Prologue: The Breaking point
The village of Uzushiogakure and the land of whirlpools had seen better days, what used to be a loud and joyful land. Now is filled with nothing but silence and sorrow, if you ask why? Well, it was the war. The Shinobi world war to be exact. A conflict never seen before even among veterans of the warring states, because instead of families like the battles of old, instead it was countries people with no real parentage between them fighting against people they didn't really have any real conflict between them. Even Uzushio a small among the newly founded ninja villages was suffering from them, with the war there was a lack of income, resources have become more expensive and it seems that every they had to sent more shinobi only for every time fewer to return, moments like these filled the heart of the people with questions about the future like when it could end, is something like these going to happen again , is this your future, these and more filled the head of the heads of the inhabitants of these lands, though they are ignorant to one event that will define the future of not just the Uzumaki clan but of all the world.
A trio group of clouded figures were rushing for the forest to see the Uzumaki clan head at Uzushio, silently they move on the tranquility of the night, not seen, not heard like shadows they run with only one objective they need to talk with him without making the border patrols think they are spies. After what been weeks of hardships and difficulties the trio finally reach their destination a small island with a giant door with a red spiral. the famous Uzumaki clan homeland Uzushiogakure no Sato. On that door there were two adult redheaded men acting as guards both are carrying spears always vigilant for future enemies, the trio not wanting to risk a misunderstanding decided to just be open about it and talk directly they explained why they are here and why they need to talk to the clan head, only for the guards losing the color on their faces a second later with one of them running directly to his leader, no one expected this to happen.
Ryuu Uzumaki wasn't a prodigy, ambitious or anything beyond the ordinary, he followed his family footsteps as it was expected of him, so he was just the gate guard and important-ish job but not essential and was happy doing that he never expected something like this to happen to him. So, he ran. Ran like he was being pursued by the Shinigami himself, through the street, through the ceilings, he just ran, he needed to see his leader as fast as possible and just when he was beginning to lose his breath he arrived the Uzushio council room where his leader Ashina Uzumaki worked, eliminating any sense of courtesy Ryuu banged through to the door to Ashina personal officer. And there he was his once blood like red hair turned white, he also had a prominent beard and moustache from the same color, he was from the looks of it is working with a scroll to create o modify a new Sealing jutsu. That was until he caught the sight of one of his underlings. At this Ashina smiled and let Ryuu sit down. Ryuu denied the offer and explained to his leader why he was there and everything their visitors that wanted to meet him, the smile quickly turned to a scowl.
A short time after this Ryuu returned to his post and reunited with his clansman and fellow guard Takeshi and escorted the trio to meet their leader.
The trio was watching their village while they were escorted by the duo of guard, in spite of their current situation they admitted the village was beautiful, a combination of their view of they sea they lacked on their own homeland with a delicious scent of the sea it feel similar to a place where you go to a vacation. Though they noticed how much attention they brought with their presence they felt the stares of every Uzumaki present daring them to try something, but they don't want to battle the Uzumaki, the opposite actually. Their line of thought was interrupted by their guides saying they arrived, leaving them in front to what looked like the biggest building on the village with a quick gesture invinting them to enter the building.
Inside they meet them three imponent figures sitting right next to each other -on the right was a middle aged woman with vibrant red hair cut on a hime cut and green eyes she had delicate figure and was wearing what looked like a blue kimono , on the left there was a men he also had the typical hair of his clan on a "samurai" ponytail with black eyes, he was wearing a purple kimono with a sarashi, in contrast to the woman he had a more muscular physique and on the middle was Ashina scowling at the sight of their visitors. They were the Uzumaki Clan council.
