creating an explosion that sent both sisters and all of the Pokemon into a wall, destroying the gym in the process. Sprawled out on the ground, Erika could barely register the pain coursing through her body, her ears ringing as she barely could move her head. She tried to get from the floor which ended in failure, looking around to see her sister unconscious. 'Hanae...'

She tried to move her body again which failed when she could only move her head, fear causing her legs to shake when she saw the scene in front of her.

The garden. The gym. It is completely destroyed.

All of her tulips, dandelion and other flowers, all of them were engulfed in the fire. Her eyes widened when she saw some of the Bug and Grass Pokemon on the ground, noticing no signs of life in their eyes which made her sick. She looked around, the once peaceful and serene garden now a furnace of flames.

It was all gone.

Erika did not how to feel, a barrage of emotions through her mind as tears came out of her eyes. She then remembered what one of the grunts said.

Tony.

He did this.

'It is all his faullllltttt...'

Her vision turned to black, her eyes slowly closing as she started to lose consciousness.

"Eri!"

Her eyes opened, the girl realizing that she is still in the gym, realizing that she is able to move. "Huh? How did I-"

She shook her head before she ran to her sister and save her but her hand went through Hanae's body which made her shock and confused. She tried a few more times but it ended in failure.

"Victreebel! Gloom!" She called for her Pokemon but she got no answer. "What is going on?"

Panicking, she looked around the place until she noticed that her body is on the floor, much to her confusion as she looked at her hands. "What's happening?"

"Eri!" She heard a voice, seeing a wave of water dousing the fire. The girl's eyes widened when she saw Tony rushing into the burning building,

"Oh God! Eri! Hanae!" He ran to her and Hanae, commanding his Dragonair to pick up every living Pokemon it could find while he released Luxray and made it carry Erika and Hanae. Seeing Tony, Erika was filled with rage about to attack him while he was looking around the place. "The garden...what happened here?"

'You did this.'

"And then there were those guys outside...what the hell is happening?" He looked around the place. Erika glared at the boy as he went outside with all the injured people and Pokemon as he heard the ambulance, making his Dragonair heal them as much as it could. "You're going to be ok, Eri? Don't worry."

'But this is your faul-'

Seeing the tears swelling in his eyes, Erika cannot bottle up the rage in her body before she felt a chilling gust around her. "What the?"

"Eri!"

Erika then felt her rage disappearing which confused her before she looked down on the floor and shut her eyes. "What's happening? This isn't what I remembered...this isn't..."

"Eri! You need to get out of here!"

Erika's eyes then opened, seeing everything around her starting to become distorted which surprised the woman. She then looked at herself to see that she is her current older self as the place started break apart.

"What's happening? Where am I?"

"Calm down and meditate. I'll come get you."

Erika heard the voice more clearly which made her eyes widened in realization. "Tony?"

"Yes! Just hold on and meditate! It's all an illusion!"

Looking around, she nodded before she clasped her hands and meditated. After a while, Erika was starting to feel a bit woozy until her consciousness began to fade, everything around her fading to black.

Erika's eyes opened wide before she looked around, noticing that she was near Celadon City.

"Good to see you awake."

She noticed Tony beside her with a Jynx hovering over his head, the Pokemon unleashing a gust of snowy mist to cover their location. The gym leader rubbed her head before she got up and picked up her bow. "W-what's happened?"

"The old man had his Metagross put you in some sort of dream spell. He wanted to manipulate you through those memories to go against me." Tony folded his arms, wanting to catch her when she lost her balance but he made his Luxray do so for him. "You need to take it easy. It's your head after all."

"Got it." Erika nodded.

Tony noticed Dragonite coming towards them, his Jynx froze the dragon's wings with Ice Beam which making it fall to the ground. Erika watched as the Ice Pokemon floated into the air and intensifying the snowy winds from its body, covering the two until he was able to freeze the dragon in place.

"Alright, that should hold you for a while. Now-"

He noticed Metagross about to attack but it was stopped by a Bulldoze from Gogoat before he commanded his Dugtrio to send it flying into the air with a stone spike. Tony then pointed at the fallen Pokemon, his Luxray shot a Thunder at it that sent it back. The battle continued as Tony held his own against Metagross, Erika surprised by his ability to coordinate his Pokemon's attacks when he stopped it with an Earthquake and Jynx trapping it in ice.

