Chapter 7: School Fight

It would be a couple of hours later when Lincoln would return to his home. He and Sam had spent the rest of the time just hanging out and trying to smile after such a bad day. Lincoln especially told her some funny stories about his past to make her laugh. And Sam had been grateful for his efforts, finding that she felt the ball of dread that had sunk into her stomach was slowly fading away with each laugh. Sam walked with him until they had to split up and the whole time, neither noticed that they had been holding hands.

And now Lincoln was about to enter his home, ready to face the music, so to speak. He knew that there would be hell to pay for his alleged crimes but now that he understood the whole situation he felt that he had a decent chance of explaining things.

Or so he thought because as he opened the door, he heard the sound of sobbing in the middle of the living room. Sitting on the couch were his mother and father, his mom crying while his father comforted her. He wanted to rush over to her and comfort her as well but as soon as they heard the close behind him, they turned to look at him.

"Mom, I-" That was all he was able to get out before his parents stood up suddenly.

"Lincoln, how could you!?" His mother wailed, a fresh batch of tears shedding from her eyes.

His father wore a scowl on his face, one aimed at him. "You have a lot of explaining to do young man." He said in a stern but even tone.

It was the first time that he could ever remember his father using that tone with him, usually their parents let them solve things amongst themselves. And Lincoln felt hurt that his parents assumed the worst from him.

He slumped his shoulders and looked down at his feet. "Why should I? You guys won't believe me anyways…" He said in a defeated tone.

"Give us more credit, Lincoln." Lynn Sr. Said though his tone didn't change. "I want to hear your side of the story. Because honestly, Son, I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how an 11 year old boy got a girl pregnant!"

Lincoln's head shot up, his eyes wide. "W-What?" He practically shouted.

"Lola heard from a classmate of hers that you got that Sharp girl pregnant. Obviously, the blame isn't yours, she must've taken advantage of yo-" But Lincoln had heard enough.

"Sam didn't take advantage of me!" He shouted defiantly at them. Rita cried once more and wailed about her 'baby' while burying her head into Lynn Sr. chest.

"Lincoln, you're just a child! You have no idea how serious this is!" His father said.

"No, you don't understand, Sam and I are just friends!" Lincoln said, glaring up at his father. "She would never do anything like that to me, not against my will!"

"Son, if she touched you, whether you gave her permission or not, it's still considered rape. You're just a child after all."

"But she didn't touch me! And I haven't touched her!" Lincoln shot back. "Why would you believe a stupid rumor over your own son?" He demanded.

But it was his mother who responded. "L-Luna told us that Sam had been using her to get to you." She looked down at him with her red puffy eyes, the eye of a mother who didn't want to accept that her child had been molested. "S-She said that she's been using her body to manipulate and take advantage of you."

Lincoln threw his hands up in the air. "Well if Luna says so then it must be true!" He said sarcastically.

"Don't take that tone with us, young man." Lynn Sr. Snapped.

"No, you two don't take that tone with me!" Lincoln said as he stood his ground. "Luna is wrong. Sam and I aren't together. For fucks sake, the only time that she and I ever kissed was today!"

His cursing had earned a shocked gasp from his parents but the admittance of a kiss occurring only cemented their earlier belief. "Go to your room, young man. You're grounded!"

Glaring at his father, Lincoln stomped his way upstairs furious with his parents. How could they just blindly believe some rumor over their own son. And as he went up the stairs, he failed to realize that in all of the shouting, he never explained the whole misunderstanding. It wouldn't be until he was lying in his bed that he would remember the whole reason this thing started and he fell into a worse mood. He knew that he had to explain the whole situation to his family but he was just so irritated with them. And as he was about to drift off into slumber, his thoughts went back to what his parents had said. The thought of Sam being pregnant floated around in his head and he had to admit, the idea didn't sound so bad. Maybe if they were older, having kids wouldn't be too bad after all.

The next day, Lincoln got ready for school early and left before anyone could say anything to him. He didn't want to start the day off with a fight. Unfortunately for him, in all of the chaos he had forgotten that it was Saturday and thus there wouldn't be any school. But it wouldn't save him from the trouble that was brewing at school for him.

When he arrived at the school, he wasn't surprised to be the first one there, it was still rather early. He made his way towards the library so that he could work on his homework when he heard someone shout his name. He heard the sound of running footsteps and as he heard around, he was surprised once more at being sucker punched.

He went to the floor with a yelp, more surprised than anything else. Lincoln looked up and saw that it was Sam's younger brother that had punched him. And he wasn't alone either. Simon was part of the junior cross country team and he would practice a few times a week early in the morning. And it just happened to be one of those mornings. Lincoln saw the look in the younger boy's eyes and he knew that Simon thought that he had gotten his older sister pregnant.

"Look, Simon, I know that you thi-" Lincoln had been rising to his feet when he felt another fist connect with his other cheek. Two of Simon's cross country friends had circled behind him and they caught Lincoln before he could fall. They threw him back towards Simon and told him to hit Lincoln again.

