Winter (P.O.V)
I groaned as I stretched my sore muscles. I just stayed lying there next to Jasper as so much happen since the night before. Jasper had taken me back to his house where I slept for a couple of hours before I had finally woke up.
I still can't believe Edward told Bella about being able to read minds only peeking her curiosity even further. She's been honestly quiet since I got back home last night even though that wasn't the original plan. When Carlisle had returned home to tell us how Waylon Forge was found dead.
Waylon had been my dad's friend for over 30 years and I knew he would need me as Bella has the emotional capacity of a teaspoon. Begrudgingly Jasper took me home but said he would be around after what happened last night and more importantly with vampires running around that weren't like his family.
"Snowflake we need to get ready for school". Jasper said as I was wrapped in his arms the whole night.
"I don't want to". I muttered snuggling deeper into Jasper chest which caused him to chuckle a bit.
"I know snowflake but we don't have much of a choice you are the chief of police's princess". Jasper said kissing the crown off my head.
"Your a spoilsport". I said pouting as I pulled away to sit up.
"I want nothing more than to stay in bed with you darling but I have to stay on your dad's good side". Jasper said caressing my cheek as he stood up from the bed.
"I know it just can't wait for this school you to be over and enjoy the summer with you". I said Smiling as I saw the pure love in his eyes he stayed down at me.
"This summer will be ours. Now I have to head back to the house to change and pick up the car I'll be back to pick you up in a bit". Jasper said before pecking me on the lips. I'm glad I had woken up a bit early and was able to brush my teeth before coming back to bed.
I honestly wouldn't have been able to kiss him even if I wanted to afraid with his vampire senses. "I love you". I said as we pulled away.
"I love you too". Jasper said before kissing the top of my head and leaving my room through the window a new habit with me knowing the secret now.
I got up from my bed and close the window shut. I honestly don't know what is lurking out there after yesterday and I prefer to be on the safe side if Jasper is an around. I sighed as I stripped out of my clothes and put on a random outfit from my closet.
Jasper pulled into the parking lot quietly as I hadn't really said much throughout the ride. It had been an awkward morning with Bella in the house and she kept giving me suspicious looks.
"Winter are you okay?". Jasper saying my name startled me as I saw his eyes held concern.
"No I think Bella know what your family is". I said which made Jasper stiffen in his spot.
"How?". Jasper asked quietly.
"I don't know Jaz, Yesterday she picked up a couple of books on myths or probably whatever Edward told her last night made her more suspicious to do research". I said rubbing my hand over my face in frustration.
"Edward thinks she is his mate". Jasper said which made me look at him wide-eyed.
"And I think your Brother has finally lost his mind. From what you told me I think Bella caught his interest since he's unable to read her thoughts. Edward honestly unable to be around her without looking like he wants to attack her". I said as I notice Edward looking at the car. I stared straight at him not caring if he heard me.
I stayed quiet for a while until I saw Bella walking past the car staring directly at Edward. She passed him walking up the hill that led into the forest. Edward looked at me before following her and they both took off into the woods.
"Their relationship will fuck everything up". I said completely pissed off as I grabbing my bag and got out of the car. For the rest of the day I was in a bad mood waiting to get home to confront Bella.
