Chapter 22: The End To The First Battle
Stan
There was a man standing underneath a big tree embellished with over hundreds of white leaves glistening in the sunlight. Stan was staring confusedly at his well-built back. Both of their short, black hair were swaying in the warm wind, and so were the tree leaves in diverse directions. The man's attire was all-black and formal, similar to a businessman. Despite being back in the fantasy haven, Stan couldn't take his eyes away from the male in front of him. He felt a sense of familiarity yet great unease about him all at the same time.
The taller noirette crossed his arms. "Didn't expect you to try to interfere so soon." His voice was gravelly calm.
Stan tensed and balled his hands into fists. "A-are you Chris?" He asked, just to make sure.
The man's shoulders moved as he chuckled, then he turned around. His eyes—although the pupils were thin—and the mole under his left eye confirmed his identity. Not only that, but his clothes weren't completely black, his tie was red. "You seriously couldn't tell from my Inner Aura?"
Inner Aura Detection was an ability Stan recently learned while training. Inner Aura was an energy anyone with a Magical Core—a magical source that's located anywhere inside the body—could perceive from within other Inner Guardians and their hosts, or just from humans with magic powers. Chris' Inner Aura was red. Stan narrowed his eyes nervously. "G-give me my body back."
Chris seemed mildly amused by his demand. "The Being of Darkness is nearly dead. Do you think you can finish it off?" Hesitation struck Stan. He was certain to give his all when he was with the fake Kyle, but now...it's like his courage left him the moment he got here and saw Chris, who he wasn't sure if it was actually him or not. His presence alone was just that domineering. Chris heaved a sigh, letdown but not surprised. "What's the point if you're just going to waste mines and Eric's efforts?"
"E-Eric?" Stan repeated. He hadn't seen the fat boy for days after the news broadcasted the murder that took place at the Cartman's residence, thinking he was in the murderer's hands. But he'd all of sudden returned? Stan was glad that he's alright, at least.
"Yes. He came to lend a hand since he is an ally...or perhaps I should say was."
"What do you mean?" Stan asked.
Chris regarded him sternly. "Do you trust me?"
Stan didn't even take a moment to think about his answer. He shook his head with a frown and said, "You...you've been hiding something from me." He gazed angrily into Chris' dumbfounded eyes. "And you're a liar."
The wind susurrated over the silence. Stan began to feel a little bad for being so straightforward. The fake Kyle told him that he needn't be afraid of his Inner Guardian since he couldn't hurt him, but he didn't want to hurt Chris' feelings when he'd only been trying to help him.
To Stan's confusion, Chris smiled. "Your intuition never ceases to amaze me. Though, I guess it's to be expected since your mother is an ancestor of the Queen of Darkness." That person again. Chris' lips formed into a line. "Well, you have every right to be angry at me because I have indeed been hiding some things from you. But as I've told you before when we first met, I can't tell you much until you're old enough."
Stan did remember him telling him that, and he still couldn't refute since Chris was right. Perhaps Chris not divulging that his mother was related to the Queen of Darkness was one of those secrets. "Okay..." Stan merely replied.
"Now, I'm going to ask you one more time. Are you ready to deal the final blow to the Being of Darkness?"
Immediately, Stan thought about his mother and Kenny—how they've been fighting the Being of Darkness without him. He closed his eyes. The memory of them getting promptly bested played out in his mind's eye, making him relive the hopeless feeling all over again. But nevertheless, the painful evocation steadily reignited his determination. After everything his mother, Kenny and his Inner Guardian, Chris, and Eric had done, the least Stan could do was put an end to this battle once and for all.
"I know you were eager to help Kenny, but you weren't mentally prepared to fight. No amount of training can ever fully prepare you for an actual fight, no matter how long you've trained for nor how determined you are in your abilities."
Stan shook his head, disregarding his mother's advice. This time, he was truly ready to fight. He opened his eyes, but before he could reply, the breeze stopped. The white leaves fluttered down either onto the surface of the ocean, accompanying many more leaves, or onto the grass.
Chris' face went blank. "He's here..." Even his tone contained no emotion.
Stan looked around. "But nobody's here," he said looking back at Chris.
