Hey everybody, I'm baaack~!

I got a little sick during January so this chapter, as well as my other plans, ended up coming in a tad bit later than I was expecting. Sooooo yeah that sucked: /

Luckily I finally managed to finish planning the rough drafts for my next two stories and I also rewrote a one shot I made!

Thanks to all of that, I can finally continue with the story.

Anyway I hope you all had a wonderful winter holiday and that none of you got sick. Please stay safe and take care of yourselves and your loved ones. I'm sorry this took longer than expected. Thank you guys for being so patient, I really appreciate it.

Writing this chapter was a blast for me so I hope all of you enjoy it!

Alluka and Goten made their way toward the forest, Goten in his usual orange gi and Alluka the outfit Chi-Chi had gotten her. The two children were running so fast that their feet kicked up a large amount of dust particles into the air.

"So where exactly is this cave again?" Alluka asked, making sure to follow her new friend as closely as possible. Goten turned to her and pointed a finger in front of him.

"It's about a mile ahead from here." He answered. "With how fast we're going, we shouldn't take too long. I'd say it's about five minutes. Just follow me and stay close!"

Alluka nodded as the two made sure to avoid obstacles in their way such as trees, boulders and even jumped over a small river. The way the wind rushed past her face made her feel so alive and energetic. It was almost surreal... It was this kind of experience that made being on a lower gravity world worth it.

"Hey Alluka?" Goten called her. Alluka looked back at him. "Where did you and your brother come from?".

"Oh…" Alluka became steeled herself, uncomfortable with what she was about to do. "We came from a place called, "Kukuroo Village."

"I've never heard of that place before. Where is it?"

"Umm... Well…"

Inside of her head, she heard what sounded like an exasperated sigh.

"I'll handle this."

Turning her head so as to not let Goten see her eyes blackening, Alluka immediately granted Nanika control. As the entity took over, they slightly stumbled while trying to adjust to the pace they were running at.

"Ah! Careful!" Goten cried out, lifting his hands in case Nanika needed catching. Nanika held 'their' hand up in assurance.

"I'm fine! Sorry about that Goten." it said, before responding to the previous question. "To be honest with you, I don't really know where it is exactly… Me and Killua left when I was too young to remember."

"Oh okay. How old were ya?"

"About four years old, give or take a few months." Nanika lied, not breaking a sweat. "Killua always had a thirst for adventure, but I was the only family member he had, so he decided to take me with him."

"Wow." Goten said, interested in Nanika's back-story. "You know, my big bro used to take me on adventures too!"

"Really? What a coincidence!" Nanika said, faking cheer in 'Their' voice. "What kind of places did you two go too?"

As Goten happily recounted the countless things he and his brother did, Nanika took this moment to communicate with their partner.

'Thanks for the help…' Alluka thought, slightly ashamed.

'It's alright.' Nanika shrugged, making sure to nod and half listen to Goten. 'I get that lying isn't your strong suit, so from now on, whenever we have to lie, I'll be the one to do it.'

'Thanks…' Alluka said, not really feeling any less relieved.

After all, making Nanika lie for her makes her feel like a burden.

"Hey Alluka?" Goten called out.

Nanika made sure to cover their eyes to make it seem that their eye color was darker due to the shade rather than an active possesion. "Yeah?" They responded.

"Umm… Why are you covering your eyes?"

"I want to hone my senses." Nanika explained, completely on the fly. "I saw Killua do it so I figured it wou- whoa!"

Nanika gasped as Goten pulled them out of the way. When Nanika uncovered their vision, they saw that they had nearly crashed into a tree.

"Be careful!" He cried out, worried.

'Now would be a good time for you to take the wheel.' Nanika stated, giving control back to Alluka. Alluka tripped and almost fell at the movement of her body. Once again, Goten was there to support her.

"Someone's clumsy today." Goten teased, making Alluka blush. "You should be glad Trunks isn't here. He'd be laughing his butt off!"

"Ye-yeah, sorry." Alluka stuttered before looking back at him. "Who's Trunks?"

