Killua groaned as he slipped back into consciousness, the light of the window hitting his eyes. He attempted to raise his arm, only to feel a small sting on his forearm, causing him to become more alert.
"Don't move! Your arm is broken, remember?"
'Ah… That's right.' Killua thought, recalling how punching Goku had broken his bone. 'Tch…But still. Can't believe we really managed to punch him…'
Turning his head slowly, he saw his sister, Gon, as well as Goten all at his bedside. Behind them was a large book on the ground. His sight was still a bit too blurry to process the words, but he faintly caught the sight of some kind of animal adorning the cover. They were probably reading it while waiting for him to awaken. It seemed that Gon and Alluka had already changed back into their old clothes, Both of them looking very refreshed. Gon still had some bruises on his face and arms, though.
"Hey guys…" Killua weakly greeted them.
"We're really glad you're awake!" Gon smiled in relief. "You had us all worried, you know?"
"It doesn't hurt too bad does it?"Alluka asked, her gaze intently on him.
The pain wasn't anything to speak of… Especially compared to what he felt an hour ago. Besides this was hardly the first time he's broken a bone. Although the sluggish feeling adorning his body was quite bothersome.
"Nah… Just feel tired from the effects of the technique." He sighed.
"That reminds me!" Goten perked up, his eyes widening. "I'll go get dad! He has something to take care of your arm."
He scampered out of the room, Killua watching him a bit confused. "Why didn't Goku just heal my arm with his ki?"
"Apparently he has something much more effective. He said it'd be really cool." Gon shrugged.
A few seconds passed before Goten walked back in, Goku being dragged by his arm.
"Yo Killua! I got something for ya." Goku gave an easy grin, raising his arm and in his hand was… A bean? "Think fast, Gon."
Goku used his thumb to flip the bean toward his friend, the latter catching it with ease before holding up to his eye. "What's this?"
"We call that a Senzu bean." Goku said, pointing his finger at the two of them. "Try eating it, Killua."
The three of them stared at him, dumbfounded. Father and son grinned identically and chuckled at their reactions.
"Eh?" The three children muttered.
"Just trust me."
The three of them looked at each other before shrugging, Gon gingerly handing the bean over, which Killua took with his still functioning other arm.
'Here goes nothing…' He thought, eyeing the bean curiously before popping it into his mouth. As he chewed, he noticed that the bean didn't bean didn't particularly taste like anything. It was completely flavorless. It was after swallowing it though, that he finally began feeling something.
Killua, Gon, and Alluka watched, completely enchanted as all of Killua's bruises faded away almost instantly. A small clicking sound was heard as his bone reattached itself within his forearm, the bruising surrounding it disappearing just as quickly.
"Huh…" Killua said, dumbfounded.
Alluka slowly looked up at her brother, her face in slight disbelief. "How do you feel…?"
Answering her question, Killua stood on the bed, back flipping into a handstand with his former broken arm.
No pain. Along with that he even felt really energized!
"I feel… really good." He smiled, landing back on his feet. "Amazing, even!"
"Wow!" Alluka gaped, looking back at Goku. "Where did you get something like that?!"
"I got it from a place called, 'Korrin's tower'." Goku explained. "The owner, Korin, grows them and gives them to us sometimes. He's a good friend."
'It healed all of his injuries, even his arm in no time… This reminds me of the Angel's breath card back on greed island.' Gon thought to himself, thumb on his chin. 'I wonder if it can grow limbs back too…'
"How does he make them? I wanna see." Alluka inquired, making Goten grab his father's pants.
"Yeah dad. I wanna see how they're made too."
"Well alright!" Goku raised his hands at the sudden attention. "I can take you guys there tomorrow if you really want to."
Both of the younger children cheered while Gon walked up to Goku. "Do you know someone named Dende?"
"Huh?" Goku turned back to Gon. "Oh. Yeah. I know him. Do you guys wanna visit him too?"
"Yes." Gon nodded. "Remember those training weights I told you about a few minutes ago?"
Goku nodded, prompting Gon to continue.
"He's the one who created them. He gave them to Videl who then gave it to us. We were hoping you'd take us there so we can thank him properly." He rubbed his head bashfully. "I was gonna ask Videl yesterday, but I forgot cause I was too excited for the fight."