Erika was able to recover, getting up before she noticed a huge geyser of purple flames, Dragonite flying into the air before it dashed towards them, her Gogoat able to stop its attack. As it knocked the dragon back, Erika and Tony had their backs against each other as they faced against Dragonite and Metagross.

"You ok?" Tony asked.

"Worry about yourself, Tony. I haven't forgiven you." Erika said in a serious tone before she let out a sigh. "And yes...I'm ok."

Suddenly, Metagross rushed towards them with a Meteor Mash that Luxray stopped with Iron Tail before it was slowly being pushed back with Psychic, much to Kuroi's amusement. Before Metagross could attack again, Dugtrio trapped Metagross in the ground along with Jynx freezing it in place. "Erika!"

"Got it!" Erika said as she fired three arrows at Dragonite, the Pokemon shrugging off the arrows before they exploded into smoke which blinded it. Before it could regain its sight, Tangrowth wrapped its arms around the dragon before slamming it into Metagross, Victreebel binding them to the ground with Strength Sap.

"Damn it! You damn brats! Metagross! Dragonite! Rise!"

As the two powerful Pokemon tried to get up, Erika shot several arrows that exploded into a cloud of yellow smoke which stunned the two titans. "Now, Tony!"

"Jynx, Perish Song!"

As Tony made his command, a black aura surrounded his Jynx as its hair floated into the air. Clearing her throat, the Ice and Psychic-type sang a melody which sent a wave of dark energy that hurt the two titans, blacking lightning crackling around them as they fell to the floor. The energy wave spread further, hurting Luxray, Gogoat and Tangrowth in the process.

Finishing its song, Tony noticed the two monsters trying to get up before he turned to Tangrowth and Victreebel. "Hold them down as much as you can."

The Pokemon nodded as they did so. Seeing this, Kuroi started to cackle loudly before he put his hand on his head. "That...was your move? Stupid child. You do realize that this move has one glaring weakness?"

He took out his Pokeball and was about to return his Pokemon until suddenly, two arrows pierced the capsules. Kuroi was surprised by this before he turned to see Erika with her bow raised. "Sorry but we had to take precautions to make sure that this plan works."

"Now it's a race against time, you old bastard." Tony smirked as he and Erika faced Kuroi as his Pokemon were able to rip out of their bindings and rise to the air.

"Wretched children..." The old man glared at the two before he turned to his Pokemon. "Dragonite."

Dragonite broke out of the vines and went into the air before it unleashed a barrage of lightning bolts towards Tony and Erika, Luxray able to stop some of them. The dragon then wrapped itself in energy and rushed at them with Dragon Rush but it was stopped by a smack from Tangrowth. Meanwhile, Metagross shot several lasers that cut off the vine monster's arms, about to hit it with a Meteor Mash but it was stopped by a Psychic from Jynx and an Iron Tail from Luxray.

"You both have been huge thorns to my side for years. You and your father have destroyed everything I worked for. Desecrated and tarnished our family name." Kuroi stated with a sneer on his face as he watched his opponents fending off against his Pokemon, his eyes showing his rage when he looked at Erika. "...just because of that woman..."

As he said this, his Dragonite went for a Dragon Rush that Jynx could barely block the move with Psychic, the orange dragon not giving the ice telepath the chance to retaliate before it landed a strike that sent it across the route.

"Damn it! Are you hearing yourself? Are you fucking senile? We ain't royalty, you dumbass! We were hurting people! The drugs you made were fucking up our clients! Why do you think father studied to do medicine, huh?" Tony rebutted before he made his Luxray hit Metagross with a blast of lightning.

Shrugging off the attack, Metagross fired a Flash Cannon that was stopped by Jynx before Luxray slammed the metallic titan onto the ground with Iron Tail which barely did anything before it retaliated with a Meteor Mash that sent it Luxray back into a stony wall. Getting up, the lynx unleashed several bolts of electricity that clashed with Metagross' Flash Cannon, Dugtrio suddenly knocking it to the side with an Earthquake which left it open to a Shadow Ball from Jynx.

"You are nothing but a disrespectful child! Our business has been thriving for generations!" Kuroi shouted in pure rage as his Dragonite rained bolts of lightning at them, Jynx and Gogoat able to protect Erika and Tony until Metagross came from behind and struck Jynx with a Meteor Mash, knocking out the Pokemon.