"You have a lot of nerve coming here. Please enlight me are you brave or just stupid. Give me one reason why I shouldn't eliminate you right now RAIKAGE"- at this the figure took their cloaks on the right there was a man with prominent sideburns with chiseled features and dull purple hair he was Toroi, on the left there was a Bald black man with brown eyes a harsh features he was D and finally the figure on the middle he also a black man with "T" shaped hair he also had a stylized beard which tapered off into a goatee and sideburns which curved inwards. He was the Nidaime Raikage Raikou all three of them were wearing the typical ninja vest of the cloud village.
"Ashina-san . I didn't come to fight. I come here with my subordinates Toroi and D to talk about the future. A chance for both of our factions to prosper"-The man answered only to give a subtle bow to the Uzumaki clan leader.
"The future HA, good joke we are not allies why should we trust you?"- Questioned the only woman to the group of cloud ninja.
"Masako calm down"- the young man said to his female counterpart which she responded by sticking her tongue at him.
"Don't worry, Mr…. sorry we didn't get your name"-The Raikage excused himself.
"Our mistake. We didn't introduce ourselves. Let me start my name is Uzumaki Ryouma , the woman next to me is Uzumaki Masako and you already know about our leader Uzumaki Ashina . Me and Masako are advisors to Ashina-san we help him with "difficulties" "- The Raikage nodded understanding the situation.
"Well like I was saying Ryouma-san is true that we are not allies. But also we aren't enemies the worst we can say is that we are enemies by proxy thanks to your alliance with Konoha. Actually there is no real animosity between our countries"- Ashina had to admit that Raikou had a point thanks to Uzushio more or less neutrality on the shinobi war they haven't fought with Kumo beyond some petty squabbles one on one.
"Even though , you still haven't told us the most important thing. What do you want so badly for a kage and his bodyguard to travel all the way to Uzushio"- The blunt way Ashina asked Raikou about his intentions caused the shinobi the otherwise serious shinobi expression to soften.
"Is about this war so simple as that.".
"What you mean by that Raikage-sama"- asked Ryouma with a bigger interest on the kage response.
"The number of responsibilities of a Kage are high specially on war times . I'm not only supposed to be a strategist on our maneuvers but also I need to care about the future, sadly I need your help with the second every day . I have to sent more unprepared kids to the harsh battlefield and hope they survive as you expect the results aren't quite hopeful. I need to do something to protect the future of my village , that a feeling i think you guys understand".
"So that what you want. An alliance between our villages"- Answer Ashina while crossing his arms while he try to judge the Kage.
"Yes and no. What I want goes beyond a simple alliance between our villages. I want the Uzumaki clan to join Kumo"- This declaration caused the Uzumaki council eyes to open wide neither could believe what they just heard.
"YOU WANT TO WHAT?"- Masako screamed while barely restraining herself to attack the Kage, while both Toroi and D are preparing to the chance to fight- "SO YOU COME ALL THE WAY HERE JUST TO WHAT, GET MORE MINIONS, TO USE US AS CANNONFOODER YOU GOT A LOT OF NERVE DARING TO ASK THAT. HOW DARE YOU ASK TO LEAVE OUR HOME TO WORK UNDER YOU"
"Calm down Masako. That an order"- Ashina ordered to his advisor, who at least tried to contain her anger- "And you explain. NOW"- he said while pointing to the Raikage.