"Yeah, no problem." Goku shrugged, smiling. "You know, Dende actually lives above Korin's tower. So after we visit him we can just head on up to the lookout."
"He lives 'above him'? What do you mean?" Killua raised an eyebrow.
"Oh. Dende lives on a floating lookout that's above Korin's tower." Goku said, completely nonchalant.
"A FLOATING lookout?" All three of them gaped.
"Yup. It's a really good place to train and, well, it has some pretty good food, too." Goku went on.
"If you guys plan on training there, make sure to take it slow at first." Goten interrupted. "The air is really thin up there, so just pace yourself while you adapt to it."
Goku nodded at his son's warning, remembering how he had tired out a little quicker when training up there. At least before he got used to it.
"Okay." Alluka and the two others nodded. "Why does Dende live up that high?"
"He's the guardian of the earth." Goku responded.
"The guardian of Earth?" Alluka inquired, all of them curious. Goten once again stepped in to inform them.
"The Guardian of earth basically keeps watch over the planet. The people, animals, everyone." He said, parroting what Gohan had told him when he was younger. "Usually, the guardian isn't allowed to leave the lookout. They can only do so in moments of intense crisis."
"You mean like, natural disasters or something?" Killua asked.
Goten shook his head. "No. I mean like, when the whole planet is in danger."
The three children's eyes widened at that.
'That makes sense…' Killua nods to himself. 'With Goku being as strong as he is, there's no doubt that he's probably fought people that strong who wanted to destroy stuff at least a couple of times. Goten could probably also be referring to something like a massive meteor shower or something…'
"Like what happened with Cell, right?" Gon asked, having been told by Videl.
"Yeah." Goku nodded. "Or Frieza. Or Maj-." Goku's eyes widened as Goten quietly pressed his elbow, helping him remember the wish they had made to erase everyone's memories of the big pink bulbous entity. "U-um. Actually it was just those two… Well, them and King Piccolo.
"Frieza?" Alluka asked.
"King Piccolo?" Gon's face scrunched.
"King Piccolo was a bad guy who I beat when I was a kid." Goku explained.
"Is he related to the Piccolo I met?" Gon asked.
"He is actually." Goku nodded. "King Piccolo was his father."
"Ooohhh…" Gon hit his hand with his fist as a lightbulb appeared above his head. Finally understanding something Gohan and Videl had told him. "Gohan told me that he used to be a bad guy, but later on turned good. Was the reason he was bad because he wanted revenge on you for beating his old man?"
"Yup." The older man nodded. "But Piccolo was never as bad as his dad. Honestly, I think he just really thought he needed to kill me cause he had nothing else to do. When he met Gohan though, he started softening up and before we knew it, he was on our side."
"Ah! Ok. Gotcha!" Gon nodded.
"What about Frieza?" Alluka then asked.
"Frieza was an alien we fought out in space." Goku continued. "He ended up surviving and came here to try and destroy Earth, but he got taken care of."
"An alien?! Like the little grey men with the flying saucers and psychic powers?" Alluka bounced in excitement.
"Well his skin was white and had weird purple orbs but, yeah I guess so." Goku scratched his chin, chuckling at their enthusiasm.
"Wow…" Gon muttered, Killua whistling in the background.
Alluka paused for a moment, unnoticeable to anyone, struggling for a bit before turning to Gon and Killua. "D-do you guys think aliens have ever come to our world?!" She yelled out loud, a forced grin etched onto her face.
Gon and Killua stared at Alluka in surprise, followed by looks of confusion between Goten and Goku.
"Your world…?" Goku asked. "Oh! Are you guys from another planet or something?"
"U-um… Well…" Alluka stammered, looking down at the ground. They were interrupted as they heard a loud sigh come from the entrance of the door.
"I guess this is as good a time to talk about this as any…" Chi-Chi appeared, walking over to them and crossing her arms.
"U-um… What do you-" Gon tried to ask before being interrupted by the older woman.
"I did some research on your 'homes'. Only to find that Whale island is a military training facility, and that Kukuroo Village doesn't exist."
Killua, Gon and Alluka looked away sheepishly, Alluka scratching her cheek and looking down guiltily. "...Sorry…"
"I'm not mad, sweetheart. I understand that you guys probably thought telling us you were from a different planet would be… More than a little ridiculous." Chi-Chi consoled, rubbing the young girl's head.
