Early in the afternoon, a pale yellow ship blasted across the sky, proudly bearing the symbol of Capsule Corps on its side.
"Mom… Can't we just fly there?" Trunks whined, latching off Bulma's lap from where she sat.
"I agree." Vegeta grunted. "We could have been there by now if we had."
"Oh quit complaining you two." Bulma waved her hand dismissively. "Flying with machines is way better than what you two do! It's like being on a roller coaster. Plus it gives me the chance to keep my piloting skills sharp."
She did a barrel roll which nearly caused Trunks to nearly fly off the seat, the young boy laughing a little as it did. Vegeta merely remained cliff faced.
"See? Not too bad right?" Bulma grinned, ruffling Trunks' hair. "It's a lot better because you're not the one in control of your movements. Since your muscles don't tense up during the maneuvers, it allows for a way more thrilling experience. Also the wind will ruin my hair due a lot more than this will."
The ship began to descend as they gradually grew closer to a mountain range. "And you can't tell me you don't like spending time together as a family. Isn't that right sweetie?"
Trunks blushed a little as he kept pushing against his mother's one armed hug. "Mom…"
The ship eventually came to a stop right in front of the home of Son Goku and his family. Opening the hatch, Trunks quickly jumped out and went for the door, knocking.
"I'm coming!" A voice came from the other side.
The door opens and Chi-Chi smiles down at her son's best friend. "Hi Trunks. How are you?"
"I'm good ma'am." Trunks nods respectfully at her. "How are you? Is Goten here?"
"I'm fine, thank you." She nodded at him. "As for Goten, he's reading books with Alluka in his room." She informs, moving out of the way to let him through. He jogs into the house, letting out a quick 'thank you' as he does. Chi-Chi looks back up to see Bulma and Vegeta approaching the house slowly, some residual smoke from the capsule shrinking just barely leaving the spot it once was.
"Hi, Chi-Chi!" Bulma greeted with a friendly grin, Vegeta giving a small nod beside her.
"Welcome to Mt. Paoz, you two." Chi-Chi grinned back at them. "Make yourselves at home! You want something to drink?"
"That sounds really nice, thanks." Bulma nodded gratefully, before playfully pointing at her husband. "He on the other hand…"
Vegeta stared at Chi-Chi intently, the latter gazing at him right back without flinching. As if she was able to read his mind, she told him in a deadpan tone. "He's training with Gon and Killua in the south."
Vegeta nodded curtly, before taking off in that direction.
"Saiyans, right?" Bulma rolled her eyes, making Chi-Chi exhale and nod in aggreement. She moved to the side and gestured for the blue haired woman to come in, closing the door once she did.
Meanwhile, Trunks opened the door to his best friend's room excitedly. "Yo Goten! What's going on?!"
Said boy was sitting beside Alluka, a large book in between the two of them. They raised their heads in surprise at the sudden arrival.
"Hi Trunks!" Goten cheered, getting up from his spot to greet his friend. "Are you ready to go?"
"Heck yeah! Let's do it!" Trunks smirked, beginning to head for the door. He turned back upon realizing he had forgotten the other child's presence "Oh, hey Alluka."
"Hey Trunks…" She waved her hand awkwardly.
"C'mon Alluka! Let's go." Goten nodded at her. Alluka's smile widened more at the other boy, eagerly nodding as she made to follow after them.
"Are you sure we should have her follow along?" Trunks asked Goten.
Not knowing what the issue was with that, Alluka stepped forward to him. "U-um. Is me going with you a problem?" Alluka asked shyly.
"We're gonna be sparring as Super Sayains. No offense, but you're too weak to fight us at that level." Trunks bluntly stated, crossing his arms behind his head as he continued to walk.
Alluka lowered her head. While it was true what he said, it did sting a little. Goten glared at Trunks, looking in between them. Turning around to see Alluka's frown, he realized he might have been a little too blunt…
"A-I didnt mean that we don't want you around or anything!" He stammered, waving his hands in front of her frantically while attempting to correct himself. "I just mean that we don't want you to get hurt, that's all!"
Alluka looked back up at him nodding as she looked a little less upset. "Oh… That makes sense."
"We can hold back for a little bit." Goten said diplomatically. "After she gets tired and decides to sit out, then we can go all out."
"What?!" Trunks whined. "But-"
Goten stopped him with another glare, gesturing toward the girl who was holding her hands to her chest closely, fidgeting with her fingers as she smiled nervously.
He huffed before forcing a grin and a thumbs up. "Alright, fine! But we're not gonna go too easy on you!"
