After several hours of yelling at each other- While making sure that neither one was seen by the other -they finally got tired out...
"Okay...it's getting late...let's just table this argument for now...the situation actually isn't all that bad...let's just fashion some clothes out of leaves...and head back to the village separately!" Stated Shanti, putting extra emphasis on the 'separately'.
"Won't that look ridiculous?"
"More ridiculous then walking back naked?"
"...Fine." Huffed Mowgli in resignation as he agreed with her and went to do just that... "But don't think for one second that I won't get back at you for putting us in this situation in the first place!" He thought evilly as he climbed up the Ivy up a nearby cliff...
...
Quickly, he pretended to head toward the nearest suitable tree...but then doubled back when he was sure Shanti wasn't looking. "Okay...I know that most of the leaves around here are poisonous and itchy...that means that this bush is her only viable option!" Thinks Mowgli to himself as he quickly gathers what he needs and waits in the bush...
It takes awhile...but she comes into the clearing washing off her hands...naked...
Mowgli flusters...he'd never seen a naked girl before...and he hated to admit it...but she was kinda cute...
"NO MOWGLI! FOCUS!" He chastised himself as he ignored how his dingus 'rose' at the sight of her. Quickly she plucked leaves from the tree and used them to construct a skirt and top...little did she know that each leave was sprinkled with caterpillar eggs.
"Okay, those caterpillar eggs will hatch anytime now so I just need to wait- WHOA!" Thinks Mowgli as he narrowly prevented his junk from being grabbed by an oblivious Shanti...
Once she leaves, Mowgli quickly runs off to fashion a leaf- loincloth! He didn't want to miss this!
...
Mowgli scratched his leaf loincloth as he stalked Shanti...they were nearing the village! "Shouldn't be long now...And their we go!"
Sure enough...he could see the back of Shanti's leaf skirt starting to fall apart. Mowgli leaned forward excited, as he gave his loincloth another scratch.
"Yep...and now her top is going too! she doesn't notice yet! Oh, this is going to be- WHAT IS WITH THIS LOINCLOTH?!" Shouted Mowgli to himself suddenly, as his scratching becomes even more frantic.
So frantic he accidentally tears it to pieces...revealing a very unsightly rash and PAINFUL rash!" Mowgli screamed as he ran to the stream to wash this off quickly!
Shanti hears his scream...smiles...and doesn't even break her stride...
...Several hours earlier...
"More ridiculous then walking back naked?" Retorts Shanti, and savors as Mowgli is forced to agree with her and do just that. She's about to walk away...when she realizes that 'walking back naked' would be the perfect punishment for Mowgli.
Quickly she ran up the other side of the hill and hide in a bush waiting to see where Mowgli would go to get his leaves.
When he pulled himself onto the top of the edge in front of her...she had to bite her tongue to keep from laughing.
"I knew it! And it's even smaller then I thought!" Thinks Shanti triumphantly...she then tries to follow Mowgli...unfortunately she wasn't as good as traveling through the Jungle as he was...and she quickly lost sight with him.
Fortunately, it had been obvious to see where he'd been heading, so she kept going in that direction and found a tree filled with leaves suitable for clothes making...she then went to work...
Although Shanti would be the first to admit that Mowgli had her beat when it came to knowledge of the Jungle...she knew enough of what leaves could cause painful rashes thanks to Ranjan having eaten most of them!
She quickly found a bush of them, squeezed the itch juice from them and painted every leaf on the tree she was sure Mowgli would use.
After finishing...she realized she should've taken some leaves for herself before doing this...this was annoying, but she brushed it off and left. "Oh, well. I was planning on doubling back and heading in the direction I originally agreed to to make Mowgli less suspicious anyway, so that worked out fine...also I need to wash my hands fast! Their starting to itch!"
...
Shanti smirked as out of the corner of her eye she saw a once again naked Mowgli scrubbing his crotch like a maniac. "Serves you right Mowgli! There aren't any suitable leaves around the village and it's too late to go back and find more! If your late for bed, father will be furious! Yep, everything is turning out great for..."
Her internal monologue tapered off as she felt an odd breeze...she looked down to see the quickly disintegrating scraps of her dress fall off her body...
She growled as she covered herself. "Stupid Mowgli..I WILL remember this...and you WILL pay.."
At the same time...an angry Mowgli was promising the same thing...