"Considering what we just heard about an alien invading your planet and Gon telling us there was a killer monster named 'Cell' a few years back, I guess it makes sense that you wouldn't be too surprised…" Killua muttered.
"Oh no, kid. Trust me when I say that we've dealt with a LOT of weird things back in the day. Plus Accepting aliens as a real thing is a lot easier considering I'm married to one." Chi-Chi chuckled.
"Married to… Hold up." Killua said, abruptly turning to Goku. "You're an alien?"
"Yep! Sent here to earth when I was a baby." He proclaimed proudly. "I came from a planet called, 'Planet Vegeta'. The people there were called Sayains."
"Huh…" Gon muttered. "Sayains sure do look like humans…"
"The only difference between the two races is that Sayains have monkey looking tails. Plus their hairstyles never change" Goku clarified. "Mine got caught off when I was younger, though. What about you guys? The three of you look awfully human yourselves."
"We are humans." Killua spoke up. "We're not actually from outer space. The thing is, we were teleported here from another dimension."
The three of the family members stared at them a bit, before speaking again. "Another… Dimension?" Chi-Chi asked.
"Well… The thing is… Okay look." Killua closed his eyes, his thumbs massaging his forehead. "Have any of you guys ever heard of 'multiverse theory'?" Killua asked, having heard about it from his Cringey older brother, Milluki.
"Oh I have!" Gon eagerly raised his hand. "Trunks told me about it. It's like…" He paused, trying to find the right words for his explanation. "Like you guys are from a place called Earth. With humans and similar cultures and all that stuff. But a lot of things can be different like food, animals, history and sometimes even science and magic."
"Yeah! That's it exactly." Killua nodded, sending an appreciative look toward Goten. "So basically, just think of it this way… it's basically Earth but, you know, with everything Goten said."
"Well that's a new one…" Chi-Chi muttered. She turned to her husband. "I don't think even you've ever been to another universe, have you honey?"
"Mmm… not that I can remember…" Goku pondered. "In terms of travelling through space I've only ever been to…." Goku paused, counting with his fingers while quietly muttering. "I think it was… Three planets. Plus Supreme Kai's world and King Kai's world in the afterlife."
"The…what?" Killua asked, him and Gon looking at him with poker faces. Alluka merely tilted her head.
"Oh, I'll tell you guys about it later." Goku waved it off. "But man, another universe! I wonder if that's why your energies felt a little weird during those attacks you showed." He said.
"In our world, we commonly call our aura, Nen." Gon informed them. "It works differently than Ki, so that's probably why it felt a bit off to you."
"In our world, there's also a lot more gravity." Killua mentioned. "That's why, even though we're human, we're a lot stronger here."
"How high is the gravity over there?" Goku asked.
The three children looked at each other, Gon shrugging with a frown. Killua looked back at Goku, equally ignorant. "Not sure. We never checked."
"Oh that's alright." Gokua said, his expression brightening as he suddenly got an idea. "Hey, maybe we can use Bulma's gravity chamber to find out!"
Upon seeing the confused faces of the children, Chi-Chi stifled a laugh. "One thing at a time dear." She said patiently before turning back to them. "For now, I'm sure the three of you are very hungry. What would you say to tell us how you got to this world while we eat, hmm?"
"Sounds good to me!' Gon smiled, patting his stomach.
"Thank you very much for understanding Chi-Chi!" Alluka said as she glomped on the older woman. Chi-Chi smiled and patted her head as Killua stretched his arms behind his back.
"Need any help setting everything up?" Killua offered.
"Oh no. Everything's already on the table. We were just waiting for you to wake up." Chi-Chi said, before turning away and walking out of the room.
The six of them sat down and, after a quick prayer, all of them started digging in at different speeds.
"I'm the one who had to make up the back stories." Killua said, digging his spoon within his rice bowl. "These two felt bad about lying and Gon really sucks at it. So I just told them to not say anything. Or at the very least to keep things as vague as possible."
"I don't think I did that well." Gon muffled, swallowing a half of a chicken leg at incredible speeds. "Honestly, considering you talked with Gohan about it, I think I made him and Videl suspicious of me. Is Whale Island really a military base?"
"From what I, my father, and my friend Bulma researched, yes. It did seem to be." Chi-Chi shrugged as she slowly ate at her plate.
