"Please… help… us…" Said unknown voices while the D-Team were holding their Dino Holders and glowing.
"Please… help… us…" The voices continued saying. "How… How can we help?" Max asked.
"Can you tell us who you are?" Rex asked but there was no answer.
"They must not be able to hear what we're saying." Zoe guessed as the voices didn't respond to anything the kids were saying. Spike walked closer to the kids and after a while, their glow disappeared leaving them with a lot of questions. "Hey kids, is there a problem with your Dino Holders?" Spike asked.
"Dad! It's talking to us!" Max replied as Chomp shook his head.
-Cue intro theme-
Somewhere in Alberta, Canada, there was an excavation going on at a fossil dig site. Paleontologists were dusting off a fossil of a Parasaurolophus and others were digging near the fossil to see if they could find other remains of the fossil. They continued digging until one of the paleontologists found something interesting.
"What's this?" He said.
"Did you find something?" Another person asked.
"Yeah, these two eggs but they look more like capsules than fossilized eggs." He replied.
"Wait, didn't Dr. Owen say to report any strange-looking 'eggs'?" The other person said. "You're right, let's report this to him right away." He said.
In a tent not too far from the dig site, was the head of the dig site, Dr. Robert Owen. He had dirty blonde hair, a beard, and a mustache. He wore a European flat cap, glasses, an aquamarine shirt with a brown vest on top, dark brown pants, yellowish-white socks that when up to his knees, and 18th-century-styled shoes. He was working on something when his assistant Patrick Hernandéz came in to tell him something. "Dr. Owen! We found something that will interest you." He said.
Patrick was a Mexican man who was Dr. Owen's assistant. He had brown hair and a goatee. He wears a mango sombrero with triangular patterns, a beige-colored poncho over a light-blue casual shirt, blue pants, and brown shoes. "What is it, Patrick?" Dr. Owen asked.
"It was some 'eggs' that looked like capsules, they said you might find it interesting." Patrick replied showing him the eggs.
"Yes, they're indeed correct." Dr. Owen said, taking the eggs from Patrick and placing them on a table. "If these eggs are what I think they are, then I need to inform Dr. Taylor of the D-Lab about them." Dr. Owen open the eggs and each one had two cards inside of them. "Huzzah! They're exactly what I expected!" Dr. Owen said excitedly.
"Are those cards with pictures of dinosaurs on them?" Patrick asked.
"Yes, yes they are my dear assistant." Dr. Owen replied. "Now, get the computer ready I need to report this finding to Dr. Taylor."
"Sí, Señor." Patrick said and walked out of the tent. Dr. Owen looked at the two dinosaur cards he discovered. "Hmm… can dinosaurs really be turned into cards?" He asked himself.
Meanwhile, at the D-Lab…
The D-Team headed back to the D-Lab to try and figure out what the kids heard when they received their Dino Holders. "It was asking you for help?" Dr. Taylor asked.
"Yeah, do you think maybe it was the dinosaurs trying to speak with us through the stone?" Rex asked.
"Hmmm… it's a definite possibility, they could be asking for protection from those Alpha Gang folks you came up against." Dr. Taylor replied.
"I wonder who they were?" Max asked.
"Me too! They attacked Chomp with their T-Rex for some reason, and then when Chomp gave it an Electric Charge, it turns into a card." Rex said.
"Hey, that's a good name for that move!" Max said to Rex.
"None of it makes any sense at all!" Zoe said.
Meanwhile, Chomp was getting ready to charge at a fossil of a Placerias. He jumped on top of it and began chewing loudly on the bones of the fossil. "I betcha they found some stones too, huh?" Max said. "Yeah, probably." Rex replied.
"Zoe!" Said a feminine voice coming from upstairs in the lab. The voice belonged to Reese. "You're supposed to call before stopping by." She said
"Oh, I forgot." Said Zoe. "That's all right." Reese replied.
"Dr. Taylor you have a phone call coming in from Dr. Owen." Reese said turning her attention to Dr. Taylor. "My dad?" Rex asked.
"I'm always losing that thing!" Dr. Taylor said chuckling while rubbing the back of his head. He then connected his phone to a larger screen to get a better view of his colleague.
"Ahh! Hello, Dr. Owen! Dug up anything new?" Dr. Taylor greeted the blonde man.