"I could have worded better. I don't want you guys as my minions. Let me explain"- after saying that the Raikage took a deep breath and prepared himself to explain his plan- "When I was younger, I was the bodyguard of the Shodaime during the first Kage summit. I remember how the Hokage told us about your clan and their incredible powers of sealing which he used to capture and later distribute all the bijus among the ninja villages. Right now, Kumo is having with the Hachibi and Nibi our jinchuriki can barely use their power without going berserk and becoming a danger for themselves and others. Our best seal masters are running out of options and ideas on how to deal with it. What I want is just that a small group of your ninjas to join Kumo so they can
help us perfect our sealing abilities. Toroi-after explaining himself the Raikage snap his finger so Toroi gave a scroll to Ashina- All of that is explained on that scroll. Kumo is ready to pay well for that service , the Uzumaki clan will not only be given their own clan compound with a land of your choosing, your children will be given the chance to join Kumo if they want to, also they will gain citizenship of the Lighting Country , also Kumo is ready to give Uzushio the chance of learning about our powerful jutsu and our kenjutsu if they desire it, there is also few more perks that are explained more on the scroll. What do you say Ashina-san we can create the strongest alliance the world have ever seen. This could lead to a new era to both of our children we can become the strongest in the world.- Declared the Raikage meanwhile the trio of Uzumaki were in silence all thinking it what it could mean for the clan. Ryouma was thinking of the implications of this and what could mean for the future. Meanwhile Masako didn't like it even with all the "perks" that doesn't change they lose their freedom and while become subservient of the Raikage. And Ashina…. -
"Sorry we can't accept your offer"- the leader simply said.
"What is the problem? If is about the terms, they are still negotiable while still within reason obviously"- was the answer of the Raikage.
"Is not that. I'm an old man I lived past 80 in a world where nobody reached 40. And I did that knowing who to trust, while we are not enemies. Uzushio is an ally of Konoha. A place that you're an enemy. I can't betray Konoha, the Hokage or our cousin clan the Senju. So, while I thank you for the offer we must decline. I'm sorry"- Ashina said giving a light bow meanwhile the Raikage sit down with great disappoint however Raikou didn't become Raikage for giving up, after all if there was one iron rule in Kumo is if you want something fight for it.
"Ashina I got your however I must insist is a good chance for both of us, so at least can you try think about it read the scroll it may change your mind. We are going to leave for Kumo in three days if you reconsider while we be waiting on Kujira Bay. Thank you for your time Toroi , D let's go"- after saying that the Raikage and his entourage left the Uzumaki council guided by Ryuu and Tatsuya they didn't want to push their luck staying on Uzushio.
After the Raikage left the building, the trio were staring it was an awkward silence all of them thought about the offer the pros and cons about it but neither of them dares it to do the first step.
"What a loud of bullshit"- Correct almost nobody dare it to make the first step. -"He think he is so important that he can go to boss us around. We should just burn that scroll and forget about this".
"Calm down Masako, the Raikage is right maybe we should consider this."
"No Ryouma . Masako is right is better to just let this go"- Ashina said while taking the scroll.
"Wait. Aren't you even considering this"- Ryouma said indignantly about his leader decision.
"What is there to consider I already said we are Konoha allies, and we are not going to betray Tobirama or his ninja"- Ashina said simply.
"We can use that money you know, bring new abilities to our table train our men, better our defenses, that are good chances that you're just throwing away"- Ryouma declared with his voice taking a colder tone.
Ashina wanted to say he was surprised but the sad truth was that he was expecting this.
After all this have been happening a lot lately. Ever since the war started Ryouma have been more defiant on his choices, feeling that he is not doing enough for the clan.
"Ever since the war started, we are working thrice of what we used to do. And we only gain at least half of what we need. We are not receiving any merchants because they are afraid of the journey and our usual costumers aren't buying our products. If this keep up it may be the end of the clan. And yet you decide to do nothing about it."- Declared Ryouma with anger at his leader inaction to what Ashina could only close his eyes for a few seconds.
"And what do you expect me to do. Betray our allies. Sell our principles, our honor, everything we the Uzumaki clan stand for. For what a small amount of Ryo. We just can't do that to Konoha. They haven't done anything to us. They don't deserve us betraying them"- Said firmly Ashina to his younger clanmate. Both Uzumakis stared each other in what both of them felt was the longer stare contest they ever been the tension was so thick is was getting hard to breathe in there.
Uzumaki Ryouma gain his position as advisor not only thanks to his combat prowess but also thanks to his capacity to keep a cool head sadly for how calm he is there was one element he could never change he was an Uzumaki and just like all the Uzumaki he has a temper the difference was that his EXPLODE.