"Jynx!" Tony returned the Pokemon, Erika was about to shoot an arrow before the two were sent back by a telekinetic wave. As the two were being pushed back, the gym leader noticed a bolt of lightning coming towards her but it was stopped by Luxray, Metagross charged a Flash Cannon in front of Tony but it was knocked aside by Gogoat.

"Thanks!"

"No problem. You take on Metagross! It's giving me some issues."

"Got it! Dragonite's going for an Extreme Speed!"

Seeing Dragonite vanish in front of them, Erika did not waste time as she made her Victreebel use Strength Sap to weaken and trap the dragon. Meanwhile, Tony was able to lead Metagross away from Kuroi and Dragonite, the metallic titan's arms glowed intensely before it rotated towards him which he managed to dodge thanks to his Dugtrio. Before the man could make his counterattack, he noticed a bolt of lightning coming towards him, his Luxray able to absorb it to protect him. "Damn it! This old guy won't quit it! He's way too old to be doing this right now!"

"If you have not been such a disappointment, I would not have gone this far." Kuroi said, his Dragonite unleashed a blast of wind which pushed back the two trainers. Tony noticed Dragonite darting to them with a Dragon Rush, he made his Dugtrio push Erika out of the way by sending her into the air with a rock pillar as the woman shot an arrow at the dragon but it was destroyed by a blast. 'Oh no.'

"You." She looked at the old man who commanded his Metagross to attack her, Tony not giving him the chance to do so by summoning a stone wall to protect Erika. She then noticed Dragonite in front of her who her Gogoat was able to clash with it, Kuroi glaring at her when she noticed another Pokeball in his hand which she was able to knock out of his hand with an arrow. "Daughter of the Fujiwara family. Your family were the biggest issue and the biggest mistake I let that damn son of mine went through."

"Huh?" Erika raised a brow before she saw the glare on the elderly man's face. "What do you mean?"

Kuroi commanded his Pokemon to attack them but they were stunned by a barrage of arrows from Erika before being bound to the ground by vines that electrocuted them, the two titans trying to get out which ended in failure when stone pillars came out of the ground and trapped them. Tony noticed the situation before he dangled a capsule in his hand, his expression turning to a stern one. "What did you do, old man?"

"I did everything I could for the family!" As he said that, his Metagross spun around which ripped the vines apart before it rushed towards the two, receiving a Thunder that sent it to the ground. Erika noticed Dragonite coming out of its bindings before it vanished, the woman closing her eyes and listened before she made her Victreebel created a veil of poisonous vines that managed to stop the dragon which made Kuroi angry as he found himself unable to hold back his feelings.

"But you...but you..." Kuroi shook with anger, his Metagross launched a barrage of Flash Cannon that Erika and Tony dodged along with their Pokemon until Victreebel unleashed a Leaf Storm that stopped the lasers before Luxray shot a Thunder that fired the leaves towards their opponents.

"No matter what I tried, this boy and my son were adamant on you and your disgusting family." After his Pokemon were being battered by the leaves, Metagross rushed towards his two enemies with a spinning Meteor Mash, Dugtrio slowing it down with multiple stone walls before Luxray grabbed it by the arm and flung it into Dragonite. Hearing this, Erika was completely confused before she looked at the old man. 'What he...tried?'

Tony made a gesture to Erika but they were suddenly attacked by Metagross who smacked Tony through the ground and then grabbed Erika by her neck and lifted her from the floor. The elder man smiled as his Pokemon choked Erika, her Pokemon rushing to help her but they were taken out by a Flash Cannon.

"Erika!" Tony said, trying to get up from the floor, feeling pain coursing through his body. "Shit!"

Kuroi smiled as his Metagross floated in front of him with the gym leader in its grasp. "Look at where you are. You should have sided with me and take down that boy but it is too late. My deal has expired. Well, the silver lining is...after multiple attempts, I can finally get you out of the picture and things in order."

'Multiple?' Erika and Tony shared the same thought, Tony decided to voice his concern. "You mean 'tried' as in multiple? The hell do you mean?"

Kuroi tried to keep silent but after seeing his opponents on the ground and almost unconscious, he smirked as he started talking. "You are both going to die anyway."

He then turned to Erika. "Gym leader...your hatred for Tony and his men for the attack on the gym was a part of my plan."

