Okay since I was researching about Viola's Surskit and Vivillion and realizing they got some OP moves early on which seems like BS. I decided to buff Alex's Pidgey and Dunsparce for this fight. What moves will they have is what you see below, So be prepared for a custom Alex episode in the gym. This will happen for all eight gym battles! This is the first custom episode out of 26 I believe. So enjoy it!

"Oh.. Man..." Ash said feeling down, he remembered how he lost.
"How do you feel?" Alex said looking at his friend.
"Still upset, But it's not the end. I know I need something different." Ash said knowing he needs a new plan.
"Ash, I'm sorry about the loss. You should indeed try to do something different." Alex said putting his hand on his shoulder.
"Yeah, your right." Ash said as he needed to refocus on strategies and winning the battle next time.
"Oh! That reminds me! Alex, Aren't you gonna battle viola?" Bonnie said as Alex nodded.
"Yeah, after Ash did lose. I train my team overnight and study. And I knew something was good if I played it right." Alex said turning to the place he was read
"So alex, are you ready for your turn at the gym battle?" Clemont said looking at Alex.
"Yeah, I've been planning and strategizied last night." Alex said as he nodded.
"Do you know what your gonna do?" Serena said asking Alex which he pushed up his glasses.
"Use Surskit's attacks toward my advantage." Alex said with a smile as he remembered he took notes.
"How do you plan that?" Bonnie said as Alex nodded.
"Use the Ice and make some moves that knock her out like a shocker." Alex said remembering the ice battlefield moment.
"What do you got in mind?" Ash said.
"Just rollout with Dunsparce and some secrets with pidgey." Alex said looking at the two pokemon.
"And Vivillion?" Ash said, remembering the butterfly pokemon.
"Put it to sleep before she puts my pokemon to knockout mode." Alex said needing to get a strategy to slow them down.
"Good luck Alex, We'll see you there." Ash said as Alex nodded and quickly headed off.
"Alright. Here we go." Alex said as he headed off toward the Santalune City gym, ready for his match against Viola. It was time for him to win his first badge!

EPISODE 6: A Battle Of The Bugs! (Ash)
EPISODE 6: Strategize and Seek! (Alex)
"Hello! Viola?" Alex called from the outside santalune city gym.
"Ah, There you are. Are you ready to share the toughness from me?" Viola said as the doors opened up.
"Yes, I am ready." Alex said who was confident.
"I'm glad you are. Have you been trying to keep up after Ash lost?" Viola said asking Alex to whom he nodded.
"Yeah, Been working a lot. That's for sure!" Alex said with determination.
"Good, I'll be ready when you are." Viola said heading inside the battle.
"Ah, Thank you." Alex said with happiness and readiness.
"Shall we head out to the battlefield? I have been curious on your strategy, I'm a tough one." Viola said with confidence on her face. Knowing how much trouble that could be.
"Yes. Train and Study is a key piece." Alex said as he did begin to train overnight.
"Alright, Come to the gym when ready." Viola said fully entering the place as Alex got himself ready.
"Sure thing, It's my first step towards the Kalos league." Alex said as he entered behind Viola.
Santalune City Gym Battlefield.
"Huh, it's not lighten up yet." Alex said remembering about the place needing to open up.
"Sorry, I need the lights on." Viola said as they remembered they needed light.
"Did something break or something?" Ash said in confusion, they did enter too.
"Why are the lights so dark in here?" Clemont said in confusion as Alex walked down a few steps and was on the field.
"Ohh right, Alexa?" Viola said to Alexa who remembered.
"Sure thing Sis." Alexa said as she opened the curtain and turned on the lights.
"Huh? Whoa oh! WAH!" Alex said as the lights went on, He realized he was on the battlefield where it was still covered in ice that viola forgot to remove the day before. Alex then slipped and fell on his back and groaned in pain. Viola noticed then realized with embarrassment.
"Oh, that's right. I forgot to remove the ice on the battlefield. My bad." Viola said chuckling with embarassment.
