POV: Briljof
"Ah, you're finally awake," the woman's eyes snapped open and locked onto mine. Sea green in their color.
"Didn't think they'd get you. If I hadn't marked when we first started moving I would've lost you," I didn't know what she meant by marking but I assume she meant something magic wise. The others in the carriage visibly moved away from the woman and the gagged man's eyes widened. From those reactions that probably meant it was a hard thing to do.
"Got unlucky. They were waiting for these guys all across the place," I gestured with my head to the Stormcloaks with us. "Got caught in the middle of it all."
"Same here… You got any information on what the hells is going on?" she asked as she began to look around and try to get her bearings.
"Not a clue," I stated before looking at the others in the carriage. "Care to fill us in?"
"Shut the chatter back there," the imperial barked from the front.
"Fuck off," I barked right back and he shut up. My expectant look never wavering from the others in the carriage. They looked between eachother before looking at the gagged man. Seeing as he was an enemy of the Thalmor it might do to give him an inkling as to who I was. Raising my left hand and showing the severed pinky he looked confused for a moment before his eyes lit up in recognition. He nodded to the others immediately.
"Skyrim wants independence from the Empire because those milk drinkers outlawed the right for us to worship Talos. Our former high king beant over for the Thalmor but the true sons of Skyrim refused and Jarl Ulfric challenged the High Emporer, Torig, to an honor duel for right of High Emperor. Ulfric won but the Empire immediately decided they didn't like that and said that he was a traitor. We've been in open rebellion ever since," the blond one stated and from the way he spoke of and looked at the gagged man it was easy to assume he was Ulfric. Which meant we were destined to a very public execution. Not good for my life span, the woman seemed to recognize this as well.
"Fuck."
"My sentiments exactly…"
"Braella," she filled in for me.
"We're fucked in case something miraculous happens for us," that seemed to set the mood that was already somber into a downward spiral. Like it could get any better.
We settled into quiet acceptance as the wagon continued onwards on the road. All of us waiting to see the place where we would end up dying. The only positive of the whole thing was as we road I got to finally admire the beauty that was Skyrim. It truly was a beautiful place even if you could tell it was a harsh place to live. The way the trees flowed together with the snow and the gentle breeze that accompanied it. Chirping of birds and rustling of leaves making it serene enough to get lost in. Probably would've if death wasn't so close to happening.
As we road Braella produced a Talos pendent from below her robes which got looks from all those present. The workmanship of the pendant she pulled out was incredible. It was old, incredibly so, and looked like it dated all the way back to when Talos ascended to Godhood. I wasn't a history man by any means but it looked that old.
When she saw us looking at the pendant she held it out in the middle of us all. Knowing what she was offering us we all reached out our hands and put our hands on it. When we all had our hands on it we silently prayed to Talos that he either guide us to the halls of Sovngarde or grant us freedom. None of us knew if he heard our prayer to him for it but we could hope that he did.
The imperial at the front looked over his shoulder and saw us in our group prayer but said nothing. Don't know if he would tell on us but it didn't matter to us. It was our silent moment and we were going to take it as the future wasn't looking very kind for us. When we were done she put her pendant away and we leaned back in the carriage and continued to wait it out.
An hour later we started to hear the commotion of a town close by and heard the soldiers begin to mutter amongst themselves. A few minutes after that the gate of a city was in front of us with a man dressed in immaculate armor sitting atop a horse right outside of it. Braella and I didn't recognize the man but the rest of our group did. Muttering the name General Tullius.
A Thalmor woman is standing right beside his horse too as we are escorted by. At first her eyes are only on Ulfric and they show only contempt at the man until her eyes shift to me. There was a hint of recognition in them but couldn't place me. My time in Hammerfell gained me quite the reputation but they never really got a good look at my face and only knew about my pinky, armor and weapons. Meaning my time was closing quickly even if I avoided the headsman today.
We went through the gates and the town taking a few minutes to get to the entrance to what had to be the town center. There was a giant pillar to our left where they probably stored the grain and food for the town and right in front of it was the headsman. Giant ax and all with a bucket for the heads and a stump to bend us over. There was a priestess as well but she was hard to focus on.
General Tullius and the Thalmor woman watching our carriage with the most interest even as another pulled in front of us. When we stopped we were escorted out of the carriage and they began reading off names. Ulrif, Ralof, and Sven being the three who had been with us confirming my suspicion about the gagged man. Ulfric got some jeers from those assembled along with shouts of protest at his impending execution.
