Chapter 3 Tanks a Lot
It was a bright sunny day, and the D-Team was at Max's house playing with their dinosaurs. Rex was inside his room reading a dinosaur book he just purchased. "There you are from the old days, Ace." He said reading a section of his book about Carnotaurus. "Man, this limited-edition book was worth every penny of those five months of allowance I paid for it." He said as Ace was running around his room making a mess. "Hey Ace, could you calm down a bit, I'm trying to read here." He told his dinosaur as he stepped on his book leaving muddy footprints on the pages. Rex looked down at his book and screamed in frustration. "Look at what you did to my book! It's totally ruined." He shouted at Ace, as he looked down in shame. He tried helping by licking the pages to get the mud out. "Now there's spit all over it!" Rex retorted.
Meanwhile, outside Max's backyard, he and Zoe played with their dinosaurs. "Stop! That tickles, Chomp!" Max laughed as Chomp tickled him. He then bit his rear. "That's worse!"
"Hey Max, I bet your dad landed in London by now, maybe you should try calling him," Zoe said to Max. "Yeah, but I thought he said he wasn't gonna get there until dinner time." He replied.
"You're right, I guess I'm just super excited to hear if that thing in the picture is another stone or not," Zoe said.
"I know. Well hopefully when he gets to the museum, they'll be able to tell better because it was kind of small in the corner of that picture." Max said as he was petting Chomp.
"Ace, hold on! Get back here!" Ace ran out of the house and then ran around Max hiding behind him as Rex chased after him. "What's the matter, Rex?" Max asked.
"He just ruined my brand-new collectible dinosaur book!" Rex angrily replied. "What did he do?" Asked Max while Ace was behind him looking down in shame. "He stomped all over it and got the pages all mucked up!" He replied.
"I really don't see what the big deal is. Why can't you just wipe it off?" Zoe suggested. "No need to, he licked it off with his slobbery tongue," Rex said pointing at Ace. "Well, at least he was trying to help," Zoe said as Ace hid behind Max.
"Anyone hungry?" Max's mother called out to the group. "Zoe, I see you had a little dog follow you as well," Aki said noticing Paris.
"Oh yeah, that's right." Zoe nervously laughed.
"There sure are a lot of unusual-looking dogs out roaming the streets these days." She said as Max smiled nervously. "Enjoy your food. Should I bring your dogs a snack too?" She asked the group.
"Maybe for the other two, but not Ace!" Rex said as Ace flinches behind Max.
-Cue intro theme-
On a mysterious island, Dr. Z was trying to predict where the next dinosaur card would appear by using dinosaur bones. "Every time!" He shouted. "Once more… Shake a bone, shake a bone, shake a bone stew, ride your own dinosaur two by two." He chanted as he shook the dinosaur bones like a pair of dice. He let go of them on the map and they landed on England more specifically on London.
Dr. Z laughed proudly. "No matter how many times I tried, it says London. See for yourselves take a look see. What did I tell you, bones don't lie." He said telling his grandkids and their friend.
"For a scientist, he sure likes to rely on superstition," Lexi commented.
"Yeah, maybe you should try something more scientific," Rod suggested.
"Yeah, Grandpa. How come you're messing with dinosaur bones?" Laura said.
"Let's leave him alone with his fortune-telling. Come on, guys." Rod said leaving the room with Laura and Lexi following.
"Do you think he's okay? Zander said something like he's lost a marble, but I'm not really sure what that means." Laura said. "I'll tell you some other time," Lexi told her. "Oh, okay," Laura said as the three kids left the room.
"I haven't lost marbles, only dinosaur cards, but that doesn't matter so much anymore now that the bones and Alpha Search Signal can find them." Dr. Z said to himself. "Ursula! Zander! Ed! Prepare yourselves for a new mission!" He shouted at the Alpha Trio.