"Oh!" Goten perked up. "I can't believe I forgot to tell you. Trunks is my best friend."

"Oh yeah?" Alluka said, finally glancing back at Goten. "Does he live nearby?"

"Oh no, he lives all the way in West City." Goten

"Oh okay. Is it far?"

"Yeah, but since I can fly it's a lot shorter than it normally would be." Goten bragged. He then perked up and pointed to a large structure of rocks. "Hey we're here!"

The two began to slow down from a sprint into a slow pace as they approached the entrance of the cave.

"Hey, if you want, I could show you how to fly!"

"Really?" Alluka said, excited at the idea.

"Yeah sure!" Goten confirmed, with a grin. "Maybe I could even ask Gohan to pitch in. He'd definitely explain it better than me!"

"Yeah! That sounds awesome!" Alluka cheered.

The two walked deeper into the cave, Alluka holding Goten's gi to make sure she doesn't get separated from him. Eventually, Goten slowed to a stop, causing Alluka to stop as well.

"Ok, so what are we gonna do?" Alluka asked. Goten turned to face her, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"Stay here, okay? I'm gonna go check out if this place is still empty." He turned around and began walking away. "I'll be right back. Yell if you need my attention."

"Ok." Alluka nodded, sitting down on the cold floor.

As Goten disappeared, into the distance, Nanika decided that this was a nice time for another lovely little chat.

'You do realize what this means, right?'

"H-huh?" Alluka said, not expecting the suddenness of their words. 'What do you mean?' Alluka thought back to her companion.

'Goten teaching you how to fly, silly!'

And that's when Alluka quickly remembered that flying would definitely require the use of aura. Something she had wanted to learn for ages.

Alluka's confused frown quickly turned into an enormous grin. If she could convince Goten, and then maybe Killua, She would finally learn how to use her nen!

She could only imagine how amazing it would be to finally use her own techniques, learn how to control her aura as well as learning how to friggin fly?!

Her eyes widened as she realized that she had overlooked one crucial detail.

'How are we going to convince Killua to let Goten teach us?'

'Oh that's easy.' Nanika said, smugly. 'We can always apply peer pressure by getting Chi-Chi and Goku to support us.'

Alluka frowned, seemingly bothered by the idea. "That seems a bit mean, doesn't it?"

"Oh come on." Nanika said, exasperated. 'Don't think of it as mean, think of it as… mischievous.'

Alluka remained silent, the idea not making her feel any better...

'Besides, if we convince him to let us learn the slower way, I'm sure it'll do a lot to help convince him.'

'You think so?'

'I'm sure.' Nanika assured. 'I think the problem is that he doesn't like the high risk of opening our nods forcefully like he and Gon did. He told us that, if Wing hadn't been that good a teacher, it wouldn't have gone so well for them.'

'Yeah.' Alluka said, nodding her head. 'It wouldn't hurt to try, I guess.'

'That's the spirit!'

Alluka began hearing footsteps getting closer, snapping her out of their private conversation. Goten was approaching her and gave a thumbs up.

"Okay, we're good. There's just a couple of insects." he informed before continuing. "Okay so here's what we'll do."

He took out a cloth that he had been wearing on his belt. "Here you go." He said, Alluka taking it from him. She stared down at it before looking back at him.

"We're gonna play a mix of hide and seek and tag!" He grinned. "You're gonna use that as a blind fold and try to locate me by listening to where I am."

"Oh! Okay." Alluka said, wrapping the cloth around her eyes tightly. Goten came to help her tie it when he saw her having trouble tying a knot.

"I'll set a timer for 20 minutes." He said, setting the clock. "Dad says I gotta work on my senses and ki control more too. So we're gonna be taking turns doing this. Three times each!"

"Sounds good to me." Alluka said. "By the way, what has Goku been doing anyway? Other than training my brother, he hasn't really been at the house a lot."