"And your name Prisoner?" the man with the sheet in front of me asked breaking me out of my stupor.
"Briljof Bjoarikson," the man looked down at his sheet for a few moments and couldn't find my name before looking at the armored woman next to him.
"His name's not on the list ma'am," his statement earned a snarl from the woman.
"He killed three of ours in the attack. I don't care if his name is on there or not; he goes to the block," she ground out.
"I protected myself as a traveler and your men paid the price for their severe incompetence. Your men need discipline," walking away from the commander before she could get angrier I took the spot to the right of Ralof with my back turned to her.
Braella went next and went mostly the same as it had gone for me. Instead the commander ripped the Talos pendent off of Braella's neck and held it in her hand before pocketing it. This drew angry shouts from many present and almost made Braella attack the woman but was restrained immediately by two other guards.
Growling in anger at the blatant display of disrespect I held myself back. It would do me or anyone else any good to make a move at the moment and we all knew it. With where we were death was all but guaranteed. Braella seemed to realize this as well but her eyes never left the commander who had pocketed her pendent.
With Braella by us now the Priestess began her spiel of last rights only to be interrupted by one of the Stormcloaks. One of the ones who hadn't ridden with us barking for her to get on with it. Stopping completely the priestess moved aside as the man walked up to the stump and leaned over it. The headsman not skipping a beat before raising his ax high and bringing it down on the mans neck. Head falling into the bucket and when it did lightning sounded in the distance.
However, the day was as clear as it could possibly get which drew my eyes scanning everywhere for where the sound came from. There was only so many places that the sound could have come from and all obvious ones weren't there. I wasn't the only one looking around either as Braella did so as well. Our eyes catching each others with confusion across both of us.
When the sound didn't continue the executions continued but as the next man went forth the sound came back with vengeance. Followed by what could have only been a roar but from what confused me. Nothing I knew of could make that loud of a roar but the imperials and present Thalmor pushed it aside in favor of the executions.
As the headsman raised his ax on the next man the sound came back again but this time something giant and black flew over the mountain straight towards the pillar behind the headsman. The moment the headsman brought his ax down on the unlucky man what could only be a dragon landed on top of the pillar sending us all to the ground from its landing. The top of the pillar cracking under its weight.
Looking at the beast with jet black scaled and blood red eyes. Scales jutting out from all over the beast as it observed us as the apex predator that it was. Viewing us as only prey and at the moment that's all that we were. This dragon was massive standing at least three men tall and more than a dozen wide with its wings outstretched. It spoke in a guttural language as that's all that it could be as behind its eyes was intelligence. A bloodthirsty and destructive intelligence but one all the same.
All of us stood shocked and stunned at its entrance before it opened its mouth again and its voice boomed forward. The sky seemingly answering its call as it darkened and started to rain massive stones. As soon as my eyes saw the stones I broke out of the trance of watching the beast and screamed out.
"Scatter!"
As soon as the words were out of my mouth I grabbed Braella's hands and pulled her towards the tower about 20 paces away. She only needed the first tug before she was following me without encouragement. Ulfric and Ralof already ahead of us and reaching the tower Ralof held open the door for us before slamming it shut the moment we were through the door.
Collecting ourselves inside the tower we could hear the screams of people outside. Of women and children running for their lives, men fighting and dying almost instantly. Either crushed by the falling stones and cut off mid scream or burning alive. Those screams were always distinct with the high pitch; could never tell if it was a woman or man. Even the ground shook underfoot as the stones kept falling, the tower shaking when the rocks hit it.
"What the fuck was that!" Ralof shouted as we all began panting inside the tower more from shock than actual fatigue. Ulfric, now ungagged, answered the man.
"A dragon."
"Dragons are a myth," was Ralof's immediate answer.
"Myths don't attack towns for no reason. That's a fucking dragon," Braella snarled. The nordic beauty in her shining through with her harsh words. Parts of her outfit singed revealing a bit of her body. Making all three of the men around her take looks longer than what could be deemed polite. Seeing our eyes wander she rolled her eyes.
"We need to get out of here, this town and tower in particular is a death sentence," I spoke breaking out of the ogling of a beautiful nord women first. Parts of her rags, dressed the same as me singed and burning but keeping her modesty for the most part; just showing enough. Everyone shook their heads before nodding their agreement and began to look anywhere that we could go. Braella and I going up the stairs as we heard someone up there.