"R-right!" Allluka chirped. "I'll do my best."
With that, the three opened the door and headed outside, but not before Goten and Trunks informed both of their mothers. Just as they were out the door, the boys turned back to speak loudly.
"Mom! We're heading out!" Trunks cried out.
"Alluka's coming with us! We'll be back at around lunch like you told me yesterday." Goten added.
"Alright!" Bulma responded.
"You guys be careful!" Chi-Chi followed up. "Oh! And be gentle with Alluka!"
"We will!"
Alluka called for the flying nimbus as she waited for the other two to finish talking to the two older women. Hearing the door close, she looked back to see them standing just in front of her.
"Try to keep up!" Trunks said, taking off into the sky after he finished a quick arm stretch. The other two rocketed off after him, the group disappearing into the distance.
"Soo~ Another dimension, huh? That's definitely new." Bulma said, before biting a small biscuit. "And this, 'Earth', of theirs has a higher gravity?"
"That's what they told me." Chi-Chi nodded, while sipping her tea. "In hindsight, it does kind of explain some things that happened during my training with Alluka…"
"Oh? What kinds of things?" Bulma leaned forward.
"She had a lot of trouble controlling her own strength. She always looked like she was struggling with punching and kicking with the right amount of power. Not just in training though… When she held glass bottles when she was drinking something, her hands were constantly fidgeting and shaking whenever she held the cup. She started to ask for straws when I asked about it." Chi-Chi explained. "It was kind of similar to how it was with Goku when he got back from space after that whole Namek fiasco. Or when he and Gohan came out of that weird time room."
"Did you get knocked into another boulder?" Bulma asked seriously, but with a hint of a teasing pitch in her tone, making Chi-Chi glare at her a little.
"I took that into account. So we didn't spar directly." She said flatly, before pointing a finger accusingly. "Also, not funny. That REALLY hurt you know…"
"Sorry, sorry…" Bulma raised her hand defensively. "Just joking around."
Upon finishing their respective snacks, Chi-Chi took all of the plates and began washing them at a slow pace while continuing to converse with Bulma.
"I saw this really good recipe online." Bulma said casually, helping with drying and organizing the plates after Chi-Chi finished cleaning them. "I think we should give it a shot for the get together today, Don't you?"
She held out her phone to Chi-Chi's side, the latter glancing at it while she finished the last plate. "That looks really good! We can serve it up for dessert."
She handed the last plate to Bulma while she turned off the faucet and dried her hands. "Let's just hope we can find a way for everyone to have a piece of it without Goku or Vegeta scarfing it all down."
"Don't forget Goten and Trunks trying to sneak a piece off." Bulma snorted. "You think that Gon or Killua…"
"Maybe. I did catch them nibbling on a piece of cheese while I was making dinner one time." Chi-Chi chuckled.
"So…" Bulma suddenly said, having remembered something, "You said Gon and Killua were further down the mountain training with Goku?"
"That's right." Chi-Chi nodded. "They left pretty early, even before Goten and Alluka got up. I gave them a quick breakfast before they left."
Bulma smirked, knowingly. "With how long they've been down there, especially with Vegeta joining them, They're gonna be pretty starving when they get back." She shook her head in fondness. "Knowing that, are you sure we're gonna have enough food for the guests, PLUS the super hungry Sayains?"
Chi-Chi looked at her poor, soon to be empty fridge, a twitch developing in her eye before sighing. "I may need to stop by the store quickly again…"
"No need." Bulma pulled out her phone, almost smugly. "Hello? Yes, do you remember the amount of food I instructed you to bring? Yeah. Would it be alright if you brought in half of another portion? Alright, thank you."
She twirled her phone in the air before catching it, blowing it as though it were an old fashioned gun and placing it back in her purse.
"Bravo. Very impressive!" Chi-Chi giggled, sighing in relief. "Thank you, Bulma."
"Don't worry about it. Us moms gotta have each other's backs right? It's only fair since you're already going to make most of the preparations." Bulma winked. "You know, I could just bring enough food for everyone. You don't have to cook half of it. I really don't mind!"
"I know, I'm very grateful, thank you." Chi-Chi shook her head. "Cooking is just a really nice stress reliever. Having done it so much over the years it kind of became a personal hobby of mine. Even if you did bring the full portion, I probably wouldn't be able to stop myself from at least making a few appetizers."
"If you say so…" Bulma shrugged, looking out the window. "There's a chance that Vegeta is probably going to be interested in those boys… I hope he goes easy on them."