"I'm talking about on earth." Chris uncrossed his arms. "I can't return your body to you in full just yet, or else you won't be able to kill the Being of Darkness and him." His tone ended with disdain. Shadows began to darken the pretty landscape, unbeknownst to Stan. "We're currently in a 'Power Link', an ability that I do not have time to explain to you in depth, but in order for you to remain conscious, this ability must stay active." So the ability the fake Kyle informed Stan of was called 'Power Link'. Stan opened his mouth to tell Chris that he already knew about the ability, but closed it when the man spoke again. "Fair warning, if you happen to fail to kill either of them..." His mien hardened into a condemning scowl. "I will do it myself."
Darkness overtook Stan's vision in one fell swoop.
/
Much to Stan's surprise, the darkness that brought him back to reality didn't frighten him awake, but he kept his eyes closed. Something about the rain hammering down on him felt nice, though he missed the warmth. Shame it was only imaginary. He became aware of someone's presence right in front of him, and they're giving off a really evil air. But Stan didn't feel the slightest bit intimidated by them, which he thought was very odd and unlike him.
"Open Your Eyes, Stanley."
Stan slowly did as told, a deep, masculine voice talking above him registering in his ears. He didn't fully comprehend what the male was saying since he's still a bit drowsy, that is until a first and last name was uttered:
Kyle Broflovski.
Stan's eyes widened; his sapphire irises highlighted in a low light. He didn't hear anything else that was being said, but seconds later his senses went on high alert. He looked up just in time to see a red blade being brought down towards him. The wielder's sharp white teeth were far too recognizable for him to forget who they belonged to.
"NOOO!"
Air blasts from underneath Stan's body, yet he continues to sit there undisturbed, his damp hair and clothes swaying rapidly in the wind. There's a hard thud from somewhere nearby, but Stan pays whoever fell no mind as he starts to stand up on his feet.
"W-what the fuck?!" The Being of Darkness exclaims, trying to maintain its balance against the intense gale as best as it can in its weakened condition. Its aura of smoke gets blown away, and its katana crumbles like it was made out of ash. The wind lasts only briefly, having pushed the Dark Being back several feet since it planted its feet firmly to the ground, its arm bent across its face. The flow of the raindrops has decreased as they descend back into a straight trajectory towards the ground, overtaking the silence. The clouds are a somewhat lighter shade of grey.
Now standing, Stan's soft, bright eyes narrow at the Being of Darkness, its arm lowering from its face in a cautious manner. Stan isn't sure if this anger he's feeling is of his own or not. "No fucking way," the B-O-D mutters, its fangs curling into a frown of fear and disbelief. This boy's magical power...not only is it stronger all of a sudden, but it's akin to the Dark Master's. The Being of Darkness can't believe this. It thought Kyle Broflovski is supposed to be the only one equivalent to the Master's status in magical strength, so how come this kid is the exact opposite of his mother's ancestor in that regard? "T-this is impossible. How...-" "Can an unknown brat have this much power?!"
Stan smirks, pleased to see that he's striking fear into a monster that's meant to do it to humans.
"Now Kill It," Chris says. "Grant It A Merciless Death. Punish It For Its Wrongdoings." His tone of voice was gentle yet manipulative.
Stan extends an arm, his palm aiming directly at the Being of Darkness' wound. The warmth that kindles in his chest stays there while a portion of the heat swiftly moves to his hand, and a dark red energy orb manifests in front of his palm. Without any delay, he shoots the spell sans shouting an incantation.
Time does not slow down for the enemy—its death is unavoidable.
"S-SHIT!"
The magical orb goes right through its mark with ease, and through the house as well. Purple blood and bits of flesh splatter to the ground from the gaping hole in the Being of Darkness' stomach. It stands there with a lot of blood seeping in between its fangs, then it falls forward just as there's a distant explosion. Its body begins to break down into small black particles, an immense amount of its purple fluid gradually tainting the grass further.
As the calefaction of his magical energy fades away, Stan drops his arm and turns around, his smirk changing into a relieved smile when he sees a boy lying on the ground not far from him. That can only be one person, his super best friend. He approaches the redhead. It's been weeks since he last saw Kyle. He remembers when Kyle came over to his house at the time he was sick. He hates that he never got to see him at school when he got over his fever, he would've greatly liked his company while he was in the midst of doing his trial of getting over his nyctophobia.
"Luckily, He's Unconscious. Kill Him Before He Wakes Up."
Stan stops in his tracks, his eyes going big. He's only about three steps away from Kyle. "K-kill him?"