This surprised the woman before she glared at Kuroi. "You made Tony attack us?"

"Attack you? Hahaha!" Kuroi let out a laugh before he shook his head. "Well, that was what was reported onto the news. I had to pull a few strings to make everything legitimate."

Tony's expression turned serious as he tried to get up, Dragonite stomping on his head as he glared at his grandfather. "So I was right, I knew something was fishy. The points did not connect properly."

"I'm surprised my little attack on you did not deter you either." Kuroi said which surprised Erika. "Attack?"

"You weren't the only that was attacked on that day. That boy down there was also attacked. My plan was to kill you that day and stall Tony during that time but I underestimated him." Kuroi said, Tony smirked mockingly. "What did you expect from me. Plus, you have a problem with underestimating people. This little kidnapping might be your most successful plan yet."

"Shut your mouth! Because of your strength, I had to change plans!" He said, Dragonite slamming Tony's head to the ground, his Pokemon trying to help but Dragonite pushed them back with a Hurricane. Erika was completely baffled by the information that she received. "What...how..."

Kuroi smiled at this. "Isn't it sad? That bastard never attacked you! He saved you in fact! I was honestly surprised by the angered look on his face as he tortured my men. And even despite his love, you hated him! You didn't give him the time of day! What a horrible woman!"

Erika was shocked by this. All of that time, the time that she avoided Tony, the time that she was angry at him. Her fear and anger towards Tony for the incident. All of those years of her cold attitude towards him for the incident.

Only for it to all be a lie.

Kuroi was right. She was horrible, she was terrible to Tony despite him trying to explain to her and not giving up on her. She was awful. But knowing the information she does now, she knows what to do. The one who should be blamed is.

"Why..." Erika barely worded before she started shaking. "Why would you hurt us? My sister...her Meganium...many of her Pokemon and friends was hurt...some of them died because of you."

"It's simple. Your existence was a nuisance to my plans for the betterment of the Hanabusa family." Kuroi stated in a calm demeanor as his Metagross tightened its grip on her neck. "You survived last but this time, I will right my mistakes. Starting with your death!"

"Get the fuck off of her!" Tony yelled as the ground underneath him broke apart, making Dragonite lose its balance before a bolt of lightning collided into it and sent it to a wall before it dashed towards Metagross.

"Stop that lightning!" Metagross did as told but it was too slow when the electricity hit its hand, revealing Luxray who was biting down on the metallic spider's limb. Quickly recovering, Dragonite was about to attack with Extreme Speed but it collided into a stone wall, the man looking down to see Tony and his Dugtrio.

"You damn brat!"

"Thunder! Don't hold back!"

Luxray's body suddenly burst with electricity, causing Metagross' arm to crack as lightning escaped from the openings of the cracks before Metagross used its other arms but it was stopped, much to Kuroi's surprise. "What?"

Erika was confused as well before she felt a cold wind, looking up to see Jynx who was trying to hold Metagross in place. "Jynx!"

"Hold him down, Jynx! Luxray! You know what to do!"

Luxray nodded, its eyes glowing as it unleashed all its power onto Metagross, causing the cracks on Metagross' arm to surge with electricity until it exploded, the Pokemon roared in pain which made Erika get released from its grasp as her Gogoat caught her.

Seeing the woman in one peace and starting to be able to breathe normally, Tony let out a sigh of relief before he noticed a pained Metagross who was clutching the place where its arm used to be. "Sorry, Metagross but it is what it is."

Kuroi was shellshocked when he saw his Pokemon on the floor, pieces of what was its arms being gathered but it could not be recovered. 'How is he so strong? Metagross should've killed them by now. How...'

His eyes zeroed in on Tony who gave his Luxray a thumbs up before he asked Erika if she was ok, his face changing to one of rage as he glared at his grandson. 'That...damn...'

"Disgrace! You're no longer apart of the family. All of you are a disgrace! I've decided to kill you both." Kuroi said as he rushed towards the two atop his Dragonite.

"Disgrace? You're the fucking disgrace! You would not allow us to grow but who the hell cares? Try me, you fucking bastard!" Tony said as he jumped onto Luxray's back and clashed with the dragon. As their battle continued, Erika noticed Metagross coming towards Tony with a Meteor Mash, she quickly intercepted it with Gogoat. As the battle continued between them, Dragonite used Dragon Rush which clashed with Luxray's Iron Tail, the two managing to be at equal strength, much to Tony's glee. 'The Strength Sap is working.'