"Not a problem… viola." Alex said in pain and being weak.
"Oh dear." Ash sighed as everyone felt so surprised.
"Let me clean up real quick." Viola said wanting to remove the ice on the field.
"Sure thing... Viola." Alex said weakly as Viola wanted to get some hot packets and blowdryers to melt the ice.
"...Oh Alex..." Ash said knowing that was an embarassing start to the Kalos gyms also.
A Few Minutes Later.
"Alright, So are we ready?" Viola said to Alex who took a deep breath.
"Yes! I am always ready for this!" Alex said being ready as the referee nodded.
"The gym battle between Alex, the challenger. And viola, the santalune gym leader will now begin. Each side will have the use of two pokemon and the battle will be over when either trainer's pokemon are unable to continue. Both the gym leader and the challenger may substitute Pokemon." The referee said giving orders which was different.
"Well, You know my choice. Surskit, Go!" Viola said choosing surskit as her first pokemon.
"Let's go." Surskit said being ready to battle.
"Alright. Pidgey, You're time to shine!" Alex said, summoning Pidgey.
"Sure thing." Pidgey said getting ready for it's battle.
"Alright. Battle, Begin!" The Referee said as Ash lost to Viola. Now it's alex's turn!
ALEX VS VIOLA: TWO ON TWO
"Alright Pidgey, We've studied and trained all night. Let's be cautious here, this surskit can be an issue." Alex said as he knows how good surskit can be.
"Let's see how you can stop Surskit." Viola said as surskit was determined.
"Use Twister!" Alex said using his command.
"Twister!" Pidgey said starting to use Twister.
"Dodge it Surskit!" Viola said as surskit dodged the twister, alex pushed up his glasses.
"Haha, That's fun." Alex said as Viola was confused.
"Huh?" Viola said, Alex sucked it up and was gonna prove he was faster.
"Use Agility and Wing attack!" Alex said commanding a double move to raise Pidgey's attack and speed. It zoomed like a rocket toward surskit.
"What!? How is able to do that? Ngh, Dodge it!" Viola said in a sudden panic to Surskit.
"Agility! Agility! AGILITY!" Pidgey said as it used Agility, Although Surskit was dodging it. It's Agility caught up to it's speed and hit it with wing attack from the front!
"ARGH!" Surskit said as it was a direct hit.
"Hit it back, Signal beam!" Viola said as Surskit let pidgey get behind and aimed signal beam at it.
"Use Agility once more to dodge it!" Alex said as Pidget raised it's speed more and more!
"Signal Beam!" Surskit said as Pidgey avoided swiftly.
"Agility! Missed me!" Pidgey said as it dodged Signal beam, and another one. And another one.
"Alright. Twister! Now!" Alex said as he needed to hit Surskit.
"Counter with Ice Beam!" Viola said to react to the hit.
"Twister!" Pidgey said firing a twister toward Surskit.
"Ice Beam!" Surskit said as the moves collided and cancelled out leaving an explosion.
"Hmm. Interesting choice of movesets for a Pidgey you got." Viola said, praising alex.
"It's been trained well with new moves. I live to see some fights like this!" Alex said with lots of determination with his fist, being ready.
"Why is it that he does that? Is he prepared for Viola?" Alexa said in confusion.
"Maybe." Ash said, watching.
"It's not when he'll attack, but when she'll manage to do to counter it is the question." Clemont said, trying to deduct. Viola just watched.
"Planning something from me, aren't you?" Viola said in consideration.
"Well, Will you do it? Or delay some more?" Alex said as Viola was ready for it.
"Signal Beam, Surskit!" Viola said as Surskit got the command.
"Signal Beam!" Surskit said, firing Signal beam.
"Dodge with Agility!" Alex said as Pidgey swooped.
"Agility!" Pidgey said as it dodged Agility once more and stared at Surskit.
"Alright. Play low on the battlefield. Wing attack!" Alex said as Pidgey started up wing attack.
"Quick, Dodge it." Viola said to Surskit.