"He, um… Hasn't really told me either honestly!" Goten laughed, looking a tad bit nervous. Thankfully the blindfold kept Alluka from seeing the guilty look on his face. "But today he did mention that he was gonna train Killua a little longer than normal."

"Hmm, I wonder what he's teaching him…"

"Probably something really cool." Goten said, shrugging. His father knew a lot about martial arts, so there's really no telling what…

"Anyway," Goten said, getting back on track. "We should get started. That way we can go eat lunch after!"

"Ok" Alluka nodded, smiling.

'This should be fun.' She thought to herself.

Goten set the timer and let his thumb hover over the button. "ready?"

Alluka nodded, getting ready to walk.

"Ok. And..." A click was heard.

"START!"

Killua landed on the ground, having several light burn marks on him and blindfold firmly strapped around his eyes. He had no time to rest, as his aura picked up an energy sphere heading right toward him. Again, he narrowly avoided it by jumping to his left.

Only for it to come right back and slam into his back.

He grunted as he was launched forward, barely having time to slam his arms on the ground to make sure he didn't land on his face, before he sensed another attack rapidly approaching. Using his arms as a spring, he launched himself into the air, Front Flipping onto the ground before making a dash for it.

The energy sphere was behind him, following closely, never straying too far. Killua ducked, back flipped and did everything he could to avoid being hit by the beam.

Eventually, Killua covered his hand fully in his nen, turned around and struck the energy ball, causing an explosion. The shockwave sent him flying several meters away and caused him to land harshly on the ground.

Not wasting any time, he rolled out of the way quickly as something slammed into the ground, the force of which caused Killua to bounce into the air. This time, he managed to catch himself, landing on his feet, albeit sloppily.

"Nice dodge!" The figure cried out.

He knew the old man was holding back, and probably expected him to be able to avoid the attack. Still, it felt like a close call.

Goku shot out two energy beams directly at him, both of them moving faster than the other attacks he had thrown his way. Killua ducked under one, and sidestepped the other, both of them barely grazing his skin.

Following the source of energy, Killua charged forward, making sure to avoid the incoming attacks. As soon as he was within arm's length, he threw a punch.

Only for it to hit thin air.

Following Goku as closely as he could, he could sense that he had suddenly reappeared behind him, his movement so fast that he was unable to follow him. By the positioning of his aura, he was about to throw a kick.

Killua tried to block, but he simply wasn't able to keep up, and Goku's leg struck his ribs hard, sending him rocketing to the side.

He flew for a bit, before his body began to ascend into a crash landing and eventually coming to a slow stop.

Killua coughed, holding his side which stung in pain. He remained still, too disoriented and tired to even stand up.

Goku walked over to his pupil, a slight look of concern adorning his face as he kneeled down next to him. He placed a hand on his back, patting it lightly before trying to sense his injury with his ki.

"Oh man. Looks like I hit ya a little too hard." He said, finding out he had accidentally bruised his ribs by scanning him with his Ki. "Sorry Killua. Looks like I got a little too excited." Goku looked down, slightly ashamed at his loss of control. He reached to place his hand gently on Killua's ribs, letting his aura flow through the young boy's body as it healed him.

Killua waved it off. "I-it's fine." He groaned. "I've felt worse." He assured him.

Killua had gotten pretty roughed up in the last lesson as well. Goku, as such, had taken the chance to teach him how he was able to heal people. He told him that a friend of his, Dende, Had taught him how do it more effectively.

"Glad to hear." Goku said, sitting in a more comfortable position. "We've been at this for a while! I'd say it's time we headed back."

"Sure…" Killua sighed, feeling better, but still exhausted. "Just… Let me catch my breath, will ya?"

The two sat in silence, taking the calm sounds of nature. Killua breathing steadily and clearing his mind. He took the blindfold off his face and gingerly placed it in his right pocket. Sighing, He lied down on the grass and exhaled, exhausted.

He couldn't wait to get back to the house and eat.

"You know…" Goku broke the silence, "You're all really strong for your age! I've been aching to ask, who trained you guys?"