We saw Sven up there trying to move some rubble. He looked back at us for a moment before the wall shattered next to him as the head of the dragon poked through. Opening its mouth a stream of fire screamed out of its mouth incinerating Sven instantly. Seemingly satisfied with its work its claws released and it took off.
Running up the stairs we saw that the hole now opened to a house in front of us with its roof broken open. Looking at each other we nodded before shouting down to Ulfric and Ralof that we found a way out. We didn't wait for them though and jumped out immediately.
The building was burning all around us as we jumped in and upon getting my feet I charged the door. Crashing through the burning door and landing on the cold ground outside with the splinters from the door flying everywhere. Braella right behind me and helped me up before moving to follow the city road we had come in on.
We took all of one step before the dragon slammed in front of us. Immediately changing directions, we jumped right back behind another burning building. Barely avoiding the beam of fire that erupted from the dragon's maw. Each of us hearing the screams of a man abruptly stop. A few moments later the beating of wings echoed as we saw the dragon take off.
With the dragon out of the immediate way we sprinted down the road before diverting inbetween the wall and some archer towers. We slowed to a slow shuffle next to wall as we heard the dragon continue its havoc on the city. Getting maybe halfway down the wall before the dragon landed on it. One of its claws slamming into the wall mere inches from my face. I dared not breath not knowing how sensitive the dragon was. Intent on letting it focus on the Empire's soldiers at the moment.
It breathed thrice as it clung to the wall. Once was fire and the second was ice and the third time it opened its mouth the loudest bellow sounded. A force unlike any other erupting from its mouth. Blowing away everything in its way from soldiers to buildings alike. When the force blew away the town it took off. The first two shouts fro the dragon had been manageable for our ears but the third left our ears ringing even as we clutched our hands over them. Both Braella and myself breathing sighs of relief before continuing down the wall.
Reaching the end of it we had to ways to go. To the right was freedom and to the left was the prison which should have a secondary exit, maybe. We chose freedom first only to spin on our heels and sprint towards the prison as the dragon landed on the outer wall blocking our freedom. That path quickly went from freedom to death.
Regardless we sprinted towards the prison. Ralof and the imperial who had asked for our names appearing in front of us. We didn't need to ask each other on who to go with, immediately going with Ralof. Barging through the door that he was holding open for us before he slammed it closed.
"Ulfric?" I asked knowing he had been with them last I saw.
"Got out but the path closed before I could follow. There's a secondary exit here anyways, I should know. I helped create it," his second part telling me all that was needed to be known.
Already in the area with us though was a Stormcloak body who looked half burned. Unlucky man made it here but died from his wounds before he could go farther. Knowing he wouldn't need what he had on him I grabbed the ax he had clutched in his hand before donning the mail. Braella still had her clothing, singed as it was, but it would help her hear as a mage to be mobile; the armor wouldn't help her.
Getting the armor on all of us heard another door open and voices echo. We couldn't tell who exactly they belonged to until they got closer at which we recognized the voice as belonging to the Commander. The one who had taken Braella's pendent. Braella's growl of anticipation significant as she stepped out of cover and stared down the commander through the bars.
The commander answered her growl with one of her own before opening the door and charging through. I let her go past her intent on letting Braella take her and waited another moment as two more came through. The second one getting the taken ax slammed into his head dropping him to the floor dead. However, the ax was buried to far deep in their head and couldn't be pulled out in time to block the seconds sword.
Not wanting to get cut and probably die, I jumped backwards avoiding the slash of the soldier. He overextended and slammed the sword into the brick wall eliciting sparks from the brick. Reacting quickly and pinning his sword arm against the brick and rearing my head back I headbutted him making him stumble back releasing his sword.
His hands on his now broken nose in an act of inexperience he never had time to react. My newly acquired sword slashing across his neck shredding it. He collapsed to the ground gurgling on his blood, he succumbed in a matter of moments. Knowing that was the case the moment I swung my body turned on instinct to fight the commander. It wasn't needed as she was already a charred husk on the ground, her armor melted to her body.
"I feel left out," Ralof stated into the silence between us. I tossed him the sword in response before gripping the ax and wrenching it out of the soldier's head. Blood spurting outwards.
"Now, you have a weapon. And she had the keys, lets get out of here," Braella jingled the keys as she spoke before opening the far door.