Not wanting to get him again, Lincoln dodged the next punch and raised his hands up in a halting gesture. "Wait, Simon, this is all a big misunderstanding!"

One of the other boys chuckled. "Hear that Sy, he just slipped on a banana peel and accidentally got your sis pregnant."

With an angry shout, Simon lunged again and Lincoln was forced to defend himself. He ducked under the younger boy's swing, came up behind him and quickly got the boy in a full Nelson.

"Simon, you have to stop!" Lincoln pleaded.

But before he could say his piece, Lincoln saw that the other boys were coming towards him. Having no choice, he pushed Simon away and took several steps back. The first boy came swinging at him and Lincoln sidestepped and tripped him up. In the same movement, Lincoln slipped his backpack off and used it to smack another boy in the face. One boy managed to tackle his midsection but Lincoln instinctively grabbed onto his torso and lifted him up and tossed him to the side. But as he turned back to face Simon, Lincoln was caught off guard and he felt the young boy's fist connect with his chin. Lincoln's face snapped to the side from the sudden blow and he almost lost his balance.

"Fuck him up, Simon!" Another boy shouted.

Lincoln looked around and saw that he was now surrounded by the cross country team. There were six in all and four of them had joined Simon in attacking him. The last one seemed to be acting as a look out for their coach who was nowhere to be seen at the moment.

"Simon, you need to listen to me!" Lincoln tried again to reach the younger boy.

But Simon only glared at him. "The only thing I need to do is make you pay for hurting my sister!"

With a frustrated sigh, Lincoln took up a stance that Lynn had showed him and he waited for Simon to strike. Once the boy was within two feet of him, Lincoln raised his left up block the heavy right hook that Simon had used. As the younger boy looked on in shock, Lincoln took a step towards him, spun on his heel, and then used the boy's own weight against him to toss him over Lincoln's shoulder at another boy who was coming up behind him.

As Lincoln came up, he ducked a high kick from another boy and then backed up as two others began to swing at him. Lincoln was outnumbered and there wasn't much he could do. He didn't want to hurt them but it seemed like he didn't have a choice. While he was sure that he could outrun most of them, he wasn't sure that he could outrun all of them.

Cursing his luck, Lincoln decided that he would have to do his best to take them down without hurting them too badly. Getting into his combat stance, Lincoln waited to see who would attack first. The boys had regrouped as he weighed his options and the one with the number 23 on his jersey attacked first.

Lincoln sidestepped his running Superman punch and spun on his heel to kick the boy in the back of the knee as he landed. Number 23 cried out in pain as he crumpled to the floor. Lincoln then closed the distance between them, pulled his head back by his hair, and then chopped him in the throat, effectively putting him out of the fight.

As number 23 was left sputtering and coughing on the ground, number 17 let out a battle cry as he charged at Lincoln. Number 17 came at him and attempted to strike Lincoln's chest with a reverse spin kick but Lincoln raised his arms to block it. With a grunt, he took the blow before he grabbed onto the kid's ankle and pulled him off balance. Once 17 was on the floor, Lincoln brought his foot down on the boy's elbow and stomped on it hard. Hopefully it wasn't broken but Lincoln knew that he'd be out for a while.

While Lincoln had been busy with number 17, he failed to notice as Number 4 and 20 had charged at him together. Number 4 kicked him in the back, sending him stumbling over Number 17. And then Number 20 tackled him to the ground. Lincoln found himself pinned to the ground as Number 20 began to rain down blows on him. Lincoln raised his arms to block and followed the boy's movements in order to counterattack. After the fifth punch, Lincoln swung along with Number 20's punch and he lunged up and grabbed the boy around the neck. Caught completely off guard, Number 20 was unable to do anything as Lincoln reversed the pin and flipped him on his back. Then to his shock, Lincoln head butted him, breaking his nose.

Number 4 had seen Lincoln reverse the pin and he attempted to close the gap between them before Lincoln could attack his friend. But he was a second too late and he only managed to punch Lincoln after he had already head butted his friend. The Loud boy rolled off of his friend and got up on one knee. Number 4 charged at him and tried to aim a kick for his head. But Lincoln blocked the kick with his arms. Then to Number 4's shock, Lincoln grabbed onto his leg and pulled him down to the ground with a roll that ended with his legs left open. Number 4 could only watch as Lincoln brought his heel down on his family jewels.

Lincoln sprang to his feet and glanced up to see that only Simon and the lookout were left. Lincoln was breathing heavily but he could still fight if Simon decided to continue.

"Simon…please…we have to stop this!" Lincoln said once more.

But Simon didn't want to listen to him. Instead the younger boy let out an angry yell as he charged at Lincoln. Not wanting to hurt him but also having little choice, Lincoln was forced to attack. He waited for Simon to come in close once more before he quickly ducked low as he took a step towards Simon and planted his first into Simon's gut. The punch knocked the wind out of the younger boy and he fell to the ground as he gasped for air.

Lincoln barely had a moment to catch his breath before he heard the lookout shout. "Coach, this way! The Loud boy has gone completely berserk!"