Killua saw no trouble in telling him. "First a guy named Wing, then another person named Bisky. They taught us a lot about aura."

"Cool! Can you tell me where they are? I'd love to meet them."

Killua shook his head. "Sorry, but I don't know where they are. Even if I did, Wing isn't that strong and Bisky is so old she retired." He explained, knowing that the first thing his mentor would do is challenge them to a fight.

Also, he couldn't help but send a jab at the old hag with his lie.

"Aww, that's a shame!" Goku said, bummed.

That did make him wonder though… With the lower gravity, how strong would Wing and Bisky be if they arrived here? Definitely stronger than him and Gon of course, but would they have a better chance at beating Goku?

Honestly, he doubted it.

If they were to fight him, they would do better than the two of them had, considering the amount of experience they had at honing their nen. They would definitely force Goku into using more of his power.

But something about Goku's just…

There was something hiding in there.

He couldn't tell what specifically, but it just felt like there was this overwhelming power deep within him.

But still, maybe if they were given enough time, they could probably develop a nen ability that might be able to give them an even better chance. Or maybe even beat him. Sort of like what he and Gon did during the chimera ant invasion.

Killua's eyes widened at the idea.

To stand a chance against Goku, maybe they could develop new nen abilities! Sure maybe they still wouldn't beat him, but it would give them a better chance. He'll have to tell Gon when he gets the chance.

After a few minutes, the two of them stood up, ready to head back.

"Alright! Time for some lunch." Goku cried out excitedly. Killua absolutely shared in his sentiment. "Ready to go?"

Sighing, Killua stood himself up. "Yeah, okay. I'm good."

Goku grabbed on to Killua and instantly teleported back to the house.

Alluka, her hands out in front of her, walked slowly around the cave, making sure not to crash into anything.

She followed the sound of Goten's footsteps, attempting to reach out and grab him. Suddenly, the footsteps stopped, but Alluka continued forward. She heard a loud tap just behind her. She stood still, waiting patiently for any footsteps, only for none to be heard.

Goten had promised that he wouldn't jump around or fly, so that they could only walk, as to make it easier on Alluka. As such, he revealed the first time that happened; it was because he had thrown a pebble to distract her as part of the test.

After continuing onward, eventually, Alluka's hand connected with fabric, and she took off her blinder

"Good job! You found me again." Goten grinned. Looking down at his watch, he nodded at Nanika. "We should have time for one more round. How do you feel?" He asked, stopping his watch.

"A lot more confident, honestly." Alluka said, not holding her grin. "And you said it gets easier after you discover your aura?"

"Yeah! You can use aura to sense the life force around you." Goten pulled a finger to his chin. "Gohan told me that it was sort of like… Oh! You know how bats can use echolocation?"

Alluka nodded, having been told that by Gon once, Goten continued.

"It's basically a better version of it. You can sort of feel how far and close your surroundings are by using your ki to interact with other things. That's how I can even use it to sense you!"

"Wow…" Alluka said awestruck. "I can't wait to do that…"

"You definitely will!" Goten assured. "Oh, got a little distracted, let's finish this up so we can get home and eat lunch!"

"Okay!" Alluka nodded, strapping the blind fold back on her eyes tightly.

A few beeps were heard as Goten reset the clock making it 10 minutes long so as to not miss his mother's beloved cooking. Alluka took a few deep breaths as she prepared herself.

"Okay…" Goten said, his finger on the start button, "Ready?"

Alluka nodded. "Ready!"

Goten began the countdown, "Three… Two… One…"

'Click'

"Start!"

Nothing happened immediately. Alluka stood still and waited for Goten to make a move. Eventually though, she began to hear the sound of footsteps beginning to echo around the cave.

Slowly, she made her way toward the sound, her footsteps careful but a bit quicker this time around than the last few.

During Goten's turns to wear the blindfold, the boy had always caught her relatively quickly when compared to her, so this time she wanted to impress him by doing the exercise faster, but still careful.

