Super Smash Bros adventures chapter 14
Mario, Link, Pit, Charizard, Little Mac, and Robin are in the kitchen, watching Peach, Zelda, and Rosalina baking some cookies together. The scent of the cookies flies around Mario and rest, their noses take a quick sniff, and their mouths are drooling from the sweet scent of the chocolate chip cookies.
Peach places the plate of cookies onto their table. "Here are the cookies. Enjoy!"
Mario and the rest each Imgur a cookies and quickly shoved it into their mouth. "So delicious..."
Peach giggles. "Eat as much as you want. Zelda and Rosalina's are about done."
Mario takes a bite on his second cookies. "Peach's cookies never fails to amaze me."
Link finishes up his third cookie. "None of the chefs from my world can make cookies like these."
"Doc will be jealous that I get to eat these cookies without him. He would love these." Little Mac says.
"I hope one day Lucina will learn how to bake cookies like this. That would make me love her even more." Robin says.
"I'll have to stop eating a lot of these soon or else I won't be able to fly anymore." Charizard says.
"This would be good with some milk." Pit says.
"Here you go, Pit." Zelda says, giving Pit a glass of cold milk with the second batch of cookies.
"Oh, thank you, Princess Zelda." Pit thanked.
Zelda smiles. "If you need anything else, just ask."
Pit watches Zelda walk back into the kitchen to continue baking more cookies for the other Smashers. "That's really nice of her."
"So Mario, I heard that everything's good between you and Peach now." Robin says.
"Yeah we're good now. We both apologized to each other and decided that it's best that we continue being friends. Isn't that right, Peach?" Mario asks.
Peach smiles. "Of course!"
"That's good to hear." Charizard says.
"If there's anything stressing you out again, come see me and I can help you by teaching you some boxing lessons." Little Mac says.
"Thanks for the offer, but I'm sure I'll be fine." Mario says.
"So what are you going to do next?" Link asks.
"What do you mean?" Mario asks.
"He means are you going to continue looking for a special someone?" Pit says.
"Oh that? Well... I'm fine as I am right now since I have you guys and the other Smashers there for me. So maybe I'll be patient and see what happens." Mario says.
"That's a good answer. Being in a relationship takes time and you want it to be the right person. That's how Lucina and I met. We took our time by starting as friends and as soon time goes by, our relationship grew so close that we want to be with each other for the rest of eternity." Robin says.
"You'll find someone one day. If you can catch yourself a Princess, then you have no problem finding someone like that." Little Mac says.
Mario giggles. "Thanks guys. It'll be nice to be single for a while. And the one who helped me getting over this problem was Lyn. She's the one that told me what's best and gave me a good push to talk to Peach. I should do something for her."
"Why not take her out? How about you and her go to that Plains she's from?" Peach suggests.
Mario turns surprised. "How did you know where she's from?"
"She told me about it and that you and her want to do a picnic together." Peach says.
"Don't tell me... You're already going out with someone else?!" Pit shockingly says.
"What?! No!" Mario answers.
"Oh good. I thought it's too soon to being with another lady." Robin says.
"Not you too, Robin. Lyn and I want to go on a picnic together in her world so she can show me the Plains she's from. We thought it's a good bonding activity for us." Mario says.
"That's sounds like a great idea!" Zelda happily says.
"You can get to know her better." Rosalina says.
"That's what I thought." Mario says.
"Who knows, maybe something interesting can happen in the future between you two." Link says.
"Don't get his hopes up " Little Mac says.
"Just have a good time and don't stress yourself." Charizard says.
"Thanks everyone. I should go and ask her." Mario says.
...
A few days later.
"Well guys, I'll see you later." Mario says.
"Have fun." Link says.
"And bring us some leftovers." Pit says.
"I'll try." Mario says, leaving the bedroom.
Mario walks to the living room while getting Smashers on his way and sees Lyn already waiting with a huge picnic basket. "Hi Lyn. Did I keep you waiting?"
