Gohan and Videl flew side by side toward Mt. Paozu, both of them having recently finished their patrol as Saiyaman and Saiyawoman.

Gohan wore black pants, shoes, and a white shirt with a black blazer over it, while Videl had a red sweater with a pink t- shirt underneath. She also wore a black skirt and grey shoes.

"You think we're even gonna be able to fit all of the food on the tables?" Videl asked, taking a sip from her bottled water.

"Doubt it." Gohan shrugged. "I'm sure Bulma brought some capsuled tables though. So we should be fine."

"Yeah." She agreed, taking in the view of her husband's childhood home.

She found it rather sad to believe that her father in law grew up in these mountains all alone after his grandfather passed on. To think he was briefly raised by Son Gohan... The legendary martial artist, student of the turtle hermit and, at one point, heralded as one of the strongest men to live on the planet. Some even argued that he had managed to surpass his teacher in his later years.

When she first met her husband, she took notice of his name immediately. It was hard not to considering he was named after one of her biggest idols. She would have never imagined that the two Gohans actually shared a familial relationship, even if only by adoption through Goku.

On her many visits, she began to see why the old hermit had chosen to live up here, as well as know why Goku and Gohan had such nice memories of this place. The scenery was beautiful, the air and water were as clean and fresh as could be, with plenty of game to live off of.

Sure one could argue that it had all sorts of dangerous creatures to be wary of, but with how strong the family was that was hardly even an issue. Plus father and both sons were very good at befriending just about any animal they met (Something both she and Trunks were a little envious of).

Truly, the perfect place for a superpowered person to call their home.

"What do you think is the biggest animal you've befriended?" Videl asked, continuing her train of thought.

Gohan pondered for a little, smiling at the memory before turning back to her. "There was this T-Rex I met one time. I think that might've been it…"

Not surprised, Videl turned to him for more questioning. "When'd you meet it? Do you still, 'hang out', with it?"

"Oh no. I haven't seen him in years. I doubt he's alive anymore either… This was during my training when Piccolo left me to survive a couple of months on my own." Gohan shook his head, smiling at their funny encounter. "Plus we weren't that close… The first time we met was because he was trying to eat me. I responded by cutting little chunks for its tail off for dinner every so often." He laughed, scratching his head. "I think he decided to let me call him my friend after that because of how much I scared him!"

Videl giggled along, an image of a baby sized Gohan beating up a giant T Rex with his splinter sized sword appearing in her mind. She was a bit surprised that he actually remmembered the T Rex, considering that, from what she had been told, he had only been four years old when his training had started, even if he had always possesed a keen memory.

The two eventually arrived at the small house, Videl wiping some sweat off from flying while Gohan grabbed the spare keys from his pocket, having received it the day he had moved out.

"Mom!" Gohan called out as he and Videl entered the small warm home. "We're here!"

They were immediately met with the delicious smell of home made cooking, both inhaling just a little more than they needed to for more of the aroma to enter their nostrils.

Chi-Chi peeked her head from out of the kitchen before running to embrace her son.

"Oh hello sweetheart!" She grinned, nuzzling into his chest.

"Hi Mom!" Gohan replied, greeting her back warmly.

Upon finishing their hug, Chi-Chi separated from her son before pulling Videl in for her share of affection.

"Hello my dear! How've you two been? May I say that you both look stunning!" She asked as Videl bashfully hugged the older woman back.

"You too mom!" Gohan said, beginning to head into the kitchen. "We've been great, you?"

"Oh you know how it is Gohan…" Chi-Chi smiled, pulling her daughter in law along. "Tons of cooking and tons of cleaning up. Thank you two for agreeing to help out!"

"Any time." Gohan nodded.

"It's no trouble at all, really!" Videl quickly followed up.

"Oh…?" As Gohan entered the kitchen, he immediately took notice of Bulma Briefs carefully balancing one of the plates on the last bit of space on a table. "Hey Bulma!"

Bulma, upon hearing his voice, looked up and grinned. "Hey, Gohan! Oh, and hello to you too Videl."

"Rough cooking session?" Gohan remarked, seeing that three of the five tables were already full of food, napkins on top of each plate to preserve their heat.

