3rd Person (P.O.V)
Edward walked through the rainy streets of Seattle. He had been walking around for a few hours trying to clear his head at what he could had done to his sister.
Edward was slowly beginning to wonder had everything his family been saying true. He could admit the last 12 hours he hadn't been around Bella he was thinking more clearly than he had recently.
He didn't realize he wasn't paying attention until his arms instinctively wrapped around the person's waist. His dark eyes as he hadn't fed in days look into the sky blue ones.
In that moment his thought of Isabella were nonexistence as he stared into the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen.
"Oh my god I'm so sorry I should have been paying attention to where I was going. It's just when it rains inspiration hits me from melodies from my violin. I...". The unknown girl rambled stopping herself with her eyes wide and a blush crossing her cheeks.
"It's alright, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going". Edward said not realizing his arms were still wrapped around her waist.
"Thank you for catching me". The unknown girl said shyly smiling. Edward quickly released his arms from around her, taking a few steps back much to his dismay.
"I'm glad I was able to help. My name is Edward Cullen". Edward said as he stuck out his hand.
"I'm Aurora Lancaster". Aurora said moving her violin to her opposite hand. Her small hand perfectly fit into his neither one letting go. "Can I get you a cup of coffee as an apology?". Aurora asked for some unknown reason she didn't want to walk away.
"That would be great". Edward said giving her a dazzling smile as her warm hand were still in his cold one.
Aurora realizing her hand were still in his, a blush once again appearing on her cheeks as she slowly withdrew her hand smiling up at him.
Edward and Aurora walked to a small coffee shop near her university campus. That two walked in with Aurora lightly shivering from the cold and rain. They walked to the counter ordering a coffee and hot chocolate.
Aurora dug in her bag to take out her card only to see Edward had already paid for their drinks. "I invited you for coffee, I was supposed to pay". Aurora said raising her brow slightly.
"I know but I felt bad for nearly knock you over, I just went to apologize". Edward said rubbing the back of his neck as Aurora rolled her eyes.
"Your lucky your hot, I'll let it go this time". Aurora said grabbing her hot chocolate, leaving a slightly stunned Edward behind.
Since the moment they bumped into each other he felt the sparks. He had not been able to read her mind until she made eye contact. Once she wasn't looking at him anymore it went silent. he honestly felt at peace.
Just from the past half an hour he spent around Aurora was completely different from being around Bella. He didn't feel as if he had to be cautious in that moment his eyes widen as he looked after Aurora his mate.
"Are you going to join me?". Aurora called out snapping Edward out of it. He grabbed his cup of coffee, still stunned at his realization. All of the guilt of what he had done recently coming back. "Are you alright?". Aurora asked as she saw Edward had a sadness in his eyes.
"Yes I'm alright, just thinking of how I'm going to apologize to my sister". Edward said as his mother, the last part, his eyes landed on Aurora's violin. He quickly change the subject. "How long have you been playing?". Edward asked Aurora, she wasn't at all bothered with the change of subject as a smile spread across her face.
"I've been playing since I was almost 4 my neighbors were having yard sale, and for some unknown reason my mom said I was immediately drawn to a violin. Apparently I continue to ask about the instrument until she finally got me a miniature one. After a few lessons it became second nature to me". Aurora said as she smiled at the memory of her mom who had unfortunately passed away when she was just seven.
"I know what you mean when you say an instrument become second nature. I feel the same way anytime my fingers are running across the keys of my piano". Edward smile slightly as he's remembered how he dreamed of being a composer in his human years.
"It's nice to finally meet someone who has passionate for their music as much as I do". Aurora thought as she's had a hard time connecting with her fellow classmates. She's always been an awkward person and not many understand her style of thinking.
Edward smiled at what his mate had thought. He also heard light melodies playing in her head. Time freeze throughout their conversations that they hadn't notice they have been talking for over three hours.
In those three hours Edward felt completely at peace. He learned his beautiful mate attended the University of Seattle for music, and wanted to be a composer. He was saddened when she had to go as she had to attend her next class, but was happy when he suggested they exchange numbers.
Once outside the café and a brief goodbye, Edward watched his mate walk away. Taking out his phone he quickly looked up a realtor deciding he might be spending more time in Seattle for the foreseeable future.
He thought it might be for the best as his mind was more clear than it had been recently, and he knew he was being a coward but at the moment he couldn't face his family or little sister after what he had done.