He then noticed Gogoat beginning to overpower Metagross which made him smile as he called Erika. "Erika, pass! Let's group them up!"

"Alright! When you're ready!"

Dragonite was about to attack Tony but it was hit by a stone pillar, Gogoat pushing back Metagross right into Dragonite before Tony pointed Luxray at them, the Electric-type fired a Thunder that electrocuted the two titans.

"Stop defying me! Psychic, Metagross!" Kuroi made his command, Metagross being unable to use the attack which shocked him. "Why isn't he able to use it?"

Tony was confused before Erika started to explain. "The immense pain that it is feeling from losing its arm caused its head to be in disarray. It's unable to concentrate to use the move."

"In other words, this is our chance." Tony said before he noticed Dragonite soaring into the air and unleashing a Hurricane at them which sent them flying into the air. Tony was about to make a move but he was struck to the ground by Metagross that sent him spiraling down to the ground, much to Erika's dismay. "Tony!"

Before he could hit the ground, his Dugtrio cushioned his fall by crushing the dirt and turning it into sand but despite that, the collision still knocked the wind out of him.

"Damn…I should be glad that I didn't turn into splat." Tony said, blood dripping out of his mouth. He could not get the chance to think when Metagross fired a Flash Cannon that was blocked by a slab of stone that Dugtrio summoned.

'How long is it gonna take for you two to go down?' Tony thought as he tried getting up but he felt dizzy after the strike he received, his Luxray quickly taking him out of the way of the Meteor Mash. 'Crap! This isn't good. Because of that Berseke Gene, it's taking them longer than usual to fall.'

"How did you even get your hands on the Berserk Gene? I thought Father discontinued the production and destroyed the remainder of them!" Tony asked as he tried to slow down Metagross with a Thunder and an Earthquake.

"You should be worried about your life instead of my plans." Kuroi stated as Dragonite appeared in front of Tony before hitting him with Thunderbolt, electrocuting him until Gogoat tackled it away with Horn Leech. Pushing back the dragon, Erika glared at him as he shot a smoke arrow at Dragonite without looking at the Pokemon, blinding it. "What did I tell you about protecting yourself?"

"That doesn't cou-"

"It does." Erika gave him a scary glare which made him retreat in fear before they both stopped Metagross in its tracks with their Pokemon. "We'll speak about this later."

"Uhh...ok." Tony said before they turned to their opponents, seeing Kuroi standing by his two Pokemon, taking a few pills out of his pocket which did not went unnoticed by Erika and Tony. Kuroi's Pokemon guarded him when Erika fired a few arrows at him, he then threw the pills into their mouth which made them surge with energy as they fell to the ground.

"Shit!" Tony said, Erika's Victreebel immediately attacked them with Leaf Storm but it was completely destroyed by a wave of purple flames. The two felt the immense pressure from the two Pokemon that rose from the ground, their eyes fixed on the duo.

"To think he had more of those under his sleeve...this does not bode well..." Erika thought as she watched the two Pokemon preparing to attack them. "...and I barely have any more herbs left..."

"This is actually perfect." Tony said, the woman surprised by his statement before she saw the smile on his face. She was about to see if before they noticed Metagross charging a powerful laser, the orb getting bigger as it aimed at the two.

Seeing the move, Erika was about to fire an arrow before she was frozen in place, an intense pain going through her brain as she tried to move her body. 'What on earth?'

Suddenly the headache stopped, the woman massaging her temples before she saw Jynx over her.

"Kill them." Kuroi made a command as his Dragonite flew into the air.

As Metagross fired a power Flash Cannon, Tony pushed Erika out of the way before he made his Luxray use a combination of Snarl and Thunder in the form of a shield and his Dugtrio summoned a wave of stone walls. As the blast came towards them, it easily the stone walls before it collided with the electricity barrier, starting to push back Luxray as Jynx used Psychic to help the lynx during the clash.

"Tony! You sure you will be ok?" Erika asked to which Tony nodded.

