I don't know when the next update will come but they will be sparse for the time being. I am really busy right now and I don't know when things will calm down.

But enough about that. Enoy.

L Is For Love

Chapter 5: Catfight

Everyone watched with wide eyes as Sam marched into the house and kissed Lincoln on the lips. She had deepened the kiss, using her tongue and that's when Luna acted.
"You bitch!" She howled. She pushed past a stunned Lynn and launched herself at Sam, knocking her away from an equally stunned Lincoln. They fell to the carpet floor and began to fight against one another. Lincoln was the first to recover and he quickly grabbed onto Luna and threw her off of Sam. But this act served to snap the others out of their own shock.

Lynn, Lana, Lucy, and Lisa stood in front of Sam and Lincoln and formed a sort of sister wall that separated them from Luna, Lori, Leni, Luan, and Lola. Clyde and Stella, who had never gotten into a fight before, quickly added themselves to the mix in order to try and defend their friend. They weren't sure what was going on anymore but one thing was clear, Lincoln needed them and that was all there was to it.

"Sharp, you have three seconds to get the hell out of here before I turn you into a human pretzel!" Lori told her as she cracked her knuckles. Seeing Sam Kiss Lincoln had confirmed it to her that Luna had been telling the truth. Lincoln, because he wasn't her brother anymore, was a piece of shit scumbug but she would deal with him later.

"Try it and you're going down, Lori." Lynn said, glaring at the oldest of the Loud Siblings. Lynn was just as confused as the rest of them but she did know one thing. If Lincoln was in danger then she would protect him no matter what. She owed him after the bad luck incident. And she wouldn't doubt him ever again, she knew that if he was dating Sam then it must've been for a good reason.

"You, like, need to be quiet Lynn!" Leni said in a rare show of anger. Leni was normally a bit a ditz. She sometimes couldn't understand things very well and it often led to confusion on her part. But she did understand one thing and that was that Lincoln, not Lincy, had done something horrible to their sister. She couldn't look away from that and Lincoln had to apologize and make it up to Luna. "Lincoln is the one in the wrong here! He needs to apologize!"

"Like hell he does!" Lana shouted back. "Just because Sam likes Lincoln more than Luna that's no excuse for her to act all crazy and punch people!"

"Shut up, Lana! You don't understand what's going on here." Lola spat with clear venom in her tone. "Lincoln stabbed Luna in the back! He's a piece of shit!"

"Little girls shouldn't speak of matters that you don't understand, Lola." Lucy shot back.

"Like you're one to talk, Lucy." Luan pointed out, glaring at the young goth girl. "You're barely out of diapers compared to us!"

"I think we all need to take a moment to calm down and let cooler heads prevail." Lisa said but no one heard her.

Lincoln could see that his family had been split almost down the middle. And it hurt him to see that his big sisters all thought of him as scum...as lower than trash. But right now wasn't the moment to wallow in self pity. There was a situation going on and if he didn't do something then things would explode and they would end up brawling. And he knew that fighting wasn't going to make anything better. Glancing at his friends, he saw that they understood what he wanted to do.

Stella was the one to act first. She gasped loudly and frightfully pointed towards the kitchen. She screamed out in terror and everyone turned towards the kitchen to see what had frightened the poor girl. In that moment of confusion, Lincoln threw down several smoke bombs and he pulled Sam along with him as he exited the house. He wasn't sure where he was going but he knew that he needed to get away while he tried to figure out what was going on. He was the Man with a plan and he had to come up with a way to make things right. He had to.

Back in the Loud House, everyone started to cough as the smoke bombs went off and when it cleared, they saw that Sam and Lincoln were gone.

"Where'd they go?" Luna asked as she looked around and saw that the front door was still open. "Those fuckers got away!"

"Don't worry, Lincoln has to come back sometime and when he does, his ass is grass." Lori promised.

"What's wrong with you girls?" Stella asked the older Louds. "Lincoln is such a great guy, why would you assume the worst of him?"

"Shut up, Zhau, this doesn't concern you!" Lori spat as she towered over the younger girl, though not by much.

"Lincoln is my best friend, of course this concerns me!" Stella shouted back.

Everyone gasped as Stella shouted back at Lori, a feat that wasn't done very often in their house. But Stella didn't care, she knew that Lincoln hadn't done anything wrong and she was going to defend her friend.
"You girls haven't even given him a chance to fully explain himself and yet you're ready to throw him to wolves?" Stella continued, glaring at the older girls, Luna in particular got a frosty glare. "After all he's done for you? After all the times that he sacrificed his happiness for you?"

This got their attention, Leni and Luan in particular looked taken aback by that statement. And Stella pressed on.

"Lincoln isn't perfect, we all know that. But if there's one thing that Lincoln is it's that he isn't a backstabber like you claimed. Lincoln would never have tried to 'steal' a girl from anyone, much less from his own sister! He would have gone out of his way to help you and he did!" Stella glanced over at Clyde, silently asking for his help.

"Yea, Lincoln and I came up with a plan years ago that if he ever showed up late and didn't call or text me, to assume he was helping one of his sisters out." Clyde quickly explained. He pulled out his phone and showed them a picture of the inflatable Lincoln double. "We have this set up so that if he's ever late we can use it to make the teachers think that he was there the whole time."

The older Louds plus Lola were silent as they stared at the picture. It definitely sounded like something Lincoln would do, one of his many crazy yet brilliant plans.

"We set up the double when it became clear that Lincoln wouldn't make it on time." Stella continued. She crossed her arms across her chest, her glare still held in place. "Lincoln showed up after first period, his whole body sweaty because of how fast he had been pedaling to make it on time before the double was discovered. He told us what had happened and knowing Lincoln, there was never any reason to doubt him. When it comes to helping his sisters, he's honest to a fault!"

