To the outside world it looked like they looked at each other for a few seconds, inside that Genjutsu, however, was much longer, and since they would not be able to keep it secret fromJ'on, they both decided to engage in much needed aerobic exercise and this type of exercise was the kind they missed for a very long time.
Naruto looked at her and he noticed the smile on her face as she kissed him right in front of everyone. Naruto, Batman and she took off in the man's plane towards Egypt as planned. The idea was simple, find the smoke making machine, tear it open and find out what is causing the smoke in the first place.
"So Uncle mind telling me what you plan to do with the leader of these creatures once we find him?" Naruto looked at Bruce and he gave him a look that made Bruce almost feel pity for the poor foolish alien that managed to get Naruto angry enough to make him forget the giving the option to surrender.
"Thanks to that thing the woman I love had to endure nightmares night after night, those that mess with those I hold as precious pay the price, and believe me, when I find this Imperium, I am going to make him wish he could crawl into a black hole and die by the time I am done with him."
The machine looked like a giant crab with an active volcano placed on it's back. From the looks of it as they flew around the thing had no opening, "Fox that thing has no openings, what do you suggest we do?"
Naruto looked at Diana and he smiled, as they landed and began walking towards the giant structure, he began making a few hand signs, and a big ball of energy began to appear in his hand, the ball looked like a constantly spinning mass of energy, "Actually love, if there is no opening, the solution is simple. We make one!"
Naruto threw the ball of energy at the side of the structure and as soon as it touched the side it began to suck parts of it until there was a massive opening, and a piece of the outside of it fell down to actually form a bridge to the opening.
"I really wish I could do that too, Uncle. It would make my life so much easier if I could." Diana smiled and placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder.
"I am sure you would Nephew, but believe me when I tell you, your Uncle and I aren't your typical people and those that can do the things we can do no longer exist. You need the ability to turn your physical strength and mental strength into an energy that has not been seen or used in thousands of years. I am sure he told you about Chakra."
Naruto looked at her and began shaking his head, "Could we talk about all the abilities humanity lost after we get inside the horrific looking smoke factory that is quite obviously a trap?" That is when the two of them looked at Naruto and realized that he had actually told them something that they really should reconsider.
"Mind telling me why you think it's a trap?" Naruto couldn't believe Diana, the love of his life could not see why, "For starters we know these creatures can only like in darkness which is why they are using these things to block out the sun, second we know they actually operate this thing which means no sunlight can get in."
He then pointed at the opening, "And last nothing you two can do can actually kill them, so it is pretty much an ambush as far as I been able to figure, so instead of doing the dumb thing of actually going ourselves in there and get our minds slowly tortured out of us, we are going to do the smart thing and send three shadow clones that look like us, and one to steal the power source of this blasted thing."
He did make the three shadow clones and for a second Batman and Wonder Woman looked at them for a second, no it was not creepy at all for Naruto to see the clone of his reincarnated son look over the clone of his wife, who happened to also be the resurrected form of his mother. Of course, it was creepy as hell, but a good slap got them both to actually do what he wanted them to do.
Batman took a position to spy on the clones progress, and Wonder Woman just sat down with Naruto because she knew perfectly well this was just a matter of time. "Honestly husband, did you have to make my clone look so realistic? What purpose could they serve other than a distraction?"
Naruto looked at her as she was sitting on his lap, "For one they are not mere distractions, they are also sources of information, when the monsters think they have won, they will take the clones to the place they take their prisoners, and when they try to drain them of both information and mental energy, they will disappear and I will know exactly where they have their Headquarters, so we can go and rescue all the other people trapped within."
"Secondly when they think they have won, they will lower their guard and my last clone will be able to steal the power source of that monstrosity. Our son then will reverse engineer it to be able to reverse the smoke and kill the invading army, this will, in turn, I imagine upset their leader something awful."
Diana was smiling for two reasons, and one was something she was sitting on. "So when his army is dealt with he will go the route of so many tyrants then, if his invading army can't get the job done, he will have to do it himself."
Sure enough, after thirty minutes the clone came running out of the opening and he had a large crystal in his arms, the thing must be the power source. As the clone tossed him the crystal the invaders manage to take that clone too, thinking he wanted to get rid of it.
After that, they were free to go back to the cave beneath Bruce's house. The second he got the memories of the other clones he knew exactly what he wanted and something he didn't. It appears that the others actually did the thing Naruto managed to prevent, they opened the side of the large structure and went inside, which caused the thing Naruto figured would happen, they got captured.
Bruce kept working on the crystal and looking for ways to put the smoke making structure in reverse at worst, and at best make it able to destroy the smoke these structures was making. Diana and Naruto were not sitting around either, they began making something the world had never seen before. They managed to get Chakra to the emit the same light as the sun, and then they managed to encase it within a portable shell.
Even as they finished and tested a few of them, Diana read what the shells were intended to be used for and came up with a rather silly name for it, Naruto was not about to tell her that it was silly anytime soon, she called them Sunlight Grenades. Now you see why Naruto considered the name silly.
It turns out the only thing they needed to do was reverse the polarity on the device, just switch the crystal to another position and that would clear the atmosphere of the smoke.
First things first, they had to deal with the invading army and the factories first or be overwhelmed by them invading and taking over the bodies of more innocent people.
Diana was all smiles as they actually returned and they saw the shocked look on the invaders face, they pretty much figured they gotten rid of them, the first grenade exploded and took out fifty of their soldiers and with a few of them, the structure was cleared in record time.
Bruce installed the crystal and sure enough, the smoke began to clear all over the world, "Ok, you know where the others are, where are we going Uncle?" Naruto looked at him and asked him where was a major space research site in the state of Florida.