"I found a funny bone… HAHAHA! What's all the fossil about?" He said as he put both his thumbs up. "Hmhmhm! Dinosaur jokes." Dr. Taylor replied. "What made di-no-saurs ex-tinct? Not ta-king a bath we think! Dig it?" They both sang while doing a goofy dance as Max, Rex, and Zoe groaned in embarrassment. "Anyway, Dr. Owen, What can I do for you?" Dr. Taylor asked.
"It's about the dinosaur cards you were telling me about before." Dr. Owen replied. "Yes?" Dr. Taylor asked.
"More cards have been found." Dr. Owen said. "What?!" said the three kids at once.
"I'm calling from a dinosaur excavation site in Alberta, Canada. And while we came across several fossils, including one of a Parasaurolophus on our dig, we also discovered two more cards." Dr. Owen explained as he held up two dinosaur cards.
"Carnotaurus!" Rex said.
"And a Parasaurolophus!" Zoe said.
"The Carnotaurus card has a wind symbol!" Rex said as Dr. Owen flipped the card. He also did it with the other one. "And the Parasaurolophus card has grass!" Zoe said.
"Ahh! Rex! You're there too!" Dr. Owen said noticing his adoptive son. "I've been here." Rex said. "How is life in Japan? Isn't Japanese food delicious? Especially grilled Pacific saury." Dr. Owen said as he got closer to the screen.
"Dad forget about that, send those cards to us ASAP." Rex said.
"Don't worry, I plan to. I would like to research them myself, but I don't have the stones here." Dr. Owen said. "So, I look forward to hearing your analysis, Dr. Taylor." He said as Chomp walked over to Max yawing and scratching the back of his frill like a dog.
"It'll be my pleasure, Dr. Owen." Dr. Taylor said while Chomp bit Max on the leg. "Ouch!" Max said as he fell down with Chomp jumping on top of him.
"Thank you for taking care of Rex. And Rex, you're very lucky to be staying with Dr. Taylor, you can learn a lot from him so pay close attention and work hard." Dr. Owen said.
"Yeah. I will." said Rex.
"I got to get back to the dig now, I'll send the cards out right away. Call if you need anything." Dr. Owen said. "Thank you." Said Dr. Taylor as Chomp continued to bite Max as he tried to get the small Trike off him. "Stop biting me, Chomp! Please! Aah!" He said as Rex and Zoe looked over in his direction.
"Those cards match the marking on our stones. You know what that means?" Rex asked her. "Yeah, you and I might have our own dinosaurs by tomorrow." Zoe replied.
"Awesome!" Rex said excitedly.
"I hope I get a really cute one." Zoe said.
"I'm so envious. I want a dinosaur partner too!" Dr. Taylor said, jealous that he didn't have a dinosaur partner of his own. He went over to where the Dino Holders were and grabbed them. "I need one of these!" He said as he began fidgeting with the devices trying to figure out how to work them.
"Umm… Dad?" Max said embarrassingly with Chomp on his head.
"The stones have chosen Max and the others because they interacted with them first. So, try to get a hold of yourself." Reese explained to Dr. Taylor while she was carrying some thick books. "I know, I will." He said disappointed.
"Hey, what are those huge books you got?" Zoe asked her sister.
"They're Dino Holder manuals." Reese replied.
"Do we really need a manual?" Max complained.
"Yes." Reese said as she held Dr. Taylor's wrist and twisted it while he cried out in pain.
"Okay! I give up!" He shouted as Reese let go and grabs the Dino Holder from him. "They're to be used for more than just swiping your cards. There's a carrier that holds the stone and extra cards as well." She explained.
"It was a lot of work making them so read the manual thoroughly." Reese said tossing the kids one manual each.
"This will take forever to read" Zoe complained.
"Maybe you and Dad could show us how to use them?" Max asked.
"Hey, you might like to spend your whole time studying, but some of us like to do fun stuff too! Maybe you should try it sometime!" Zoe ranted to her sister.
Max turned his attention to his father. "So, Dad, what's going on I thought you said we were gonna keep Chomp and the cards a secret from everyone. Did you change your mind and tell every paleontologist in the world about it?" Max asked.
"Relax, Dr. Owen is the only other person who knows besides us. He is my colleague after all and I've learned a lot from him. I thought he'd be helpful in studying this case." He explained.
"You're forgetting that we and my Dad aren't the only ones who know about the cards." Rex said.
"Huh? Who else knows?" Dr. Taylor asked.
"Remember, the Alpha Gang!" Said Max.