Meanwhile, in London, England…
It was a foggy day in London. Dr. Taylor had just arrived at a museum to investigate the stone found in his picture. "Let's get down right to business, Mr. Brady, I took a picture of a fossil earlier, and when the picture developed. I noticed this object in the corner." Said Dr. Taylor showing the museum director the picture.
Meanwhile, above the museum, a flying vehicle was approaching it. "Maybe we could try this museum," Zander suggested. "Huh? Yeah sure whatever, let's just get this mission over with." Ursula said wanting to get this mission over with as soon as possible.
They landed their ship at the back of the museum and got out. "Ed! I'm not leaving my purchases in there. Someone could steal them!" Ursula said pointing to a bunch of boxes and shopping bags in the back of the ship.
"What?!" Ed said surprised. "Who's going to steal them out here?"
"He's got a point, Ursula, plus the ship is locked no one's getting in," Zander said.
"You two might like to live your lives carefree, but I like to be cautious. Now, go and get them!" She told Ed crossing her arms.
After Ed was done picking up all of Ursula's purchases, the trio snuck into the museum by picking a lock on one of the doors and breaking in. They were in the storage area of the museum where skeletons of dinosaurs and other artifacts were being held.
Zander pulled out a flashlight and turned it on. The trio made their way through the dark room trying to find the dinosaur card. After walking for a while, Ursula began getting frustrated. "This is absurd. Here we are in London all because of some boneheaded bone 'fortunetelling' Dr. Z likes to do. Ridiculous!" Ursula ranted. "For a scientist, he sure likes to rely on superstition."
"I heard Lexi say the same thing when Dr. Z called for us," Zander said.
"Hmph. Lexi. I'm still surprised Rod and Laura manage to convince Dr. Z to let her stay with us, let alone join us." Ursula said.
"Hey, the girl isn't that bad. She's pretty calm compared to Rod and Laura." Zander said.
"Yeah whatever, but honestly, I'm surprised you two went along with Dr. Z's little prediction," Ursula said.
"But Ursula, all you've been doing is shopping anyway, and we're supposed to be here looking for dinosaurs," Ed said as Ursula hit Ed in the head. "Oh, so it's my mistake. I thought we were here looking for designer stores!" She said sarcastically.
"Well, that's understandable. London does have some fashionable stores." Zander commented as he pointed his flashlight at a dinosaur skeleton, scaring him and causing him to bump into Ed and Ursula, knocking both them and the other skeletons down.
"Ow! What's the matter with you? Have you forgotten who we are? The Alpha Gang strikes fear in others. We're not afraid of a bunch of bones!" Ursula said. "Yeah Zander, this is a museum, you know. What'd you think it was gonna have in it?" Ed said to Zander.
"There are other things than just skeletons in a museum Ed, and excuse me for not liking skeletons," Zander said.
"There's more where that came from, so, get used to it." Ursula scolded Zander. "What's this?" She picked up a rock covered in dirt and began to break it apart. When she finished breaking apart the dirt it was revealed to be a stone with a mountain symbol engraved into it. "I think I found it. This is the earth stone, right?" She said. "Yeah, it is. Way to go, Ursula." Ed congratulated her. Suddenly, the alarm in the building went off and the lights in the room turned on.
"Oh no! The proximity alarm!" Ed said.
"Come on, Let's get out of here!" Ursula said as she began running. "You don't seriously think I'm leaving here without all of my purchases, do you?! We've been over this. Go get them!" She said to Ed pointing at the boxes and shopping bags on the floor. "What?!" Ed said as security guards came in the room.
"Oh no! They're here already?! Do something!" Ursula ordered as she hid behind the two men. "You heard her, Zander do something," Ed said. "What the heck am I supposed to do?!" Zander said.
The guards rushed at them with Ursula running away to hide somewhere and knocking her purchases in the air. Zander hid behind a Skeleton to protect himself from the guard's batons. Ed meanwhile, was running with a dinosaur's skull on his head while the guards chased him. "Look officers, over there! I think I see someone stealing a diamond!" Ursula said behind a skeleton trying to distract the guards. Atomist the chaos, without realizing it, Zander knocked over an egg capsule hitting the wall and opening it. There was a dinosaur card inside and it was covered with soil from a pot. It began glowing purple and the Alpha Trio and guards noticed the glow.