"That is the problem. Konoha hasn't DONE ANYTHING FOR US FOR YEARS."- Replied Ryouma punching the wall next to him with enough strength to fracture it and unleashing what he felt was anger that had been bottling up for years leaving both Ashina and Masako on silence. -"For decades since we worked with Hashirama to collect the bijus. Konoha hasn't done anything for us they haven't offered us any help with our issues, but they expect us to run at their aid at the minor chance of trouble like if we are their minions. Or I'm wrong where it was Konoha when Taki start stealing our clients, or where was Konoha when that Iwa team was caught tried to steal our secrets, or how about we remember when Kusa tried to force our captured shinobi to unleash a demon on the land. And let's not forget the reason this war even started on the first place. Was because we were dumb enough to listen to an idiot stupid plan to capture the Bijus. At least with Kumo alliance we are gaining something"- after he finished ranting, he could only see one thing the steel eyed glance of someone he used to look up to and admire judging him like he was a strange mix of a petty thug and some overconfident child. That disgusted him in a way that strook him to his core.
"Ryouma. I get that you're upset. But we won't sell our values just for power. That path will only lead to more problems later. If we accept. We are are going to have to fight for Kumo on their battles and not just we are going to turn our back on Konoha but also will be making enemies out of them. I'm not going to do it, is not worth to lose everything the Uzumaki clan ever stood for" -This simple sentence lead to Ryouma feeling a strange cold crawling at his back this was going more of mere anger no this was something more.
"Ashina-san. You're a dreamer. You want to create and guide the clan to a better life but let me just say this once. You cannot protect our children lives with fantasy. You're our leader your job is supposed to think what is best for the village as a whole .We need to ensure the family has a bright future not hope everything will work out".- After that both of them started another stare down both of them could see the small cantity of sweet going down their foreheads.
"You're right. I'm the Uzumaki clan leader and as his leader I just going to say this one more time. AS LONG I'M THE HEAD OF THE FAMILY WE RE NEVER GOING TO MAKE AN ALLIANCE WITH KUMO AND THE RAIKAGE. END OF THE DISCUSSION "- Exclaimed Ashina while punching his mahogany desk to emphasize his point, which only caused Ryouma to frown and clench his fists with anger to this development.
" I think I need some time alone. Goodbye Ashina-san"- and with that Ryouma turned down and left the room slamming the door when he left to think and process what just happened.
"I'm sorry Ashina-sama. I'm going to talk to some on to him you know how Ryou-chan is. And to be fair this war has been stressful for all us"- Masako after being silent during the argument between both male Uzumaki
"No Masako-chan. Ryouma right now is emotional he will not listen. I think is best if we respect his wishes and leave him alone for the moment."
"I hope you're right. Ryou-chan has always been hardheaded but his heart is on the right place he just want what is best for all us".- Masako said trying to assure only it was unknown if it was for Ashina or for herself.
The day finally ended and Uzushio welcomed the night. During that time neither Masako or Ashina saw Ryouma, so they resumed their everyday life and both hoped the matter with the Raikage and the Cloud was forgotten just so things can go back to normal.
Sadly, what looked like a GIANT FIREBALL ruined that idea. That fireball was incredibly big with a vibrant orange color that illuminated the whole village night sky with a sweet orange color like if it was the sunset of the day the fireball rised to the sky for a few minutes more until it dissipated under her own heat after all it already fulfilled her purpose.
Under the fireball on the ground there was Ryouma only instead of wearing his kimono like before he was wearing a gray body armor with a black undershirt with a katana on his waist and on his forehead he was wearing the Uzushio headband which he was quickly surrounded by his fellow clan members who were expecting an enemy only to see one of their leaders preparing himself for a battle quickly they started to murmur about the situation
"That Ryouma-san what is he doing?"
"What is with that fire ball"
"Is this a prank"
"Did the clouded figures for earlier did something"
"Are we in danger".