Meanwhile, on an island somewhere…
Back on a mysterious island, the Alpha Gang was in a laboratory. Dr. Z was working on some kind of experiment with the help of Zander and Ed. There were different colored tubes with some chemicals and other stuff inside of them. "So, let me get this straight." Dr. Z began. "You're saying three kids got a hold of one of my dinosaur cards and move cards?! And you three lost to them?!" He barked at the trio for failing their first mission.
"Well, actually, only one of those kids had the card and move card." Ursula said. "And we only lost because Terry was shot with this, causing him to lose energy." She said as she showed Dr. Z the dart that cost them the battle.
"Yeah, Dr. Z honest, Terry was winning the battle until that kid used Electric Charge and defeated Terry." Ed said from the computer with Rod Laura, and Lexi next to him.
"Give me that!" Dr. Z said grabbing the dart from Ursula. He heard growling behind him as Terry looked at the dart angrily. "So, that kid got his hand on the lightning stone. No matter, when my new move card is complete I will take it upon myself to make those kids cry." He said with a sinister smile.
"Uh… Grandpa, I think the energy levels are too high." Laura said as she noticed how brightly the tubes were glowing.
"Huh?" Dr. Z said
"She's right." said Lexi looking at Ed's computer screen.
"And with the way we put this equipment together, it could blow any minute." Rod said.
"That's not the only thing that's gonna blow…" Zander said checking the chemicals in the tubes on a tablet he was holding.
"Augh! Quite you fools! Move cards are my specialty, and we'll need them to get back those cards those kids stole from me!" Dr. Z began ranting as the tubes were glowing brighter and steaming. Seth was leaving the lab knowing what was about to occur. "Since my 'A-Team' was unsuccessful in bringing them back!" Dr. Z finished ranting.
"Okay, Grandpa, I got some homework to do." Laura said leaving the lab.
"Me too." Said Rod following his sister.
"Yeah, me three." Said Lexi leaving as well.
The tubes began sparking with electricity which scared the Alpha Trio. "Ummm… Dr. Z don't you think we should-." Ed began worryingly saying but Dr. Z interrupted him. "Do not shut it off! My invention is almost complete." He said laughing.
But then, the entire thing explodes sending Dr. Z and the trio to the back wall of the lab all scorched and burned, most of their clothes also burning away. They fell to the floor as Terry ran around. "Doctor! What is all this ruckus?" Helga said entering the room, which made Dr. Z jump. "Please clean this up before dinner time, or there will be no dinner time!" She demanded as Dr. Z sighed.
Meanwhile, in Egypt…
In Giza, Egypt, the three great pyramids can be seen along with the Great Sphinx. People from across the world come here to witness these magnificent structures. Somewhere north of the pyramids were some objects in the sand, an opened egg capsule and a stone with a symbol of water droplets engraved into it. There was also a card that got blown away by the wind into the city. The card landed on the floor by a table as two people got up from it causing one of their drinks to spill onto the card. The card began glowing blue as a Spinosaurus emerge from the card.
It was grayish with some purple coloring running along its neck down to its tail, and on its sail was a mix of light bluish and purplish hues. It roared as it scared people away and sniffed the air.
Back at the island…
Terry, Dr. Z, and the Alpha Trio were in the dining room eating their meals that Helga had prepared. Dr. Z was hiding his vegetables under the plate when the Alpha Scanner started beeping. "Oh! The Alpha search signal." Dr. Z said grabbing the device.
"Dr. Z, no electronics at the dinner table." Helga said to him. "I know that but I can't eat at a time like this, one of my missing cards has been located." He said.
"Ursula, Zander, and Ed. We're off on a capture mission!" Dr. Z said to the trio. "Yes sir!" They all replied.
"No, you're not!" Hegla said to the group. "If you have not finished your meal, you are not permitted to leave this table."
"Right." Dr. Z said sheepishly. "And don't think you're fooling anyone Doctor, I can see those vegetables you have hidden under your plate." Hegla said to Dr. Z. "Aah!" Dr. Z said.
"They're… they're not mine, uh… they're Ed's." Dr. Z tried explaining as Terry finished his meal and left the room.
"I wasn't asking." Helga said as she forced-fed Dr. Z with him screaming.
Meanwhile, at Max's house…
The Taylor family and Rex all sat at the dinner table eating their meals. Chomp was also there eating from a dog bowl. "Dr. Taylor, do you have any idea when the cards are gonna get here?" Rex asked Max's father.
"Well, Your dad said he'd ship them 'double express,' which means they'll arrive sometime tomorrow morning. Uh, give or take." Spike replied.