"Oh no. I just got here." Lyn looks at Mario as he's wearing a red T Shirt, blue cargo shorts, and red tennis shoes. "You look different today."
"Well, I thought it'll be nice to wear something casual since we're going to have a picnic together." Mario explains.
"Hmm... Never really thought about it. I'm always comfortable with the same outfit I always wear. I asked Sakurai to prepare us a Smash Portal to my world so it should be ready soon. Shall we get going?" Lyn asks.
"Lead the way." Mario replies.
In a few minutes, the Smash Portal appeared and they already arrived at their destination.
"Mario, welcome to the Plains that I was raised in, Sacaean Plains." Lyn introduces.
Mario looks around and only see a big field of grass with trees, plants, in a huge wide area. He jumps up really high and only sees even more grass from a long distance. "It's beautiful... The large mass of grass, the nice breeze of the wind blowing through my face, and everything feels nice and calm."
"Here lie down on the ground." Lyn says, as she lays her body and head down on the ground. "Ahhh... it's so nice to be here again.
Mario follows Lyn's instructions and lies down with her. "Wow! You're right! This feels amazing! The grass is so soft that you don't need a pillow."
Lyn giggles. "I told you so. It's a really nice experience. I miss this kind of feeling."
"So how about the food you prepared?" Mario asks.
"Oh right!" Lyn opens up her picnic basket and prepares some dishes, cups,utensils, and the food she brought. "Hope you enjoy the food."
Mario takes a sandwich that has a red filling between the bread and takes a bite. Suddenly, his eyes turns into sparkles and he quickly devour the sandwich in just a few seconds. "This is delicious!"
Lyn turns really surprised from Mario's reaction and takes a bite on her sandwich. "Really? I'm glad that you like it."
"Did you really make this yourself?" Mario asks, grabbing another sandwich.
"That's right. What's inside the sandwiches are strawberry and blueberry jelly. I made the jelly myself by freshly squishing the fruits." Lyn says, finishing her sandwich.
"That's amazing! I can't stop eating these sandwiches." Mario says, about to get his third sandwich.
Lyn smiles. "Enjoy as much as you like. There are plenty left. Have some of this raspberry juice I made. I also freshly squeezed the fruit."
Mario takes a sip of the juice and falls in love with it. "Tasty! You're a real natural in this."
"I'm glad you like the juice too." Lyn happily says.
After sometime, the two Smashers fill their stomachs. Mario lies down on his feeling satisfied from lunch.
"Ahh... that hits the spot." Mario burps loudly. "Oh... excuse me..."
Lyn giggles. "That must've mean you like it."
"Like it? I love it! Both the sandwiches and the juice. You should make them again for everyone else in the Smash Mansion. They'll love it." Mario suggests.
"Maybe I should. First I'll need to improve more to make them even better." Lyn says.
"Ask Peach to help you. She can definitely help." Mario suggests.
"Maybe I should. I'll ask her for tips next time." Lyn lies her head down on the grass. "This feels great."
"Just wondering, do you have any family that lives here in the Plains?" Mario asks.
"I do... but not anymore..." Lyn sadly answers.
Mario looks at Lyn, who's face looks sad. "Oh no! Umm... How about we stop talking about your family?"
"No worries. You're a good person so I'll tell you what happened." Lyn starts telling her story. "When I was younger, I lived here with my Mom and Dad, and a tribe called, the Saceans. We were having such a nice life traveling around, gathering everything for camp, and just enjoying everybody's company. It was nice and quiet until a group of Bandits called, the Tailver Bandits came and ruined everything. They poisoned our water supply and slaughter every member of the tribe."
Mario was shocked hearing Lyn's backstory. He couldn't believe something like that happened to her. "Then how did you survive?"
"My father, he forced me to get on a horse and escape. That was the last time I've seen my family. Then later on, I was escorted by some good soldiers who are also good friends to take me to meet my grandfather and learned that I was a Noble since my mother was born royalty. Then sometime later, my grandfather died, making me the only one alive of the Sacean tribe." Lyn sadly says.
