"And that's why you're trash when it comes to brawling, Takuya." Lync Volan would say as he then took my Bakugan, Darkus Saurus away from me while I could do nothing but watch in shock.
"Yeah, never challenge big bro ever again." His partner says as the two leave laughing while a couple of tears drop from my eyes before I turn and run home, thinking about how I lost again to one of my idols.
This is the fifth time this week I lost to him.
If only...
If only I was stronger, then Saurus wouldn't have been taken away from me.
If only I was better, then Mom and Dad would've never filed a divorce a year ago, forcing me to brawl as an excuse to escape from my more morbid reality.
I'm done with this.
I'm done with feeling like I'm a loser.
I'm done trying to live for others or myself.
It's time for me to fade away.
I arrive home and find a cord that mom mostly used for TV before we got rich.
Attaching it to the lamp on the ceiling of my room, I would then put my neck inside of it and after a few minutes of struggling, I, Takuya Kurosaki, died by hanging at the age of 15.
Cause of death: Suicide.

I mean, sure I've been in here for like, hundreds of years but the silence is pretty nice.

"Ahhh!" I scream in panic at the mysterious voice in my head.
Congratulations, you died!
I stared at the screen in front of me, trying to pinch myself awake to no avail. I could feel the pain, it was very real… And no matter how much I pinched myself otherwise, the screen in front of me didn't go away.
"… But if shitty gamer fanfictions have taught me anything, that peace is about to die a horrible, violent death," I said dully as I stared at the screen in front of me.
I'd been probing it for quite a while, trying to test if it was fake, or touch-activated, or something! But nothing happened… Well, time to do the only logical thing and use my voice.
"Yes, I'm dead, can we get started with this now?" I said to the screen dully.

As you are aware, you have unfortunately passed away. It is a tragedy that you died before your time, but the gods have decided to make it up to you. You will be sent to a random anime world, that you actually like, and given customization options based on the world you go to.
"… Okay, I like this so far," I nodded slowly, this was going rather well. It wouldn't last, but I was looking forward to this now.
Upon a world being selected, you will be given 1000 Credits with which to spend, to create your 'character' within that world. You will lose or gain credits depending on the options that you pick. Please note that once you have chosen all of your options and head to your world, they cannot be changed under any circumstance (except difficulty).

[Progressive] - 100 Credits
Battles progress based on the point of the story you are in. Earlier on in the story, duels are easier. But as the story progresses, duels become harder and harder. Cards will have their anime effects as their more powerful.
[Hard] - 200 Credits
Battles are difficult, much harder than the previous two difficulties, but your reputation and the respect you earn increase faster as a result of winning. The longer and more vicious the duel becomes, the higher the reputation and respect you earn. Cards will have their anime or game effects depending on the area where you battle.
I hummed softly as I read over my options and, I wouldn't lie, I was very tempted to pick easy. It was free, with no consequences to playing on it, and I'd likely be able to curb-stomp every single brawler without a single issue, even Dan Kuso.

I hummed as I read over everything.
"Before I forget, how does BP work in this world?" I asked, since in the Battle Brawler game BP worked by just being real-world currency to an extent.
BP is the universal currency of the world.
When you win a duel, you will receive a chunk of BP.
When you lose a duel, you will lose half of your BP.
BP can be used to buy anything, from Bakugan to clothes, food, or even a house if you have enough.
As long as you have enough BP, you can theoretically buy anything
That explained a lot about why it seemed like people weren't exactly strapped for money in the Bakugan world.
And it also helped explain how Sora and others get by so easily, they must have a lot of BP to use. Also, it explained why Bakugan was so popular!
It was easy money if you were a good enough brawler!
Hell, Pros made enough to easily support their families for a long time!
If I could gain enough BP, then I'd imagine I would be pretty much set for life, Of course, I'll have to win all of my future battles but I'm positive that it'll be easy for someone like me who has meta-knowledge of the world I'm staying in.
"Note to self, duel everyone possible early on for easy money," I muttered to myself.

I looked down at myself as my body was covered in light, and I closed my eyes.
"Well then, I hope this is fun," I smiled lightly as my body was covered fully, and I was sent to a new world.