"Yes, Stanley," Chris says, restraining himself from getting angry. "He Is The Reason Many People Have Been Corrupted By The Being Of Darkness. It Did That Not Only Under Its Master's Orders, But With Intentions Of Bringing Kyle To Their Side. That Boy Possesses Dark Magic Just Like Their Leader. If We Don't Deal With Kyle Now, He Will Become A Great Threat To Us All Alongside The Dark Master. You Must Kill Him."
Stan gives Kyle a sad stare. So...he was someone Chris wanted to be killed as well. Stan can't fathom Kyle being any sort of a threat in the years to come nor going to the Dark Master. The only thing he has to lookout for are odd shifts in Kyle's behavior. He is not going to take Kyle's life, no matter what he did or will do in the future. He doesn't think Chris was lying to him, but he just can't kill Kyle. He refuses to. "No...I won't do it."
"...I Warned You."
Stan experiences sharp pains throughout his body. He cries out as he drops down to his knees hugging himself. Tears rise and stream down his cheeks, feeling as though he's constantly being pricked by needles from within. The sensation is more prominent in his head. He starts to wail.
"After Everything I just Told You, You Still Value Your Friendship Over The Lives Of Others." Stan couldn't hear the disgruntlement in Chris' tone over his crying. He just wants the pain to go away, to stop Chris from taking over. "It's Foolish Nonsense Like This That'll Get You And Your Loved Ones Killed One Day."
Stan loses consciousness, his body slumping to the ground on his side, his hands slack at his arms. The scowl on Chris' face would chill anyone's blood.
Kenny
Kenny slows to a stop once he sees Eric standing still in the street. Feeling a little bit skeptical, Kenny looks past him, quickly becoming worried when he catches sight of Mrs. Marsh on the ground a yard away. He runs to her, going past Eric, who smacks his teeth.
"Mrs. Marsh!" Kenny calls out, tears stinging his eyes at the lack of a reply or any movement.
"Don't Worry, She's Still Alive," Yuna says. Kenny almost cries anyway, relieved at the news. He slows to a walk once he's closer to the woman, then stops, observing her with a frown. The only injury he sees is the cut on her arm. It's still bleeding, albeit only a little. Her hair is also disheveled, and her sword is gone. Bending down, Kenny gently nudges her shoulder. It takes nearly ten seconds for Mrs. Marsh to come to, groaning as she weakly blinks her eyes open. It pains Kenny to see her like this, even more so for thinking that they would've defeated the Being of Darkness without any difficulties—without any injuries. He greatly underestimated its strength.
"K-Kenny..." The debilitated voice snaps the boy out of his thoughts. He sees Mrs. Marsh trying to sit up, and he helps her. Once she's sitting, she's left breathless.
"Can I heal her?" Kenny asks his Inner Guardian.
"No. You Haven't Done Any Training And It's Not Easy To Pull Off Compared To Casting A Barrier Or Projectiles."
Kenny is disappointed, but he guesses he should've expected this. There's only so much he can do without having gone through rigorous training. "Mrs. Marsh, do you have any energy to heal yourself?"
"I-I'm doing that right now, actually." Unlike the healing process Stan's Inner Guardian showcased, the misty, purple aura on the laceration in Mrs. Marsh's arm is quickly closing up without any of her blood returning into her body. She exhales when her aura vanishes, then stands up. Kenny helps her again. "Thank you." She looks around. "What hap-" The concern that emerges on her face makes Kenny incredibly worried. He quickly follows her gaze. Right away, he sees Stan and Kyle across the street, both boys lying on the ground. There are some tiny black stuff Kenny can't identify coming from out of the Being of Darkness' body.
"Y-Yuna, a-are they-"
"Only The Being Of Darkness Is Dead, Not Stan And Kyle. They're Just Unconscious." Kenny smiles, on the verge of crying again at the good news. His best friends are still alive, and the Being of Darkness has been defeated. No one died except the enemy. "That Burst Of Magical Energy Must've Knocked The Both Of Them Out. Also, Eric Is Gone."
Wiping the tears in his eyes, Kenny looks to where Eric was last standing. Yuna was right, he has abscond the area, possibility the whole town. But Kenny doesn't care where he's gone to this time, his traitorous actions further proved to Kenny that he and everyone else should be cautious of him, not Kyle. The sound of footsteps has him looking away, seeing Mrs. Marsh running over to the two unconscious children. Kenny hurries after her.
