Seems like everything was going fine.
His beautiful wife finally had their baby, who they named Sasuke Uchiha. He took after his mother. He would be quite a handsome young man when he grew up.
They celebrated and had fun with the other Uchiha family members.
It seemed like all was well and there was nothing that could ruin this amazing day.
Oh how wrong Fugaku was.
The Nine Tails came out of nowhere and attacked the village.
Dozens of homes were destroyed.
Hundreds of people were killed.
He did his best to defend the proud village of Konohagakure.
But his efforts were futile as the Nine Tails was too powerful.
He himself was fatally wounded. He was definitely not going to make it past this day. His thoughts went to his family and the Uchiha Clan.
He wished it was different. He didn't want his new son to be introduced to the other side of the world so early.
But life was unpredictable at times.
He hoped Minato would make sure Sasuke was alright.
He and Mikoto had to make the hardest decision for everyone's sake.
Minato would use the Reaper Death Seal to seal the entirety of the Nine Tails inside of Sasuke.
He dearly hoped his son survived.
He was an Uchiha and Uchiha are strong.
He smiled as he sensed the last of his life fading away.
'I leave the rest to you all.' He thought with no regrets as he closed his eyes.
-7 Years Later-
The academy day just ended and Sasuke couldn't wait to come home.
Shisui was finally returning from his mission and his brother would be there too.
He happy skipped his way to the Uchiha Complex.
He couldn't wait to tell his mother how great he did in school today.
He stopped in his tracks as he felt something.
It was like at the pit of his stomach and as much as he tried, he couldn't shake the bad feeling off.
Something was very wrong.
He started to now sprint to the Uchiha Complex.
It was in his sights and he ran even faster.
The strong smell of blood bombarded his senses.
He entered.
His eyes widened with shock and fear.
He seen the dead and bloody bodies of different Uchiha he once knew.
His auntie...his uncle...everyone...
His eyes widened even more "Mother...!!" He started.
He dropped his things and sprinted towards their house.
"Please be alright!!" Sasuke yelled as he hurried.
-To the main Uchiha house-
"You're weak like he was...mother." Itachi narrowed his eyes dangerously as he flicked the blood off his sword.
Mikoto backed into a wall. "I-Itachi...my b-boy...why are you doing this?!!" Mikoto painfully screamed at him.
Itachi scoffed. "My reasons are none of your concern..." He raised his sword to slash Mikoto. "Goodbye mother."
He suddenly felt thumps against his leg.
"Leave! Her! Alone!!" Sasuke said with every punch.
Itachi narrowed his eyes and lowered his sword. He grabbed Sasuke by the hair and lifted him up and threw him hard against the wall. Sasuke screamed with pain.
"Sasuke!!" Please Itachi don't!!" Mikoto screamed at him.
Itachi smirked. "Now you will watch as I kill mother in front of you...little brother." Itachi raised his sword again.
Sasuke looked at the exchange hopelessly and uselessly. He wasn't strong enough. He couldn't save his beloved mother. He was...too weak.
He felt his eyes start to pulse as he held a hand out to her.
"Mother!!" He yelled to her.
Itachi sliced his sword down.
-Chinggg-
Itachi looked surprised as he looked into the eyes of his former best friend.
Shisui held his sword at bay with his tanto. His activated Sharingan eyes glaring dangerously at Itachi. "What have you done Itachi??" His voice was a livid calmness with a sharp edge to it:
Itachi hid his surprise under a smirk. "You will later come to understand Shisui. Until then.." Itachi made a sign and he disappeared.
Shisui sheathed his tanto and quickly went to Mikoto and Sasuke.
"Are you both alright??" Shisui asked as he analyzed them for any injuries.
"Shisui!!" Sasuke hugged him. "What's going on?!" Sasuke screamed into his shirt.
Shisui soothingly patted his back. "Shhh Sasuke. Something very horrible just happened and I will need you to be strong for me okay??" Shisui held him back and looked into his eyes.
His eyes widened with shock at what he saw.
'The Mangekyo Sharingan?! At this age?!' Shisui shockingly thought. It was unsurprising though, especially after all he just witnessed.
"O-Okay Shisui." Sasuke then went to his mother and hugged her. Mikoto protectively hugged him back.
She looked up at Shisui. "A-Are there any others alive??"
A gloomy and saddened look temporarily came upon Shisui's face. "I only managed to save Izumi Uchiha the rest are...gone."
Tears fell down Mikoto's face as she nodded to him. "I-I understand. T-Thank you very much S-Shisui." She tried to smile.
Shisui gave her a small smile and nodded. "This will have to get reported to the Third Hokage. I can teleport us there. Just come outside because Izumi is waiting also." He said.
Mikoto nodded and shakily stood up. "Come on Sasuke, Shisui is about to take us to the Hokage Tower." Mikoto said to him, Sasuke still hugging her.
"Wait Mikoto you go ahead first I want to talk to Sasuke real quick." Shisui said to her and Mikoto nodded. She left to go outside with Izumi.
Shisui crouched down and placed a hand on Sasuke's shoulder. "Sasuke do you feel any weird sensation around your eyes??" He asked.
"Yes. I felt it ever since...yes Shisui." Sasuke answered.
"Well you feel that because you're special Sasuke. I'll explain it later. Try taking some deep breaths to calm yourself down." Shisui suggested and Sasuke closed his eyes. He then took deep breaths.
Once he was done, he opened his eyes to the regular Onyx black. "I don't feel it anymore Shisui." Sasuke said.
'Good. I definitely didn't want the Third Hokage to notice it.' Shisui thought. "Good job Sasuke. Now let's head to the others, they're waiting." Shisui said and led the way out.
Sasuke looked at his shaky hand and it slowly clenched into a fist. He promised himself he would get stronger and won't allow himself to feel weak ever again. He would get stronger for his mother, so no one can ever hurt her again and most importantly, he would become stronger than Itachi. He won't allow him to hurt anyone else.
With that last thought Sasuke continued to follow Shisui to the rest.