I grunted as I felt something hard hit the top of my head, looking up tiredly into the annoyed eyes of an adult… Wait what?
"Sleeping in again I see, Takuya," the adult told me, and I quickly realized this was my mother, Yuna Kurosaki as the memories further supplied what I needed to know.
Though? Sleeping in until it was late? … Yeah, that was me.
"Sorry Mom, I won't let it happen again," I say before looking at the Bakugan I had left after Lync took Saurus away from me.
I'm gonna have to get my revenge on that buffoon for what he did to me or well, original Takuya.

Burning Vengeance
Objective: Defeat Lync Volan and Aron Newman
Rewards: 2500 BP, Darkus Saurus, Darkus Atchibee, Ability Card: Healing Darkness and Gate Card: Absolute Zero.
"Alright, let's find and overcook that bastard," I say before grabbing my Gauntlet, my Ability Cards and all of my Bakugan and head out of the house in search of Alpha City since it's close to my house.
I find the building after a few minutes of walking and sign up for the tournament, which will allow the winner to battle Lync and get a powerful Bakugan of the attribute you using.
It looks like my first battle is in five minutes so I'll scout the competition and see who's gonna be a threat to the chances of me winning this.
"Double Ability Activate Dry World plus Grand Geyser." A kid yells out before his Aquos Abis Omega destroys his opponent's Ventus Atchibee.
That was...pretty impressive, not gonna lie but I imagine I can do better.
"Will Takuya Kurosaki and Benjamin Sylvester approach the battlefield?" A voice throughout the intercom asks.
This is it.
This is the beginning of me getting my revenge against Lync for what he did to the original Takuya or well, me.
"On one corner, we have the bane of Aquos Bakugan himself, Benjamin Sylvester!" The MC announces as a man in his twenties with a green gauntlet on his right arm.
This means that he will most likely use Ventus Bakugan so I should be in the clear with my two Darkus Bakugan.
"And now...here's the Underdog, Takuya Kurosaki!" The crowd is silent, mostly because all losses against Lync took place here but this time, it will be different because I now know how Lync battles.
"Here are the rules: You are allowed to use two Bakugan and one Bakugan Trap. When your life points reach zero, you lose." The MC says again, a flash of light is aimed at me and this makes me depressed for a few seconds before it is replaced by anger.
I know I lost five times to a Vexos but at least I always managed to get to the finals, which is more than I can say for the rest of people here.
"Are you all ready? Let the battle BEGIN!" The MC announces as the crowd erupts into cheers and I put my purple gauntlet on my left arm, ready for battle.
My opponent and I each put an ability card into the Gauntlet's tray, prepared for battle.
"Gauntlet power strike." We both yell out as I take out a Gate Card and throw it, letting it hit the ground as a purple square spreads itself throughout the field.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Let's go Darkus Anchrosaur and Haos Hammersaur." I say, letting my two dinosaur-like Bakugan come out to play.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Rise, Ventus Fly Beetle and Ventus Atmos!" Ben says as his two Bakugan are in the air but still on the battlefield.
"Let's get this party started. Double Ability Activate: Magnalious plus Power Erasure." I say with a cocky smile on because now, he won't be able to use any abilities cards since they're nullified, which should give me a quick victory.
"Hammersaur Anchorsaur Power Level: 600g-950g." The gauntlet reads out.
"Well ladies and gentlemen, it looks like Takuya has found a way to increase the power of his Bakugan just when the match started and nullify Ben's ability cards! Will victory be in Takuya's reach?!" The MC says in awe as the crowd begins to applaud and cheer for me which is a little bit concerning for me but that doesn't matter.
All I need to do is make sure that Lync pays for taking Saurus away from me.
"Damn it, I can't do anything," Ben says with anger in his voice.
"Well, it would appear that this match is in my favour, Ben. I applaud you for making it this far but this is the end," I say before taking two ability cards from my deck knowing that it's time to finish this.
Lync Volan, you will be my last opponent.
"You were just a mere ant trying to fight a god and now, you will face divine retribution. Hammersaur, let's wrap this up. Double Ability Activate Crush Hurricane plus Mirror Ghost." Hammersaur then finishes off Atmos and Fly Beetle like a boss as I'm congratulated for my victory.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the Underdog, Takuya Kurosaki will go against the Ventus Brawler, Jake Mcgregor! Who will be the one to take down the two remaining Brawlers of the Bakugan Tournament?! All of this will be answered in the upcoming match that will start in an hour!" The MC says while I give Lync a death stare which's enough to make him sweat.
It serves you right, wind boy.
The crowd cheers for my victory since I lost to that pink-haired windmill bastard.
I leave the stadium for now since my next match will start in an hour, which should give me the chance to get some new and much stronger Bakugan like a Dragonoid.
I go to the shop feature on the Game and take a look at all of the Bakugans especially the Guardians Bakugans since I want something that can set me up for life when I defeat Lync.