"They're okay, Mrs. Marsh. They're unconscious."
"I know. They need immediate treatment." They stop in the middle of Stan and Kyle. "I'll transport us to my house." After Mrs. Marsh said that, a transparent dark purple barrier surrounds all four of them from below, then they are teleported to the Marsh's abode.
The Being of Darkness' corpse continues to disintegrate out of existence, eventually showing many blades of grass stained with purple blood. Over time, they turn black as if they'd been burned, and the rest of the front yard follows suit.
Kyle
He is back in the white abyss. He looks around expecting to see the female spirit again, but he finds out that he's the only one here. With a slightly uneasy but mostly confused frown, Kyle decides to walk forward. Perhaps she'll appear after some time, or something will change.
During his aimless stroll, Kyle realizes there are a pair of white socks on his feet, however his footsteps have been silent all this time. He then thinks about what happened before he winded up here, and he stops, his frown only expressing his unease. The Being of Darkness was going to kill Stan, and on instinct, Kyle tried to stop that monster. But not with any magic. He doesn't know how to go about using any, and at that very moment, all that mattered to Kyle was preventing Stan's death. He knows, without a shadow of a doubt, Stan would've done something similar had Kyle been in danger. Looks like he should've also asked the spirit how to actually use his magic. Then, there came a wind so strong that it blew Kyle away, and he draws a blank from there. Whatever happened after that, Kyle just hopes Stan is okay.
There's a sudden breeze that sways naturally kinky red locks. Kyle looks up. There is no sky nor a single cloud. Looking down, he realizes that the light winds do not have any temperature. It feels so weird. The velocity of the wind intensifies to a point where Kyle has to squint his eyes, closing them tightly soon after when the wind steadily becomes stronger. He shields his face with an arm. "W-what's going on?!" But in that instant, the gust comes to a complete standstill, and everything is silent once again. However...something has changed. There finally being some heat indicates as such.
It may be warm now, but Kyle doesn't want to move. He's too scared to even make a sound.
"Oh my, have you been turned into a statue?"
Kyle's reaction is instantaneous. Never before has he screamed so loud, not even when Stan appeared right in front of him out of nowhere in his last dream.
"S-sorry, I didn't mean to scare you that badly."
Kyle's big eyes notice two things simultaneously: the boy who looks more than a few years older than him with curly red hair and red eyes, and the greenery everywhere. In the orange sky, there is a sun setting far in the distance behind some mountains.
"...Wha...W-who..." Kyle's brain has malfunctioned.
The older redhead holds back his laughter. He's wearing what seems like a soldiers uniform, but lacks the camouflage patterns on the coat and pants. Instead, they're a plain black, and on the coat are two rows of six golden buttons, two more gold buttons fasten the sleeve cuffs, a white belt is around his waist, and on his shoulders are shiny red epaulettes. His combat boots are black as well and have red laces, his pants legs are tucked into his boots. "To answer the question you're unable to ask, I'm the voice that helped you become aware of your magic. My name is Luke Marson."
Kyle's brain starts working again. He blinks his eyes back to normal size. This guy's voice did sound very familiar, even without the reverb. So he is a spirit like Kyle assumed. Could he also be... "Are you my Inner Guardian?" Kyle asks.
Luke nods. "Yes, I am now. Before, I wasn't, and what I did in order for me to become a human's Inner Guardian—yours, specifically—was very risky. But I'm glad it was a risk that ended well in our favor."
Kyle frowns. "I don't understand."
Luke mimics his expression with a hint of guilt. "The awakening of your magic alerted the Being of Darkness, but it was going to carry out its Master's plan regardless."
So it was basically an inevitable outcome. Kyle wishes he could've used his magic before anyone had gotten corrupted. Had he known how he would've been some help to Stan and the others. "How do I use my powers? You never told me."
"I'd figured the feeling would've come naturally to you like it did when you first awakened them. Since that wasn't the case, we'll have to train. How that will work is whilst you're sleeping since Inner Guardians aren't allowed on earth right now."
"How come?" Kyle asks.
"I dared not question my Superior's decision. But if I had to guess..." Luke furrows his eyebrows in deep thought. "...I believe the Being of Darkness was a trial for you humans. A beginners trial meant to test how well you all would've fared without your Inner Guardians' physical interference."