Taking the lead in front of the other two we crept down the hallway. Again we heard voices as we made our way through the prison but it would be another few minutes before we saw the people they belonged to. Walking through the brick path we had been on it opened up into a kitchen with two imperials scavenging before they inevitably fled or waited it out. From the discipline I had seen from them my money was on them diserting.
They would never get the chance to as if they saw us they would attack. With that in mind I stalked close to one and got behind him as he rummaged through a barrel. Lifting his dagger off of his holster as it jangled there he never felt it. He never had a chance as my hand clamped over his mouth and his own dagger slit his throat.
Gliding the body to the ground careful not to make a sound his buddy he had been talking to never took notice continuing to talk. Silently making my way to him he continued to talk until he finally didn't get an answer. Turning to look at where his buddy had been with mild confusion on his face it turned to horror an instant later as my new knife buried itself in the mans throat.
Ripping the iron dagger out and wiping it off I nodded to the other two and we continued on our way. Making our way through the prison with bodies and bones held up in positions that only would have been for torture. Ralof and Braella's anger growing along the way but mine didn't. Not that it didn't affect me but this wasn't a new to me; the Thalmor did far worse in Hammerfell. It just built upon the rage already festering inside.
As we passed a few shelves they held some potions for health and one for stamina. Things weren't very practical because of their size to carry them around but they would have to do for now. Ralof grabbed a bag that they were using for potatoes and dumped it out so we could use it to carry the potions; four health, three stamina.
Once packed we pushed onwards finding stairs fairly quickly. Going down them we heard two pairs of voices talking. We couldn't make out the voices until we were almost at the bottom of the stairs. Signaling for the two behind me to stop I peaked my head around the corner.
There was an obvious torturer and his assistant talking to each other but the torturer caught me looking the moment I poked my head out. Seeing his eyes widen at me stealth was no longer an option so I sprinted around the corner without telling the others and charged the two. Slamming my shoulder into the assistant as he turned around making him stumble back.
This put me a mere foot away from the torturer and he was ready. Blasting me with sparks straight to the chest. Sending me sprawling on the ground twitching. It lasted only a moment before the man dropped like a sack of potatoes as a bolt of ice slammed into his face. Getting to my feet to help with the assistant, I need not worry about him as Ralof had already dealt with the man.
When we were finished I looted the two bodies to see if they had anything worthwhile on them. A few pieces of gold and the torturer had one of my knives. Seeing it I was happy to have it back in my hands but infuriated that it had already been looted. Especially since the knife's twin and my armor were nowhere to be found. Best guess that the torturer knew who it was but it was too late to ask him now.
Shaking my head I motioned for Ralof and Braella to follow me. The three of us continued on our way out of the prison following the path set before us and before long there was sounds of fighting. Getting to the end of the path we were on it opened up into a cavern and sure enough Stormcloaks and Imperials were going at it. At least it made figuring out who to kill easy.
Braella started off by firing a fireball onto the fire side of the cavern impacting in the middle of two archers and sending them flying on fire. The action halted the fighting as everyone looked to see who had joined the fight but I was already moving not bothering to wait or 'make an entrance'. Ax and my own knife in hand the first imperial never had a chance to defend himself.
His sword swatted away by my ax before my knife buried itself in his neck. Ripping it out and sending blood spurting everywhere was what started the fighting again. From there I made my way through the imperials flanked by two of the larger greatsword wielding Stormcloaks. We may have never fought together before but they were obvious veterans knew what to do.
The three of us spearheaded our way through the Imperials. They kept the imperials from flanking me and I bounced in front of and behind them taking all of the openings that their massive swords provided. An Imperial barely blocking one of the swords with his shield before my ax hooked around the guard of his sword and ripped it from his hand. My dagger attempting to skewer his neck but he moved his shield in time. It opened him up for another slash from the greatsword wielding Stormcloak and cut his head off in the process. Shooting blood into the air like a geyser
Spinning away from the decapitated soldier I jump kicked the next closest Imperial soldier in the shield arm. Sent it off course and allowed the other greatsword Stormcloak to bury it in the man's collar bone. He screamed for a moment before my ax buried itself in his face silencing him.
Ripping the ax out of his face the three of us moved across the natural bridge and squared off against the three remaining imperials. Two of them had bows but we had more than enough numbers and Braella who, from the sound of it, I had lightning ready and charged. All three chose the smart option and dropped their weapons. One even hit the handle that dropped the bridge leading out of the cave.
