I'm back! With the writers strike going on, I don't think any of us know how long it's going to last, so... This is going to tie into S5 Finale, slightly divergent and based off of the NCIS Episode "Swan Song." That being said, let's jump up in it.

"Dammit!" Tim punched the wall in front of him, narrowly avoiding the suspect in his way. "Everyone out! She's not here!"

The strike team began filing out when Tim called out, "Nolan! Watch the door."

The suspect was laughing, not even bothering to contain his glee. Tim got so close that his body-cam was only recording a black spot, and dropped his voice so low that only he and his suspect could hear the next words out of his mouth.

"You're gonna tell me where she is, or I'm putting a bullet in your fucking head."

Thirty-six hours earlier

The hotel was nice, but Lucy was starting to go stir-crazy being cooped up all day and night. She stole a glance at her phone.

4:03AM

Sighing with discontent, Lucy put her phone back down and turned on the TV, hoping to find something to help her sleep. After a few minutes, she settled on Friends and was laughing hysterically within a few minutes. Then her text notification went off.

Tim: "Go to bed."
Lucy: "How'd you know I was awake?"
Tim: "I heard the theme song. You're the only person I know that laughs like that at
Friends."
Lucy: "You love
Friends too."
Tim: "Not at 4am. Which episode is on anyway?"
Lucy: "
The One Where Ross Finds Out."
Tim: "You want some company? I can't sleep either."
Lucy: "Fine. But NO NAKED TIME!"
Tim: "That's fine. The walls are too thin anyway. We'd probably wake someone up." *Wink emoji
Lucy: "You're impossible. The door's unlocked for you."

12pm

A frantic knock woke both Tim and Lucy out of a deep slumber. They both looked at each other, worried that another member of their team had been hurt. Lucy grabbed her weapon from the bedside table while Tim grabbed a lamp. Lucy checked the peephole and relaxed.

"It's Grey," she said. Opening the door ever so slightly, she said, "Morning, Sir. What's up?"

"Have you seen Bradford? He isn't in his room and nobody's seen him since last night."

"He's in here with me," Lucy replied, swinging her door open. "He's been here since 4."

"Morning, Sir," Tim said.

Grey pinched the bridge of his nose and walked away muttering, "I'm getting too old for this shit."

Lucy closed her door and turned back to Tim. "Is it me, or did Grey seem more worried than he let on?"

"Something's up," Tim agreed. "We should probably go check on Thorsen and Juarez."

"That's a good idea. Nobody's heard anything for-"

Tim's phone started ringing before Lucy finished her sentence. It was Detective Harper. Tim answered, "Hey Harper. What's up? Whoa. Slow down. WHAT?! When? Goddamn it. Yeah, on the way." He dropped the call and turned to Lucy, looking somber.

"What's going on, Tim?"

"It's Thorsen. He didn't make it. Bastards killed a cop."

Lucy audibly gasped. "Was anyone with him?"

Tim nodded. "Juarez was." He opened his arms and Lucy, feeling incredibly numb, immediately crashed into Tim, sobbing.