"Man, I can hardly wait." Rex said as Max threw some of his vegetables into Chomp's bowl. "I might have a partner of my own soon!" He said excitedly.
"What do you mean by 'partner'?" Max's mother asked.
"Ah, right, well Rex is thinking about getting a dog just like Chomp, isn't that right, Rex." Spike said.
"Yep, well maybe." Rex said laughing a bit nervously.
"So then, well have two dogs?" Aki said. "Will that be alright dear?" Spike asked his wife. "Yes, but like I told Max, remember who's taking care of them." She replied.
"I know." Rex said.
Aki turned her head to Max and was surprised by what she saw. "I don't believe it. Max, you ate all your green peppers and carrots."
"Yeah, you made the vegetables extra especially good Mom. So, I'm gonna have some more, if that's okay with you. Pass the broccoli, please!" Max said as he winked at Chomp.
"My goodness." Aki said, then Max's cell phone rang and he pulled it out. "No cell phones at the dinner table."
"I know, it's Zoe, I'll take it over here." Max said getting up from the table and answering the call. "Hey, Zoe what's up?"
"Go turn on the news hurry!" Zoe said.
"The news? Uhh…" Max said confused reaching for the remote to turn on the TV. When he turn it on there was a news report on a Spinosaurus that was walking around Egypt while people were running and screaming.
"Another dinosaur?! And this time, it's a Spinosaurus!" Spike said as he got in front of the TV.
"This just in, we've just received this footage from Egypt near the 3 famous pyramids of Giza, where what appears to be a real dinosaur walking around earlier today." The news lady said. Max and his Dad were shocked by the news. "No! Aw!" They both said. Rex got closer to the TV. "In Egypt?" He said. Max and Rex then heard a sound coming from their Dino Holders. They pulled it and saw a map of Egypt with a red dot blinking near the Nile River. "What's this light?" They asked. "Hundreds of tourists were forced to flee the scene, unfortunately, there have been 20 reported injuries, with 3 being fatal." She said as the Spinosaurus lunged at the camera with a second of screaming in the background before the footage cut to static. "Mike…? Mike…?! Uh, and now a word from our sponsor." The news lady said trying her best to sound professional.
"What's going on?" Aki said from the background. "Oh, nothing dear it's just… uh…" Spike tried coming up with an excuse. "...An animal broke out of the zoo and is causing chaos in Egypt." He said rubbing the back of his head.
"Oh my, sounds terrible. I hope they're able to catch it." Aki said worriedly.
"Yes, uh… I just remember I have some things to finish back at the lab, and I'm going to need Max and Rex's help. So, will be right back." Said Spike.
"Okay, don't stay out too late." Aki said as she picked up the dishes.
"We won't. Come on kids." Spike said as the group went out the door.
At the D-Lab…
Dr. Taylor and the two boys arrived at the D-Lab with Reese and Zoe already there. They began planning on how to get to Egypt. Dr. Taylor was on the phone seeing if he could catch a flight there. "What?! There are no flights out until tomorrow morning?! Look, you've got to help me I must get to Egypt right away!" Dr. Taylor said desperately to the person on the phone.
Meanwhile, Reese and the kids were trying to figure out what the beeping on the Dino Holder meant. "Hey, is there anything in the manual about the Dino Holder lighting up like this?" Max asked.
"Does that mean you haven't read it?" Reese said.
"I did, the whole thing." Rex said.
"How? You must have skipped some and gone right to the end." Max said.
"No! I didn't!" Rex said to Max.
"I know how, most of these pages are totally blank. What's the deal, Reese?" Zoe asked as she flipped through her manual. "There's still so much about the cards and stones that we've yet to understand. So, every time we make a new discovery, We'll add it to your manual." Reese responded.
"Too much time on your hands." Zoe commented.
"Well, that's interesting. The Dino Holder seems to be in sync with the map." Reese said as she typed on the computer where the Dino Holder was plugged into. "Look Egypt is glowing." said Rex.
"That's where Spinosaurus appeared." Zoe said.
"So, that must mean this thing was telling us when a dinosaur appeared." Max said.
"That's exactly right," Reese said.
"No way, Incredible!" Dr. Taylor said from behind the chair Reese was sitting in.
So, what now? There's really nothing we can do about it from here." Zoe said. "Well now, this is peculiar." Reese said.
"What?" They all questioned.
"These lines are connecting the Dino Holders to the dinosaur's location." Reese said as a bunch of lines were homing in on Egypt. "Could it possibly be…?" She said.