Walking up to one of the dropped bows and picking it up I slung it over my shoulder before grabbing the quiver. Only had about 12 arrows and they were all iron. Low quality but it would do for hunting and I was good enough with a bow at close ranges it wouldn't matter to much. Hopefully the bow was at least decent; there were no knicks or anything obvious but with mass produced stuff like these bows they were never consistent. One could last years and always be reliable while the another could shatter after the 10th shot. It was luck of the draw with them.
Regardless of that the fighting was over as I made my way across the bridge. The two greatsword wielding Stormcloaks flanking me with Ralof and Braella right behind them. However, the rest of the Stormcloaks stayed behind. They spoke quietly to Ralof before nodding and the man looked to me.
"They're going to stay and help out whoever else comes down."
"Don't stay too long people. Talos guides," I shouted out to the staying Stormcloaks. All of them voicing their agreement with shouts.
"You two coming with us?" Braella asked as she moved past the two new Stormcloaks with us.
"Aye," the one on my left stated while the one on the right just nodded. The left one was a head taller than me and built like a tower of brick. Flowing blond hair with blue eyes and a rough face with some lightning burn scars on his right cheek; the typical Nord. The one on the right was almost as tall with short pitch black hair and emerald eyes, a scarf around his neck. A younger face than the blond and no visible scars but he had seen just as much action; you could see it in their eyes. Best guess they were both approaching their 30th winter with the blond being older.
"Names?" the blond answered my question immediately.
"Skja. This is Nelkrr; he doesn't speak," in response to that Nelkrr lowered the scarf around his neck. Had an impressive set of scars there, probably destroyed his voice when it happened. Must've had a healer close by if he's still alive.
"You know hand signals?" Nelkrr nodded at my question. "Good. Just listen to them and follow me. Let's go"
They didn't need any more encouragement as we crossed the bridge. Making our way out of the cavern quickly. There was a stream a few feet to our left we followed until it went through a crack we couldn't follow. At the crack there was another path to right and we used it.
Reaching the end of the path as it opened into another cave there was a singular bear sleeping in the middle of the patch. Signalling for everyone to stop I unslung the bow before knocking an arrow. Lining up a shot on the Bears eyes and calming my heart my bow lined up and released the arrow.
The arrow found its mark slamming into the bears closed eye. It awoke immediately and roared swinging its head around looking for the shooter before it locked its eyes on us. Never had a chance to move towards us though as another arrow was loosed. This one hitting it right between the eyes and went straight into its brain. It dropped to the ground with a thud.
Was a true waste to just leave the body there. Plenty of food was on a bear not to mention its pelt. There was nothing that could be done for it though as we needed to get out of here. Continuing on our way. Following the path on the far side of the cave it took us to another face with nothing in it. Looking around for confirmation I made to continue onwards before a hand gripped my shoulder.
Reacting on instinct my dagger was in my hand and pressed up against the side of the owner of the hand. Stopping myself from burying it in Nelkrr who simply pointed upwards. Looking up on the ceiling there were nine Frostbite spiders. Nodding in thanks to the man my eyes found Braella who shook her head and motioned to the exit
Silently cursing at the development I signalled for them to follow me exactly. Taking careful steps on the path to avoid anything that could make a sound we began making our way through the cavern. Braella casting Muffle on all of us before we even started to make it easy. Talos seemed to smile on us as we made it through without a sound. Leaving the Frostbite spiders to their sleep. Fucking hated spiders.
That's not mentioning the fact that Frostbite spiders were an unknown to me. Didn't know a damn thing about them besides that they were far bigger than the average spider. No idea on their venom, patterns, behaviors or anything really. Something that became glaringly obvious once I realized that this applied to basically everything about Skyrim as a whole. A visit to a library or anyone willing to hand out a book on Skyrim was needed immediately.
It wasn't long after we made it through the cave that we found an exit. All of us breathing a sigh of relief before we all heard the roar of the dragon. Ralof, Braella and myself falling to the ground and getting under any available brush immediately. Skja and Nelkrr were a moment behind us but they followed nonetheless.
Not a second after they got under some brush did we see a black blur fly over our heads. Thing was just as massive several hundred paces away as it had been up close. Putting it in perspective of how big it was when even at that distance it was massive. It never deemed to look at us and just kept flying away. All of us happy with that result.
