Ranjan was fast asleep when these shouts echoed across the village. In all the confusion it was easy to slip away and try and find Mowgli and Shanti...
He's just in time to see Mowgli being chased out of the village by a bear(or at least, that's what it looks like to him)...and Shanti chasing after them...
Ranjan doesn't even think about it! He runs after them!...and immediately gets lost...
For awhile he just wanders aimlessly... Then he spots something that really makes him furious! A snake was hypnotizing Shanti!
Full of fury and determination...he doesn't notice his loincloth snagging on a fallen branch. Ranjan; completely oblivious to this, keeps running. One foot after the other! With each step the resistance increases. But he just keeps pushing forward with all his tiny strength-
RIP!
Fortunately; Kaa is so distracted by the loud rip and the comical sight of a naked mancub, it breaks his concentration. Freeing Shanti, allowing her to punch Kaa unconscious.
"Shanti! You alright?!" Shouts Ranjan. Shanti turns around and quickly turns green and covers her eyes. Really didn't need to see that... She groans to herself...