Looking over my BP, I see that I have about 10,000 BP from the original Takuya's many battles against people in the tournament so I can buy the Bakugan I want without much fear of losing too much money.
I buy Mock Dragonoid, Fire Scorpion and Reaper, hoping it's enough to win the second round.
Alright, let's do this.
I walk back to the tournament knowing that my battle is in five minutes then I see Jake McGregor defeating a Pyrus Brawler with ease, still holding a cocky smile on his face.
I'm gonna wipe that smirk off your face like it was Monday, pal.
I arrive at the stadium after watching Jake's victory so that means I have to win at all cost.
"Will Takuya and Jake stand at the battlefield?" The MC says as we arrive at the battlefield waiting for the battle.
"On one corner, we have the Subterra Brawler, Jake Mcgregor!" The MC says as Jake waves his left hand at his fans.
"On the other side of the corner, the Underdog himself, Takuya Kurosaki!" The MC says as I thrust my fist into the sky with people cheering me ever since my first victory against Ben in the first round.
I always win each round and advance into the finals so now I have a chance against him.
"This will be the same rules as the first match. Are you two ready? Let the Battle BEGIN!" The MC says as we put our ability cards into our gauntlets's tray, ready for battle.
"Gauntlet power strike!" We both yell as Jake takes out a Gate Card, letting it hit the ground as an orange square spreads the battlefield.
"Bakugan Brawl!" Bakugan Stand!" Go Subterra Mantis and Subterra Griffon Bakugan Trap! Go Subterra Baliton!" Jake shouts as his two Bakugans stand along with his Bakugan Trap that is on the ground.
"Bakugan Brawl!" Bakugan Stand!" Let's do this!" Pyrus Mock Dragonoid and Darkus Reaper!" Bakugan Trap, Pyrus Fire Scorpion!" I say as my Bakugans are ready for battle on the ground.
Let's beat this guy so I can advance to the next round.
"Let's go Reaper! Triple Ability Activate! Dimension Four, Shade Abiltiy and Dual Dimension!" I say as Reaper nullifies my opponent's Ability Cards and Gate Card which gives me an easy win.
"Reaper Power Level 600-900Gs" The gauntlet reads out.
"I don't think so! The gate Card is open! Subterra Reactor!" Jake says as he tries to activate the Gate Card but to no avail.
I start to laugh like a maniac at his failing attempt to activate the Gate Card.
Jake becomes angry as to why he can't activate the Gate Card.
"What did you do?!" Jake demands angrily.
"Dimension Four, Dual Dimension and Shade Ability nullify all of your Ability Cards, Gate Card and any cards in the field in exchange for Reaper's power level to increase more," I explain to Jake who clenches his fists in anger.
"Reaper Power Level: 800-1000Gs". The gauntlet reads out.
"Whatever! Don't think you won just yet!" Jake says angrily while I do my best to contain my anger.
We'll see if you can defeat me, sandy
All I can see is Lync and Aaron's arrogant faces, which angers me even more than usual.
I need to crush that moron because I can sense that I'm gonna do something stupid.
As for Jake, he tries to activate his two Ability Cards but fails miserably.
"No, damn it!" Jake says with frustration in his voice.
Good, now let's end this.
"Now then let's end this. Mock Dragonoid, Scorpion and Reaper. Show him no mercy." I say coldly as I pick three cards from my left pocket.
"Wait a second, what are those cards for? Wait, no don't tell me that you'll-" Jake says with fear as he starts to panic.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Takuya has three Ability Cards but what for? Let's find out!" The MC says as he points his finger at me but I don't care at all.
I need to win this battle no matter the cost.
"Mock Dragonoid, Scorpion and Reaper! Let's wrap this up! Triple Fusion Ability Activate! Meteor Rush, Blaze Striker and Reaping Chaos!" Mock Dragonoid, Scorpion and Reaper then finish Mantis, Gryffon and Batilon off pretty easily.
Jake stands in shock and disbelief as he falls to his knees then takes his Bakugans and leaves the stadium.
"Ladies and gentlemen! The Underdog, Takuya Kurosaki will advance into the third round and he will face Haos Brawler, Connot Kent! The two Brawlers will face off in the next match that will start in an hour!" The MC says as I leave to prepare for my next match that should start in a few minutes.
Alright, all I need to do is to defeat Connor and then, my revenge can truly begin.
I check my watch and realize that the match will begin in 40 minutes.
Game, how many BP do I have?