"Man… Kinda hard to imagine that. In my world, it's pretty much just a small community of people living there peacefully. I only met one other kid on that Island you know." Gon said, "Although considering this is a different world, I shouldn't be too surprised. I wonder if it even has the same geography…"
"Doubt it…" Killua shook his head. He gathered all of his thoughts, taking in everything that happened and ordering them in the most understandable way possible. "Anyway, Our story may take a little while. In order to explain how we got here, I'm gonna have to explain everything about our journey."
"There's no rush." Chi-Chi shrugged. "Please, take your time."
"Yeah! We wanna hear everything about your world!" Goten grinned, moving on to his second plate of fried rice.
"Alright then." Killua inhaled deeply. "Here goes…"
Killua explained everything. From his and Alluka's origin within the confines of the Zoldyck household, which understandably left Chi-Chi and Goten in particular quite saddened, and Gon's true origin on his Whale Island.
He then went over their journey's up until they got here. From them starting out at the Hunter Exam, their training at Heaven's Arena, Their Ventures in York New and a literal Video Game land, The Chimera Ant invasion to finally finding Ging Freecss and Alluka and Nanika.
Finally, he reached the part about how they got here…
Flashback...
It had been about a month since Gon had finally met his father, Ging promising to eventually train with Gon after he finished up with business elsewhere. Both had given each other their cell numbers and occasionally remained in contact.
Gon then decided to travel with Killua and Alluka for a short while, as a way to pay his friend back for all of the help he had provided on their journey. Killua had agreed as, considering how their family was constantly after both him, Alluka, and Nanika, he would need all the help he could get.
Having Gon around would not only give him an extra set of eyes and ears, as well as someone to bounce ideas off of, but also provide a sparring partner for them both to continue getting stronger.
Training, after all, was much more effective with someone there to help push you to your limits rather than just trying to get stronger on your own.
Today, the four of them had decided to go to a mysterious abandoned village of ancient origin. According to the brochure, this site was said to be one of the bigger areas of settlement in the ancient world, easily covering a few miles of the mountainous region. Seeing as how it was a very popular tourist site, as well as them having shaken Illumi from their tail, they decided to see what it had to offer.
The preserve was relatively empty. It was Monday in the afternoon and most people were at work today. Knowing this, Killua chose this time as for it to not be swamped with people.
"I can't believe someone used to live here…" Alluka muttered, eyeing the replica of a stone home.
It was particularly small, only having room for the fire place in the middle of the room, two pieces of animal fur on the floor as well as a spear next to the entrance. There also seemed to be a small shrine decorated with little trinkets, presumably in honor of whatever religion this ancient civilization once worshipped.
"I saw a river earlier where we were climbing to reach the entrance. Do you think that's where they got their water from, Gon?" Alluka looked to the older boy, her brother having gone to the bathroom stall.
"Could be. But it's also possible that, back then, that river wouldn't have been there." He smiled at her.
"What? Why wouldn't it be there back then?" Alluka asked, looking confused.
"Geography changes over time, Alluka." He explained patiently. "A lot of things could have happened to make that river, like an earthquake crack leading into a wider body of water further up the mountain, or the ice atop the mountain eventually melting to form it."
"Ohhh."
She put her thumb to her chin in a contemplative look, pouting when she couldn't come up with anything. "If it wasn't that river, which one do you think it was?"
"Hmm…" Gon looked around. "I'm sure there's a panel here that explains that. Let's wait for Killua dn then we'll go find it together, alright?"
"Kay."
As they waited, Alluka took the time to check in on a certain someone…
'Nanika!' Alluka thought loudly. 'Are you okay? You're really quiet today.'
Nanika had hardly said a word from the moment they had woken up. Alluka thought they would be excited to be here, seeing as they were the one who wanted to visit the most. They're current quiet demeanor was really beginning to worry her.
'I am alright. I just… I sense something weird nearby.'
'You sense something weird.' Alluka parroted, inwardly frowning. 'Like what?'
'I do not know. I have never sensed anything like this before.'
Alluka looked around, her frown finally making itself present on her face. Gon eyed her from the side. "What's up?"
"Nanika said she sensed something weird…" Alluka looked at him, grabbing the edge of his shirt.