"Damn it, of course, Cape Canaveral. The Senator was an astronaut for crying out loud, of course, they would use a complex the man knew so well. Do we still have some of those light grenades?" Diana took out a storage scroll from her belt and showed it to Bruce.
"I wouldn't worry so much about out stock Nephew, we got all the grenades we will ever need." As soon as they got in the plane Bruce took off in a rather hurry, I mean Naruto didn't even have time to strap in." Naruto figured that Bruce was worried about Jason, another thing that made him realize he was right, Bruce was Itachi and Jason was Sasuke. Itachi always worried about the welfare of his brother after all.
Before they landed Naruto threw down two grenades and that pretty much cleared the landing zone of the enemy. They ran inside the main building, where the control center of the entire place was located. As soon as he got there they saw what looked like a human floating up in the air.
"So Fox, Wonder Woman, and Batman, so happy you finally made it here. Your friends have been most accommodating in keeping me well fed, and informed. Why do you do this? Why the senseless struggle? You all know if I could defeat the Martians, who were more technologically advanced than your species, I will defeat all of you as well."
Bruce looked at the man and smiled with pride, "Looks like Uncle was right about two things, the senator never did make it back to Earth, and you did steal the mind reading powers from the people from Mars."
The senator began to laugh, "I have to admit, that stealing just the shape-shifting ability would be wasteful, no matter how useful it is, the mind reading ability allowed me to infiltrate your government and so many necessary industries and military positions."
"But if you think you are facing a mere mortal, think again, you are facing nothing less than a god! It is the time I came down and absorb everything that is alive in your world, you shall become part of me and you and all your abilities will make me stronger for all the future planets I will consume."
Naruto had enough of this maniac, and he was upset enough that it actually showed on his face. "You gave your little speech and now you will listen to me. Because of you the woman who I love, the very light of my soul, had to endure having no peaceful sleep for a long time, you took Robin and tortured him, someone I love as if he was my son!"
"As for your claims to Godhood, you are a parasite and that is all you are. You don't take over worlds because you want to be strong you take over worlds because you need to do it to survive. You are just a leech, and I am very, very angry with you."
The building was ripped in half and they saw a large creature come down from the sky, it looked like the fusion of a skull, with red light coming from its empty eye sockets, and had large tentacles coming from underneath it.
"YOU WERE SAYING? DO I LOOK LIKE A LEECH TO YOU NOW!"
Naruto looked at the Imperium and flew up to be able to look at its eyes. "You finally decided to show your real self, to answer your question Imperium, yes you do look like a parasite to me. Now let me show you how a God does battle!"
Naruto began to grow until he was as big as the invading parasite, he had sent five hundred shadow clones to search and eliminate the remaining invading army, this was nothing that surprising to Diana, the creature may think of itself a god, but Naruto was one. He was the God of Shinobi, the Sage of the Six Paths.
With a massive uppercut, he sent that creature screaming in pain into space. Naruto flew up to where he sent him with that punch, "The reason you wanted to cloud the sky is because your putrid skin can't handle the sun, you tricked Superman into getting rid of the bombs to make Earth more defenseless, but you never knew that what you got rid of is nothing even close to me when I am mad."
He clapped his hands together and began making hand signs with both hands. As soon as he was done it looked like the energy attack he used to crack open the side of one of his smoke factories, but it was much, much bigger, it was the size of a small moon, and the thing that seems to terrify the Imperium was that it was not wind inside the large ball, but what appears to be pure sunlight.
"For my wife, For my friends, For my children! I am not mad creature, I am furious enough that simply beating you is not enough. Now for harming all those I hold precious, I condemn you to die!"
He threw the large sunlight Rasengan at the creature and it was slowly being sucking into it like it was a miniature black hole, but instead it was made of pure sunlight, which caused him unimaginable pain. That was when he realized the error of his ways, the pain he felt was the concentration of every horrible thing he ever did in his life.
That is when the massive creature realized that he angered a being that when truly angry would show no mercy. "Would it make you stop if I asked for your forgiveness, and promise never to do this again to your world?" Naruto simply said No.
As the creature died he wished from the bottom of his heart that he had thought of a better way to gain the nourishment he needed. If he had done things peacefully, if he had not been so greedy maybe then he could have continued to exist, a little mental energy, not enough to cause harm, little more than taking the energy of a small nightmare would have been enough, but it was too late now.
Naruto saw the Rasengan banish as the last of the creature seize to exist, he shrank down to his normal size as he went down to his beloved, his children, and the other heroes that no doubt they were looking at him from a telescope.
As Naruto landed Diana was the first to greet him with a hug and a kiss, "Why I'll be darn, the guy who I thought this invasion was too much for ended up taking out the invading leader by himself. Sorry for underestimating you Fox, no hard feeling I hope?"
As Naruto felt Diana's hug end he walked over to the Green Lantern and he took hold of his open hand, and while shaking hands with him he smiled, "You wouldn't be the first or last person to underestimate me, no hard feelings, water under the bridge as people are so fond of saying. Now if you will excuse me, Wonder Woman and I have a lot to explain to Batman and Robin, and I am tired after doing that attack, so I need to catch my breath, and we have a lot of catching up to do."
He then walked towards J'on, "If you don't find a place to live I am sure we can offer you a place to live, Wayne Manor has a lot of rooms that are never used, or are you against my idea Batman?" Bruce smiled and told him he already called Alfred and had a room ready for whenever the Martian Manhunter ever wanted to use.
"While the offer is kind Fox, I rather earn my own way, with my ability to read minds, and shape shift, I think I can make quite a nice living as a Private Detective." He changed into something that reminded him of an old friend, a detective from a few decades in the past.
"Well Sherlock, be sure to give me a discount if I ever need your services." That made everyone around him begin to laugh, and that included J'on who told him he would consider it.
