3rd Person (P.O.V)
It has been a long week for Winter with a lot of rumors and gossiping about what happened to Bella. She's received a lot of pity look from some of the neighbors.
After returning home from her stay at the Cullens she almost pulled out of even going to prom not liking the looks she was receiving but Jasper convinced her to go if only for an hour.
Rosalie and Alice both worked on her hair and make up together. Her snow white hair picked up in a elegant lower bun strands of hair framing her face.
Icy blue eyes pop with the green and silver eyeshadow covering her eyelid and eyelashes coated in mascara. Her lips painted a metallic green that would go with her dress.
Around her neck was no longer her usual Swan necklace. It was traded out for a necklace with a single emerald stone. On her ears hung a pair of tear shaped three layer diamond earrings. The outer layer held silver diamonds followed by the middle layer in black diamonds, finally on each earring was a emerald in the middle of the teardrop and one above it.
Finally Rosalie zipped up her green dress, it hugged her body and up her thigh, the dress with strapless with a long train behind it. Her heels were black the soles of the feet was green and finally the silver heel had a snake going around it with emerald eyes.
"Well has my brother been human he would have had a baby in you by the end of the night or dropped dead". Rosalie said smirking at Winter as she held a box in her hand.
"Rose!!". Winter squeaked out heat rising to her cheek.
"It's the true". Rosalie said shrugging her shoulders. "Now here is the last accessory they will complete the outfit". She said opening the box causing Winter's eyes to widen at what lead in the box.
"Is that...". Winter started but her self off.
"Yea it's the family crest something you should've had a long time ago but it's better late than never". Rosalie said taking out the bracelet from the box.
She helped Winter put on the bracelet, her hands perfectly manicured courtesy of Alice who dragged her to a nail salon, her nails were done in green and silver with a snake design on the thumb.
"Now it's more official your apart of the family". Alice squealed pulling her sister into a hug.
"Thanks for everything both of you, your are the best sisters I could have asked for". Winter said pulling both girls into a hug. Deep down her heart hurt a bit for Bella wishing they could have been closer. She shook her head pushing those thoughts away.
"Winter, Jasper's here". Charlie called out from the bottom of the stairs causing the girls to separate.
"Give us a minute before you come down. We need to get a few good shots of the couple of the hour". Alice said smiling as she grabbed her make up bag she had brought over.
"Alright Alice". Winter said not arguing with the smaller girl she knew this would be her only prom as a human.
"Have fun but not too much fun us vampire have a tendency to break beds when things get too intense". Rosalie said smirking as she walked out the door followed by Alice.
Winter stayed quiet counting to 10 trying to control the blush that threatened to spread across her face as she knew very well Jasper heard that comment. After taking a deep breath and waiting an extra minute she walked out the door towards the stairs.
Jasper stood waiting for his mate in a black suit and silver tie. He was mesmerized as Winter descended the stairs in her beautiful green dress.
"You look beautiful Darling". Jasper said taking her hand in his.
"You look handsome as always". Winter said smiling.
"Alright you two it's picture time". Alice said bouncing around as they were surrounded by her dad and the rest of the Cullens minus Edward, who still wasn't ready to come home.
The couple sighed as they know their sister was a perfectionist, she started putting them in a position where Jaspert towered over winter, his hand wrapped around her waist her back against his chest.
Jasper was happy to have his mate in his arms after what happened the last few months it was finally time to move forward and make Winter happy.
Jasper lead Winter through the crowd of students. She waved that the few friends she's made throughout her semester at Forks high school, which weren't many do to spending majority of her time with his family.
The mated couple walked out of the gymnasium to a gazebo where a few other people were dancing. A slow dancing song playing in the background. Under the gazebo the two faced each other, Jasper's had one hand on her lower back and Winter's hand was on his shoulder. There other hand claps together they slowly moved around the dance floor.
"I can't believe junior year is already over we only have a year left before graduation". Winter said a few minutes into their dance.
"Yes graduation will be there before we know it followed by college, a few years on the workforce before having to repeat it again". Jasper said, deep down he missed his human life. Before Winter his life was always on repeat, she made his vampire life more tolerable as he wasn't alone anymore.
"You miss being human don't you". Winter said looking into his eyes.
"Sometimes before you everything always felt on repeat but meeting you the happiness I never had being a vampire was worth it. I would've missed out on a beautiful mate and life". Jasper said before kissing her forehead.
"I love you Jaz". Winter said caressing his cheek.
"And I you darling". Jasper said before lightly kissing her lips. "Now what are you plans for this summer?". Jasper asked throwing her for a loop with the change of subject.
"Don't know maybe spend some time with my dad and maybe go see my mom but other than that I'm not sure". Winter said confused her nose crunching up in thought.
"How would you like to spend a week in Vancouver with me?". Jasper asked smiling as he looked at her surprised expression.
"Who would be going?". Winter asked curiously.
"Just us darling, Carlisle owns a suite in a small resort. I know you've been wanting to learn how to ski for a while and this would be a good opportunity. We would be going for a week". Jasper said making Winter eyes light up.
"Just tell me when my bags will be packed within the hour, especially if Alice and Rose help". Winter said excitingly.
"Well since I take it as a yes, all there is left is to get permission from your dad, which I doubt it will be a problem we would be leaving at the end of the week". Jasper said before his face was pulled down for heated kiss.
Winter smiled into the kiss, her shoulder is no longer holding the weight they held prior. She was slowly getting back to her old mood and knew some time away from town would do her some good and she couldn't wait to be alone with her mate.