The dinosaur was a Saichania. It had purple coloring on top with a beige underbelly and yellowish spike-like osteoderms. It also had yellow eyes and a clubbed tail. It looked over at the guards. "Look it's an Ankylosaurus," Ursula said. "Actually, that's a Saichania, Ursula," Ed said correcting her.
The guards yelled at it and began chasing it. This scared the dinosaur and it started running away. It then swung its tail at the guards scaring them off. "Hate to say I told you so, but I knew that Dr. Z's bones would lead us right to that dinosaur." Ursula happily said. "You never had a doubt." Zander agreed with her.
Dr. Taylor and Mr. Brady came running to see what the commotion was about. "Oh boy! Look at that! A real-life Saichania!" Dr. Taylor exclaimed as Saichania bashed a hole through a wall and walked into the next room.
"Come on! Let's go! That Saichania isn't going to catch itself now is it?" Ursula said running after the dinosaur with Zander and Ed following. "Ed! I'm not going to tell you again! My purchases need to come with me!" She pointed at the boxes and shopping bags on the floor. "Wha?!" Ed said.
He reluctantly went over and pick them up as the trio ran into the that Saichania made. "Thank you," Ursula said to Ed.
"Well, I imagine it's not every day you find a Saichania running around a museum. Eh, Brady?" Dr. Taylor said as he watched the Alpha Trio run after it.
Meanwhile, at Max's house…
The D-Kids were still outside with Rex still being mad at Ace for what he did to his book. "Sorry, your book got messed up, Rex," Max said.
"I told him to calm down and stop jumping around," Rex said.
"Well, it seems like he's really sorry. I think you should just let it go." Zoe said. Then their Dino Holders began beeping. "The Dino Holder is beeping." The kids pulled them out to see what it was.
"Hey, maybe a new card has been found," Rex said.
"I wonder where?" Max asked.
"London, England," Rex replied.
"Hey, that's where my dad is right now," Max said running out of the house with Chomp following him.
"Wait Max we're coming too." Zoe and Paris followed Max with Ace also running after them. "Hold on a minute, Ace," Rex said running after his dinosaur.
At the D-Lab…
The D-Team came in running into the lab looking for Reese. "Reese!" Max shouted. "Hey, Reese!" Rex yelled. "Where are you?!" Zoe asked.
"Hey, she's here," Max said.
"I was expecting you," Reese said while typing on the computer to get the teleporter ready as the kids got on the teleport pad. "Ready for transport? You're going to London." She said.
Ace was acting up again while Rex was grabbing him, trying to make him calm down. "Stop it, Ace! Quit fooling around!" He said.
"Let's go!" Max said and the three of them pressed a button on their Dino Holders and teleported away.
Back in the museum in London…
The D-Team was transported inside the museum, which surprised Dr. Taylor and Mr. Brady. "How in the." He said confused by three kids appearing out of nowhere. "I'm so glad you're here kids." Dr. Taylor said not phased by their sudden appearance
"So did you find another dinosaur card, Dad?" Max asked his father.
"We found much more than that. A full-sized Saichania is hiding in this museum." Dr. Taylor said. "You're kidding, a Saichania?" Max said.
"Knock it off, Ace! What's the matter with you?!" Rex said as Ace was wilding out in his arms. He jumped out of his arms and started running away. "I'll help you look after I get Ace back," Rex said chasing after him.
Max and Zoe turned their attention back to Dr. Taylor. "Unfortunately, those Alpha Gang folks are here too. So, let's find it before they do." He said.
"That old lady is here too?" Zoe asked.
Meanwhile, The A-Team was running down a hall looking for Saichania. "Do you ever get that feeling that someone is talking about you?" Ursula said to her teammates.