Out in the Egyptian desert…
The Alpha Gang was inside one of their flying vehicles flying over the desert looking for the dinosaur. "How are we supposed to find a dinosaur out in such a large desert?" Ursula complained.
"Well, we should probably find an oasis since most desert animals tend to hang out there." Zander suggested.
"But, by the time we find it the dinosaur could have wandered off somewhere." Ed said.
"Hmm… Then our next best bet would be a town or city." Zander said.
"Well occurring to that news report it was somewhere near the pyramids." Ursula said when something shiny caught her eye. "Hey, what's that?" She said as Terry yawned in front of where she was sitting.
"Huh?" Zander and Ed said.
"Come on land this thing, I want to know what it is" Ursula said. "Okay, okay." Both Zander and Ed said.
Zander and Ed landed the ship where Ursula saw the shiny object. The trio, along with Terry, got out of the ship and walked over to the spot.
"Oh, hey, it's the water stone! I found the water stone!" Ursula said excitedly. "That's great, but we still need to find the dinosaur." Zander said. "Yeah, but where could it be?" Ed asked.
"Let's try looking for it near the pyramids." Ursula said as she went over to Terry and squatted near him to pet him. "You ready Terry? Remember what we talked about." She said, but Terry was getting annoyed by the constant petting and bit Ursula's head as she screamed.
With their ship in the air, the A-Team began searching for Spinosaurus near the pyramids. Ursula had bandages around her head from Terry's bite.
"Aha! There you are." Zander said spotting Spinosaurus. "Huh? Ed said.
"Come on, quit being so stubborn." Ursula scolded Terry who was wearing a small parachute as he glances back at Ursula. "Go on, get out there!" She said kicking Terry, but he bit her in the head again as she screams. Terry then jumped out of the ship as the parachute opened, Helping him land softly on the ground below. "You can do it, Terry! Go get that Spinosaurus, now!" Ursula said summoning Terry in his full size.
Terry approached the Spinosaurus as it roared at him. He roared back at it as he charged at Spinosaurus and bit down on its neck, dragging it through the sand. Spinosaurus tried to get free from Terry's grip as it got back up from the sand with its arms. After a while, Spinosaurus finally was able to get loose from Terry's grip. It roared at Terry and snapped at him, but he was able to dodge the attack.
Back at the D-Lab…
Meanwhile, the D-Team was getting ready to test out a new teleporter. "You really think you can teleport us to where ever the dinosaurs are, Reese?" Max asked.
"I believe the dinosaur search function and the transport function work together. Now we just need to do a test run" Reese replied while Dr. Taylor was placing bags and equipment on the teleportation platform.
"Is that dangerous?" Zoe asked unsurely. "You'll be fine. Probably." Reese said as Zoe groaned not believing her sister. "All of the technology is in here. So, push the button and you'll be transported to Egypt." She explained.
"You can't go without me, I'm a paleontologist, a dinosaur expert could come in handy out there." Dr. Taylor said to the kids. "Great, let's go!" Max said. "Yes!" Dr. Taylor said squatting so he could fit. Max then pushed a button on his Dino Holder and disappeared leaving Rex, Zoe, and Dr. Taylor behind.
"Huh?" Dr. Taylor said dumbfounded.
"Wow, He's gone!" Rex said.
"So, it only works on Max and Chomp." Zoe said
"Note to self, only those with a dinosaur and a stone can be transported." Reese said as she wrote in her notebook.
"Darn it, I wanted to go!" Dr. Taylor said disappointed.
Back in the desert…
Max arrived in the desert of Egypt where he saw Terry and Spinosaurus fight. "Augh! It's the Tyrannosaurus from last time!" Max said.
The Spinosaurus seemed to be getting tired from the fighting. It roared at Terry and lunged at him using its claws on its hand to scratch Terry in the face. He retaliated by charging at the Spino knocking it to the ground with it landing close to where Max was. He panicked, afraid of being crushed by the dinosaur. However, It glowed blue before turning back into a card.
"Look Chomp, the Spinosaurus card." Max said.
"That's not yours!" Zander said speaking through a loudspeaker in their ship. Then a retractable claw came out of the ship and landed on the card to pick it up. Max tried to reach for the card but was too late. "Mission accomplished!" Zander said. "But now it's time for some big fat revenge! Go on, Terry get 'em!" Ursula said to her T-Rex.