"Oh really?" Gon asked, his face furrowing. "Nanika, are you alright? We can leave if it bothers you so much…"
Alluka closed her eyes, handing over control to Nanika so that they could explain themselves better.
"I am fine, Gon. It is not a bad feeling. I am just really curious as to what it is. Could we check quickly?"
"Can you sense where it is?" Gon inquired.
"Yes. it is very close to where we are."
Gon nodded at Nanika, putting his hand in his pocket as he followed them to where this strange feeling was.
Meanwhile, with Killua…
Said boy really needed to use the bathroom. Unfortunately, the nearest stall was at the halfway point from where they had climbed. With his superior speed, it of course took barely anytime to get there. It was a mere annoyance to him.
After finally exiting, he went over to the side of the road, as jumping from tree to tree would help him get there faster.
Just as he reached the wooded area, careful in avoiding security, he suddenly felt a chill run down his spine as a very familiar presence…
Turning off to the side, he saw a face, one of which he had been dreading.
"Hello big brother." Said Kalluto, a small smile adorning his usually cliff face. "How have you been?"
Without even hesitating, Killua activated his whirlwind, ready to react to any sudden movement his brother made. Especially if that certain someone else was nearby...
Kalluto frowned at Killua's actions but said nothing. He walked closer, his gaze never leaving his sibling. "I've come for you, brother. We all want you to come back home…"
"Flattered, but I'm gonna have to pass." Killua said, gritting his teeth. He couldn't help but feel a bit guilty for abandoning his youngest sibling though. He didn't know Kalluto that well, but was aware of the envy he had toward Alluka for their relationship. Which was why he then said…"You know… You could come with us, right?"
The young child's eyes widened, but only for a split second. He close them just as qickly, shaking his head, refusing. "No." He said, slightly puffing his cheeks. "You're coming back home."
Seeing this was a lost cause for now, Killua then immediately began analyzing the situation. Why would they send Kalluto here to find him all by himself? Surely they must know that he didn't stand a chance.
Unless…
'There's no way he didn't bring someone along…' Killua thought, his mind racing. 'More than likely, Illumi is here too. But if he's not here then…'
His eyes widened in realization.
Aura and Electricity wrapped around his body as he went into Godspeed. Before Kalluto could even think of trying to grab onto his brother, the older of the two had already vanished out of sight.
"Damn…" Kalluto cursed. "Illumi was right. I should have gone with him. Why did I have to get so impatient about seeing him?"
Kalluto sighed as he began dashing into the trees, doing his best to follow Killua's aura signature.
Meanwhile with Gon, Nanika, and Alluka, the three of them had gone off the main area of the museum, jumping over the rails while making sure no one saw them. They followed an old and beaten path of stairs down by the side of the rocky terrain until they reached the small entrance of what seemed to be a cave. Just as they were about to enter, Gon's phone rang. He reached into his back pocket as he and Nanika continued to walk along.
"Hey Killua! How long are you… huh?" He stopped, seemingly interrupted by the former. He held the phone a little away from his ear due to how much wind there seemed to be on the other side.
Slowly, Gon's eyes widened as sweat fell from his forehead at what Killua was telling him. He grabbed hold of Alluka's hand and began to walk faster.
"We're west of the exhibition. You should see an old path of stairs. Go down it and you should see a cave. Follow the path inside until you reach you reach us."
The conversation seemingly over, Gon hung up and put the phone back in his pocket. He then turned and picked Nanika up and placed her on his back piggyback style. He went into Zetsu and dashed into the cave.
"What is wrong?"
Gon turned his head momentarily back at them before facing forward. He was running as fast as he could, the wind making their hair go back as they sped through area.
"Your family found us." He said, his voice grave. "They sent Illumi and Kalluto after us."
Deep from within their body, Nanika felt a shiver of fear. Not from themselves, but rather from Alluka.
'Illumi?! Kalluto?' How'd they find us?!' Alluka mentally screamed, having been told how terrifyingly bad it was to be around Illumi.
'Calm down.'
'I…Oh my gosh what are we gonna do?!'
'More than likely, he does not know where we are. Seeing as we have left the official grounds of the exhibit… He would have stopped us by now if he did. So keep calm.'
Alluka quieted down a little, before asking in a meek tone… 'But… What if Killua has to fight Illumi and Kalluto alone? What if they catch him?'