She heard the footsteps move to her left, to which she followed, her feet feeling a small rock that she managed to step over rather than hitting her toe with it.

Again.

For the third time.

Her hand barely made contact with some fabric before it scrambled away, giggling. She heard faster footsteps as Goten moved to a different area.

She let out a laugh herself while pacing toward him. While the exercise had been daunting, it definitely hadn't been boring. Alluka found herself enjoying this training session of theirs. Plus she could definitely feel her improvement over the last few days.

Alluka wondered how long she would have to train her senses for them to be good enough to let her fight blindfolded.

She had seen Killua and Gon spar that way but they were prodigies. The time they had spent training was probably far shorter than the time she would have to master such a feat. That said, Killua had mentioned that her potential was higher than most average people, so maybe it wouldn't take her nearly as long as she thought it would?

'I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it…' She thought to herself, redoubling her efforts to finding Goten before the time went out.

The two moved around the area, Goten occasionally throwing stones and almost disorienting her, but eventually, just before the time ran out…

"Gotcha!" Alluka cried out, triumphantly.

The timer sounded, and Alluka gleefully took the cloth off her face to see Goten smiling back at her.

"Alright! Good job Alluka! I think that was your fastest time yet!" He started, praising her. "Anyway, let's get back home, okay? I'm starving!"

"Okay!" Alluka nodded, following Goten out of the cave, and noticed the boy had a glint in his eye as he immediately began sprinting.

"Last one there's a rotten egg!" He laughed.

"What?!" Alluka cried out, shocked, before quickly sprinting herself. "Hey! No fair!"

She managed to close the gap between the two and the two children ran, both laughing their hearts out.

They made their way through the forest relatively quickly, through the same path they had traveled before. They were too excited to really say anything, too focused on outdoing the other. Secretly though, Goten was obviously going easy on her.

He was happy he could succeed in making her happy, considering how he had accidentally upset her the other time.

Just as they were about to approach the house, Goten made it seem like he had accidentally tripped, giving Alluka the perfect opportunity to steal the win for herself.

"ALRIGHT!" She cried out triumphantly, jumping in the air in celebration. She then ran back to Goten to check on him where he had face planted. "Oh! Are you okay Goten?" She asked worriedly.

He lifted his face off the ground and gave her thumbs up. "Don't worry about me! I'm fine!" He assured her, covered in dirt.

Alluka then proceeded to giggle. "NOW who's clumsy?" She teased, now that she knew for sure he was alright. Both of them proceeded to laugh as Alluka offered him a hand, to which he gladly took.

"Mom! We're back!" Goten cried out, as the two entered the house.

"Welcome back! Did you guys have fun?" Chi-Chi asked.

"Loads!" Goten confirmed, walking into the kitchen. "We had a race from the cave to here."

"I totally won." Alluka piped up, smugly.

"Did you, now?" Chi-Chi asked, amused. "Well, good work. Looks like someone needs to step up his training~." She said, teasing her son. She was busy cooking a larger banquet than usual, already having multiple dishes setup on the plate.

"Who's the extra chow for mom? Is dad gonna be having lunch with us?" Goten asked, and Alluka jumped to help with organizing some of the plates.

"That's right dear. Your brother is also coming to visit, so can you get the mini table from the cabinet please?"

"Wow, okay!" Goten quickly made his way toward where the cabinet was, and began searching for the mini table. "When's he coming?"

"They shouldn't take too long now. I'm sure they'll be here before I finish all this up." She informed her son.

Goten managed to pull out a small, capsule-like object from the cabinet. After closing it, Goten turned to Alluka.

"Hey Alluka! Wanna see something cool?"

Alluka looked at him questioningly before nodding.

"Okay, back up a bit. You're gonna love this!"

Alluka did as she was told, and backed up to the entrance of the kitchen. Goten took a few steps back himself before softly tossing the capsule on the floor, only for it to explode in smoke. Alluka fell backwards in shock, gasping for air.

As soon as the smoke dissipated, there stood a table, nearly identical to the first but instead of brown, it had a white surface.