"Yup. Almost done though. We might not even need the fifth table but, you know…"

"Yeah. Better safe than sorry. Especially when Sayains are involved." Gohan nodded, agreeing. "I'm guessing Dad and Vegeta are out training?"

"That's right." Bulma confirmed. "Gon and Killua went with them."

Gohan and Videl, after being told what to do, both joined in and began cooking alongside the two women.

"Where's Goten Trunks and Alluka?" Gohan asked, taking a quick look around. He could easily sense their energy as they were really close by, but wondered why they hadn't come out to say hello.

"Oh, the three of them are taking a quick bath." Chi-Chi explained. "They went in a few minutes ago, so it shouldn't take them too long."

"Ah, alright." Gohan nodded.

"So, Alluka…" Videl suddenly said. "How good would you say she is? Martial Arts wise, I mean."

"Not too bad. Especially for a beginner." Chi-Chi told her. "I don't think she's as talented as her brother or Gon, at least from what I saw, but I do think she has a lot more talent than the average person. I could see her going pretty far."

"You're the one who taught her, right?" Videl asked. "I think you told me once that you knew Turtle hermit style. Did you teach her a bit of that?"

"Dad also taught me the basics of using a sword." Chi-Chi added on , before continuing. "It didn't interest me too much but I still practice whenever I get bored. Goku also taught me how to use the power pole a little bit during our first few years of marriage."

Chi-Chi smiled fondly at the memories before getting back on topic. "To answer your question, I didn't teach her much of the style. It was mostly just helping her learn the basics. Punches, basic kicks, stances, all that stuff."

"That's good. You should always start with the easy stuff." Videl said.

"What kind of martial arts do you and Hercule know, Videl?" Bulma asked.

"Well he taught me his self proclaimed, 'Satan style' martial arts mostly." Videl scoffed at the name. "It is actually pretty effective though. His style is made up of different types of martial arts he learned in the past."

"How good would you say you are?" Chi-Chi asked.

"I'm not at his level. He's still more skilled than I am." Videl admitted modestly.

"Well at least now you can take him down though, can't you?" Bulma inquired.

"Well… Yes." Videl admitted before clarifying. "But only cause I got to increase my physical strength with that gravity training everyone else does. Having Ki helps too."

"You said it." Chi-Chi said, a glint in her eyes as they turned to Gohan. "I mean, how else are you supposed to fight people with super big muscles that can bench press planets? Or that can shoot energy beams that destroy entire fields. Fields filled with vegetation. Right, Gohan?"

Gohan scratched his cheek looking down. "We said we were sorry…"

It had all happened when Goku, Gohan and Goten decided to use their ki to help out with the farm. One thing led to another and eventually, before anyone knew it, they began unknowingly compete. This occurred just a year before Gohan moved out of the house, and a month after Goku and Chi-Chi had started selling their vegetables on the local village market.

Needless to say, from how carried away the three got, most of the vegetables did not come out unscathed.

Gohan shivered at the memory.

The two of the women giggled to themselves while Chi-Chi kept a deadpan stare. "I swear, you boys… At least you kept your cool enough to realize how much damage you three did."

"Yeah.." He chuckled.

"Thank goodness for that." Videl laughed. "You probably wouldn't have had any vegetables to sell that week if you hadn't."

"That sounds way worse than what happened that one time Trunks and Goten got into that fight in the playground." Bulma muttered.

Chi-Chi felt her eye twitch at the memory, before her eyes suddenly lit up. "Speaking of super powered children, when am I gonna get to have grandkids?!"

"M-MOM!"

"Um…Well…"

"Hey mom! We're done!" Goten shouted out, coming out of the bathroom while being followed by his two companions.

"Oh thank goodness…" Gohan and Videl muttered simultaneously, their faces as red as chili peppers.

"You guys put the new outfits on, didn't you?" Chi-Chi asked, slightly irritated from not getting her answer. Or her grandchildren.

"Yes!" He answered. She swore she could heard Trunks grumble a little.

"Well what are you waiting for then? Show us you guys!" Bulma cried out.

"Do we have to wear this?!" Trunks cried out.

"No complaining Trunks! Now come out here and show us what you three look like."

The three stepped into the room, the four adults taking a break from cooking and turning back to get a good look.

"Hey Gohan! Hi Videl!" Goten grinned, letting them take a good look before running over to hug his brother and his sister in law.