'Alluka... Do you think anyone could catch OUR big brother?'
Alluka remained silent, taking in Nanika's words. They all knew that Illumi was incredibly powerful, but Nanika indeed made a good point. Even at his fastest, he wouldn't be able to catch Killua while he was using Godspeed. And it's not like Killua would go out of his way to make his presence known to him. He would definitely find a way to sneak past both of them.
This is what Alluka thought in order to comfort herself.
Eventually, the three of them encountered an ancient looking entrance. Gon slowed down and gingerly opened and closed it, as to make it seem like they had never been there in the first place.
As soon as they turned around, Nanika gasped and pointed to a mysterious object within the room.
"There. It is that. That is what causes that odd feeling."
Gon blinked, seeing a dark object hidden at the edge of the room. "What the..?" He muttered. The object seemed to be surrounded by small pillars. The ground it stood on seemed to have once been heavily decorated. Likely the design of the culture and tradition these people once held.
"So that's what you've been feeling?" Gon said, placing Nanika back down on the ground. Nanika walked up to the object casually, eyeing it with intense curiosity.
"There is no doubt."
Nanika handed control back to Alluka, allowing her and Gon behind them to get a good look.
Upon closer inspection, it seemed to be some type of machine, somewhat resembling a refrigerator but big enough to easily fit a few people on it. Gon placed his hand on the smooth metallic surface.
"With how sensitive the entrance felt, it must've been closed for a really long time…but this thing…" He analyzed, running his hand over it.
"Yeah… It almost looks brand new." Alluka said, noticing how the machine didn't look the slightest bit rusted or damaged. There was absolutely no decay whatsoever.
"Was this really here for that long…" Gon said, placing his thumb underneath his chin. "Seems really out of place… I can't even find a little bit of dust!"
Before they could continue to study it, the sound of the entrance opening emanated through the vast space. Gon and Alluka turned around, the younger girl immediately hiding behind Gon, who activated his aura.
"Gon! Alluka! Nanika!" Killua called out, running up the stairs. "You guys okay?"
They both sighed in relief as they approached him. Alluka clung desperately to her older brother while Gon stood off to his side, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Was he really there?" Gon asked, his voice serious.
"Caught a glimpse of him in the crowd, yeah." Killua nodded gravely. "But thankfully, he didn't seem to notice. I went off the beaten path using Zetsu, so that's why it took a bit to get here. If I had used Godspeed the whole way there's no way he wouldn't have sensed me."
All three of them relaxed, knowing that at the very least, they had managed to get to a place that would take them a while to find. Besides, now that they had good distance, they could simply wish for Illumi and Kalluto to go back to the Zoldyck manor. They were absolutely safe.
"I really hate when we have to run away…" Gon muttered, looking down in disappointment. "I swear, as soon as I'm strong enough I'm gonna kick his butt!"
"Get in line." Killua said, flatly. He then turned and began eying the machine the other two had previously been occupied with.
"So is this why you two decide to go down here in the first place? Not that I'm complaining but this area is off limits to the public you know…"
"Nanika wanted to come down here." Gon answered.
"Nanika…?" Killua turned to face his two siblings. "Is that true? How come?"
Alluka closed her eyes and allowed Nanika to resume control once more.
"It gives off a very strange feeling, for some reason."
Killua raised a brow. He looked at Gon who merely shrugged. "What kind of 'feeling'?"
Nanika pursed their lips, eyes closing in quiet contemplation.
"It is… not a feeling I have felt before and yet… I feel connected to it in some way…"
The three of them looked back at the machine, Nanika stepping closer to it.
"I would like to see what is inside."
Killua shrugged, both him and Gon tensing up just in case there was something unexpected inside. "I'll open it." Killua said, stepping in front of Nanika.
Gingerly, he grabbed the handle and slowly opened it to find it devoid of anything, but a small screen and keyboard stuck to the wall.
"Don't know what I was expecting but it definitely wasn't this…" Killua muttered, Gon and Nanika nodding behind him.
The three of them warily stepped inside the open space and stared directly into the black screen.
"There is no way this was here for so long. Someone had to have put it here recently." Gon stated.
"That goes without saying…" Killua muttered in agreement.
The keyboard was relatively small compared to the keyboard of a normal computer, only having the number keys and the on and off key.
