Chapter 54 Scissorhands

Snow was failing down over the city as Smart Brain was preparing for another Christmas for everyone, Judai was having his men prepare for the holiday as he looks around.
Shiraori came and said: "It seems your getting ready."
"Of course, today is special for everyone, only those jerks that can't accept that this is good for the moral." Judai said.
He always has headaches with those idiots that think this is childish and all that, when this is supposed to be a day of joy and they only care about themselves.
"What are the others going to do now?" Judai asked.
"Well they're helping around since they're excited for something back home." Shiraori said.
"Well that's good." He said.
Judai goes out to the city and he saw Nibelcole and Squigly talking and he smiles since he likes that his friends get along.
He also saw Akame slashing at a dummy.
"Always training even now." Judai said.
She looks at him. "It's better to get ready, i've need to be ready when that man Hugo appears."
"I see, but be a bit more relaxed." He goes out.
Akame stares at Judai before Ariel appears behind him. "Hey there!"
She got surprised and turns around with her sword ready.
Ariel laughs. "Wow, you should have seen the look on your face."
Akame frowns seeing her. "Your like someone of my past."
"Well either way, your strong for a human, of course theres more stronger ones out there." Ariel said.
"I will get stronger." Akame said.
"Well you better be, the last time you had a big fight from what I heard didn't end well." Ariel said.
With Judai
He was walking down the forest and he goes around and found the graves. "Huh, this is the place that I met Emily."
He remebers his corpse bride very well and he wonders how she's doing.
Judai goes foward and sees the tree that she came out. "Huh, it brings back memories."
He then noticed a mansion in the distance and he wonders about it, he goes foward and saw it was pretty old, but theres many hedges that are around the area that are cut into many shapes like animals and stars making him curious.
"Does someone live here?" He said.
He goes inside and sees a machine of sorts that is made for cutting with robots that have scissor fingers.
"Huh." He said.
He heard a sound upstairs, he walks up slowly and sees a basement, he looks foward and someone was kneeling down on the floor in the shadows.
He goes foward. "Hey are you okay?"
Judai noticed it was a woman before she turns towards him before she goes foward.
When she came to the light he got stunned, she's wearing a black dress made of leather with straps on the waist and she has wild hair, but the most surprising thing about her is that she has scissorhands. (Kotobukiya Edward Scissorhands Horror Bishoujo Statue)
"Are those real?" He asked.
She nodded with a neutral look. "I'm not finished."
"I'm Judai, what is your name?" He asked.
She stares at him and said: "Edra."
"Okay Edra, do you live here all lone?" He asked.
"Yes." Edra said.
"Where's your family? Your mother?" He asked and she didn't respond. "Your father?"
"He didn't wake up." She said.
He understood what she's saying. "I see, do you ever go out?"
"The monsters are there." She said.
"Oh." He knows what she's talking about.
She must have been afraid, with the zombies out there she must have never wanted to go out.
"Well you don't have to worry, this part of the woods has been blocked off." He said.
"Thank you." She said.
He didn't even say it was him, but she must have known somewhat, he did had a wall around the place since this was Emily's forest.
"So would you like to go a place with people?" He asked.
She goes to a window and sees the snow failing. "I'm scared."
He goes to her side and could see she doesn't want to be with others.
"Did someone come here?" He asked.
"A long time ago." She said. "I had a friend, her name was Kim, she tried to protect me, but, I couldn't even hug her."
Judai frowns and looks at her hands, he grabs on to them and lifts her scissors up gently, she looks at him and he said: "I see." He noticed a broken part of a window that was fixed. "You had to... Kill someone."
She nodded. "I had to protect her."
He goes with her and he looks around the mansion. "How about a little more color."
She tilts her head, he goes out and she watches Judai leave, after some time he brought a crate and he starts to decorate the place with christmas stuff and she smiles seeing them.
"What do you think?" He asked.
"It's pretty." She said.
"Yeah, afterall Christmas is a time of joy, where people can be together, no matter who they are." He said.
She smiles at his words. "Thank you."
Judai looks outside and said: "You know... I could stay for a bit since I have plenty of time, and i'll come back when they're all sleeping."
"I would like that." Edra said.
Judai smiles at her, he knows what it means to be alone, most of the times it's because he didn't want to hurt anyone else so maybe it won't be so bad to spend Christmas with her.
He watches Edra cut ice blocks with her scissors making snow from it and the blocks turn into shapes from her work and he was impressed.
"You have a gift Edra." He said.
She smiles at his words since it's like the time she once belonged somewhere.
Judai gives her a present and she got surprised.
"It's nothing much but..." He said.
She opens it and sees a ribbon that was blue and he puts it on her hair.
She smiles at it. "Thank you."
Judai nodded and he spends time with her, since Edra needed a real friend for this Christmas and he'll visit her more times.
While Edra found a new friend that she can be with like Kim.
Note: Here's Faiz Christmas special and it's about Edward Scissorhands more so the Kotobukiya and the timeline takes place after the movie so Kim and her family have long since passed.