"Yeah! Worry about Dragonite! It's coming quick!" She looked up, seeing the dragon descending towards them with a powerful Dragon Rush which she made Tangrowth block the attack with its vines but it failed when the dragon burned them and hit the two trainers. Before they could recover, the Flash Cannon overpowered Luxray's shield which made them get hit by the blast barely missing Celadon as the Draconites and Titan Troop members noticed the attack including Havoc who was drinking water as he sat on top of an unconscious Dread and several more grunts. "Damn. This isn't good."

The entire of Route 16 is in ruins, trails of smoke and burnt earth showing in the path of the blast. Erika got up from the ground, her clothes tattered and burnt before she looked around the desolate land then looking at the city.

"Oh, thank goodness." She let out a sigh of relief at the city being in one piece. "The blast missed the city at least but..."

She then turned to see her Pokemon on the ground, they are all covered in injuries and wounds as the woman only saw that Victreebel is the only conscious Pokemon of the group. "Victreebel, you're ok?"

The Pokemon nodded before they both heard Tony coughing, Erika walking to him to see him clutching his stomach. "Damn..."

"Tony, how is your stomach?" Erika asked as she took out some ointments, Tony stretching his hand to her as he stood up. "I'm...ok...I take back...what I said..."

The two felt an immense pressure, turning to see Kuroi who was looking at them with a smile, his eyes looking at Tony. "All that bravado and strategy. Taken out by a single attack. That is power. That is what our family should be to everyone around us."

"I'm done talking with this stubborn man!" Tony gritted his teeth, he and Erika returning their fallen Pokemon until they had only Luxray and Victreebel being the only Pokemon that they have that was not unconscious. Seeing a blast coming to them, Luxray quickly mustered all its strength before it grabbed Tony and Erika and pulled them out of the way.

"Thanks, Luxray." The Pokemon's trainer said before he noticed Dragonite ascending to the air with its body crackling with electricity. "Luxray! Get ready to do a barrier!"

Luxray followed his commands, blocking the bolt of lightning before it redirected it at Metagross who was trying to attack them, knocking the metal spider back. Blocking their attacks and strikes, Tony noticed his Luxray being pushed back and hurt, the Pokemon almost at the point of collapsing. "We're not going to be able to hold them off any longer."

"Can you hold them off for a little longer, Tony? I have a plan." Tony heard Erika say, turning to the raven-haired woman who was putting on a white bracelet on her hand with a green crystal in the center which he noticed. "You think you can do it?"

"How much time are we talking here?" Tony said, his eyes focused on his opponents before he noticed Metagross charging another move, his Luxray stopping it with Thunder. "And talk quick!"

"A few minutes...I need to prepare. It takes a lot of concentration and energy." She said as she stood up and took a breath, her feet apart and putting on a steady posture. Tony nodded as she threw him a few herbs which he took before he jumped on Luxray, Erika starting to lift her hands in the air. "Don't you dare get hurt. I have...things I want to discuss with you."

"Who do you think you're talking to? That's a given even without your warning." Tony said before he and Luxray leaped into battle. The two battled against the two powerful Pokemon, Luxray dodging Metagross' blasts before they went into the air to allow some of them to hit Dragonite.

Meanwhile, Erika closed her eyes and meditated, the woman trying to block out all sound and from her mind which did not go unnoticed by Kuroi. "Dragonite! Don't allow her to finish that dance!"

Pushing back Tony and Luxray, Dragonite vanished quickly which worried Tony before he turned to Erika who was still meditating. 'Just a bit more.'

"Erika!"

Erika eyes widened in shock, the woman seeing Dragonite in front of her, its fist just meters away from her face. Before she could do anything, Tony pushed her out of the way, barely avoiding the attack from Dragonite that grazed Tony leg, causing it to bend unnaturally. "Fuck!"

"Tony!" Erika shouted in a worried tone.

"Just keep doing what you're doing! It's just a sprain!" Tony said before his Luxray hit Dragonite with a Snarl and put him on its back before it leaped away, the two dodging a barrage of projectiles and attacks from Dragonite and Metagross.

"Crush them! Now!" Kuroi shouted, his Pokemon going towards Erika but they were stopped by a Snarl from Luxray that stunned them both before they were hit by a bolt of lightning that managed to paralyze them. Within an instant, Dragonite recovered quickly and dashed towards Tony, grabbing him by the throat before it slammed him onto the ground, causing him to vomit blood. "...shit..."