"Hmm!" Pidgey swooped in but Surskit dodged as Pidgey was on the battlefield
"I see then. Use Ice beam on the battlefield!" Viola said to Surskit. Alex just smirked, Viola made a mistake.
"Now that's what I call, genius." Alex said as Viola was suddenly confused.
"Huh?" Viola said, what was gonna happen?
"Ice Beam!" Surskit said as it began icing the battlefield, Viola smirked but Alex had a more bigger smirk. Viola noticed in confusion.
"Alright. Fly up pidgey, So you don't feel the effects." Alex said as he raise his hand up.
"Hup, Up and Away!" Pidgey said flying upwards, avoiding everything.
"Now, Lower down and use Twister!" Alex said as Pidgey was on the icy battlefield.
"Twister!" Pidgey said using twister, it then lowered onto the ice field.
"Okay, Surskit. Use Sticky Web!" Viola said as it was her chance to attack!
"Sticky Web!" Surskit said firing sticky web but Alex smirked at this.
"Dodge by flying up!" Alex said as Surskit fired sticky web but it only covered the battlefield instead.
"So using the Icy sticky web advantage, huh? Alright then Viola. I love your games now." Alex thought in his head as he had an idea.
"Use Quick Attack!" Alex said to Pidgey.
"Use Protect!" Viola said to Surskit.
"Quick Attack!" Pidgey said, charging at Surskit.
"Protect... Nope!" Surskit said as it blocked Quick Attack. Alex grunted.
"Well, That's gonna be a bit of trouble." Alex said, knowing that's gonna be in trouble.
"What's Alex gonna do? That Surskit is trying to play the ground game." Bonnie said being worried that Pidgey will lose.
"I know alex won't give up like this. He's always got something up his sleeve." Ash said, wanting Alex to win.
"My Sis is tough, It would need luck to escape this." Alexa said as Alex saw an opportunity.
"Use the air for speed!" Alex said as a gust of air was felt in the room.
"Alright then!" Pidgey said getting faster and faster around the room with the air.
"Use Signal Beam!" Viola said as Surskit looked and saw Pidgey.
"Intercept with Wing attack!" Alex said, wanting to hit it.
"Signal Beam!" Surskit said firing signal beam.
"Wing attack! Argh!" Pidgey said diving into it but getting directly hit as it was swooped back and focused.
"Ngh, That didn't do it? Well I know what I can do!" Alex thought, it was strong no doubt. But it's quick if he can't hit hard and catch up. Then he saw the battlefield to his advantage.
"Alright! Pidgey! Listen up! I got an idea! It wasn't planned yesterday but lets do it." Alex said to the bird pokemon.
"Alright, Let's do it." Pidgey said being ready.
"In that case, Surskit. Use Protect!" Viola said, needing to be aware of the attack.
"Use Gust..." Alex commanded as Viola smirked.
"Really? A Move on protect?" Viola said as Alex turned his hand into a fist.
"On the Sticky Ice field!" Alex said as he punched his fist on the ground, Viola suddenly gasped.
"Protect!" Surskit said, using the small blue force.
"Huh!?" Everyone said as Pidgey started to use it's wings.
"What?!" Viola said in shock as Pidgey started gusting.
"Gust! Gust! Gust!" Pidgey said as the sticky webs on the icy field started to detach and break apart from what was happening, soon all the sticky webs were gone and Viola gasped that it was for nothing.
"Ah!? The webbing!" Viola said as it was all gone. Now just an icy battlefield.
"Now, It's in our favor!" Alex said as Viola still remain calm.
"Try another Sticky Web!" Viola said as Surskit got sticky web ready.
"Use Agility and Wing attack!" Alex said combining two attacks once again.
"Agility Attack!" Pidgey said using the combined attacks and hitting surskit.
"Agh! Ngh!" Surskit said firing the sticky web in the air and the ceiling, blocking the sun.
"Surskit! Hang in there!" Viola said as Surskit got to focus once more.
"Now, Try to circle around!" Alex said as Viola needed a counter.