"Let's go, Chomp!" Max said as Chomp followed behind him with Zoe and Paris going in a different direction than them. "Dad, maybe you can think of a way to lure it out somehow." Max told his dad. "That's not a half-bad idea. Why didn't I think of it myself?" Dr. Taylor asked himself trying to think of something. "Saichania lived in the desert. What other large animals lived in the desert? That's right, camels." He said figuring it out. "Hey Brady, think you can get ahold of some good camel feed for me?" Dr. Taylor asked.
"Camel?" he said confused. "I'll call the nearby zoo and see if they can help you."
"Great." Dr. Taylor responded.
Meanwhile, the Alpha Gang was somewhere in the museum still looking for Saichania. "These boxes are getting heavy. Zander, can you help me out?" Ed asked his teammate. "Can't you see I'm busy looking for a dinosaur?" Zander replied.
"I think we should split up, so you stay on this floor and I'll go take a look upstairs. If you find it use Spiny to battle it." Ursula suggested.
"Never fear Ed and Zander are here," Zander said saluting her.
"Whatever." Ursula said as she went upstairs.
Somewhere else in the museum, Max and Chomp were running down a hall looking for the dinosaur but with no luck. "This place is huge. How are we ever gonna find it?" Max said. Chomp then ran off in a different direction. Oh, do you think you heard something, Chomp? Let's go!" He said. They both ran into another dark room exhibit. Max turned on his horn's light on his visor. "Well, this seems like it'd be a pretty good spot to hide." He said as he and Chomp walk across the dark room while looking at the dinosaur replicas in the room. "Wow look at all these dinosaurs, Chomp." He said. Max then spotted a dinosaur replica that looked like a Saichania. "Hey, I think that's it right?" He said unsure. "Or is this one fake too? It looks totally real." He got a closer look, but before he could do that, he heard Chomp doing something. Max looked over in Chomp's direction and he was nuzzling a Triceratops replica statute. "Aw, Chomp, are you missing your family?" Max asked him. Chomp made some noises indicating that he did miss them. "I understand, but you've got me and the D-Team as your family now," Max reassured his partner. "And we're gonna have lots more adventures like this one together." He said with his back turned. This gave the "replica" Saichania a chance to quietly move somewhere else. "Well, what do you say? Should we continue looking for that Saichania?" Max asked his partner as Chomp followed him.
Meanwhile, Ace was still running by himself around the museum, when Ed and Zander spotted him. "Hey, did you see that?" Zander asked.
"Wasn't that one of the dinosaurs those brats used on us in the desert?" Ed asked.
"Yes, it sure was," Zander replied. "Now let's go get it." He said as they started chasing him. But suddenly, they bumped into Rex causing Ed to drop all the boxes and shopping bags he was holding.
Rex got up and turned around to face them. "Grr, What are you guys doing here?! And how come you're always following us around?!" He barked at them.
"That's what I was going to ask you!" Zander barked back.
"If you're here looking for that Saichania, you can forget it!" Ed said.
"Believe it or not, I have a bigger mess to take care of right now than you two!" Rex said as he went after Ace.
"Hmph! How do those kids keep showing up whenever a dinosaur does? Do they have some sort of teleporter?" Zander said.
"Maybe they have aircraft vehicles like us," Ed said.
"I doubt it, Ed," Zander said. Then suddenly there was a loud crash as Saichania busted a large hole in the wall scaring Zander and Ed. It looked around for a bit before running away down the hallway.
"There it is come on let's go!" Zander said with Ed following.
"Ed! You're forgetting something." Zander pointed to Ursula's purchases. "I don't want Ursula nagging me about her 'precious' purchases." He said.
"What?! Are you going to help me or not?" Ed said.
"Fine," Zander said helping pick up Ursula's purchases.
