So Borden Willis has taken on, in my mind some aspects of what the author Willaim Kotzwinkle said inspired him to right his animal rights novel Doctor Rat something about 'hearing the cries of the animals one night' or something like that...I think he had his heart in the right place but if you've ever read the novel (And I don't recommend you do that) his solution is...Zoological Marxism...We'll just all live in peace and harmony not something that can actually be applied

"Like I said..." Said Borden "...I don't remember what I put into that formula, as I was doing it my vision was like...Pouring in sunshine and rainbows I have no idea what I was actually adding..."

Scarecrow's hand slided down his face "That is so unprofessional for a scientist! It makes me sick just hearing it!"

"You and me both Professor Crane..." Donatello said with his arms folded "...And I can't believe I'm in fill agreement with a supervillain!"

Obviously not liking the insults, Borden tried to regain control of his story "...So anyway I had this giant batch of the Athena Mixture..I told them I wanted pregant female animals or eggs as many as could be found!"

"Yeah about that..." Don said "...Why were you experimenting on an otter? I thought river otters were a protected species..."

"Laws only stop honest people." Borden said quietly "Crooks do whatever they can get away with...You'd be amazed, if it weren't for the fact the Chinese government would have your head on a platter we'd be experimenting on pandas!"

"Why?" Riddler felt the need to ask

"Pandas can survive almost entirly on bamboo." Borden said "Scientists could study that to find a way to give astrnoughts the ability to survive in space on only one source of food!"

"The pandas dependence on bamboo is what is leading to their extinction!" Riddler said folding his arms "The only reason the species still exists is because the human race has put them on life support!"

Casey was feeling very out of place with all this science talk...He yawned and stretched and not seeing in the darkened bunker he knocked over a container and several smooth, polished stones each with a strange symbol carved into them fell onto the floor.

"Oops!" Casey said "Sorry! What are these things?" As he moved to pick them up

Borden's face brightened a little "Runes." He said "Actual Viking Runes from when the Vikings came to North America, an old and dear friend gave them to me as a gift..."

Don and Leo were a little suspicious that this man had actual authentic Viking Runes...But as the Turtles went to inspect them...Leo felt intense magical aura coming off them!

"All right..." Jonathan said as he felt the need to continue the story "You made your Athena Mixture, you pumped it full of young animals of various species...Then what."

"I wanted as many different species as possible..." Borden said as he quietly stared off into space "I was the one who told them to get pregnant female animals and eggs from the wild, even get them from zoos if necessary! I was dedicated to my vision of seeing all the beautiful creatures of this planet free and able to defend themselves from man...But once the children were either born or hatched...I'm not good with children...They tend to make me nervous...So I let my new staff do the actual raising of the Mutant Children while I watched from a distance, only occasionaly walking through the nursrey to quietly observe the progress..."

Something had already been sparked in the both Jonathan and Edward's minds...Tramatic memories of being neglected by their parents...

But that brings me to the next thing...Borden said "...Those two finacial consultants...Ben Taylor and Florence Jablonski...The reason they approached me in the first place was they took me for just a loony! They didn't expect my experiments to actually work...They...They wanted a tax-write off...And the further along in years as the Mutant children grew...I could see them become more alarmed especially Florence...So they slowly began to take control away from me...The first step was letting the Goverment house those demonic bear cubs in the lab with the Athena Mixture children! Finally they completely ousted me from my own lab and began to change things...I think they are trying to save their hides by trying to market the Mutant Children as potential super soldiers...Or simply as new lab animals as they are closer to humans..."

Everyone was pretty disgusted with what they just heard, but Jonathan and Edward prctically felt their blood boiling too many memories of their own parents came flooding back to them...

I'll leave the epic chewing out for next chapter...But so we finally get to know the names of the true villains of this story, weather we actually see them if another story...Real different this time the villains being 'Yuppie' white collar criminals this time the story is showing the 'banality of evil'