"Keep an eye on the pidgey!" Viola said as surskit kept watching him.
"I see what you wanna do. Losing sight is a big piece from you but it seems as if I can do this." Alex said as he noticed.
"Don't get cocky, Surskit won't quit like this!" Viola said as Surskit kept staying up but it was brutalized.
"Dive in there! Get toward it!" Alex said watching her make her choice.
"Use Protect!" Viola said once again. Alex had an idea from it.
"Protect!" Surskit said starting to use the blue orb to surround it.
"Haha, Nope! Stop and use Sand Attack!" Alex said using a wasted move.
"Huh!?" Viola said as Pidgey used Sand Attack, not damaging Protect.
"See, You might think I would attack by diving. But I never fully used a move. Thus wasting protect. And I used a worthless move on it. And it should end..." Alex said with a smile on his face.
"Ah!? No way!" Viola gasped as the orb died.
"What!?" Surskit said as it didn't connect.
"Right about now. Use Quick Attack!" Alex said as Pidgey stared at Surskit.
"Quick Attack!" Pidgey said knocking surskit back hard as it was beaten more.
"Argh!" Surskit said as it came to a stop. Alex smiled at Pidgey.
"Good hit Pidgey, Your getting better!" Alex said as Viola smiled.
"Oh no, I need this perfect moment!" Viola said as she did the finger picture box once again.
"I like what your showing. It's confidence from you viola."
"Thank you, but it's not over yet. Signal Beam!" Viola said, needing a Signal beam to hit.
"Use Twister!" Alex said as Surskit and Pidgey eyed each other.
"Signal Beam!" Surskit said firing
"Twister!" Pidgey said as the moves collided and exploded in the air.
"Perfect. I must say." Viola said as the explosion smoke cleared up.
"..." Pidgey wasn't there. It vanished for some reason as Viola was surprised. Where did the Pidgey suddenly go?
"Where'd the Pidgey go?!" Viola realized.
"Now! Wing Attack!" Alex said as pidgey divebombed and hit surskit from behind.
"Wing Attack!" Pidgey said as Surskit got up.
"Wow, Smart." Viola said as alex got a pokeball out.
"Alright, Now return Pidgey. Good job." Alex said, returning pidgey to it's pokeball.
"Interesting choice." Viola said as alex made his change.
"Alright, Dunsparce. Back on!" Alex said summoning dunsparce.
"I'm back. Let's go." Dunsparce said being introduced.
"Using Dunsparce, Pretty interesting." Viola said as she looked at it.
"Heh, Think it's icy field can outmatch it?" Alex said being ready.
"Alright, I see the way you like it Alex. Surskit. Ice beam!" Viola said trying to use Ice Beam.
"Dunsparce. Glare!" Alex said as commanded a good move.
"Ice..." Surskit said starting to use the move.
"GLARE!" Dunsparce said firing off a status move. Surskit became paralyzed.
"Uh... Uhh..." Surskit said as it stopped Ice beam from being attacked.
"Surskit!" Viola cried as Surskit was paralyzed.
"What happened to Surskit? It stopped the Ice beam!" Bonnie said being surprised.
"Glare is a Paralyze move and Dunsparce got it off perfectly, Now Surskit is slower. He's taking advantage of my sister's ideas." Alexa explained, Alex was doing good since Surskit might be slower.
"He's incredibly good." Helioptile said in awe, watching alex.
"Now. Rollout!" Alex said as Viola gasped, that is a strong move.
"Quick, Surskit. Dodge!" Viola said as Surskit tried to. But paralysis kicked in.
"Ngh..." Surskit painfully said as it was fully paralyzed.
"Rollout!" Dunsparce said as it hit rollout on a paralyzed Surskit, sending it back.
"Argh!" Surskit said in pain.
"Surskit no!" Viola cried out as Alex smiled.
"Yeah! Keep it up!" Alex said as Dunsparce continued the onslaught.
"Rollout!" Dunsparce said rolling out once more and coming back.
"Quick! Spin!" Viola said as Surskit broke through the paralysis.