In the upstairs area of the museum, Ursula was still searching for Saichania in the Egyptian exhibit. "Saichania… where are you?" She called out. "Come on out, my little tank dinosaur." She stopped by one of the display cases to admire the jewelry. "What do we have here? Oh, this jewelry is absolutely gorgeous. I've never seen anything quite so stunning unless, of course, it was something hanging around my neck and dripping off my ears." She said to herself as Saichania sneakily walked past her from behind without noticing.
"Ace! Hold on, Pal!" Rex called out to his dinosaur.
"Did I just hear those brats again?" Ursula said, recognizing Rex's voice.
"Ace!" He called out again as Ursula hid in a sarcophagus. She was creeped out by the mummy inside but reluctantly went inside.
"Stop Ace! I'm not mad, I just want to talk to you." Rex said chasing down Ace who hid behind a large vase. "Please, Ace," Rex begged his partner.
Down in the basement level of the museum Zoe and Paris were searching for Saichania with no luck. "This place is so big. I feel like we've been walking around in circles." She said, looking in Paris' direction Zoe saw that she was munching on the decorative plants. "Paris! No don't eat that!" She scolded her dinosaur scaring her as she hid behind the plants. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell. Don't hide." Zoe said to Paris looking at her. "Now I understand how Ace must feel." She said to herself.
Not too far away, Zander and Ed were spying on Zoe from behind a corner. "There's the girl, bring out Spiny," Ed said to Zander. "That's one Spinosaurus coming right up, Ha!" Said Zander.
He went out into the open, pulled out the card and Alpha Scanner, and slashed the card on the device. "Go Spinosaurus!" Zander said summoning Spiny in full-size. He had a small floating ball going around his head before disappearing.
"Let's get out of here, Paris!" Zoe said as she and Paris ran for it with Spiny chasing them. "A Door! Please be unlocked! Please! Please!" She said trying to open the door but it was no use the door was locked. She turned around and was a bit scared as she pressed a button on her Dino Holder, turning Paris into a card. "Go! Dino Slash! Let's go, Parasaurolophus!" Zoe said summoning Paris in her full size. The background turned an orangish-purple color as the two dinosaurs faced each other.
Somewhere else Max noticed the background change as well. "That sounds like a battle is going on, but I wonder where?" Max said.
Back in the basement, Zander and Ed walk behind Spiny to get a better view of the battle. "Look's like she's trapped now, huh Zander?" Ed said. "Which gives us the unfair advantage and that's exactly how I like to play," Zander said chuckling.
"Max, where are you?! Can you hear me, Rex?!" Zoe said crying out for help from her friends.
"Nobody can hear you. We're down in the basement, so don't waste your breath." Said Ed.
"Besides your shouting is getting annoying so just prepare to battle and lose," Zander said preparing Spiny for battle. "Alright, go Spiny, you know what to do. Go and get her!" Zander ordered his dinosaur.
Spiny was about to attack Paris, but before he could, Paris began bellowing very loudly, her bellow being amplified by her crest. It seems that she was calling for help. This disoriented Spiny for a bit.
"Ah! I'll take your shouting over that!" Zander said covering his ears.
"What's it doing, Zander!" Ed asked.
"I think it's trying to call for help." He replied.
"Help?" Zoe said covering her ears as well.
In another part of the museum Max also heard the loud noise. "Where's that noise coming from?" He asked. Chomp then ran in the direction the noise was coming from. "Wait, Chomp!"
In the Egyptian exhibit of the museum, Rex and Ace also heard the loud noise. "Hey, what's that sound?" Rex asked. Ace then looked at Rex with a serious expression in his eyes. "Ace? What, are you alright?" Rex asked as Ace jumped into Rex's stomach knocking him back and preventing him from getting crushed by Terry, who was now full-sized. Ace got off of Rex and began hissing at Terry as he growled back. "That was close. Ace, you just saved my life pal." Rex thanked his dinosaur.
Ursula then came out of the sarcophagus covered in bandages. "No way, it's a creepy old mummy!" Rex said.
"Did you just say, old mummy?! I'm not old! I might be creepy, but I'm not old!" She exclaimed. "Oh well never mind, it was fun while it lasted, but now I have more pressing matters such as capturing your Carnotaurus."