Goten giggled as he went to Alluka's side to help her out. "Pretty cool right?"

"Ye-yeah…" Alluka said, smiling while gasping lightly. She laughed once the shock wore off. "What is that? It's so amazing!"

"It's called a capsule." Goten explained. "These little objects have the ability to transform into just about anything you can think of! They're usually made for traveling convenience."

"Cool!" Alluka said, touching the capsule table. "Who invented these things, anyway?"

"Capsule Corporation."

Alluka turned to Goten. Seeing her clueless expression, which made Goten elaborate.

"Capsule Corp is said to be the world's greatest when it comes to engineering and science. Trunks' mom runs the place!"

"Whoa! They must be really rich!"

"They sure are!" Goten confirmed. "I've been there a few times myself. Trust me when I say that Trunks basically has a goldmine of toys and games. You'd never get tired!"

"Wow…" Alluka said, impressed.

As the two children went back to helping Chi-Chi, Alluka wondered if this, 'Capsule Corp', was richer than her family. If that was the case, she'd REALLY be impressed!

The three made small talk all through out the time they spent organizing everything. Eventually, just as they were close to finishing, Goku and Killua suddenly appeared in the middle of the room, Alluka yelping as she fell backwards in surprise.

"Yo guys! We're back!" Goku announced.

"Hey dad! Hi Killua." Goten greeted the two, giving his father a hug. Goku gave Goten a pat on the back while Killua just raised a hand in greeting.

"Hi, big bro." Alluka greeted, also hugging her brother.

"Hey sis. Have fun?" Killua smiled, rubbing her sister's head as he hugged her back. Alluka responded with a nod before pulling away. "Did we scare ya?" He teased her.

"I wasn't expecting you guys to come into the house that way…" Alluka puffed her cheeks, shyly.

"You get used to it, dear." Chi -Chi said, having seen it several times already. "Hello boys. Make sure to clean up before lunch." Chi-Chi instructed.

"Okay!" Goku said, taking off his orange shirt while heading toward his room, while Killua began making his way toward the shack.

"And don't take too long! Gohan, Videl, and Gon are coming to join us and the food is almost finished." She cried out, remembering to tell them.

Killua peeked his head back into the building after having exited the door."Gon's coming?" He asked, interested at the thought in seeing his friend again.

"That's right." Chi-Chi confirmed.

"Cool! Maybe we can all train together after we're done." Goten suggested.

"Sure. Sounds good." Killua smiled as he nodded, before he proceeded to head back to the shack.

"You said Gon was really good with animals, right? After we're done training, I can show you my dinosaur friend if you want!" Goten asked, quickly trning his attention to Alluka.

"Yeah! Let's do that!" Alluka beamed, stoked about seeing a real life dinosaur. "What was her name again?"

"Oh, I call her Tera!" Goten said, reminding her fondly, "She's really nice! But be careful when you play with her, okay?" He warned, his expression serious for a moment, "Her parents are pretty overprotective."

"I promise." Alluka assured, nodding her head.

The rest of the dinner was cooked, and in a matter of minutes, Goku and Killua soon came back into the dining hall. Under Chi-Chi's guidance, everyone pitched in and helped to place everything on both tables.

Just as they had finished, they heard someone knocking at the door.

"That must be them." Chi-Chi noted. She went to the door followed by the three children. "Don't start without us, Goku!" She said, seeing his longing expression to subsist. Goku jumped and rubbed the back of his head bashfully.

Opening the door, Chi-Chi gave a warm smile as she saw her son, roping him into a gentle hug. "Hello Gohan." She greeted her son warmly.

"Hey mom." Gohan said, returning the hug, turning his head to Goten. "Hey bro! Long time no see!"

"Hi Gohan! Hey Videl!" Goten greeted cheerfully, coming to hug Gohan's leg. Gohan placed a hand on his younger brother's head and patted it affectionately. Videl came in and wrapped her arm around Goten's head.

"Good to see you! Looks like you've grown a bit since the last time we saw you!" Videl observed.