"Huff! Missed me!" Surskit said dodging it.
"It dodged while being Paralyzed! It's quick.. but weakened enough." Clemont said noticing how Alex was playing differently than ash.
"Surskit. Oh dear." Viola said looking at her weakened pokemon. She thought of switching.
"Come on Sis, what do you got for Alex?" Alexa said as Rollout stopped and dunsparce was by alex.
"The rollout stopped, Perfect moment." Alex said as Surskit was beaten and battered but still standing.
"Huff. Argh... Agh.." Surskit said as Viola needed to change. She got surskits pokeball out.
"Oh no. I think I should save you for later." Viola said as Alex was midly enjoying this. He smiled and looked at her.
"Do it." Alex said with confidence.
"Huh? What're you saying?" Viola said looking at Alex, was this some mind games?
"I'm not afraid, are you?" Alex said as Viola fell for a trick.
"Alright. Surskit. Return!" Viola said, trying to return Surskit. Alex had a smile on his face that spelled wrong move.
"NOPE! Dunsparce! Finish with Pursuit!" Alex said commanding a strong pursuit.
"Ah?!" Everyone said as that was a good move.
"Pursuit!?" Serena said in shock from the move.
"It's a move that attacks the opponent and doubles if the person gets the attempted switch in!"
"Pursuit!" Dunsparce said as it connected Pursuit before Viola got the switch in, sending it to a wall very hard.
"Surskit!" Viola said as Surskit came out with swirls on it's eyes and fainted, losing the battle.
"Surskit is unable to battle! Dunsparce is the winner!" The Referee said as Viola lost surskit to the battle.
"Alright! Good job Dunsparce!" Alex said as Dunsparce just yawned a bit.
"Surskit, Return. You deserve a good rest." Viola said returning her surskit to her pokeball.
"Already defeated? That was smart." Serena said, noticing Alex's strategy a bit.
"It's incredible what his strategy is to become of it against viola." Clemont said in amazement of Alex's battle tactics.
"I guess my sister never predicted a pursuit from a dunsparce, he came with a plan that caused it to prevent the surskit from more damage. That's some clever mind." Alexa said knowing that pursuit was strong.
"Alright, Now my ace. Let's do this Vivillion!" Viola said summoning Vivillion.
"It's time to fly high." Vivillion said, riding high once more.
"There it is.. Very powerful." Alex said seeing Vivillion.
"Let's see if you can defeat Vivillion." Viola said, Vivillion was strong alright.
"Use Rollout!" Alex said as Dunsparce started rolling and used Rollout.
"Rollout!" Dunsparce said as it hopped.
"Dodge it, Quickly!" Viola said as Rollout missed.
"Too Fast!" Vivillion said as it dodged, Alex realized.
"Roll back to me!" Alex said as Dunsparce understood.
"Got it, Rollout. Hup!" Dunsparce said, using rollout and stopping near alex.
"Okay. So now were not in the air and she is, I believe we can be able to get her down if we slow her down." Alex said needing to stop the thing.
"Let's see if pays off Alex. Vivillion was strong to defeat Ash." Viola said as ash hung his head. Alex needed something.
"Alright. I see if we use the Ice, Something works. Jump!" Alex said, needing dunsparce to jump.
"And hop!" Dunsparce said, heading to vivillion.
"Use Psychic!" Viola said as she commanded Psychic early on.
"Charge in with Pursuit around yourself!" Alex said as Dunsparce spun around.
"Psychic.." Vivillion said as Dunsparce started using Pursuit.
"Pursuit!" Dunsparce said as Psychic seemed to have not effected it.
"Ngh.. No!" Vivillion grunted hard but the Psychic failed from it's pursuit type making it immune.
"What happened!?" Bonnie said, she was confused on what happened. Dedenne gasped also.
"Pursuit is a dark type move and since it surrounded itself it seemed as if turned into a dark type, being immune to Psychic!" Clemont said, studying how Alex managed to battle with it's type being used as an advantage.