"At least he won't kill them." Chi-Chi smiled. "Just… Probably seriously maim and injured."
Bulma scoffed, before her eyes brightened up with an idea. "Speaking of them, can you tell me what the new kids are like? I want to hear everything!"
Chi-Chi gladly nodded, beginning to tell her about everything so far, as well as the personalities of the three children and what she thinks of them, the both of them sitting down.
As the two women continued to converse and a little later, cook, waiting for Gohan and Videl to finally arrive so that they could help with preparing the feast, a large dust storm could be seen just down south of the mountain, on a large area with a grassy plain littered in craters, dust and debris flying everywhere. Goku stood to the side as he looked at the three fast figures bouncing around the battlefield.
Gon flew back after a fist smashed into his abdomen, only to be grabbed by his leg and slammed into Killua, both boys smashing into a group of boulders that broke apart on impact.
"Hm. Surely that isn't all you two have!"
Vegeta stood several feet away from them, crossing his arms in a disappointed manner.
A brief spark of electricity shot out from the dust before disappearing just as quickly. Vegeta didn't even flinch when Killua appeared from behind him, fist raised in an attempt to hit the back of his head.
He calmly ducked underneath the punch and sidestepped the kick following it. Killua launched himself into a barrage of attacks against the older spikey haired veteran.
Sensing Gon attempting to sneak up from behind him, Vegeta disappeared from sight, Gon's punch nearly hitting Killua. Thankfully, he managed to tilt his head so that the knuckle of Gon's fist just barely grazed his fist. Both boys crashed together, Killua skidding to a stop before they could trip into the ground.
They rubbed their heads with their hands, accidentally having headbutted each other before turning to glare at Vegeta, who stood to the side with his arms crossed again, looking unamused as he waited for them to get back to fighting.
Sweat trickled down from both of their heads, their ren wavering. During this particular spar, they had been instructed to wear the weights gifted to them by Videl, which along with the intense strain they went through while fighting the warrior prince, was taking quite a toll on their bodies.
They both charged back in, Gon raising his fist while Killua stayed behind him before vanishing from sight.
Vegeta quickly closed the distance, landing a right hook directly into Gon's cheek.
"Foolish boy! Don't expect your opponent to just stay where they are while you rush at him!"
While Gon smashed his hand into the ground to stop his momentum, Killua appeared from above Vegeta, finger raised before pointing it downward.
'Thunderbolt!'
The electricity travelled down fiercely, directly aiming for Vegeta's head only for it to pass directly through him.
Almost immediately after the lightning bolt smashed into the dirt, Killua felt a sharp pain come from his back before he too was sent downward.
Gon attempted to kick Vegeta's head after appearing behind him, only to miss, much to his frustration. They entered a barrage of attacks until one of Vegeta's punches sent Gon flying.
Having managed to block it, Gon was able to continue to concentrate enough to see Vegeta disappear and then feel his presence behind him. He attempted to turn around but quickly realized that he wouldn't be able to do so in time. He tensed his body as he curled in on himself, arms over his head so that he would be ready to take whatever Vegeta threw at him.
From the corner of his eye, he saw Vegeta's hands glow a bright yellow light. Gon managed to shift into Ken just before the beam hit him, lessening the burn inflicted on his body. He yelped as he too was sent spiraling down to the ground, the impact forming a crater.
Sensing the depletion of their aura, as well as seeing their exhaustion as they were barely able to even get up, Vegeta sighed before landing back on the ground.
'Better than I expected…' Vegeta admitted to himself, begrudgingly. 'Obviously they have much room for improvement. At the very least they have a lot of spirit.'
Gon and Killua both wheezed in exhaustion and pain from their respective spots, Goku clapping his hands in the distance.
"Alright boys, you did good work!" Goku complimented them, slowly advancing on Killua's beaten form. "Stay still while I get to you guys! I'll heal you a little with my Ki!"
"Sure…" Killua grumbled tiredly. "Not like… We can move anyways…"
Goku ran to each of them and gave them just enough energy to at least be able to walk back to the house. Gon and Killua nodded gratefully at him but remained where they were.
"No way are we gonna miss this!" Gon said, gasping out, Excitement and exhaustion clear in his eyes.
"Yeah! I wanna see you two fight, old man." Killua said bluntly.
"Oh alright. If that's what you want." Goku smiled. "Just be sure to stay back! We're gonna do a lot of damage to the field."
