Winter (P.O.V)
I sighed as the sun hit my skin it was a rare sunny day in Forks. Which meant that Jasper and the family couldn't come to school without being discovered. I was walking towards the picnic table Bella sat at with her friend Jessica that said something that caught my attention.
"He's not here". Jessica said with her eyes close catching some sun as Bella looked at her confused but with interest. "Whenever the weather is nice the Cullen's usually disappear". Jessica said as I took a seat at the end of the table without them noticing my presence.
"So what do they just ditch". Bella asked confused looking at Jessica for answers.
"No, Dr and Mrs Cullen yank them out for camping, hiking and stuff. Tried that out on my parents not even close". Jessica said closing her eyes enjoying the heat of the sun.
"Guys". Angela said coming out of nowhere sitting between me and Bella who had yet to notice my presents until now. "I'm going to the prom with Eric. I just asked him and took control". Angela said with a bright smile on her face.
Angela was slowly becoming a good friend of mine and I was happy for her. We talked in classes and even had a project together outside of school yesterday. I know she likes Eric but I feel that she can do better he's a good guy but they're total opposites.
"I told you that would happen". Bella said as Angela awkwardly wrapped her and a hug.
"Remember Angie confidence is key". I said smiling lately bumping her shoulder. To which cost Jessica to jump a bit as she hadn't noticed my presents.
"Are you sure you two have to go out of town Angela said looking between me and Bella as I had a confused expression on my face.
"Yeah it's a family thing". Bella said awkwardly.
"What family thing Bella". I asked wanting to know the lie Bella told them.
"You know". Bella said with a plead in her eyes to drop it.
"No I don't know as Jasper and I are going to prom". I said looking at if she was crazy I wouldn't be missing prom for her.
"We should go shopping in Port Angeles before all good dresses get cleaned out". Jessica said bring the conversation back to her taking away the attention from Bella.
"Port Angeles, Do you mind if I come?". Bella asked curiously as I looked at her curiously wondering what was going through her mind.
"Yea I'm gonna need you both your opinion". Angela said as we got up to go back to class. I haven't planned on going prom dress shopping just yet but shrug my shoulders decided to tagalong.
I looked at dresses while Bella watched Angela and Jessica model their prom dress choices. I looked through the racks not many dresses call my interest until I got to the third aisle of the small store.
I immediately liked it and picked it up as it was in my size I was going to go try it on until my phone went off. I dug it out of my back pocket to see a text message from Alice.
Alice: Don't even thinking about it!!!
I looked at the message in confusion before putting the dress back and begin typing my response.
Me: About What???
Alice: The blue dress!!!
I looked up from my phone glancing at the blue dress before looking back down at the phone. I was having mixed emotions as Jasper had told me a bit about his siblings ability. Alice saw my future as she knew the color dress I was going to try it on was a bit disturbing and I hope she wasn't looking into my future often.
Alice: I've already ordered the dress we would have looked at I want to keep it a surprise your going to love it.
Me: Alice I really appreciate it but please don't make a habit of looking into my future.
Alice: "Sigh" I promise Winter I won't.
I sighed as I was going to have to take Alice's word for it. I know sometimes she can't control her vision so I couldn't hold it against her but I didn't want decisions made for me.
Me: Alright. So what color is the dress??
Alice: I meant it when I said it was going to be a surprise. The dress, accessories and shoes will be here in a few day.
I rolled my eyes as we sent each other a few more texts before I decided to go back to the other girls. There was just no point in looking at prom dresses since Alice already ordered mine. I was just going to have to trust her and hold that I actually did love the dress since this was going to be a major milestone in my life.
I wasn't like other girls when it came to prom but I did want everything to be nice since it would be a major event Jasper and I will be attending together for the first time. As any other girl I hope that night would be special after prom I really wanted to take our relationship to the next level.
I exited the bookstore with Bella as I didn't need to look for prom dress and that had been the last place she wanted to be. I decided to go along to the local Port Angeles bookstore. The bookstore was one that held many different books on legends which peaked my curiosity as to what Bella was looking for a particular.
She bought a few books and put them immediately into her bag before I could look at the titles. It did worry me a bit since the accident with her attitude I still remember the way she narrowed her eyes at Jasper when he had come to the house the day he told me what he was.
I truly wasn't liking the way she was getting closer to their secret. I know she is going to eventually find out due to sticking her nose in where it doesn't belong. It was getting late I immediately dug into my bag and took out the pepper spray.
I always carried it around even when I'm with someone or alone. I was getting a bad feeling the past few minutes as we walked together. Bella stopped in her tracks as I noticed two guys walking towards us.
The bad feelings getting a bit stronger we immediately turned around walking in the direction we had come from. I dug into my pocket taking out my phone glancing down I pressed my speed dial which would go straight to Jasper.
I put the phone to my ear as I held my pepper spray tightly. "Darling, Edward and I are on our way". Jasper said his southern accent was deeper.
"How did you know". I whispered trying to calm my anxiety.
"Alice said she sorry she couldn't help it she was pulled into a vision that you were in danger". Jasper said quickly which made me sigh a bit in relief as I continue to walk faster.
"Where are you two going?". A unknown male voice asked. I felt my heart beating faster as me and Bella can face-to-face with two more guys that try to box us.
"Don't touch us". I said angrily as I had put my phone in my pocket but on speaker. I could hear Jasper growling over the phone. I immediately pepper sprayed the one that held my wrist he fell to the ground howling in pain.
I immediately brought the pepper spray back up ready to spray again when car tires screech caused the guys to move back. I sighed in relief as it only took a few moments for Jasper to be at my side holding me.
"Are you alright snowflake?". Jasper ass as I looked up at him his eyes were dark. I could see the anger swimming in his eyes.
"No I'm not". I said never hiding how I feel from Jasper.
"Get in the car". Jasper said letting go of me standing in front of me as I followed his instructions and got into the backseat with Bella sitting in the front.
I held the pepper spray close to me needing a type of protection not feeling completely safe. My heart is still beating fast that it made my ears ring. I was a bit startled when I felt a cold hand bring me back to reality as a caress my cheek.
Tears immediately filled my eyes as my mind begin to wander thinking what could have happened had Alice not had her vision. Jasper immediately wrapped me in his arms as I began to sob into his chest still shaking as he ran his fingers through my white hair.
Jasper (P.O.V)
Winter's breath slowly even out as she fell asleep on my chest. It took a lot within me not to kill the humans that attempted to harm my mate. The major was growling within my mind he was out for blood.
It was difficult to put the Major in but with Winter in my arms he slowly calmed down but was very angry. I had been at home when Alice was pulled into a vision that Winter was in danger and she was with Bella.
Alice had informed me that for some reason Edward was following Bella around. I immediately called him telling what was going on and immediately ran out of the house at full speed towards Port Angeles.
It was going to be a while before I was going to be able to calm down and even allow winter out of my sight. I will not dictate her life but I will be at her side until I know she's not going to be in danger but unfortunately this world is full of dangers especially with vampires and humans the enjoy seeing the pain of others.
Once Edward pulled up to a small café I got out with Winter in my arms and begin walking away ignoring Bella's calls. Once I was a safe distance I took off at a slow speed heading towards the house. I had as Alice to inform Chiefs Swan she would be having a sleepover with Winter and Rosalie at the house.
As I ran I looked down at my beautiful mate holding her closely to my chest not wanting her out of my arms anytime soon.