Turned towards the voice, Lincoln could see a middle aged man running towards them with an angry expression. Cursing his luck again, Lincoln took a step back and raised his arms. The Couch roughly grabbed Lincoln by the shoulders and pulled him away from the younger boys.

"Loud, what the hell is going on here!?" The Couch demanded as he shook Lincoln by the shoulders. "Why did you attack my team?"

"I didn't attack them. They attacked me!" Lincoln protested.

But at that moment, the lookout decided to speak. "He's lying! He came up to us and started calling Simon's sister terrible names."

"That's bullshit!" Lincoln shouted as he glared at the boy. "Sam's my friend, I would never do anything like that!"

"Loud, what are you doing here if it wasn't to pick a fight? It's Saturday." The Couch asked as he eyed Lincoln with suspicion.

Lincoln looked up at the couch with confusion. "It is? I thought it was Friday."

This made the Couch ease up a bit. "No, it's Saturday. Why did you think it was Friday?"

Lincoln sighed. "I've had a rough day yesterday." He admitted. "I forgot what day it was and I wanted to get out of my house so that I wouldn't have to deal with any family drama."

"I see…" The couch released Lincoln and then turned towards his students. "Look…obviously this is going to be a situation where all of you will blame the other. Luckily we have cameras on this property and we can see who really started this. So I'm giving you all one chance to tell me the truth before I go look at the surveillance video."

Hearing him say that, the other boys all paled. "It was Simon's idea!" They all said.

But Simon wasn't deterred. He glared at Lincoln with hatred in his eyes. "That asshole got my big sister pregnant!"

The Couch's mouth dropped. "Wha…."

The older man looked from Lincoln to Simon several times before he pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. "I don't get paid enough for this…" He turned towards his team, most of which were still sporting injuries from the fight. "Look, I don't know what to do in this situation. You six attacking the Loud boy is wrong no matter what you think he did. I'm gonna have to report this to the principal because I honestly don't know what to say. So all of you go home or to the nurse's office if you think you need it. I'll deal with you once the Principal decides what to do." He then turned towards Lincoln. "Loud…I don't have the words. Just go home. Whatever family trouble you have is probably not as bad as you think it is. Whether or not you got a girl pregnant is none of my business. Just go."

Lincoln nodded before he picked his backpack off of the ground and made his way towards Clyde's house. He wasn't going home just yet.

"Oh my god, Lincoln, what happened?" Clyde asked in alarm as his best friend stood on his porch.

Lincoln sighed. "It's a long story, can I come in?"

Clyde quickly ushered his best friend inside and led him towards the bathroom where they had a first aid. As Clyde set about to cleaning Lincoln up and administered the first aid, he listened to his friend describe to him the fight that happened at school. Once he was done, Clyde was in shock.

"I can't believe that this whole thing led to another fight." Clyde said aloud as he put the first aid away.

"What do you mean, another fight?" Lincoln asked as he held the ice pack to his cheek.

"You mean you haven't heard?" Clyde asked, surprise written on his face.

"Heard what?" Lincoln asked.

"Let's get you to the living room first, buddy." Clyde said as he led them out of the bathroom. Once they sat down, Clyde quickly explained what had happened after he and Sam had left the Loud House. And as Lincoln listened to Clyde, he couldn't help but feel both grateful and guilty towards Stella. "And then your parents got home and pulled them apart."

"Is Stella okay?" Lincoln asked immediately.

"She's a little banged up." Clyde admitted. "She told me that her parents grounded her for starting a fight even if it was to defend her best friend."

Lincoln sighed as he fell backwards into the couch. "How could this get any worse?" He grumbled to himself. Not only was he dealing with half of his sisters thinking that he had stolen Luna's crush but now Lori had started a fist fight with one of his best friends.

"At least Sam really isn't pregnant, right?" Clyde asked him, trying to find a silver lining.

"No…" Lincoln sighed. "But good luck in telling my parents that."

"Well why doesn't she just take a pregnancy test?" Clyde suggested. "That way they will see that she's not pregnant and that you're totally innocent."

"That's actually a good idea." Lincoln nodded. But then he thought about how he would even propose that idea. His parents no doubt wouldn't believe him, not that they ever did. Also with Stella fighting Lori, they would think that Stella was probably also pregnant with his child. "Say, Clyde, what else did Lori say to Stella?"

"What do you mean?" Clyde asked.

"Did she only accuse Stella of liking me? Or did she also accuse Stella of having my baby?" Lincoln asked.

"Well…" Clyde began but then stopped. He placed a hand on his chin as he tried to recall the fight from the night before. Lori had accused Stella of being in love with Lincoln but he didn't recall anything other than that. "I don't think that she accused Stella of being pregnant…"

"That's good." Lincoln sighed. "Can you imagine having to ask Stella to also take a pregnancy test? I think I'd die of embarrassment."

At this the two boys chuckled before deciding to work on their homework. And as he worked, Lincoln decided that he would need to talk to Stella as soon as he could. Both to apologize and to hear her side of the story.

End of chapter.