Luke's well-thought-out assumption nearly renders Kyle speechless. "...Oh..."
"Well, needless to say, you all passed since the Being of Darkness has been dealt with without any fatalities on our side. However, I've come to find out that one of our allies is...no longer an ally."
Kyle instantly knows who Luke was referring to. "It's Eric."
Luke nods again. "Yes, and his Inner Guardian is to blame." He heaves a sigh as if he's disappointed in Eric's Inner Guardian. "They're just like me, a Dark Inner Guardian. Have you been informed of the three types of Inner Guardians?"
Kyle shakes his head. "The Inner Guardian I met earlier said they were Mixed, and I'm just now knowing about Dark."
"The third one is Light. I must warn you in case any of your friends or other allies have Light Inner Guardians, but they do not trust Dark and Mixed Inner Guardians. The reason being...I cannot really say because it varies. At least, that's what I've been told. But I do not fault the Light's for not liking me and my fellow spirits...Most of the Dark's are rather distrustful at heart, though I'm not entirely sure about the Mixed. However, since the darkness has begun to move thanks to the Dark Master, all three of us have come to an agreement to work together until we've defeated them both."
Only the noise of rustling trees can be heard, but there is no wind blowing. It's like the tree branches are moving all on their own.
Kyle is actually at a loss for words now. Luke gives his stupefied expression a small smile. "I know this is too much for you to comprehend at the moment, and even I thought I should've waited until you were a little bit older to tell you all of that. But you're a smart child, Kyle. I believe your brain will remember as you continue to age."
Kyle isn't sure how to react after receiving such an atypical compliment, so he utters in a tentative tone, "T-thanks...I guess."
Luke chuckles a little. "Do you have any more questions?"
The first to come to Kyle's mind is Ike. "Yeah, is my baby brother okay?"
"Yes, he is safe. I was actually planning to bring him to where your body is resting at, which happens to be in Sharon Marsh's home."
Kyle is greatly relieved. He didn't like that Ike was still with their corrupted parents by himself, but he doesn't appear sad because he recalls the female Mixed Inner Guardian telling him about there being another method that can free the corrupted. "Okay, also the Inner Guardian I told you about before told me that killing the Being of Darkness doesn't free anyone that's been corrupted by it, but there's another way to save them. Do you know what it is?"
"Yes, only Light magic can Purify the infectious Dark magic. Even though Mixed Inner Guardians also possess Light magic, it's not as strong since they use Dark magic as well, so only those with just Light magic are capable of Purification."
Kyle kind of gets the gist of Luke's explanation despite the big words he uttered. "My next question is..." He frowns. "The Being of Darkness said that I was an a...appren...tice of the Master. What does that mean?"
Luke tenses up, his eyes going wide. He looks horrified—disturbed even, making Kyle very nervous. But Luke's expression alters into a solemn frown. "It's nothing for you to worry about," he says with a steely look in his eyes. "I along with your friends will make sure you don't go anywhere near the Dark Master." Kyle just nods his head. He can only trust Luke since he sounded so certain, plus he looks scary. Luke breathes a soft sigh, relaxing a little. "Did you know that your friends' Inner Guardians warned them about you?"
Kyle nods with a pained expression on his face. "Y-yeah..." Him and Eric are on the same boat. Kyle can't even begin to imagine Stan and Kenny being suspicious towards him. He hopes they didn't take their Inner Guardians' words to heart. He will never betray them like Eric did.
"It's because you have a connection with the Dark Master," Luke says, then his small smile returns. "But you can easily gain the Inner Guardians' trust by, well, just being yourself, and showing them that you harbor no evil intentions."
Kyle feels himself smiling back, his worries mitigated. All he has to do is never change and show that he's a dependable ally. It's easy just as Luke said. Now Kyle can ask Luke the question he's been wanting to get an answer to the most. "Okay. I have one more question."
"Ask away."
"I had a dream where me and someone else were going to go to a red and black castle when the moon no longer exists. Do you know where that place is?"