They pulled away shortly after and Chi-Chi approached Videl, who hugged her as gently as she had her son, "Hello Videl, How are you?"

"Hey Chi-Chi, I'm all right!" She responded, returning the hug eagerly, "How are you?"

"I'm good, thank you." Videl moved slightly to the left to let Gon pass, the young boy reuniting with Killua and Alluka.

"I managed to bring over some extra food." Videl said, gesturing toward the plastic bags on each of her and Gohan's shoulders, "Figured we might need it."

"Oh yes, we definitely will." Chi-Chi acknowledged, exasperated. She dreaded the dishes that would likely take most of the evening to wash...

"Killua! Alluka!" Gon cried out, enveloping the two in a crushing embrace, spinning the two of them in the air. Alluka giggled excitedly, latching onto Gon, while Killua simply let himself be spun around.

Everyone finished greeting each other and all of them slowly made their way toward the kitchen. While Gohan and Videl greeted Goku Killua took the chance to introduce Goten to his best friend.

"Nice to meet you Gon!" Goten said, holding out for a handshake.

"Yeah! Nice to meet you too." Gon eagerly returned the handshake, "So you and Chi-Chi trained Alluka?" He asked, happy to see that Alluka managed to make a friend her own age, besides Nanika.

"Yeah!" He confirmed, turning his head toward Alluka, "We had a lot of fun too! After dinner, I'm gonna take her to see my dinosaur friend!"

"She's called Tera!" Alluka announced.

"Whoa, really?! Cool! Can we come with you guys?" Gon asked, putting an arm around Killua's shoulder.

"Sure! The more the merrier." Goten happily invited them.

Everyone finally sat down and, after a quick prayer, began eating.

"So, how's Gon's training been Gohan?" Goku asked, right before swallowing a comically large chicken leg.

"He's progressing a lot faster than I expected!" Gohan said, devouring a bowl of egg fried rice within a matter of milliseconds. "His control over his aura is a lot better than when we first met. His skill has grown a lot too!"

"He used the Ja-janken on you before, right Goku?" Videl asked. Upon seeing Goku's nod, she continued. "Well he showed us the two other variants of it as well. Rock was a charged up punch, and Scissors summons a really cool ki blade that can cut stuff apart!"

"Wow! That's some impressive control you have!" Goku said, impressed. "Maybe after dinner you can show it to me! I'd love to see it before I head off."

"Sure!" Gon said, happy to show off his progress. His eyes' widened as he remembered something important that he wanted to discuss. "Oh yeah! Goku, would it be alright if me, Killua, and Alluka have the last week to train together? I want to develop a strategy to beat you."

Killua and Alluka turned to Gon, both of them not expecting the idea. Goku grinned and nodded. "Sure! It's always good to prepare for a battle against a stronger opponent. You guys can get together for the final week."

"Thanks!"

Killua nodded at his friend approvingly. With the week they were given, it would be more than enough time to develop several strategies to go up against Goku. Not only that, but this would also give them the perfect chance to develop their nen!

´Wait… What about Alluka? ´ He thought to himself.

No doubt that his younger sister would definitely try to goad them into letting her learn nen, something Killua wasn't quite sure she was ready for. She had become stronger over the past few weeks, and was absolutely more talented than most children her age, that was certainly the case…

But he still thinks that she needed a bit more training…

Suddenly, as if reading his mind, Alluka spoke. "If you guys train me up a bit more, you could teach me aura! Right, big brother?"

"Oh, um…" Killua stammered, "After some training, yeah. I guess we could try."

"Yeah!" Alluka said, excitedly. "I can't wait to learn how to fly!"

Seeing Killua's concerned face, Alluka quickly remembered what she and Nanika had talked about previously. "I heard meditating helps with activating your ki, right?"

She made sure to be careful with how she worded it. From what she was able to observe along with her travelling companions, Ki worked very differently than Nen. So far however, she was able to notice that both could become stronger through meditation. She didn't mention the other way just to be sure... Who knew if ki could be activated using the method Gon and Killua had.