"Uh-oh, you ready Chomp?" Max said pressing a button on his Dino Holder turning him back into a card. "Let's go!" He said holding Chomp's card. "Dino Slash!" He swiped the card downwards on his holder. "Charge, Triceratops!" Chomp was summoned in his full size.
"Hmp! Now we've got him, go for it Chomp!" Max said confidently.
Chomp charged at Terry as the two dinosaurs headbutted each other causing some rocks to fly into the air. Both were pushing against one another until Terry broke off and bit on Chomp's back and threw him to the ground. "Oh no!" Max shouted. Terry then rammed Chomp across the ground and into the Sphinx as he cried out in pain. "Get up! Come on! You can do it Chomp!" Max shouted to his dinosaur, but it was no use, Terry repeatedly headbutted Chomp in the stomach.
The Dino Holder began flashing red as Chomp's energy was dropping. "Oh yeah, I'll use Electric Charge." Max said, popping the card from his holder.
"Better watch out, that little twerp is using a move card" Zander warned Ursula. "Huh?" She said. "Remember, Electric Charge. He used that move to beat Terry." Ed said.
"Oh gee, I'm so upset… not! We have another dinosaur remember?" Ursula said. "Is the water stone in the new Alpha Scanner?" She asked. "Preped and ready." Zander said tossing it to her.
"Good now open the hatch." She ordered. "Huh? What are you doing Ursula?" Ed asked.
"I'm going to summon it outside, so keep the ship steady." Ursula said as she climbed out and stood on top of the flying ship. "Alright, come on out Spinosaurus!" She said as she swiped the card on the Alpha Scanner summoning Spinosaurus.
It landed in front of Max knocking him back and causing him to lose his move card. "Oh no! My move card!" He said.
"Hahaha, we've got him now." Zander said with a sinister smile as Ursula got back inside the ship.
Meanwhile, back at the D-Lab…
"Oh no, oh no! What am I going to do, if Aki finds out I sent Max to Egypt by himself she's going to kill me!" Dr. Taylor said walking back and forth worriedly.
"Relax, Dr. Taylor. He'll be fine, Chomp will protect Max and there is a way to bring him back here." Reese reassured him.
"There is?" Dr. Taylor asked, but then there was a ring at the door. Reese looked at the front door camera and it was a delivery man. "Delivery for Dr. Taylor." He said.
Dr. Taylor went to the front door, thanked the delivery man, picked up the package, and headed back to the central computer lab. He placed the package on a table. "Do you think it could be the dinosaur cards my Dad found?" Rex said.
"Let's find out." Dr. Taylor opened the package and Rex was right it was indeed the dinosaur cards that Dr. Owen found, but not just the dinosaur cards but move cards too, one for wind and one for grass.
"Awesome!" Rex said taking the Carnotaurus card.
"This is so cool! I have my own dinosaur!" Zoe said taking the Parasaurolophus card. "Come on Rex, let's go help Max and see what our dinosaurs can do!" Zoe said excitedly. "Yeah!" Rex agreed.
They both took their move cards and placed them in their holder. "Oh, hey!" Zoe said looking at her card in the holder. "What is it, Zoe?" Rex asked. "Look it tells you the name of the move, mine is called 'Nature's Blessing'." She said. "Huh, mine is called 'Cyclone'. I guess Max didn't notice the name of his card when he used it." Rex said. They then got on the teleport platform and pushed a button on their Dino Holder to teleport. "Be careful kids." Dr. Taylor said as the kids disappeared.
Back in Egypt…
Spinosaurus stood right above Max as it growled at him with him screaming. He looked over at where Chomp was getting headbutted by Terry. "Chomp! Oh no! What now?!" Max said worriedly as Spinosaurus roared at him, but suddenly, bright lights appeared making Spinosaurus back away from Max. "Rex! Zoe!" He said relieved.
"Are ya ready Zoe?!" Rex said.
"Let's go!" Zoe said.
Rex held his card between his pointer and middle finger "Dino Slash!" He swiped his card across his Dino Holder. "You can do it Carnotaurus!" Rex summoned a blue Carnotaurus with yellow horizontal stripes on its sides.
Zoe held her card in the air. "Go! Dino Slash!" She swiped the card on her Dino holder "Come on out Parasaurolophus!" Zoe summoned a Parasaurolophus with green coloring on its body, some beige coloring on its bottom, and hints of blue on its crest and back. It also had grass-like patterns on its sides.
The Parasaurolophus and Carnotaurus charged at Spinosaurus knocking him over on his back.