"Yo! Gohan! Oh and you too Videl."

"Hello…"

Goten wore a buttoned up white shirt with a bow tie, brown overalls and dark shoes. He also had a red hat to cover up his spiky hair.

Trunks also had a bow tie, wrapped around his own white shirt. He wore blue shorts underneath with sparkly shoes. In Bulma's opinion, his irritated pout only made him look even more adorable.

Next to him Alluka stood, looking down blushing as she presented her new look. She had a dark pink Bonn hat neatly on her head. She wore a white dress with a pink sweater above it, her shoes being dark much like Goten's.

"We look like total dweebs, mom…" Trunks muttered.

"What are you talking about, you three look amazing!" Bulma laughed, giving Alluka a wink. "Especially you sweetheart. You're rocking that sweater!"

The little girl blushed a tiny bit more while saying a barely audible 'thank you, ma'am'.

"How've you two been? Is work okay?" Goten asked, as he switched to hugging Videl after Gohan twirled him around.

"Everything's pretty stale, honestly. Nothing new yet bro." Gohan said

"A lot of students were a little lazier this week. They could really use some motivation." Videl followed up.

"How's homeschool going, Goten?" Gohan asked, his younger brother having recently resumed his studies.

"It's pretty fun actually! I'm learning about history, plant, and animal life too!" He explained. "Boy, am I glad that it isn't as hard as what Trunks is learning."

"It wasn't that bad!" Bulma retorted. "I was learning stuff like that when I was half his age."

"(...Braniac)" Trunks whispered to Alluka, making her snorted.

"Did you say something sweetheart?" Bulma asked, giving her son a sickly sweet smile.

"What? who? Me? Nope." Trunks quickly replied

"Do you teach your students about Ki, Videl?" Alluka inquired.

"Oh, no." Videl shook her head. "Just plain ol' Martial Arts. Plus I'm still learning about it myself. I wanna at least be intermediate at it before I start teaching it to other people. If that's even a good idea, that is…"

"Why wouldn't it be?" Gohan asked, exasperated. Judging from the tone of their voices, this wasn't the first time they've had this spat. "Honey, popularizing Ki would be revolutionary! Imagine everything that could be invented thanks to the use of spiritual energy. From machines, to all sorts of different techniques. Earth would also have a stronger defense force in case aliens ever invaded again."

"Yes, Gohan. All of those are good points." Videl nodded, sighing. "But you're forgetting that it wouldn't just be people like us that gain Ki. Good people who want to do the right thing. Criminals would also have access to that kind of power. Can you even imagine just how much destruction would be caused from a petty street fight? Or worse, a war? "

"Couldn't the super police just beat them up though?" Goten asked.

"What if the criminals have a higher power level?" Bulma refuted. "The types of machines and inventions do sound interesting to me, but honestly Gohan I just think it's way too risky. Even if they find a way to minimize damage there's no telling what could go wrong."

Gohan grumbled to himself, determined to one day win over his family to the idea. At least Goten agreed with him…

As they went back to cooking, Goten Trunks and Alluka went into the living room to play a board game.

They continued their respective activities until there was a sudden knock on the door.

"We're back!" Goku announced.

"Hey Dad!" Gohan and Goten both called.

"Yo Goten, Gohan! Oh, hey guys." He greeted the other two children in the living room before he walked into the kitchen with Vegeta, his arms crossed. "Hey Videl! Whatever you're all cooking smells delicious!"

"Um…" Gohan and Videl sweat dropped at his Goku's and Vegeta's appearance.

Their clothes were covered in dirt with a lot of tears to boot. Their hair was also messier with some grass caught in it. Another thing of note was the smell, which was accurately summarized by Alluka once she hugged Killua and Gon, both of them having entered afterwards.

"UGH! You both STINK!" she bellowed out.

Sighing, Chi-Chi shook her head before speaking again. "I left your clothes in Goten's room. Boys, you shower first! Goku, honey you can go after them."

"That means you too Vegeta!" Bulma added on.

Gon and Killua went in to pick their clothes up before both of them entered the bathroom, Goku taking in the view and smell of the already prepared food while Vegeta decided to do some light meditation in the living room.

"Nu uh." Chi-Chi said as she dragged Goku away from the meal. "No sneak peaks mister."