Killua saw that Alluka had attempted to appease his worry by offering the slower route of obtaining aura, all the while making sure to not give away other methods of obtaining Nen. He smile at his sister's kindness and inteligence before anwsering.

"Yeah, it does. The more you meditate, and are able to concentrate on drawing your aura out, the stronger it becomes."

"It also becomes stronger when you fight!" Goku said, inserting himself into the conversation.

"Really? How so?" Alluka asked, curious as to how it would help.

"When you fight, your aura subconsciously enhances the parts of your body that you use to block, punch, kick etc." Gohan chimed in. " It's a method of forcing your aura to grow stronger. Letting it absorb stronger attacks makes it stronger, similarly to a muscle. It's also a good way to learn how to control the distribution of your aura to different parts of the body. You might even be able to feint an attack on an opponent who can see ki. By sending more aura straight to your fist, you could fake a punch and then surprise your opponent by actually doing, say... a kick. Or a punch with your other fist."

"Whoa! That's really cool but..." Alluka's eyes were wide at the explanation, having never quite thought of it that way. "What does 'distribution' mean?" she asked, being the only part she didn't get. Goten also looked at his brother for an explanation.

"Distribution is the way in which something is shared in between different entities or objects. Like, for example, cereal being poured onto different plates for separate people." Gohan explained, patiently.

"Oh, okay!" Alluka responded, nodding her head before turning to her companions, quickly remembering what her and Goten talking about. "By the way, have you two learned how to fly yet?"

"Yeah!" Gon confirmed. "Gohan taught me."

"Learned it the first week we started training with them." Killua said, smugly.

"Wow…" Alluka sighed in wonder. "Can all of you fly?" She asked everyone else at the table, besides Goten, who had already told her.

Everyone except for Chi-Chi confirmed that they were able to fly. Upon seeing her questioning look, Chi-Chi explained.

"I prefer driving. No real reason, just a preference. Plus it helps with groceries."

Alluka supposed that made sense. Although she probably should learn how to fly anyway just in case she was ever in danger.

"What does flying feel like?"

"Oh. Well…" Gohan pondered, trying a way to describe it. "It kind of feels like… Something is pushing you to wherever you wanna go. But it's a really light push, even when you're flying really fast."

"Yeah! It's weird." Goten noted. "Like, you'd think that the faster you fly, the harder the push would feel right?"

"It is what it is, I guess." Gohan responded.

Eventually, everyone managed to clean their plates, leaving a large stack of things to clean up near the sink.

"We'll help you mom." Gohan said, Videl already getting started on a bowl.

"That was GREAT Chi-Chi!" Goku laughed, patting his belly. "Hey Gon! How about showing me that technique?"

"Sure! Let's go!" Gon confirmed, heading out the door.

"Hang on! I want to see it too!" Alluka cried out, as she and Goten made their way out the door, closely following Gon and Goku. Killua went along with them, not too far behind.

After Goku leaves, he'll make sure to talk to Gon about what they will do during their training week.

And that's it for this chapter! Next time we're going to get to see Goten's dino buddy. The kids will also be doing a bit of training too.

Gon and Killua have a good opportunity to come up with some kind of plan to face the indomitable might of Goku.

I really like writing the two of them together and I can't wait until I complete the next chapter. In my opinion, it's one of the best friendships I've seen in anime and manga so far because of just how well the two boys balance each other out.

Now, I'm sure you all probably already know that, while the kids have gotten stronger, Gon and Killua especially, There's no way in hell that they're gonna be able to beat Goku.

That said, I do have something in mind that should make the fight much more interesting…

Also, I want to know if I did a good job writing Chi-Chi. What do you guys/girls think of my portrayal of her?

I'm not gonna lie, I really dislike Chi-Chi's character in the original source material. I'm trying not to let bias cloud my mind and give her a chance.

Let me know what you guys think and I'll see y'all in the next chapter of,

Dragon Hunter ZX!
