Secelia P.O.V

It had been the best week. Meeting my mate, talking to him, and finding out that we are alike. This made our decision to tell him the truth about Gen, soon. Even though we had only known each other a week the mating bond is instant. An instant connection between two souls. Bella was coming to town tomorrow, and I was a bit excited. It was Saturday and I was with Charlie as we fish.

"So you found your mate?" He asked as he handed us a fishing pole.

"Yeah, His name is Jasper Whitlock. He goes by Jasper Hale at school." I told him. As we returned to our conversation from breakfast. "He's a vampire?" He asked. I nodded.

"Fine, if he ever hurts you I'll light him on fire." He stated as matter of fact. The General snorted, 'Huh, Protective Charlie.'

"I'm sure you won't have to do that, Charlie." I tell him.

"We shall see, Marcus will help." He stated and I snorted aloud. Marcus Volturi was a distant relative of Charlie's, we found that out when we took Bella and Charlie to Italy about three years ago.

Flashback

"Ah, General Secelia Whitlock what brings you and two humans to the Volturi?" Asked Aro.

"I wanted to make a request," I stated as Bella hid slightly behind Charlie.

"What is that request?" He asked.

"Charlie Swan and I met when a rouge hybrid attacked him in the street. I took care of the hybrid and theirs just," I paused, their wasn't any words to describe what happened something just clicked and I felt I had to protect him. I sighed and let my guard down only slightly and handed Aro my hand. Cool hands gripped mine as I let Aro have access to the memory and my confusion.

After a few moments Aro dropped my hand. "It seems you have a strange bond with these two humans, they feel like family, and you want to either change them, or have someone turn them?" He asked.

"Yes," I answered.

"Did you say Swan?" Asked Marcus, hope,

"Yes, my name's Charlie Swan." Charlie answered,

"Any relation to Anita and Andrew Swan?" He asked, more hope

"They were my great, great, great grandparents," He answered.

"Then you have nothing to fear, they are my descendants Aro." He stated.

"Very well, I feel this will be very interesting to Caius once he returns from his trip." Aro states

End Flashback

"You're family, you know kid." Charlie stated and I feel my chest warm.

"Yeah, Chief, I know." I tell him.

3rd P.O.V

Secelia awoke the next day in excitement. She took a shower and got dressed in a long sleeved red shirt, skinny jeans, her boots, and of course her black leather jacket. She went downstairs and grabbed a cup of coffee.

"Mornin, Chief," She greeted as Charlie tried and failed to sneak up on her.

"Damn, I was going to scare you. You're no fun Lia!" He exclaimed jokingly.

"Hey! I am lots of fun. Remember the summer when you and Bells stayed in Texas." She asked.

"Ah, How could I forget, seeing Peter with pink hair was hilarious." He commented. Secelia laughed, "yeah, it was one of Avery's favorite tricks. When I lost Rosie and Avery I continued on with the tradition." She said sobering up at the mention of her daughters.

"Rosie would be seventeen, Avery would be sixteen, and Jayson nineteen." She shook her head pushing back the painful memories. Charlie listened quietly. Secelia had explained how she lost them. The girls in a fire set by someone named Victoria, and the boy she lost when he was ten in a house caught on fire by the boys 'father.' Charlie also shook his head. If he kept thinking about it he would have to hunt him down. Instead, he squeezed her shoulder comfortingly.

"Come on, Kiddo, let's go get our girl."

"How many times do I gotta tell you, stop calling me kid!" She banters.

"Never, now come on we don't want to leave poor Bells at the freezing airport!" He laughs grabbing his keys and guiding her out the door. Secelia let him knowing it was for his peace of mind. Charlie drives to the airport. Secelia makes herself comfortable in the backseat. As she is riding she gets a text message.

What did the horse say after it tripped?

What? She asked.

Help! I've fallen and I can't giddyup!

Thanks, Pete She replied.

What are brothers for?-P

"Will you stop pacing son, you're going to wear a hole in the carpet!" Carlisle worried, but that wasn't his biggest concern. No his biggest concern was not Jasper, it was Edward. Edward who had been out of sorts this past week, and Edward who had a problem with Secelia.

"This Bella, is important to my mate, I will not let her loose her if she means so much. Send Edward to the Daniels they will look after him. He may even find his mate." Jasper presented a clear solution to the problem, but how to execute it to Edward so he will go along with it. Then an idea came to him.

"I know that look, what are you planning?" Jasper asked, Carlisle smirked. "Don't worry son, you'll see. I know what to tell him now."

"Whatever ya say Pa." Carlisle stared after Jasper's retreating figure. Had that been the first time his son called him that?

"Ya all right, Doctor Cullen?" Asked Peter with a smirk standing outside his door. Leaning against the doorframe.

"You're going to be trouble aren't you?" Is Carlisle's response. Peter throws his head back and laughed. Carlisle grinned before going to search for his lovely mate.

"Bell, it's good to see you." Secelia greeted stiffly in the crowded airport. Bella smiled at her friend and wrapped her arms around her. They hug a moment before pulling away.

"Hey, Dad!" Bella warmly greeted hugging her father briefly. Pulling away she noticed Secelias stiff posture.

"Let's get out of here, and get some food." She suggested. Charlie laughed and grabbed her bags.

"Couldn't agree more." He stated following both girls out. Life just got a whole lot brighter.