"Pursuit!" Dunsparce said hitting a good Pursuit to Vivillion.
"Argh!" Vivillion said being hit by Pursuit.
"Ah! Vivillion!" Viola said as Vivillion shook it off.
"Amazing Dunsparce, You hit it!" Alex said as Dunsparce didn't care much but he was happy.
"I think that was clever. But believe me. We're gonna need the perfect shot to win this one!" Viola said wanting to win and defend her crown.
"Don't worry, It won't be when we get the perfect shot for victory." Alex said as he did the motion that Viola did before.
"use Sleep Powder!" Viola said as Alex had a plan.
"Quick, Glare!" Alex said as Vivillion began to sleep powder.
"Sleep Powder..." Vivillion said as Dunsparce fired glare.
"Glare!" Dunsparce said as it got Vivillion.
"Gngh!" Vivillion said as the sleep powder stopped.
"Shake it off Vivillion! You can do it!" Viola said as Vivillion seem to block glare with Sleep powder.
"Ngh.. Argh, GARGH! AAAH!" Vivillion said as it broke through.
"What on earth!?" Alex said, How was vivillion breaking the glare?
"Nice, Vivillion!" Viola said as everyone was shocked.
"It broke off the Paralyze!" Bonnie said freaking out.
"But it stopped the Sleep powder, look!" Clemont said as Vivillion stopped Sleep powder.
"Alright, use Pursuit!" Alex said wanting pursuit to hit again.
"Use Gust to knock it away!" Viola said.
"Gust! Gust!" Vivillion said firing gust after gust.
"Pursuit!" Dunsparce said, using Pursuit.
"Gust- Argh!" Vivillion said getting hit before the gust managed to knock dunsparce down.
"Agh!" Dunsparce said landing hard on the battlefield.
"Ah!" Everyone said as Dunsparce got the worst of it.
"Sorry, Gust stopped it!" Viola said as Vivillion stopped.
"You alright Dunsparce?" Alex said as Dunsparce got up.
"Yes. I can continue." Dunsparce said with determination.
"That's the spirit!" Alex said as Viola was in trouble. She needed to get that Dunsparce out of the field now!
"Gust! once more!" Viola said to Vivillion.
"Play safe! Stay on the ice with your tail!" Alex said as he was ready for the move.
"Gust! Gust!" Vivillion said, repeating on the last attack.
"Ice, Tail!" Dunsparce said using it's tail on the battlefield to prevent getting blown away.
"Hmm.. Huh?" Vivillion said in shock as Dunsparce seemed alright.
"Sorry. Nope." Dunsparce said as it wasn't budging.
"Wow, clever." Viola said as she realized, Ash noticed.
"Yes! Alright!" Alex said with confidence.
"What're you gonna do now? Vivillion's a hard one. Glare failed to stop her from paralysis." Viola said as Alex had an idea.
"Alright, Dunsparce. Use Yawn!" Alex said as Dunsparce used a strange cloud at Vivillion whom touched it.
"Yawn..." Dunsparce said giving a cloud as it touched vivillion.
"Huh? What?" Vivillion said looking around.
"A Yawn huh? I don't think it'll work. Solar Beam!" Viola said as Vivillion started to charge up a good move.
"Solar..." Vivillion started charging up. But due to the sun being weak unlike yesterday, it was slow.
"While it's charing up Solar Beam. Dunsparce, Return!" Alex said as he returned Dunsparce to it's pokeball, surprising Viola on the change he will play.
"Huh?" Viola said as Alex got his other pokeball out and knew what to do.
"Alright. Pidgey. You're turn to shine!" Pidgey said coming back out.
"Let's do this!" Pidgey said coming out of his pokeball.
"Play Defensively when Vivillion fires Solar Beam!" Alex said to the bird pokemon who looked at him and nodded like he got it.
"Got it Alex!" Pidgey said, playing defensively.
"BEAM!" Vivillion said as if fired solar beam and hit pidgey.
"Ngh... NGHHH!" Pidgey said, he was on the battlefield in pain, before he managed to get back up without a problem.