Both boys sweat dropped as they looked at the already damaged earth, Vegeta scoffing while rolling his eyes.
"I doubt that's much of an issue anymore." Killua said, his eyes lidded in exasperation.
"Just making sure you're far enough away to not get caught up in the dust storm!" Goku bashfully scratched his head. "Ready Vegeta?"
Vegeta grunted in affirmation, hiding a smirk of anticipation.
With that said, Gon and Killua made their way to the forested area, took off the weights and sat on top of the branches to get a better view, meanwhile Goku and Vegeta stood on opposite sides, each settling into their stances.
From start to finish, it was quite the spectacle of strength, ki control and technique for the two boys.
…Or, well, half of it was anyway. The other half they couldn't really follow due to how fast they were going.
Alluka huffed, wiping sweat from her forehead before raising her guard once again. Trunks stood in front of her, his arms crossed with a bored expression adorning his young face while Goten stood to the side with his arms crossed in a similar fashion to his father.
Alluka charged in again, making a beeline toward Trunks who merely narrowed his eyes.
Just as he was in front of him, she dashed toward his side in an attempt to catch him by surprise. She bounced from tree to ground, making sure not to repeat her motions, or move in the same direction.
"C'mon! I thought we were fighting, not jumping around!" Trunks mocked, trying to bait her into making a move.
'When fighting someone, Big brother told me that you should always try to develop strategies…' Alluka thought to herself. 'What are some things I can do to help me hit him?'
She paced herself while gradually climbing higher and higher into the trees, Trunks staying still while keeping track of her energy signature. She could try going into Zetsu, losing him but if the sneak attack failed it would leave her wide open.
'He seems a little impatient…' She thought to herself. 'Maybe if I wait and hide, he'll get angry and I can use that to my advantage. He could get careless and that'll make it easier to sneak up on him…'
Having no other ideas, she decided to go with that one and, without losing momentum, she deactivated her aura and went incognito.
"Huh? She's trying to hide?" Trunks raised a brow, unable to sense the girl anymore. He looked around, trying to catch a glimpse of her, only to not see anything. She must have taken cover...
"What's wrong?! Got scared and ran away?!" Trunks cried out, attempting to bring her out through more teasing.
Nothing happened, causing him to rethink his strategy.
'Teasing and mocking doesn't seem to work on her. Looks like I'm gonna have to come up with something else… Let's see…' Trunks placed a thumb under his chin in contemplation.
He closed his eyes, inwardly focusing on his other senses. His nose sniffed the air, trying to catch her scent. His ears made sure to keep track of any noise that sounded out of place. He felt the air around him, waiting for any change in wind that was caused by her jumping from branch to branch.
He wasn't as good at this as Goten or Gohan was, but he certainly wasn't any slouch. It helped that he spent so much time in nature due to he and Goten having so many play dates when they were younger.
A small shift in the wind occurred, causing him to immediately turn around and find that she was charging straight at him. He maneuvered himself around her, causing her to miss and start plummeting toward the ground.
The young girl's eyes widened, before remembering what Nanika had told her.
Remember. You are much stronger in this world. Falls like this will not harm you. Stay calm.
She grit her teeth, front flipping so that her feet would be the first to touch the ground. Upon landing, she rolled over like she had been taught to before jumping back in the air.
She felt a shock wave from behind her. Glancing behind, she saw the ground explode in dust and energy. Alluka realized that Trunks probably sent a small ki blast her way. She let a small grin escape her, relieved that she had jumped just in time to avoid it.
"Trunks! That was a bit too strong! Be careful please." Goten shouted out at his best friend.
'Crud he's right. I could've hurt her a little too much with that. "Trunks' sweat dropped, making sure to shoot his energy at a much weaker level.
She bounced from the bark of a tree back toward another branch, doing her best to avoid the barrage of energy pellets, sent out by trunks.
Sweat dripped from her forehead. It was difficult enough to avoid the energy attacks, wincing every time one of them managed to burn her, but the lack of experience in keeping her aura activated during battle also took a toll on the girl.
Despite these things, she felt very little fear. The change in demeanor was so gradual that even she did not notice it.
Her ears began to buzz, seemingly cutting out the rest of the world as well as her thoughts. Her heartbeat sped up more and more until she could practically feel it pumping against her chest. Her body felt like it was as light as a feather.
Trunks appeared in front of her suddenly, cutting off one of her jumps by kicking her toward the ground.
Alluka landed roughly, kicking up debris as she attempted to stand up again. Her new found boost in energy allowed for a relatively quick recovery.
