AN: this chapter is a gift to MysterD47 for doing my challenge
...
It began like many other story's...the quiet serene of the jungle...and it being interrupted by the bickering of two adolescent children...who are covered in mud- Okay, so not like 'many' other stories...
"You had to take us down one of your 'shortcuts!" Snapped Shanti.
"Well, it wouldn't have been so bad if you hadn't freaked out!" Retorted Mowgli!
"We were attacked by Rhino! Of course I freaked out!"
" They didn't 'attack' until you startled them by freaking out!"
This arguing kept up until they hit the stream, they went to opposite sides of it, striped, and bathed...all the while still arguing-
"Well, I wouldn't have been on edge if SOMEONE hadn't frightened me with that spider!"
"For the hundredth time, I don't now how that spider got in your pack!"
"Yeah, right! Like you had no idea who put glue on my bed!? How dumb do you think I am?
"Do you REALLY want me to answer that?"
Meanwhile, while they bickered while bathing...furry hands began to inch their way out of the nearby bushes...
"Y'know you wouldn't be pranked so much if you weren't a tattle tale!"
"Oh, is it my fault that I'm the only one who has a shred of responsibility in the village and wants to keep people safe?"
"Safe?! How exactly is telling Jacobs mom that he put his elbow on the table 'keeping him safe'?
"He was being rude!"
One-by-one...the monkey's grabbed their clothes...and made a hasty retreat.
"Your impossible!"
"Your a pain!"
"Wild child!"
"Control freak!"
And then they heard the laughter! They looked up just in time to see the monkeys laugh at them as they vanished into the jungle...with their clothes...
"Naturally, both their first response was-
"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!"
…...
