It was a calm and peaceful night in the jungle...not a creature was stiring...save for two man-cubs. Mowgli and Shanti sneaked out of the man-village as they were eager to spend more time together without the watchful eye of the village elders. Although in a relationship...well...Mowgli didn't quite understand what a relationship 'was' to be honest...something Shanti was hoping to fix tonight!
Shanti was really excited for all of the plans that the two had made prior. Mowgli would introduce Shanti to his jungle family of Baloo and the wolf pack, while he prepared a special place for the two to have some alone time.
But as the clouds came over head, the jungle got darker than usual... "Huh." Said Mowgli outloud, "What?" Asked Shanti. "I...think it's to the left of this tree...buuut on the other hand...that tree...MIGHT look better- GAH! I don't know, it's too dark to see clearly and it's been awhile since I've been this way...
Shanti made the careful decision to split up and meet back there within an hour. Mowgli had gone to the right, into the deeper parts of the jungle, while Shanti went to the left...
Several hours had gone by and neither the man-cub or girl-cub managed to find each other. Mowgli was getting increasingly concerned. "Shanti!" Mowgli yelled, hoping to get her attention, yet all it did was rouse another creature from its slumber...Kaa the python. Slithering down, Kaa spied the man-cub and quickly struck, swiping a coil around his foot and pulling him into the air. "Man-cub, it'sssssssss no nice for you to see me again." Kaa immediately began hypnotizing him-
Unfortunately for Kaa, Mowgli had been seeing the local guru about protecting himself from hypnotic influence-
CRACK!
And Mowgli bops him in the nose, causing him to fall to the ground... Mowgli quickly runs...unfortunately, Mowgli had skipped the last lesson- he was confident he'd learned enough...also the guru was kinda boring- which showed how to keep the hypnotic influence from coming BACK...soon Mowgli was stumbling blindly through the jungle...although not under Kaa's control...he was susceptible to anyone who'd find him...

Meanwhile as dawn arrived, a tired and ache-y Shanti rested in the river to wash her feet from the dirt that had stacked up on them after her long night of walking. She took a brief nap at the river's edge, knocked out from the emotional and physical exhaustion of missing her boyfriend. But she felt a strange feeling on her ankles and toes...she woke and found there were several monkeys pulling her up into the air! Screaming and shaking her fists, Shanti was being tossed around just as Mowgli was when he lived in the jungle. But Now instead of wanting to be like man, Shanti was meeting a King who's very idea of fun was to go with Kaa's plan- he was unaware that it had been slightly derailed - and make Shanti hate her man-cub.
"So you're the man-cub's girl-cub? Craaaazy!" Louie said in his newly rebuilt ruins and kingdom, looking at the girl-cub whose white yellow skirt was flowing upside down, exposing her loincloth. "Not as crazy as you are!" Shanti yelled, angrily kicking against the monkeys who were teasing her feminine soles. "Cool it girl-cub, we're just here to give you some little secrets about your man-cub." Louie chuckled, as he snapped his long furry fingers and she fell to the ground with a light thud. "Secrets? What do you know about Mowgli?" She stood up, dusting herself off as she tried to make sense of her surroundings and looked for a way out. "Well he didn't tell you about us?" Louie responded, looking at her with the same glint in his eye he did with Mowgli not too long ago.
"I mean, he did, he told me you kidnapped him and wanted to know about fire." Shanti said timidly. Louie rolled his eyes and began to laugh loudly. "He didn't tell you everything did he? We saw him n***!" Shanti was taken aback by Louie's declaration but she leaned in with primal curiosity, because after all she certainly did want to be with him in an intimate way. If the monkeys saw him n*** then most certainly she would have a vested interest in knowing what he strutted beneath that loincloth of his. "Well, is that true?" Shanti asked, as she turned around and looked at all of the laughing monkeys...
Louie just smirked...and began his tale...