So caught up in this new feeling that a tunnel vision began to form as she darted from tree to tree, rolling or running on the ground all to avoid being hit by one of Trunks' attacks. Whether that be a punch, a kick or an energy sphere didn't even register anymore.
For a reason she had yet to even take note of, all of the wounds that she had received, as well as the new ones that kept piling on, no longer hurt her as much as they did before. It was almost as if they had begun to heal on their own.
As she was knocked down once again, all her body could do was force it back up, and rushing back at the lavender haired boy.
Trunks expertly dodged and blocked Alluka's attacks, both Goten and he taken aback at the sudden change in behavior from the seemingly gentle young girl.
'Wow, uh… She sure is… Excited.' Trunks thought to himself, seeing her grin widen. He jumped over one of her punches, turned and landed a clean hit on her cheek.
He was surprised however, when he found that she wasn't knocked down again, instead having managed to firmly plant her feet on the ground and take it head on, her own fist dangling just in front of his face.
She attempted another punch, this one much more unfocused which made it easy for Trunks to dodge.
As she tried to keep attacking, she tripped over her own feet, all of her strength and control over her movement suddenly gone. Trunks noticed that a large amount of her ki was beginning to fade and managed to catch her in his arms as she panted heavily.
"Are you alright?!" Goten asked worriedly. "I think you overdid it."
"Yeah, she's pretty tired." Trunks observed.
As the adrenaline rush faded from her body, exposing her to all of the injuries she had received as well as the aches from her exhausted muscles and depleted aura.
"This really hurts." She whimpered. "But… At the same time… this was really really fun! I really liked it."
Trunks nodded at her, scratching his cheek. "Hmm. It was. I guess you weren't as bad as I thought you'd be."
"He's right! You did great Alluka!" Goten chirped, offering encouragement.
Goten placed his hands on her temple and began to heal her with ki, having been taught by his father a while back.
"Better?" He asked, after a minute or so.
Nodding, she groggily stood up before stretching, her arms wide in the air. "Yeah… Still pretty tired though…" She rubbed her eyes before pointing toward somewhere else in the forest. "While you guys fight, I'm just gonna sit over there. Okay?"
"Oh yeah, of course." Goten nodded, smiling back at her.
"Try not to fall asleep. You're about to watch a super cool fight!" Trunks bragged, pointing a thumb to himself.
She giggled before nodding and heading off to the distance, meanwhile the two boys stretched and warmed up a little.
"What do you think?" Goten smiled at Trunks.
Trunks only raised a brow at his friend, a curious look in his eye. "Of..?
"Of Alluka, obviously!" Goten emphasized. "She's really nice, isn't she?"
"You would think that, wouldn't you?" Trunks smirked teasingly at Goten.
"Huh?" Goten cocked his head off to the side cutely. "Well, yeah. Of course I do. Alluka and I have a lot in common. We're really good friends now!"
"That's… Nevermind." Trunks huffed, disappointed at the obliviousness of his friend. "Yeah. You're right, she's pretty cool, I guess."
"I knew you two would hit it off!" Goten laughed. "I think the three of us would make a cool team!" He gasped suddenly, causing Trunks to look at him. "OH! I know! We can all dress up as superheroes and be a crime fighting trio! We can do all those cool battle poses just like Gohan and Videl!"
"No." Trunks said, deadpan. It didn't seem to register in Goten's mind however, as he continued to ramble.
"I wonder what we should call ourselves… Oh! We should also have a color scheme for each of us! We can't use Green or blue though… Gohan and Videl alre-"
Before he could continue with his barrage of ideas, Trunks lightly swiped at his forehead in annoyance, his eye twitching.
"We're not gonna do that stuff. Especially if it means me putting on some lame superhero costume" Trunks crossed his arms, cringing at the thought of them being weirdos in front of the public.
Goten puffed his cheeks stubbornly, glaring. "Well I'm still gonna do it someday! Maybe Alluka can do it with me too! She'll think it's cool."
"I doubt that, dude."
The two then stood on opposite sides of the field, the positions entering a battle position, ready to begin the fun.
"First to give up or faint loses!" Goten shouted out.
Trunks smirked. "Try not to cry when I beat you… Again."
"That's not gonna happen!" Goten smiled back. " I trained a lot when I was away. Probably more than you since you had to study all that Capsule Corps stuff!"
"I got the gravity room." Trunks replied. "That's way better than camping out in the wilderness!"
The two boys glared at each other in a challenging manner, no malice in their words but both ready to see who was better.