"Aww." Goku rubbed his head.

"Hey dad, which one of you won?" Goten asked, the three of them not wanting interrupt Vegeta's meditative state.

"Ah well, we both got carried away until Gon and Killua reminded us what time it was." Goku looked away, a little embarrassed. "When we realized how late it was, we came running right back! So um… We didn't really have time to settle it."

"Aw, man." Goten patted his father's back. "Well, I'm sure you would've won."

"What? No way Goten." Trunks sneered. "If they had finished the fight, Dad would've won!"

"No. That's not true!" Goten puffed his cheeks.

"Totally is!" Trunks bit back, their foreheads crashing together.

"No!"

They both looked to Alluka, closing in on her as the young girl flinched.

"Alluka, what do you think?!" Goten asked.

"My dad would've won, right?!" Trunks demanded, both of the boys trying to push the other away.

"U-um…Well…" Alluka bashfully twiddled her thumbs while looking down.

"Woah, hold up guys!" Goku interrupted, holding his hands up playfully. "Let's calm down for a sec!"

Two hours later, another knock was heard coming from the door. With all of the cooking finished, Chi-Chi went to answer it, to see that Krillin, 18, Marron, Master Roshi as well as his turtle had arrived.

"Hi, Aunt Chi-Chi!" The little girl greeted adorably.

"Hello to you sweetie pie!" She said, lovingly taking her from 18's arms and peppering her with kisses, making the toddler laugh. "Hello Krillin, 18…" She gave a sour look at the perverted old martial arts master. "...Roshi."

"Hi, Chi-Chi!" Krillin, along with his wife, waved back.

"Don't worry." The blonde said coolly, squeezing Roshi's neck a little, making him squirm. "We'll make sure he behaves himself."

"Y-yes! I will!" Roshi stammered, as the three of them entered the building.

"So you trained Goku, old man?" Killua asked after and the rest of the children introduced themselves.

"That's right! Trained em' right alongside Krillin." Roshi recalled, feeling nostalgic. "Good times those were…"

"Did you really tie them to a tree while making them dodge bees?" Alluka inquired, giggling.

"Ah, he told you about that didn't he?" Roshi laughed at the memory. "Their dodging skills improved real quick after that! Guess they weren't too fond of being human pin cushions…"

"How old are you kids anyway?" Roshi asked, glancing at the three newcomers.

"I just turned 13." Gon answered

"12." Killua said. "I'll be 13 too in July."

"I'm nine." Alluka pointed toward Goten and Trunks. "Same as them."

"I see…" He said, scratching his beard like a typical old man. "You know that's quite the coincidence! Goku and Krillin were the same ages as you were when they started training with me!"

"Oh, yeah?" Killua's eyes widened.

"Mmm hmm." Roshi nodded, pondering. "Let's see it was… Ah, right! Krillin was 13 while Goku was 12." He recalled. "Though since Goku eas taller, even back then, and didn't really know how to count that well we all thought he was the older one."

"How old did he think he was?" Alluka tilted her head.

"At the time, he used to think he was 14."

Over in the kitchen, The three new guests greeted Goku, Bulma and their respective families. Vegeta snuck outside to brood, as he usually did.

"Looking sharp Goku!" Krillin winked, pointing a finger at his best friend.

"You too!" Goku replied, ruffling the smaller man's head. "The hat really suits you."

"Aw gosh, you think so?"

"Hey 18! How's everything." Bulma waved her hand.

"So far so good." 18 responded, giving a soft smile. "How's being rich?"

"The best, obviously." Bulma winked.

"Do you guys need any more help?" Krillin offered. He saw all of the plates on the table, but even so, it never hurt to ask. Especially when they had gone through the trouble of setting everything up.

"We're fine, but thank you." Chi-Chi nodded at him gratefully. "The food Bulma ordered already arrived, so we're pretty much all set up."

"Just waiting for everyone else, right?"

She nodded again, looking toward the door.

Marron, getting bored, decided to go see Goten and Trunks, as well as meet the new kids, wondering if they could be her new friends. She got down from her father's shoulders and toddled over to the living room.

She approached Goten from behind, before throwing her arms around his waist. "Boo!"

Goten turned his head as much as he could, only getting a glimpse of her light blonde hair. "Hey Marron. How are you?"