"..." Kyle studies Luke's face with a developing frown. Luke is unsmiling, but he doesn't look mean or scary. Just deadpan. "...I don't know exactly where that is, but I do know who lives in it. The Dark Master does." Kyle is beyond shocked. He thought it was just a random, creepy castle, but to think it belonged to the Dark Master... "The fact that you dreamt of his home proves that you have an affiliation with him. But like I said, you won't go anywhere near him, and the moon won't ever be destroyed. We will prevent that from happening no matter the cost, otherwise..." Luke shakes his head, disinclined to finish his statement. He forces the small smile back onto his lips. "Well, I've kept you here long enough." A bright light emerges at Kyle's feet. "And it seems your body agrees." Kyle looks down, seeing the light slowly going up his body. "We will begin training whenever you're ready."
Kyle is happy to have finally met his Inner Guardian officially. He's learned so much and he's going to continue to learn more things as time passes. "It was nice finally seeing you. I thought you were just a ghost at first."
Luke laughs a little. "I'm your Inner Guardian now, so you'll be hearing me quite often, as well as seeing me while we're training."
Kyle's vision goes completely white, then he's gone back to the real world.
/
A sluggish groan leaves through Kyle's mouth, feeling a dull ache in the back of his head. He opens his eyes with a few slow flutters of the eyelids, hearing footsteps that are quickly sounding more distant. Before noticing that it's dark, although it's not pitch-black dark, he realizes that he's lying down on a bed underneath a thick blanket. Fearing that he's at home, he sits up and looks around, sighing with relief when he sees that he's not at all in his bedroom. And that's when he remembers Luke telling him that he was in Mrs. Marsh's house. He realizes that he's thoroughly dry. Looking down, he sees that he's still in his pajamas. How is this possible? Pushing his curiosity aside, he decides to inspect the room he's in. Based on the posters of boy bands plastered on the eggplant-colored walls, the white wardrobe closet that's decorated with only three star-shaped stickers, and the desktop computer off to the left side next to the opened window that's showing the night sky clear of any clouds, this must be Shelly's bedroom. He's never been in here before until now. Shelly always treated her bedroom like some sacred place, never allowing him nor even her own little brother to step one foot inside.
Footsteps sound again, this time belonging to more than one person, and they're coming his way. They soon reveal themselves to be Mrs. Marsh and Kenny, the little blonde smiling and wearing a pair of Stan's pajamas. It's very shocking to see him without his parka on, he wore it all day and every day.
"How do you feel?" Mrs. Marsh asks as she and Kenny enter the room. She turns on the lamp next to the bed.
"M-my...head hurts a little..." Kyle rasps, making himself and Kenny cringe. He sounded as if he hadn't drank anything for days, his throat feels dry.
"Guess I didn't heal you enough, sorry about that," Mrs. Marsh apologizes with a slight frown. "I was low on magical energy earlier." She raises a hand up to Kyle's forehead as if she's about to place her palm against his skin, but instead she hovers her hand over his forehead just as a hazy purple aura covers her hand. A nice coolness courses throughout Kyle's head, he feels the ache going away.
"And I don't know how to heal yet," Kenny says, pouting.
"You'll have plenty of time to practice that and many other things your Inner Guardian has in store for you," Mrs. Marsh says, done healing Kyle. The aura whisks away, and she lowers her arm. "Same goes for you too, Kyle, and Stan."
Kyle nods, already aware that he'll be doing some training eventually. "W-where's...Stan?" He asks, then grimaces.
Both Mrs. Marsh and Kenny appear crestfallen. "He's resting," Mrs. Marsh answers. "But we don't know for how long." She closes her eyes and turns away. "I'll go get you some water." She walks out of the room.
There's an awkward silence in the air. Kyle feels that he shouldn't have asked that, but what happened to Stan that left him sleeping for an unknown amount of time? Despite his concern and bewilderment, the state of Kenny's hair surprises him once he notices the secondary color in his bangs. "D-dude...your hair..."
Kenny rubs the back of his neck, a faint blush coloring his cheeks. "Oh, uh, using magic or aging turns my hair white."
"Huh...that's cool...and weird." It becomes quiet again, making Kyle wonder where Shelly and Mr. Marsh are. Did they-
"Oh yeah!" Kenny's sudden outburst startles Kyle. Kenny laughs at his wide-eyed expression, which causes the redhead to glare at him out of embarrassment. "While we wait for Mrs. Marsh to come back, I wanna tell you how cool she is!" And so for the next couple of minutes, Kenny fills Kyle in on not only Mrs. Marsh's amazing feats, but also how their battle against the Being of Darkness went. It was Kenny's way of uplifting the mood.