Rex pressed a button on his Dino Holder and turned Ace back into a card. "Dino Slash! Carnotaurus, blow them away!" He said, summoning Ace in full-sized mode. Ursula laughed. "You really think your Carnotaurus can beat my big bad T-Rex." She taunted.
Rex grunted as Ace ran forward and under Terry's belly. He then ran circles around Terry trying to disorient him. However, Terry was keeping a good eye on him, and when Ace was on his second lap around him Terry smacked him with his tail knocking him into a wall. "Ace, watch out!" Rex shouted.
Dr. Taylor suddenly showed up at the battle scene with a basket of leaves, shrubs, and other plants. "So, we meet again, T-Rex!" He said.
"Are you kidding? My Tyrannosaurus doesn't want your little salad bowl. You're supposed to be a paleontologist, shouldn't you know that he's a carnivore." Ursula said.
"Oh I know, but this isn't for him, it's for the Saichania. Nothing like a little camel food to draw him out." Dr. Taylor said.
"Oh please, do you really think you can trick my little Tank by using camel food? Yes, that's right I've already named him Tank and he's already mine." Ursula declared. "So, you can take your salad bowl back to the zoo!"
Back in the basement Spiny and Paris were engaged in battle. Spiny circled Pairs trying to get a good angle for an attack. He then lunged at Paris and used his claws to scratch her in the face. Paris bellowed out in pain and retaliated by ramming her head into Spiny knocking him back a bit. Not finished with her attack yet, she got up on her hind legs and ran toward Spiny using her body weight to knock him to the floor.
"Zander! What are you waiting for?! Use the move card!" Ed said. Zander pressed a button on his Alpha Scanner and out popped a water move card. "Got it." He said as he slashed the card. "Use Shockwave, Spiny! Go!" Zander said. Spiny then kicked Paris out of the way with his leg and got up. Surrounding him were swirls of water that eventually formed into a column of water. He roared as the water swirls surrounded Paris enveloping her in a column of water, but unlike Spiny, the water column was suffocating her.
"Hang on, Paris!" Zoe shouted.
Zander and Ed began laughing, but they were interrupted by the arrival of Max and Chomp. "Zoe!" He shouted.
"Oh good, I could really use your help right now, Max," Zoe said.
"That's why we're here. Chomp helped me find you." Max said.
"Oh no! It's that kid with the Triceratops." Ed said. "Be careful Zander, if he uses his move card on Spiny it's all over." He warned his teammate.
"I know that, Ed!" Zander said.
Max pressed a button on his Dino Holder and turned Chomp back into a card. "Dino Slash! Charge Triceratops!" Max summoned Chomp in his full size.
Chomp charged straight at Spiny ramming into him. However, Spiny prepared for the attack and grabs hold of Chomp's frill with his arms and bites down on Chomp's horn. But unlike Terry, Spiny didn't have enough strength to throw Chomp back and was pushed back by Chomp knocking him down to the floor.
"Ah! Get up! Get up! Get up!" Zander and Ed chanted frantically.
Spiny got back up off the floor and shook his head. Chomp was about to charge again, but Spiny retaliated by smacking Chomp with his tail in the face. Spiny then lunges at Chomp and bites down on his frill as he uses his
arms to push him down. Chomp struggled to keep his balance as Spiny was using his full weight to push him back. He eventually lost his balance and fell to the floor. Spiny took this opportunity to scratch Chomp in the face with his claws knocking him back.
"Hang in there, Chomp!" Max said as he pushed a button on his Dino Holder and popped out his move card slashing it. "Electric Charge!"
"Oh no! Zander! Quick, use Shockwave again!" Ed panicked.
"I can't. I used it on that Parasaurolophus and it hasn't recharged yet," Zander said holding a grayscale of the move card.
A lightning bolt struck Chomp as he was infused with electricity. He roared as he charged toward Spiny.