Kuroi smiled as his Pokemon started to crush Tony's neck, his Luxray trying to intervene but it was knocked to the side by Metagross. As the battle continued, Erika started to glow a green aura before she put her hands at her side, her eyes glowing intensely as she took a deep breath, her Victreebel beside glowing as well. She started to poses as the light around her became more intense, Kuroi noticing the glow before he made his command. "Kill her!"

Luxray tried to hold back but it was for naught as it was pushed and knocked to the side by Dragonite as they both rush towards Erika who was not faltered by the Pokemon about to attack her as she continued her dance.

"Kill her! We need to proceed with the mission!" Kuroi said, a smile slowly as his Pokemon were about to attack Erika, unaware of the smile on Tony's face. "You know, old man!"

The elderly man turned his attention to Tony who was laughing before he turned to him. "For an old man who is so wrapped up in our family traditions and customs, you seem to forget one simple rule of our family and the gang."

"What are you speaking of, child?"

"Why don't you show him..." The ground started shaking intensely, cracks forming around the route before a huge wall of bright red flames that stopped Dragonite and Metagross, Tony smiling as the rocks started to levitate. "...Dragonite..."

Dragonite ascended out of the ground, punching Kuroi's Dragonite in the stomach before it grabbed it and flung it into Metagross, unleashing an intense wave of flames that burnt the two Pokemon. Kuroi could not get the chance to counterattack as Dragonite bombarded his Pokemon with Dragon Pulse before trapping them in a ring of flames, Tony commanded his Luxray to attack as its body sparked with electricity.

"Thunder!" Luxray unleashed a lightning blast to the skies, lightning emitting from the clouds before it descended to the ground and crashed into the two Pokemon, electrocuting them. Before Kuroi could voice a move, Dragonite made sure that the two Pokemon did not escape by intensifying the ring of flames surrounding them.

"I am ready!" Erika said, Tony nodded as his Pokemon retreated, Kuroi making his command but it went in failure when Luxray used Snarl to prevent his commands from reaching his Pokemon, shocking the man when he glared at a smirking Tony. "Go wild, Erika!"

Erika nodded and made her final pose, putting her hands in the air as the energy burst from her body and transferred to Victreebel who started to let out a light green aura. The woman glowed white before she made her move.

"Bloom Doom!"

Victreebel unleashed a powerful wave of energy that created a field of flowers that covered the entirety of Route 16. Kuroi saw the serene scene, Tony sitting on the ground and feeling slightly refreshed by the energy emanating from the field. "That feels nice. I really needed this."

"What is this? It's just flowers." Kuroi scoffed before he made his command, unaware of what his comment did to Erika who gritted her teeth. "Don't underestimate nature, Mr. Hanabusa. It can also be lovely but it can also be...destructive."

As she said that, the flowers glowed intensely underneath Metagross and Dragonite, creating an immense explosion that morphed into a geyser of energy that pierced the sky, parting the clouds. Kuroi could only watch as he was pushed back from the shockwave, the residents and the members of the gang war watching the display of power in shock and awe. After the blast subsided, everyone saw a huge crater where the explosion used to be, Metagross and Dragonite within it.

"Is it over?" Erika said as she fell to the ground, her breath ragged and uneven. "...that move took a lot of energy for me to do..."

Tony watched as the smoke cleared, his Dragonite and Luxray waiting beside him until their eyes widened in shock. Rising from the crater were Dragonite and Metagross, the two titans showing no signs of fatigue and pain.

Seeing his Pokemon covered in light bruises, Kuroi could not hold back his as he laughed heartily.

"Haha! You fools! All of your attacks! All of that effort! Nothing! Let me show you real strength! Dragonite, Metagross! Kill them! Don't hold back!"

His Pokemon rushed towards them, Tony preparing himself when he noticed Erika and her Victreebel having no energy as his Pokemon were about to intervene with his opponents. "I guess we're doing this!"

"It's good to start with you first." Kuroi smirked.

"Oh no." Erika said, trying to move but failed as she fell to the ground. 'No...Tony...'

Suddenly, the two titans stopped in their tracks, shocking everyone as they shook uncontrollably, much to Erika's confusion. "W-what's happening?"

Kuroi had the same thought before he noticed the Pokemon's limbs falling limp as they started to lose the energy to fight. The titans fell to the ground, purple electricity bursting from their bodies as their screams filled the air, Tony realizing the situation before he started smirking. "About time it worked..."