Marron gave him a wide grin, letting him go so he could fully turn around and take her hands into his own.

"I'm good~! Mommy said we could play together." She turned around, throwing herself into her other friend. "Hi Trunks!"

"Hey, Marron. What's up?"

"Chicken butt?" Marron giggled, having heard that joke from her dad.

Trunks groaned while Goten laughed long before tugging her hand. "Hey, there's someone we want you to meet."

Goten tugged at Alluka from the shoulder and gently pulled her in. "This is another friend of ours. Her name is Alluka!"

"Okay!" The little girl nodded at him before turning to face the stranger. "Hi Alluka! My name's Marron.'

"Hi Marron!" Alluka grinned, bending over to shake her small hand. "Do you wanna play with us? We're just about to start a new round!"

"Yeah! Let's play!"

The children all huddled up together, Goten planning to introduce Marron to Gon and Killua once they were finished talking to Master Roshi.

As the minutes piled on, more and more people arrived until eventually, the guest list was complete. Everyone had finally arrived.

Well… Everyone except….

"Where's Hercule and Buu? And the announcer? Coulda sworn I invited him too..." Goku looked around as everyone was chatting. "I really wanna dig in already!"

"You know my dad." Videl sighed. "He's probably going to want to make an entrance…"

Smoke began to appear from outside of the home, being illuminated by several lights of different colors. Everyone took notice by looking out the window.

"Yeah, you know, like that."

Videl, doing her best to hide her blush, went over to open the door, looking on in exasperation as everyone peaked from behind her.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEEEEN!"

A man wearing an all white suit, a small moustache, slicked back blonde hair and very familiar sunglasses stood outside of the home.

"Here at the Son family home, we have a VERY special guest!"

Half the people in the crowd scoffed.

"The savior of all mankind! Slayer of the mighty Cell! The World Martial Arts champion several times in a row! Ladies and Gentlemen may I introduce…"

He waved his hand behind him, then smoke dissipated to reveal a shadowy figure posing dramatically…

"MR. HERCUUUULE SATAAAAAAAN!"

Hercule looked like he usually did whenever he appeared in the world tournament ring. A brown gi with white pants, black and white boots and a white belt wrapped around his waist. He also decided to put on a white cape. To the back of him, some random workers were playing his theme song and absolutely shredding the guitar.

Majin Buu was far off at the side, his hand on his face as he impatiently awaited for the intro to be done so that he could subsist. Their dog, Bee, was just barking randomly in excitement, even though he had no idea what was going on.

His afro and cape flowed dramatically, not from any wind but rather from the giant fan to his right, which helped remove the smoke. The lights shined solely on him, putting his awesomeness on full display.

"Oh, Dad…" Videl groaned, covering her face with her hands.

Almost everyone laughed and clapped along at the performance, some more bashfully than others. A few just rolled their eyes or looked away at the drama.

"How did they set all that up without us noticing?" Alluka whispered to Trunks, making him pat her shoulder.

"Trust me it's easier if you don't ask…"

The curly haired champion laughed, before turning around and pointing a finger at himself. "It is a pleasure for I, MR. SATAN™, to be invited to this here meal! Which was wonderfully prepared so that all of us could enjoy!" He finished off by doing his signature pose.

As soon as he finished the introduction, he waited for an applause. A few in the group complied, once again playfully clapping along. Krillin even whistled for maximum effect. Others like Vegeta or Piccolo simply shook their heads in embarrassment.

"Idiot…" Vegeta muttered to himself.

After all of the equipment was removed from their front lawn, everyone finally sat down and began to eat. The Saiyans in the group devouring several meals faster before most could even finish a single plate.

"Is it safe for them to eat that fast?" Alluka looked at Goku and Vegeta worriedly. Having stayed with the couple she knew Goku was pretty fast paced in consuming meals, but at the time the pace he went at least seemed believable, even taking his time with a few plates. Now it looked like he was practically trying to inhale everything.

"Trust me. This is a very normal occurrence for whenever they take they're training too far." Bulma smiled.

"Takes a while to get used to though…" Krillin muttered, his wife nodding while she helped Marron with her chopsticks.

"I just really wanted to thank you for inviting me here, Goku." Said the world tournament Mike guy. "And thank you for this meal. It tastes, delicious ma'am."

