Hey, Legends. It's been a while.

This page is dedicated to informing both longtime fans of the original work "My World, But Not Mine," and incoming new readers. You can skip this page and read the first new chapter, and I would appreciate it if you had taken the time to read this regardless.

It's been nearly 7 months since I decided to put this story on an indefinite hiatus, and about a year since I decided to completely stop writing. Though most people wished me well when I announced my permanent leave from the writer's scene, I still continued to receive messages from Discord, email, and my inbox alike containing one main question.

Would I ever continue, and thus finish "My World, But Not Mine?"

Such an easy question that I found myself unable to answer no matter how hard I tried.

Though I had the entirety of the "Last Olympian" segment set up, I couldn't move past one simple scene writing out Bianca's ability discovery, and that basically destroyed the rest of my motivation to continue. Adding to the continuous reminder that the beginning of my story was inconsistently and poorly written/planned, I kept feeling like something wasn't right. And so, when I finally made the decision to finish this piece I started back in 2020, I chose to do it through a complete rewrite.

Earlier readers know this, which is that the beginning is cluttered and seems hastily written. Which is right, cause I had only begun writing at that time. Since then, I've met several other far more experienced authors, all of whom I've taken inspiration from and therefore, certain later published chapters have showcased improvement. But the beginning was always terrible, and admittedly, difficult to read and hold onto.

So here it is. I'm rewriting the story, from the first chapter of "The Titan's Curse," to the last page of "The Last Olympian." The story won't be exactly the same, with a few main character switches and new backstories, but that's the purpose of an alternate universe, no?

This story will still be a Perzoe/Pertemis story, however, both couple-specific segments will take much longer to develop, as relationships usually do. Pertemis is focused first, rather than Perzoe.

Certain canon characters have been replaced or left out in the story. You have been reminded.

This story is written with ability/power leveling and development, scaling with age and experience. I love writing and seeing superhuman abilities in stories and movies, hence why I incorporate them into a story like this.

I'll include an additional segment on this page discussing the three main words used when describing a character's power level in this story when the explanation pops up in the story. Those words being:

Aura

This is a fanfiction. Therefore, if Percy doesn't use Riptide actively, it's okay :)

I know Zoe's name traditionally has two dots above the E. Just saying, it's okay without :)

I plan to post one chapter every weekend, either by Saturday or Sunday night. I won't post on exam weeks though, and will give y'all a heads up when I do.

And finally, a disclaimer. I don't own any of this material, besides the fanfiction itself. Original plot, canon characters, scenic descriptions and everything else belongs to Rick Riordan. It is merely an honor to write alongside him and everyone else.