"Any of you have a plan then?" Skja asked as we stood up and dusted ourselves off.
"I have a sister in Riverwood and from the looks of it the Dragon is head in that direction. I need to head that way," Ralof walked away the moment that he was done talking. The rest of us exchanged looks at the sudden walk away but it made sense. Family is most important afterall.
"I want to get on my way to Winterhold and get to the College but I'm going to Whiterun before that. Need to make sure the city is warned about the Dragon," Braella looked me, Skja and Nelkrr expectantly. I shrugged my shoulders before responding.
"Got family near Whiterun. I'll come with," Braella nodded to me before looking at Skja and Nelkrr. Skja ripped off the Windhelm symbol on his chest, Nelkrr doing the same a moment later. Without the symbol on their chests it looked like they were wearing regular padded iron armor.
"We'll join you."
With our course set we moved together as a group in the same formation as we had followed through the caves. Myself on point with Skja and Nelkrr on my sides with Braella in the back as our long range support. We followed the natural path that had been laid before us for a time eventually coming upon three stone like structures. I had no idea what they were but Skja broke from our group without a word to go look at them.
"Know what they are?" my simple question to the man went unanswered for almost a minute before he touched the one that had a man with an ax engraved on it. The stone and man glowed a blue hue for a moment before it faded. When that happened I immediately made the signal to Braella to check to see if he was cursed. Skja seemed like a decent guy but letting a cursed man journey with you was a death sentence for all involved. She cast her spell immediately and gave me a thumbs up after a moment.
"They are the Stones?" Skja finally spoke when the hue faded.
"That doesn't do much for me Skja," I stated getting a nod of agreement from Braella.
"You are both Nords but do not know of the Stones?" we both shrugged our shoulders at his question, he didn't seem to mind and explained. "The Stones are said to grant certain abilities to those that receive their blessings. The warrior, thief and mage stones here are said to enhance ones ability to learn the their chosen craft."
"How rare are these stones?" Braella asked
"There is said to be 12 but I have never heard of anyone finding one. Until now at least," eyes widening at his words it truly did strengthen my opinion that Talos had answered our prayers earlier.
Getting over that shock I walked up to the stones and contemplated them. Mage was out as my body held no talent for the arts of magic. Thief was out as well as my skills in stealth, assassination and bows was already the best. Which left only the warrior, it would be nice to get a boost in that regard. Was always my weakpoint when it came to fighting; even in the cavern if it wasn't for Skja and Nelkrr the fight would've been plenty harder and likely with injury as well.
Touching the stone I didn't feel anything but the blue hue that had appeared for Skja appeared for me as well. Smiling at that Nelkrr went next, though he chose the Thief stone. Braella went with her strengths and went to the Mage stone quickly. All of us receiving a blue hue around ourselves before it quickly faded. We exchanged smiles before going on our way to Whiterun
POV: Elenwen
Helgen was an inch from being a complete disaster. With Ulfric dead the destabilizationn of Skyrim wouldn't have been able to continue and the Empire would've been strengthened again. There was nothing that could have been done about it though as he had been captured and Tullius himself was there. My hands had been tied but then the Gods smiled upon the Thalmor.
A dragon of all things, the biggest beast I have ever seen, dropped out of the sky and interrupted the execution. It was an amazing thing to witness and would've been a boon to study but the beast was far too volatile. Immediately it began attacking all those within sight. It was a small miracle me and my people were able to escape unharmed. Only wished that Tullius had died but he too had survived.
The biggest bonus of all though was the prisoner. After seeing the armor he possessed and one of the knives, the other taken and there was no time to search for it, told us exactly who he was. Pinky, the demon of Hammerfell, and we now knew exactly what he looked like. Finally we could begin hunting him in earnest. The sketch of his face already being distributed across Tamriel. He would have nowhere to hide and his bounty will be increased.
The Nords, Empire and all the rest of Tamriel may hate the Thalmor but no one will say no to a 5,000 gold bounty. It was only a matter of time before someone would get the better of him. All I had to do was wait. That being said the man had a striking resemblance to the slave who had almost killed me six years ago. The poison he had crafted fell nearly everyone and should've killed me if my brother hadn't given me a cureall just days before I went there. He wasn't so lucky.
His head will be mounted on a spear for all to see. Fills me with joy to know his days were numbered.
And that's chapter 2 folks. Hope you enjoyed.