"Pidgey! Are you okay!?" Alex cried out to his pokemon.
"Yes! I am fine!" Pidgey said as he was beaten up but okay.
"No way!" Viola said as everyone gasped.
"Alright! Amazing job, Pidgey. Return. Dunsparce. Back out!" Alex said returning Pidgey to his pokeball before summoning Dunsparce once again.
"Thank you." Pidgey said being returned back.
"Let's do this." Dunsparce said as Viola looked at it.
"That was clever switching in like that, But will it work?" Viola said, questioning alex on his choice.
"Use Rollout!" Alex said, he ignored her and commanded an attack instead.
"Stay above it!" Viola said as Vivillion needed to avoid the speed.
"Rollout!" Dunsparce said charging at villion with another one.
"Nope!" Vivillion said, swiftly dodging it, Alex wasn't liking this at all.
"How can I knock off that Vivillion? Wait, I got it!" Alex thought before he suddenly had an idea.
"I got it! Use Rollout on the ice and make a point to roll off it!" Alex said as he noticed the ice and had a plan.
"Rollout! Rollout!" Dunsparce said using rollout on the ice and planned to ramp it.
"What's with the rolling around? Are you making a ramp? Cause it won't work." Viola said as Alex looked at Vivillion.
"Don't worry, It should kick in... about now." Alex said as Vivillion floated around Dunsparce, Viola had a smile on her face as if nothing worked.
"Nothing happened. Alright, Vivillon. Use Psychic!" Viola said giving a powerful command move.
"..." Vivillion didn't respond to her, it seemed to ignore her.
"Vivillon?" Viola said as Vivillion was asleep. Yawn perfectly kicked for Alex.
"Zzzzz..." Vivillion said falling asleep as Yawn got it perfectly asleep.
"No! Vivillion!" Viola cried out as everyone but ash gasped in delight.
"Incredible, Using Yawn managed to put Vivillion to sleep! Now it won't wake up!" Clemont said, seeing Alex's perfect strategy. Using Status conditions!
"And that's what I say. Perfection." Alexa said noticing how it was asleep before any damage could be done.
"Alright Alex!" Bonnie said cheering for the boy.
"Look Viola, Ahead of you!" Alex said as she noticed now. A bit too late.
"Huh? Wait, A ramp!?" Viola cried out in surprise.
"Now, Once more! Rollout! On the Icy ramp!" Alex said as Dunsparce kept rolling with a lot of energy and bounced off the icy ramp toward vivillion.
"Rollout!" Dunsparce said giving a four times super effective attack as Vivillion was knocked to the ground.
"Vivillion!" Viola said as Vivillion was fully knocked down in lots of pain, groaning.
"Ngh... Ah..." Vivillion said as it tried getting up from laying on it's back before fainting as it has swirls on his eyes and got a brutal loss from Dunsparce's powerful rollout, Viola had no Pokemon left while Alex won!
"Vivillion is unable to battle. The winner goes to Dunsparce! And the winner of the gym challenge goes to the challenger: Alex!" The referee declared as Alex was confirmed the winner of the match without a single knockout!
"Alright! Way to go Dunsparce! You did it! You beat Vivillion and Surskit!" Alex said as Dunsparce stopped rolling and smiled.
"Thank you." Dunsparce said as Alex hugged him.
"Congratulations on defeating my sister, Alex." Alexa said, clapping and being happy for him.
"Thank you Alexa." Alex said nodding to her.
"So, He got the badge before me? Alright then." Ash said looking happy, Then he was down.
"Amazing Alex! He did it!" Bonnie said in joy. Alex won his first Kalos Gym Badge!
"So his ideas were paid off in the first place. I see." Clemont said pushing his glasses. Pidgey came out of his Pokeball in joy and delight on his face.
"Alright, Alex! You won!" Pidgey cried out in happiness.
"We did it!" Dunsparce said as Alex was taken down but in joy by none other than his pokemon.