"Alright…" Goten said, his stance tightening. "Ready?"
"Yeah." Trunks replied, mirroring the younger's actions. "Let's go!"
The two boys leaped at each other, a shock wave forming as soon as they clashed.
It was only barely noticeable, but Goten was just slightly pushed back during their power struggle, his feet being pushed only one centimeter back while Trunks stood strong.
Continuing their momentum, they exchanged blows before Goten grabbed one of Trunks' arms and flipped him over his shoulder. Not taken aback, the lavender haired child back flipped onto a boulder behind him, redirecting a ki blast shot at him by the Goten.
Goten began shooting multiple ki blasts out, with Trunks hitting them away or dodging them with ease.
Then Goten shot a ki blast into the ground directly in front of Trunks, creating a temporary smoke screen in front of him.
Trunks closed his eyes, managing to sense Gtoen behind him. He managed to jump away just in time before Goten's kick could connect with his arm.
Trunks aimed his own ki attack down at the ground, electricity sparking from his palms as soon as the attack descended, causing Goten to just barely dodge.
"Darn…" Trunks clicked, seeing the destruction his attack caused. "I gave him more room to hide in…"
Suppressing his ki, Goten laid low on the ground, using the debris in the air to cover where he was before taking off into the trees.
Landing on a branch, he observed his friend's position carefully, watching as he looked around searching for him.
He then jumped into a lake and swam as deep as he could. He had heard about this trick from his brother and father, one he had supposedly used on Frieza.
He summoned a massive ki ball, using telekinesis to hold it in place while he swam away. Once far away enough, he sent the ball upwards.
The loud splash, along with the sudden energy signature he got a read on immediately alerted Trunks as he turned back to see the energy sphere head straight toward him.
His eyes widened as he moved out of the way, watching as the sphere went off into the distance and dissipated, before feeling a sharp pain coming from his cheek, the force propelling toward the ground.
"Ow! Darn it. It was just a diversion!" Trunks thought to himself, bouncing off the ground as Goten rushed at him.
The two exchanged blows through the air, never remaining in the same position as before. Trunks noticed that Goten blocked his attacks far easier than their previous sparring sessions. Intrigued, he started to try copying his fighting style.
The two boys continued to trade blows, Goten, with his more skill based training being able to land one or two hits more than his friend. Trunks' gravity training ensured that whenever he did land a a blow it packed more of a punch than Goten's hits.
Eventually both boys adjusted their fighting styles against the other, leading to Trunks fighting more defensively while Goten made sure to not stop his momentum, being able to dodge and parry with more ease.
The two boys then separated on opposite ends, both of them staring each other down into a still off.
"I think it's time we stop goofing around…" Trunks smirked, powering up to Super Sayain. "Don't you think, Goten?"
"Yeah!" Goten grinned, following suit and having his golden ki envelop his body.
"Hope our friend back there hasn't fallen asleep." Trunks entered a stance, looking off to where Alluka was, just barely glancing at her. "She's about to get the light show of a lifetime!"
With that, round two began.
Chi-Chi and Bulma, both having begun cooking, occasionally peered out the window to try and spot if the children had returned.
"I hope they're on their way now…" Chi-Chi muttered. "I told Goten the other day that they had to come back at around this time so that they could get ready for the get together."
"It'll be fine, Chi-Chi." Bulma nudged her. "Goten's a good kid. He'll follow through with it. If anything I'd worry more about Trunks. " She sighed at the thought of her mischievous son.
Just a few minutes later, they heard the door creak open, Bulma smiling over it at Chi-Chi with both giving a knowing nod.
"What'd I tell you." She said, before going over to greet them. "Welcome back you three. How- Oh come on!" She cried out.
"Hi mom… I think we might've overdone it…" Chi-Chi heard Trunks say, bashful.
Not surprised, she told them in a knowing manner. "You three go ahead and take a bath! Leave your clothes in the bathroom and I'll pick them up later."
"Yes, ma'am/mom!" The three cried out, all of them scurrying over toward the bathroom.
Bulma came back into the kitchen, looking exasperated. "Good thing I let him bring his fighting uniform. That suit I bought for him is brand new."
"I saw it. It looks nice." Chi-Chi replied. "Did you see the ones Gohan bought for the kids?"
The two continued their talk while the three children got dressed in the bathroom. The reunion was just a few hours away, but Chi-Chi wasn't worried. She knew the three children would make a nice impression on the rest of the group.
She wondered what her husband and Hercule had to say regarding the tournament...