"Augh! The two other brats got dinosaurs too?!" Zander said.
"It's a Carnotaurus and Parasaurolophus!" Ed said.
"How did those kids get here anyway?!" Ursula said.
Max got up and rushed over to pick up his move card. "Chomp!" He yelled as Chomp lifted his head only to put it back down because of the pain. Terry stopped headbutting Chomp and roared as he saw Carnotaurus coming his way. It rammed its head at Terry knocking him back a bit and then he ran away as Carnotaurus roared at him. "Oh no! Chomp's hurt he can't get up!" Max said worriedly.
"Don't worry, Max. This should help." Zoe said pressing a button on her Dino Holder as she popped out her move card. "Nature's Blessing!" Parasaurolophus was then surrounded by an aura of leaves as it charged up the move. It then sends those leaves to Chomp healing him as he got up and roared.
"Awesome." Zoe said.
"What was that?" Max asked.
"That was one of her moves." She replied.
"A healing move, cool." Max said.
"They have move cards too?!" Ursula said frustrated.
Meanwhile, Carnotaurus and Spinosaurus were having a battle. They both circled and roared at each other not backing down from the fight. Spinosaurus made the first move as it lunged at Carnotaurus, but it missed due to Carnotaurus' speed. This allowed Carnotaurus to attack as it rammed into Spinosaurs' side knocking him over.
"Max!" Rex said
"Yeah?" Max said turning his attention to Rex.
"Let's use our moves to finish this up!" Rex said. "What? You mean you have a move too?" Max asked surprised.
"Yeah." Rex replied pressing a button on his Dino holder and popping out his move card. "Cyclone!" Rex swiped his move card as Carnotaurus glowed light blue and then a cyclone came crashing down on top of it, as it was enveloped in wind. Carnotaurus grab the downed Spinosaurus by the tail swinging him back and forth and launching it into one of the pyramids, and returned back into a card.
"Gah! Spinosaurus is down, land this thing before those brats get the card!" Ursula ordered.
"On it." Zander said as he and Ed landed the ship near one of the pyramids. They got out when Ed noticed something. "Hey look, a camel." He said.
"Ed! How's that going to help us?!" Ursula said. "Well, we can use it to get to the card faster." He said.
"That's actually a good idea. Alright, let's get on that camel!" Ursula said.
Meanwhile, Parasaurolophus ran straight for Terry headbutting him. Terry then grabbed it by the neck and threw it to the ground. This, however, was a distraction. "Electric Charge!" Max shouted swiping his move card. Lightning struck Chomp as he charged toward Terry producing a ball of electricity when he made contact with the T-Rex. This sent Terry flying into the Sphinx causing its head to fall on top of him turning him back into a card.
"Alright!" Max shouted as Chomp roared in victory with Carnotaurus and Parasaurolophus joining in too.
A quick shadowy figure snatched the Spinosaurus card surprising Max. He and his friends approached the fallen head of the Sphinx where Terry's card was. But as soon as they were about to grab it, a claw hand snatch it before they could.
"HAHAHAHA! Did you really think it would be that easy?" Ursula said on top of a camel holding Spinosaurus' card and Terry's card along with Zander and Ed.
"Look who it is you guys! It's that old lady again!" Zoe said pointing at Ursula.
"What did you say…?" Ursula said ticked off, as Zander and Ed giggled. She elbowed them in the head. "Grr! Listen here, you obviously need to learn the difference between old and experienced!" She said
"Oh, sorry. I guess I thought they meant the same thing." Zoe said.
"Really?! Well, there's a big difference!" Ursula angrily said to Zoe. She, however, was interrupted by the sound of big footsteps approaching them. It was the three D-Team dinosaurs and Ursula looked up at them in fear. "And you can be sure that I'll explain it another time! But for now, the Alpha Gang must be on their way!" Ursula said kicking the camel which ran backwards instead of forwards.
"Hey! Where are you going?! The ship is that way!" Ursula said.
"Where are the breaks on this thing?!" Zander said.
"We're stuck in reverse!" Ed said.
"They keep getting weirder." Max said.
After a few minutes, Max returns Chomp back to chibi form. "Hey guys, you wanna meet Ace?" Rex asked summoning Carnotaurus in chibi form. "It's a perfect name for him because it means number one and he's my first dinosaur." He said.
Zoe then summons Parasaurolophus in chibi form. "And this is Paris." She said.
"So what's Paris mean?" Max asked.