This made the Loud girls, those that had stood against Lincoln, feel regret towards their actions. At least, those that weren't Luna that is. Luna, who had been listening to the whole thing, just cemented her beliefs.
"The Man with the plan." Luna stated simply. Her voice even with a hint of realization. The others picked up on it and they all knew what she was implying. "That's his nickname..."

"So?" Lynn asked definitely, silently daring her sister to utter the accusation that they all knew was on her lips.

"He's the man with the plan," Luna repeated, looking around the room angrily. "He could have easily come up with a way to set me up and look like the victim in all this!" She turned towards Lynn first. "He's lied before to get his way, remember? The luck thing? He lied to all of us so that he wouldn't have to go to any of our events!"

They all remembered that incident, most of them with regret on how they handled it. But Clyde and Stella didn't know about it.

"What's the Luck thing?" Stella asked.

But none of the Louds wanted to answer, none except Luna who had a point to prove.

"The Bad Luck incident," Luna began to explain. "Lincoln lied to Lynn about being bad luck so that he wouldn't have to go to any of her games. He then continued that lie to the rest of us so that we'd leave him alone."

"And you guys believed him?" Clyde asked them incredulously. Sure, he believed in somethings that probably weren't real like ghosts and the tooth fairy but to believe that Lincoln was bad luck was just ridiculous!

"Don't act dumb, Clyde!" Luna spat, glaring at him and flaring her nostrils angrily. "You of all people know just how charming Lincoln can be. How good he's at lying to others to get his way."

This made Clyde falter, he did know how good Lincoln was at charming people. But that didn't mean that he had planned to backstab Luna and he said as much.

But Luna just laughed hollowly as she stared down at Clyde like he was a poor little boy who didn't know any better. "You sure, Clyde? Lincoln has never tried to go behind your back before? Never lied to you to get his way?"

And as Luna spoke, Clyde did recall times, few as they were, where Lincoln had done exactly that. And he could tell that Luna saw the truth in his eyes.

"Just what I thought." She said smugly.

"I-It's not like that at all!" Clyde quickly defended. "Sure, he's done things like that to me but I've also done stuff like that to him! But we always make up in the end!"

"That doesn't make what he did now okay, though." Luna pressed one. "But it's also not about Linc, not really."

"What do you mean?" Stella asked, her eyes narrowing.

"Don't you see? Lincoln, as much of a prick as he is, wouldn't have done all this, wouldn't have stabbed his own sister in the back, if Sam hadn't seduced him first." Luna declared.

All around them, the sisters began to murmur, seeing the sense that Luna was making. But Lisa was quick to point out something.

"The fact remains that we have yet to hear Lincoln's side of the story. You all attacked him and didn't give him a chance to explain himself. And until he does, all of what you say is hearsay." Lisa said, looking around the room and was pleased that some of them were nodding along. "Until he returns, Lincoln should be treated as innocent until proven guilty. That is that law."

But Lori wasn't having it. She was on Luna's side. "No, that prick had the balls to make out with Sam in front of us and rub it in Luna's face." Even though it had actually been Sam that had kissed him. "When he gets home, I'm going to make sure that mom and dad ground him until he's 18!"

And that made Stella angry. "Why are you such a bitch!?" She asked.

For the second time, everyone in the room gasped, including Clyde. They all watched as the standoff between Lori and Stella resumed once more and this time they were genuinely scared for Stella's life.

"What did you call me?" Lori asked in a dangerously low voice. Her eyes were boring holes into Stella's and if looks could kill, Stella would have been dead twice over.

"I called you a bitch, you stupid bitch!" Stella repeated, feeling a righteous fury swell up and burst from inside of her. She wasn't sure what it was but she knew that Lori was being unfair to Lincoln and she didn't like it one bit.

For a moment, it looked like Lori was going to lunge at Stella and turn her into a human pretzel like she always claimed. Lynn prepared herself for that eventually and she was determined to defend her brother's friend who apparently had a death wish. But Lori didn't lash out, at least not physically. She eyed the younger, taking her fully in. After a moment, she grinned evilly.

"Oh...so it's like that, huh?" She asked almost playfully.

This confused Stella. "Like what?"

Lori laughed haughtily. "Of course! Why didn't I see it sooner?"

"What are you talking about?" Stella asked again.

"Don't you see? You like him, don't you?" Lori asked, smirking smugly at the younger girl like she had just uncovered a juicy bit of gossip.

Stella felt all eyes turned towards her and she felt herself blush. She glared at the older Loud. "I don't like him like that! He's my best friend!"

"Oh course..." Lori said slowly but gleefully, like she was speaking to a child. "Of course you don't like him like that. You just go around calling all of your best friend's older sisters a bitch because you only like them as a friend."

The other girls started to understand what Lori was getting at and they stared shocked at Stella, like they were seeing her for the first time.

"I'm not in love with him!" Stella protested, her cheeks hot with anger. But this just made Lori's smile widened.

"Who said anything about love, dear?" And Stella knew that she had walked into Lori's trap.

What happened next would live on in Clyde's memory as probably one of the bravest, if not most insane things he had ever witnessed. But the catfight between Lori and Stella had been a spectacular thing to see as they both shouted obscenities towards one another as they scratched, clawed, kicked, and slapped one another. And throughout the fight, if you could call it that, Lori kept mocking Stella about her crush on Lincoln which only served to anger the girl even more.

No one dared get in between the two, not even Lynn who had told herself that she would defend her brother's friend. They barely managed to escape the brief hell that occurred in the middle of the living room. And when their parents walked in on them, they all knew that there would be hell to pay for all of them.

End of chapter.