Erika was confused before she realized what he meant, seeing the two Pokemon covered in a dark aura as the lightning intensified. "The Perish Song..."

"What the? What's happening?" Kuroi asked as he backed away, about to run which Tony noticed as he made his Dragonite catch him. "Sorry, old man. You're not going anywhere. It all ends here."

He tried to spout commands but it was too late when both of his Pokemon fainted to the ground, an intense burst of energy coming before they exploded, the two falling to the ground covered in blood and wounds. Tony looked at the two Pokemon in pity before he shook his head. "As expected..."

"Huh?" Erika turned to Tony who tried to move to a comfortable position, grunting in pain at his dislocated leg before he spoke. "The side effect of the Berserk Gene. It provides an increase in strength like I said but all that power comes at a price. It harshly destroys the body of the Pokemon that is using it...and he used two on them...I wouldn't be surprised if his Pokemon won't be able to fight again."

"Oh my..." Erika put her hands on her mouth. Even though she had to battle them, she still was fond of those Pokemon since they were a prime part of her childhood. She used to play with them with Tony for years, when times were simpler. Before the incident.

Looking at their state now, their body changing back to a shriveled state, Metagross' body having cracks all over while Dragonite skin changed to a grey color along with its pudgy limbs now being skinny and malnourished. The woman could not watch them, looking away but there is nothing that she could do now. This is their fate. Kuroi, on the other hand, was trying to move which came in failure before he glared at the duo.

"You think I would lose this easily?! My team that I have created will not be defeated! We will prevail! We will finish our plan!" The old man was about to continue until he heard sirens in the distance, Tony and Erika looking at the direction before they saw several police cars coming to the scene.

"Gym Leader Erika. Thank you for your help." A police officer thanked the two before another approached Tony. "Thank you as well, Mr. Hanabusa. Thanks to the participation of your gang, we have been able to clean the city of the Titan Troop gang members before they could cause too much damage."

Hearing the news, the old man was completely shellshocked as he looked to the ground.

Kuroi's expression turned to anger when he realized the situation he was in. He has lost. All of the members of his group were taken by the police. Tony had more than enough people still able to move from the turf war. The police came and took him and brought him to the car as everything has now been processed in his brain.

It was all a failure.

"You..." He growled in anger before his eyes fixed on Tony. "You!"

Everyone turned to the old man who glared daggers at his grandson. "You disgusting, stubborn piece of shit! You, your father and that bitch! I should have killed you when I had the chance. If I just went for your head that night..."

"Old man...the war is over. You lost. Give it up." Tony stated as he looked down at the old man in pity. Erika noticed Tony's expression before Kuroi continued, causing him to groan.

"Can you send him into the car? He's causing me a headache." Tony said, the police obliged with his request as they put the shouting man in the car. The two watched as they drove off with the old man, the ambulance taking his Pokemon as everything became quiet. The two enjoyed the quiet as the ambulance picked up all the injured Pokemon in the area as the two Pokemon trainers watched.

"Alls well than ends well." Tony fell to the ground sprawled out with a confused look, enjoying the breeze before they heard voices in the distance, the two turning to see Erika's gym trainers and Tony's gang members. They all were happy to see their leaders in one piece as some of the gym trainers hugged their Gym Leader. "I'm so glad that you're ok, Lady Erika."

"Thank you for your kindness." Erika giggled before she noticed Tony's Dragonite lifting him by the arm before it along with Havoc helped carrying him to the ambulance. Erika looked at him with a conflicted expression, after everything she has been told. She cannot hold back her curiosity for the event since after what Kuroi had explained. Seeing Tony leaving, the woman clenched her fists before she opened her mouth.

"Tony..."

Tony and his gang stopped, the black-haired man turning to her. Erika took a deep breath before she spoke.

"We need to talk...after this...ok?" Erika could barely word out, surprisingly everyone including Tony who looked at her for a while before he turned around. "Don't push yourself, ok?"

"I just need to confirm something."

The two locked eyes for a while before Tony nodded and walked away. "Once I get this leg fixed, I'll be open."

"Got it." Erika nodded, their teams confused and some excited at the two people who would never talk with each other starting to talk. Erika, however, was unaware of their thoughts as she had one goal in her mind as she took one last glance at Tony's retreating figure in the ambulance.

'I need to know the truth. About everything, Tony.'