"Well, she's a Parasaurolophus, but Paris is a much cuter name, like it?" She said to her dinosaur as she started dancing liking her new name.
"Cool! This is Chomp, we're all gonna be a great team." Max said introducing his dinosaur to Ace and Paris.
"Ah! I just remembered! I don't know how to get back home!" Max panicked.
"It's in the manual, we just have to operate the Dino Holder in reverse and we'll go back to where we came from." Rex explained. "But, can you believe this? We're really in Egypt, wow." He said.
"Hey, I just thought of an awesome idea." Zoe said to the boys.
Back at the D-Team…
"What do you mean you're staying an extra week?" Reese said to the kids who were talking through a big monitor.
"Well, since none of us have been to Egypt before." Zoe said.
"We might as well stay and do a little sightseeing." Rex said.
"See ya." Max said ending the call.
"Hold on a minute." Reese said.
"Let them have fun." Dr. Taylor said. "I'm afraid they don't understand the urgency in the fact that there are dinosaur cards scattered all over the world and it's become their responsibility to find them. For every card they find, another dinosaur is saved." Reese explained.
"Well just give them time. If only I had gone and seen those great Pyramids." Dr. Taylor said as Reese walked away.
Meanwhile, in a Lab on a mysterious island…
With the Lab repaired and cleaned up, Dr. Z continued work on his invention. "Yes! I did it! My move card is completed!" Dr. Z said as a fire move card floated in the tube. "Huh? Where did everybody go?" He said.
"So, is it done, Grandpa?" Rod asked as he, Laura, and Lexi walked into the
Lab.
"That's right, children. Pretty impressive, would you say?" Dr. Z said proudly. "Now I just need to restore more and more move cards and I'll build a dinosaur kingdom that is unstoppable!" He said. "Hey, are Ursula and her team back from Egypt yet?" Dr. Z asked noticing that the trio hasn't returned yet.
"I don't know, maybe they're having too much fun in Egypt." Laura said.
"Should we call them?" Lexi said. Just when Dr. Z was about to call his team on the computer, the door opened behind him, and in came the A-Team exhausted from their trip.
"Are you guys okay?" Lexi said to them.
"We just… we just need some water." Zander said out of breath.
"I'll go tell Helga to bring you some." Laura said leaving the room.
"Well, did you get the dinosaur card or not?!" Dr. Z asked them. Ursula pulled out the Spinosaurus card and handed it to the Doctor. "Ah! Excellent! Good job you three!" Said Dr. Z as he walked over to a large machine and place the card inside activating it.
"There! Now it's under our control. Did you find the water stone?" Dr. Z asked. Ed handed him the Alpha Scanner with the stone. "It's in here." Ed said.
Dr. Z grabbed the device and swiped the card upwards on it, summoning a chibi Spinosaurus.
"Aww, it's so cute!" Lexi said kneeling down to pet him, snapping at her a little. "Hey now, be a good boy. So, what are we going to name him?" She asked.
"Hmmm… How about Spiny?" Rod suggested. "I like it." Lexi said.
"Yes, that's a fitting name. Good job, Rod." Dr. Z said. "Thanks, Grandpa." Rod said.
"Come on Spiny, let's go introduce you to Terry." Lexi said as she led Spiny out of the Lab with Rod following them.
"Good job A-Team, a great improvement from last time." Dr. Z said to the Alpha Trio still collapsed on the floor. "So, did you run into those 3 brats?" Dr. Z asked.
"Yes, and they had two more dinosaurs with them." Ursula said.
"What?!" Dr. Z shouted.
"Yeah, a Carnotaurus and Parasaurolophus to be exact." Zander said.
"They also had move cards. I think they used Cyclone and Nature's Blessing." Ed said.
"Grr! Those kids not only have the lightning stone but the wind and grass one too?! Mark my words, I will get those stones and cards back from those meddling brats! No matter what it takes!" Dr. Z declared.

Okay, that's chapter two done. I don't have much to say here other than things regarding the names of move cards. So, in the original, the name of the move cards were name-dropped by the Alpha Gang since they knew what the move did and its name. While the D-Team didn't. So, I found it kinda stupid that Rex and Zoe knew the name of their move cards despite the Alpha Gang never mentioning it. So I decided that both the Dino Holder and Alpha Scanner tell you the name of the move card, and also what it does when inside the device. This way the D-Team can say the name of the move card when the Alpha Gang isn't presented. Anyways, that's all I have to say thanks for reading and see you next time.