Mario looks down on the ground from hearing all the terrible things that happened to her family and everyone that cared for her and sees a lot of tears falling down of Lyn's cheeks. "I'm... I'm really sorry to hear that. I wish that I didn't bring up about your family."
"It's not your fault. It was really unfortunate how things went, but things got better when I met up with the Soldiers I fought with in some wars. Without them, I would be nothing. And thankfully I met you and the other Smashers. Even though it's really hard for me to not having a family alive anymore, I at least have my friends that care a lot about me." Lyn says.
Mario smiles and gives Lyn a tissue. "You're right. Even though your family and tribe are gone, you always have us. We'll always be here for you."
Lyn smiles and wipes away her tears with the tissue. "I'm glad that I get to talk to you about this. Hopefully one day I get to meet one of my friends here."
Suddenly, something is flying around the sky.
"Huh? What is that?" Mario wonders, looking up in the sky.
Lyn looks up and looks carefully. "It's a Pegasus."
The Pegasus flying around the sky soars down to where Mario and Lyn are and safely lands around them. On top is a woman with long purple hair, wearing a white dress with blue armor. Lyn couldn't believe her eyes as she sees an old friend of hers in front of her.
"Florina!" Lyn happily greeted.
Florina looks at the two Smashers and realizes Lyn, with tears of joy coming out of her eyes. "Lady Lyndis!" She runs to her and gives Lyn a huge hug. "Lady Lyndis, it's been too long! I miss you so much!"
Lyn smiles really happily and hugs Florina really tightly. "I miss you too. You grew a little taller than last time and prettier."
"Oh really? Thank you for your kind words, Lady Lyndis." Florina happily says.
"Call me Lyn. We're friends remember?" Lyn says.
"Sorry, I'm just use to formally calling your name like that." Florina apologizes.
"You look good yourself, Huey." Lyn says, petting the Pegasus.
"You must be one of Lyn's friends." Mario greeted.
Florina looks at Mario and quickly hides behind Lyn. "W... who's that? I never seen him before."
"That's Mario. He's the first person that I met in the fighting tournament I'm in." Lyn introduces.
"Nice to meet you." Mario says, offering his hand for a handshake.
Florina slowly reaches for Mario's hand, then hides behind Lyn again. "So scary... I've never seen someone with such a big nose before..."
"What did you say?!" Mario angrily says.
"Ahhhh!" Florina cried.
Lyn looks at Mario really angrily and Punches his arm. "Don't yell at her."
"Oww... I was just playing... Man, you really know how to throw a Punch." Mario says, rubbing his arm.
"Sorry about that. Mario really is a nice person. Go on a shake his hand." Lyn says.
Florina tries again and shakes Mario's hand. "Nice to meet you. My name's Florina, Lady Lyndis's best friend."
Mario smiles. "It's nice to meet you too."
Lyn then remembers something. "I almost forgot. Congratulations on your marriage with Hector."
"Thank you! I was really nervous that I fainted and he has to propose to me again when I woke up. It was so embarrassing." Florina says, slightly blushing.
"You two are made for each other. Hector maybe reckless, but he really cares a lot about you." Lyn says.
"He really does. Lord Hector always watches over me and we're always together wherever we go." Florina says.
"Good. If Hector is treating you badly, tell me and I'll teach him a lesson about manners." Lyn says.
Florina giggles. "Thank you, Lady Lyndis." Suddenly, her stomach starts growling.
"You must be hungry. Have some sandwiches and a cup of juice that Lyn made. It's really good." Mario says.
"Really? Then I must try some." Florina says.
"Don't hold back. I have plenty of sandwiches left. You can have some too, Huey." Lyn says.
Mario and Lyn prepares some sandwiches for Florina and Huey and have a nice conversation about everything that happened to them.