I use my remaining BP to buy a sandwich, a KitKat and an orange juice so I can keep my head in the game.
Who doesn't like to eat before a great match, am I right?
After a few minutes of eating and drinking, I leave the area to enter the stadium only to see it's bright and sparky.
I'm going to guess this is the Haos battlefield which I already knew because originally Takuya or, I always won the third match against Haos Brawlers before losing to Lync.
Well today, everything.
I arrive at the stadium and take a look at a boy with brown hair and green eyes whose name is Connor Kent.
"Will the two Brawlers stand at the battlefield?" The MC says as we both stand on our respective corners.
"On one corner, we have the Haos Brawler, Connor Kent!" The Mc says as Connor thrusts his fist in the sky and roars which his fans cheer for him.
"On the other side of the corner, we have the Underdog, Takuya Kurosaki!" The Mc says as I thrust my fist in the sky which the fans applaud and cheer for me.
"This match will determine who will earn the right to battle Lync Volan! Let the Battle BEGIN!" The MC says as we put our gauntlets' tray, ready for battle.
"Gauntlet, power strike!" We both say as I take out a Gate Card, letting it hit the ground, A purple square spreads the battlefield.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Let's win this, Pyrus Mock Dragonoid! Bakugan Trap, Fire Scorpion!" I say as my Bakugans are ready for battle.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Let's go, Haos Robotallion!" Connor says as his Bakugans stand on the ground.
Let's win this match at all costs.
"Mock Dragonoid, let's end this quickly. Ability Activate! Burst Dragon!" I order as my Dragonoid fires off a crimson-orange fireball at Connor's Robotallion.
"Mock Dragonoid Power Level: 500- 750Gs".The gauntlet reads out.
Mock Dragonoid's Burst Dragon is about to hit Robotallion but somehow, Robotallion deflects it like was nothing to him.
"No way! He deflected it?!" I say with a hint of confusion and disbelief.
"Okay! Gate Card, Haos Reactor!" Connor says as the Gate Card begins to amplify his Bakugans's power level.
Ooh, that little...
"Haos Robotallion Power Level: 650g-850g" His gauntlet read out as he sighed a breath of relief.
Mock Dragonoid throws his head back and unleashes a powerful roar, wanting to destroy his enemies.
Well, let's give him what he wants, hmm?
"Triple Ability Activate! Burst Dragon plus Cross Tornado and Fusion Ability Activate, Meteor Rush!" I shout, thrusting my gauntlet into the sky like an anime protagonist.
It's kind of endearing, not gonna lie.
Being dramatic like this for no reason is so much fun because not only does he know he's gonna lose but he's also going to get destroyed by pure cringe.
Mock Dragonoid covers himself in fire and rams himself into Robotallion, who crashes into a wall and goes back into ball form.
"Ladies and gentlemen! The Underdog, Takuya Kurosaki will face Lync Volan in the final round and the match will start tomorrow!" The MC says as the fans applaud me for my latest victory.
Connor takes his Bakugan and leaves the stadium as I do the same to prepare for tomorrow.
I arrive home then head straight to my room and take a look at the shop since I want to get another Bakugan before my battle tomorrow.

This story is heavily inspired by Ezras Hargrave's story, Dealt a New Hand as I liked the story to make something similar to this except it's well, Bakugan instead of Yu-Gi-Oh.