Nanika handed control back to Alluka, the little girl hovering her finger over the buttons. "Nanika says they want to try turning it on…"
Looking over to the two boys they both shared a look of contemplation before nodding. "Go ahead. It doesn't seem like anything dangerous yet."
Alluka's finger then hovered over the On button. She hesitated for a bit before taking in a deep breath and pushing on it gingerly.
Not even two seconds later, the screen turned on, as indicated by the green text on it.
Loading…
Everyone gazed intently at the object, waiting for something to happen. They held their breath as that single word remained on screen. Almost a minute later, the screen finally changed.
Select world.
"Select… world?" Alluka's face scrunched up.
"This is seriously so weird…" Killua stated.
"What could it mean…" Gon muttered.
As the two boys began debating, Nanika's voice took Alluka's attention. Hearing them within her thoughts.
'Put in the number, 0-4-0-5-5-5.'
'What? Why?'
'Just to see what happens…'
Assuming it was just a random number that Nanika had thought up, she turned to the two boys to tell them what they said.
"I don't know…" Killua said, squinting his eyes at the machine a little.
"I kinda wanna see it." Gon stated, both he and Alluka looking over at Killua. The silver haired boy looked between the two of them, before sighing and lowering his head, nodding.
Alluka then slowly put in the numbers, her forehead dropping sweat in nervousness. As soon as the last number was typed in, the door of the machine slammed shut, stunning the three children.
"What the?!"
"He-hey! What gives?!"
As the machine softly hummed, Gon and Killua both tried banging on the door to no avail. Then just as Gon was going to try and bust down the door with his Ja-Janken, a bright light enveloped all of them.
When the light dissipated, the three children were gone without a trace. The door opened once again, with the screen reading.
World transfer complete. Shutting off now.
"Before we knew it, we woke up in the middle of nowhere." Killua finished. "It took about two days before we were able to find a secluded ranch. The couple living there were nice enough to give us directions to West city."
"Since we didn't have anything better to do, we mostly just focused on adjusting to the new gravity." Gon said. "There, we also found out about all the World Tournaments and about you Goku! So we decided to see if you could help make us stronger."
"Wow…" Goku smiled. "Sounds like you guys have had your fair share of troubles."
"Yes.. That sounds like quite the adventure." Chi-Chi noted. "This is a rather secluded area though… How were you able to find us?"
"We were able to find the guy who is the world tournament announcer and he told us that you lived here on Mt. Paozu."
"Oh yeah! The one with the sun glasses." Goku remembered fondly. "He asked me where I came from one time when I was participating."
"His glasses looked really cool!" Alluka said.
"I know right!" Goku grinned back at her. He then looked up in contemplation. "Actually, now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever seen him NOT wearing those. He must really like them a lot." He grabbed at his shirt, smiling. "I kinda get it. I mean I used to wear my Gi all the time without taking it off. So who am I to judge right?"
"All the time?" Alluka squinted. "That's kinda nasty…"
"Oh yes he used to…" Chi-Chi nodded, growing in disapproval. "Thankfully though I wash them regularly. And he has more than one of the same Gi now." She looked at him. "It's no wonder you smelt so bad when we met up in the past."
Goku crossed his arms and looked to the side. "I used to go swimming in the water when I felt dirty. Gimme some credit! I didn't exactly have any money to buy shampoo…"
He then looked back at the three of them. "More importantly, can you guys tell me about some of the fighters from your world? I really wanna know what kinda Nen powers they have."
"Yeah!" Goten nodded along. "Also, tell us about the animals! Are there any over there that you couldn't see here?"
The five of them sat together, continuing to exchange knowledge and stories about their respective worlds. Both the good and bad. Killua Gon and Alluka no longer worried about having to hide any secret.
Deep with Alluka though, her heart was still a little conflicted. She after all hadn't revealed all her secrets... She and Nanika still had a plan to go through, and she was going to make sure not to betray her friend's expectations again.
Within Alluka's mind, Nanika smiled.
The second act has now begun.
A/N
Hey guys, hope you had a wonderful holiday! If I had to estimate, I'd say we're about more or less half way through the story. My plan is to finish this up before the end of this year. Here's hoping.
Hope you all have a fantastic day and I'll you all in the next chapter of Dragon Hunter ZX!