"Spiny! You have to get out of the way!" Zander shouted.
Spiny roared at Chomp as he leaped out of the way of the charging Triceratops. However, Chomp course corrected his attack by aiming at Spiny's upper leg. The same way he did with Terry in Egypt. When Chomp made contact with Spiny it created a ball of electricity sending Spiny flying toward a wall and fell to the floor spazzing out on the floor from the electricity, before glowing blue and turning back into a card.
"Darn, it!" Zander said as he went over to pick up Spiny's card.
"All right Chomp!" Max cheered.
"You two were lucky it was two against one and that you had an advantage over us!" Zander said.
"Yeah, next time will be different!" Ed said and they both ran off as Max and Zoe turned their dinosaurs back into cards, placing them in their Dino Holders.
"Hey, Zoe are you and Paris okay? Max asked.
"Yeah, but look, there must be another battle going on somewhere," Zoe said noticing at the background was still the orangish-purple color.
"You're right, it could be Rex or my Dad. Come on." Max said running off to look for his friend and father.
Back in the Egyptian exhibit of the museum, the battle between Terry and Ace was still going on. Rex slashed his move card on his Dino Holder. "Cyclone!" Rex said. A cyclone came crashing down on Ace as he was enveloped in wind, powering him up. He charged toward Terry ramming into him and sending him back a bit. Although, this didn't do much damage to the T-Rex.
"That was a pretty good move, but it's times like this where I like to pull out a few moves of my own," Ursula said pulling out a fire move card. "Terry! Volcano Burst!" She slashed the card on her Alpha Scanner. Terry then gathered fire in his mouth and swung his head from left to right fanning the flames, and then shot it out into the ground as a line of fire headed straight for Ace. The fire then erupted beneath him and he was engulfed in a pillar of flames. The attack was too much for Ace as he turned back into a card.
"Oh no! Ace!" Rex shouted.
"I did it! I did it! I'm so glad I had the advantage!" Ursula said excitedly running for Ace's card.
"Not quite." Dr. Taylor said using his frog lasso to get the card before she could.
"Hey!" Ursula exclaimed.
"I got it!" Rex said.
"Good job, now go on and look for Max and Zoe. I'll take care of this." Dr. Taylor said.
"But, you don't have a dinosaur to battle with," Rex said.
Ursula laughed. "You should listen to the brat. You do seem a bit outnumbered this time, don't you think?" She said as Terry menacingly approached Dr. Taylor and Rex. But suddenly, they heard loud footsteps as Saichania came running into the room attracted by the camel feed. "What?!" Ursula said. Saichania knocked Terry to the side as it ran straight for the food and began eating.
"Enjoy your snack Saichania." Dr. Taylor said.
"Terry! Take care of him!" Ursula said pulling out another move card and slashing it. "Neck Crusher!" Terry then lifted Saichania into the air and spun around hitting the dinosaur in its neck with his tail causing it to turn back into a card. "I'll take that card, thank you." Dr. Taylor said using his frog lasso to get the card, but he was blocked by Terry. "Not this time cowboy. I don't fall for the same trick twice, so you can take your lasso and square dance on home." Ursula said picking up Saichania's card.
Zander and Ed showed up at the scene. "Ursula, Spiny got beaten," Ed said.
"Dad!" Max said as he and Zoe also showed up.
"That's alright, Ed. I don't need Spiny right now, while you and Zander were off losing your battle, Terry and I captured Tank." Ursula said laughing.
"Who's Tank?" Ed said.
"That's what I named the Saichania you nitwit," Ursula said.
"Cleaver," Zander commented.
"Alright, Terry go and get rid of them!" Ursula said pointing at the D-Team. However, her Alpha Scanner began beeping as Terry was getting tired. "It looks like Terry is losing energy. You better use a move card, quick." Ed said.
"I don't have another one! I used one on that silly Carnotaurus and the other one on Tank, so I guess I have no other option but to call him back." Ursula said.