"Good job both of you. You were amazing." Alex said looking at Pidgey and Dunsparce, Viola walked over to him as Alex got up.
"Well, you defeat me fairly. Good job Alex. As the gym leader of Santalune City I reward you, The Bug Badge. You're first step in entering the Kalos League." Viola said giving her the bug badge to Alex whom he smiled.
"Thanks Viola. That was clever on what you tried." Alex said claiming the bug badge. He then shook his hand with viola.
"No, No. You were clever, letting ash go in front to use strategies were a smart idea." Viola said as Alex was happy.
"Well. Thanks. You did prove too be good." Alex said, admitting it.
"Ah stop. You shown greatness. That's for sure." Alex said in embarassment. Clemont wanted to question him.
"Alex, That's-" Clemont said as Alex looked at them.
"I'll see you all outside Santalune's Gym." Alex said as they all looked at each other.
"Okay." They said as began to leave.
"Yeah. I want to talk about it when I see why." Alex said, making them understand.
"..." They all watched as Ash, Serena, Clemont and Bonnie left. Alex looked at Viola with concern.
"So, What do you want to talk about?" Viola said as Alex took out a photo, the same photo that resembled his family.
"I wanna know if you can help me." Alex said asking viola.
"With what?" Viola said in confusion.
"Can you find my family.. please?" Alex said as Viola looked at the picture in confusion.
"Hmm.." Viola said studying the photo.
"Anything?" Alex said as Viola sadly shook her head and gave it back to Alex.
"No.. Sorry. But this would be a great report to write about for Alexa." Viola said as Alexa came and checked on it.
"Ah. Alright. Thank you." Alex said as he began to leave.
"Not a problem." Viola said happily.
"I can surely write a strange report about that one." Alexa said as Alex left the gym with his first badge!
Outside The Santalune City Gym
"You did it!" Ash said in delight! His friend won!
"You're ideas and moves were clever!" Clemont said to Ash.
"You showed lots of strength and determination." Bonnie mentioned to Alex.
"Congratulations Alex!" Serena said as Alex was embarrassed.
"Thanks guys. I still can't believe I won." Alex said in amazement.
"Yeah, Your ideas were awesome! I like what you planned." Clemont said, noticing his ideas.
"Well. It's not all brain and brawn as you need them together." Alex said as he touched his brain.
"But you got your first step towards the Kalos League!" Ash said with joy.
"Thanks guys. I told you. Strategy when it comes to my mind." Alex said as they all headed to the Pokemon Center.
Santalune City Pokemon Center.
"Hmm. Hmmhmmhmm! It's such a beauty." Alex said looking at the badge before he put it in his case. When suddenly.
"Gust! Gust! Gust!" Noivern said as alex sighed annoyingly.
"Gosh, Ash. Really?" Alex said being very annoyed.
"Alright.. You guys are getting the hang of it." Ash said to his pokemon.
"So, Have you been training?" Alex said as he watched Ash and Alexa.
"Yes. Plenty. Thanks from watching you." Ash said as he continued from yesterday.
"So. Ash, When is it gonna be your chance?" Alexa said as Viola mentioned to Ash.
"Tomorrow. I am still open." Viola said, watching then leaving.
"Alright, Tomorrow. It's my turn." Ash said as he was gaining confidence.
"Alright Ash, work hard then." Viola said, leaving the pokemon center as Ash focused.
"Okay. Let's keep up!" Ash said to his pokemon.
"Alright, Once more. Gust!" Alexa said to her noivern who got another gust.
"Gust!" Noivern said as Pikachu and Fletchling hung on before being tossed back.
"Ngh! Whoa!" Pikachu and Fletchling as they were knocked back once more.
"Pikachu! Fletchling.. Ngh... Are you both okay?" Ash said to his pokemon that he caught.
"Yeah. Were fine." Pikachu said to his trainer.
"We're all good ash." Fletchling said as Ash began to think. How was he gonna get his first gym badge?
"Hey.. You can use this." Serena said, giving ash a handkerchief.
"Thanks. once again." Ash said to Serena.