"No trouble at all." Chi-Chi smiled at him.

"Yeah! You're always welcome." Goku grinned, before continuing his consumption.

"So what do you two have to say about the tournament? Goku said it was pretty important." Chi-Chi asked Hercule, not even bothering trying to get a response from her husband as he was halfway through his third noodle bowl.

"Oh, well it's about several things." Hercule said, before taking a bite out of his dumpling. "We'll be telling you guys about the date, the reward, the rules, and who's gonna be fighting who."

"Oh, I see." Chi-Chi said, taking a sip of water. "I can say with definite accuracy that you didn't put Vegeta vs Goku in the first round, right?"

"And have them wreck the stadium before the tournament can even begin?" Hercule barked out a laugh. "Nah, that match is better suited for the finale! we made sure to put them well away from each other. Just trust us okay, I think you guys are gonna like it."

"Is Buu gonna fight in it?" Goten asked.

"Nah." Hercule shook his head, briefly glimpsing outside to see that Buu was well on his way to finishing his mountain of food. "Big guy didn't really feel up to it."

Goten and Trunks collectively wiped sweat from their brow, Alluka glancing in confusion.

"Speaking of which, uh Goku?" Hercule turned to the spiky haired man.

The latter had just finished downing a cup of water, patting his chest while looking up at Hercule. "What's up?"

"That list you gave me last time put Roshi in the spectator list, even though you said he was competing." Hercule handed him a piece of paper. "Don't worry, though. I corrected it."

Goku looked at both papers carefully, before bonking his head. "Ah! You're right. Thanks Hercule!"

"Don't mention it."

"Oh wow… It's been a while since I've seen Master Roshi in action!" The Ox King grinned, excitedly.

Killua looked at the turtle hermit. "Well, we've learned better than to underestimate old people with aura. Right Gon?"

"Yeah! I really wanna see what kind of cool techniques he's got!" Gon beamed at the elder, who gave a hearty laugh.

"Well, I'm looking forward to seeing what you boys can do!"

"I heard about your fight with Goku." Tien looked at the three children, Gon and Killua in particular. "I want to see what this 'Nen' of yours is capable of."

"Sure!" Gon nodded excitedly.

"Bring it, old dudes!" Killua smirked.

Everyone finished filling themselves up, after which they all went to the living room so that The World Tourney announcer guy could tell them all the big news on the tourney. The slick looking man having been told all the details by Hercule and Goku the previous day

"The tournament will take place exactly one week from now, with the reward for the two finalists being a wish from the legendary Dragon, Shenron, himself! The rules are as follows!" The World Tourney announcer guy stated, writing them down on a white board he had brought along. Everyone looked on in interest and made sure to pay attention. Except for Majin Buu, who was fast asleep on the couch with Bee at his side.

"Rule Number one, the most obvious one!" He pointed dramatically. "If you are knocked out of the ring, or if you decide to give up, You're out!"

Everyone looked confused, seemingly thinking that he had forgotten about another way of losing the match. "What about getting KO'd?" Krillin asked.

"Yeah, about that." Hercule spoke up, both him and Goku standing by the announcer's side. "We realize that some of you guys are way stronger than others. So we decided that, to make things just a bit more interesting, you won't be allowed to just knock out your opponent."

Everyone nodded, some of the weaker fighters in the group smiling in relief.

"Rule number Two!" The announcer continued. "No hitting the private parts. If we're gonna beat the tar out of each other, let's at least try to keep it civilized, okay people?"

"Rule number three, no weapons of any kind will be allowed, unless those weapons are formed with your energy! Or, well, something like that."

"And rule number four! No transformations allowed!"

"Oh thank god…" Krillin muttered to himself, 18 giving him an amused glance.

Vegeta scoffed a little, looking away. While he was slightly angered that this meant he wouldn't be able to go all out against Goku, at the very least it would make the other fights a little more interesting.

"Now that I've explained the rules, let's show the match ups!"

Goku nodded, flipping the white board over for everyone to see.

"I hope you guys are looking forward to this as much as I am!" Goku cheered, raising his fist in the air. "Alright everyone, let's all do our best!

Everyone agreed, some raising their fists as well while others nodded confidently. After this day, the week of training for the tournament would begin.
