Few weeks later...

Brayden had been healing pretty good. His kidneys were still in rough shape and he did need the dialysis. So for the time being he was on it twice a week. He couldn't do his dancing and that put him in a foul mood. Olivia had told both Amanda and Brayden that the trial would be coming up soon. That she did need both of them to testify in court.

Amanda sighed as she and Olivia talked while laying on the couch. "I really don't want Brayden testifying. Him being in the same room with Derek, Liv I know he's a teenager but I don't want him traumatized anymore. My god he's gotta be on dialysis. Isn't that enough trauma? He's only thirteen."

Olivia hugged Amanda, "Sweetheart, Brayden is alot stronger than you think. It might do him some good to actually face his father, get his feelings out and see that you did tell the truth that you love him unconditionally and his father doesn't. Bray needs to see for himself. We will all be there for the aftermath."

Upstairs Brayden was talking to Noah. Telling him how he felt. Not understanding why his father hated him so much. If his mom could accept him why couldn't his dad? Most of all why did his dad shoot him. He wasn't a bad person just because he danced. Noah just sat and listened. Noah just told him the same thing that his mother had told Amanda.

"Look Brayden, you're my best friend. Maybe you facing your dad in court will get your answers. He'll have to tell the truth of why your mom left him. Most importantly he will be held responsible for what he did to you."

Brayden knew that Noah was right. He was just scared. After all of this he didn't want to face his father again. He wanted to stay safe with his mom.

"Noah if I do this, would you be there in court with me? I know my mom will have your mom there for her. I'd like my best friend with me."

Noah looked at Brayden, "Of course. Brayden you're my best friend. As long as it's okay Ill be there with you. Have the doctors said when you can start dance again? I know you're working on building your strength back up."

"Mama has to take me to one more appointment and they can determine if I can handle dance. My father hated me that much, he wanted to take away my happiness. Noah, now I know what mama said was true. He did beat her ass. He hurt her and I was a jerk to her. Noah she encouraged me. She told me she was proud of me then and now."

Noah was happy to see Bray in a lighter mood. A bit more happier. He was also happy that his mom and Bray's mom were back on better terms.