"Oh, that's okay. I think Dr. Z wants us to come back to headquarters anyway." Zander said as Terry walked over to the trio and got turned back into a card.
"Well, now seems like a good time as any," Ursula said. "See ya!" The A-Team said as they fled for the exit.
"I don't believe it. They got the Saichania!" Max said annoyed as Rex swiped his card on his Dino Holder turning Ace back into chibi size.
"Ace, thank you," Rex said, but Ace ran away from him. "Hey, where you going?" Ace hid behind Zoe. "I Don't get what's going on with him anymore?" Rex said annoyed.
"I think I might know. I learned something from Paris that might explain their feelings." Zoe said.
"Like what?" Rex asked.
"What they really want is to make us happy so when you scolded him today, he tried fixing what he did wrong so you wouldn't be mad at him anymore," Zoe explained.
"And I told him he made it worse…" Rex said realizing why Ace was running away from him. "Oh Ace, I'm sorry pal. I should never yell at you like that. Friendship's more important than any dumb old book." Rex said hugging Ace.
Max smiled and then turned to face his dad. "Do you think we should head home now?" He asked.
"Yeah, but I really wanted that Saichania." Dr. Taylor said disappointingly.
"I just want to know who those guys are and why they're out here gathering up dinosaur cards," Max said.
On a mysterious island…
Dr. Z was cackling as he placed Tank's card into a large machine. "Good job, A-Team!" He congratulated the trio. "He was a bit docile, so I modified his personality into a more aggressive one using the Alpha Controller." He laughed again summoning Tank in chibi form.
"I don't know, he still looks pretty tame to me," Ed said as he went over to pet him, but stopped when Tank began growling at the trio and jumped at them. They screamed and ran with Tank pushing Ed from behind.
"Maybe you should dial it back?!" Zander said.
"Or just turn it off!" Ursula cried out.
Tank chased the trio back and forth until he went over to Dr. Z and forced him to get on top of him riding him like an out-of-control bull. Since the top half of Tank was covered in sharp osteotomes, the ride wasn't very pleasant.
"Ouch! Stop!" Dr. Z cried out.
They both crashed into a wall with Tank landing on top of him. He then noticed something about the dinosaur. "Ah!" Dr. Z said.
"What is it, Dr. Z?" Ed asked.
"It would seem that this dinosaur is a female." He replied.
"What?!" The trio responded.
"It's a good thing Ursula picked a good name for her," Zander said.
"That would also explain why she's so aggressive," Ed said.
"What's that supposed to mean, Ed?!" Ursula said hitting Ed in the head. Then, Terry and Spiny came into the room and noticed Tank on top of Dr. Z and they both jumped in on the fun. "Wait! AHHHH!" Dr. Z shouted.

Apologies for this taking so long to come out. I lost all motivation to continue writing this and was busy playing a lot of Tears of the Kingdom, but I'm back now and feel a little more motivated to write. I know this chapter is shorter than the others, but there wasn't much to add/change here. I do want to make a note that type or attribute advantage/disadvantage is a concept that will play a role in this story. Along with that, move cards will have a cooldown until they can be used again. Super move cards will have a longer cooldown as they deal the most damage, and normal move cards will have a shorter cooldown. I still haven't decided on the specific time for the move cards, but at the moment I have super at 5-7 minutes and normal at 1-2 minutes. Let me know what you guys think.

Are you going to use species that are not featured in dinosaur king?
I'm not sure if you mean different dinosaur species, flying reptiles, marine reptiles, or animals that live in the ice age. I do plan on using dinosaurs that didn't show up in the anime. However, this story will only use animals from the Mesozoic era.

This will span into season 2.
I do plan on using moves that weren't in the anime.
I plan on writing a small prequel series explaining how Dr. Z and Dr. Ancient met, along with some backstory on the Alpha Gang. This will all lead up to the events that were explained in season 1's finally.
I'm still unsure about writing a chapter where the government gets involved because sounds way too complicated, but I'll see if I can try.