Thoughts like these were quickly shared among the clan trying to understand the situation. Meanwhile Ryouma was surrounded by both Ashina and Masako who didn't look very happy with the chaos he caused.
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, WE THOUGHT THIS WAS AN ATTACK"- Masako shouted to the man while Ashina was frowning at Ryouma. Who just stared at them with a cold look in his face.
" Well it look like my Morning Sun Jutsu worked after all. Everyone is here ,that good"- He said while glancing at his fellow clan members who were shocked at this development- " Sorry Masako-chan, but I'm doing what I need to protect my family"- He murmured quietly while looking at his childhood friend who he shared many memories, joy, laughter but also sadness and sorrow, but it wasn't the time to be emotional he already come too far.
"Don't dare to ignore us Ryouma . Answed the question"- Screamed Masako only for her to be ignored.
"MY FELLOW UZUMAKI TODAY 3 STRANGERS COME TO VISIT US WITH A PROPOSITION"- He said while tooking the scroll they received earlier- "THAT MEN WERE THE RAIKAGE AND HIS ENTOURAGE THEY OFFERED US THE CHANCE TO JOIN KUMO AND CREATE A BRANCH OF THE UZUMAKI CLAN THERE"- he screamed revealing the offer they received earlier to his family who were quickly starting talking with themselves
"the Raikage, and Kumo . Why?".
"He just want to use us."
"But for what "
Ryouma at seeing the clear confusion among his family just sighed .
"The offer is not only including monetary and physical aid, it also includes an Alliance with the cloud. I now most of you are scared but we need this help every day this war consume more of our children, of our lives and the sad truth for all of our power we are still a small village we are not Konoha or Iwa , even Suna has a superior military might that us"- He said only to stop for a few seconds to took air. -"And we can't count on Konoha. Tobirama is not his brother and I'm sure he will let us down if it ever endangered his village. Meanwhile Mito forgot her roots her children aren't Uzumaki , they are Senju, and you want to trust these people to come at our aid.- then he started frowned and muttered darkly- "Then that would mean the end of the Uzumaki".
"He is not joking about it"
"That ridiculous we went through tough spots before. We can do it again"
"He is right Mito hasn't come here on decades".
"Don't be ridiculous. Mito-san will never let us down."
"Are you sure? Sure, enough to risk our lives, our children live for it."
That was good for Ryouma he could see their concern or doubt thank to his speech, he just needed a final push to give the punch of grace.
"DON'T LISTEN TO HIM. IS THAT WHAT YOU GUYS REALLY WANT TO WORK FOR A GUY WE DON'T EVEN KNOW, LEAVE OUR HOME BEHIND, OUR HISTORY, WHAT IF HE IS LIYING AND SCREW US. WE CAN'T RISK THA CLAN FUTURE. THINK IT THROUGH RYOMA"- Declared Masako which caused Ryouma to gain a downhearted look on his face, a big part of him really wanted his childhood friend on his side, but he is not going to back now.
"I'm a father ya know, my son just turned 5 years old and he just started his training, every time I watch him my heart worries. What if we aren't strong to protect him , you know what happen to clan survivors right during the warring states right, they spent their life on the run or enslaved to other people and forced to work until their death. Is that what you really want to your children , to mine"- After saying that all the Uzumaki started looking at each other with worry specially a pregnant woman with a healing ability that put her hand on her belly she was afraid of what they could do to his future daughter. After all the memories of the warring states were still recent in which it was common the kidnapping or abuse of users of bloodline limits.
"BECAUSE OF THAT I TOOK A CHOICE"- After he grabbed his headband and used a kunai to draw a line through what it used to be Uzushio surprising his entire clan. Ryouma has become a missing nin. "Ashina-san is still the clan leader. So I'm going to create the Branch Uzumaki Clan on Kumo with me as their leader"- This silenced the entire clan nobody expected one of the leaders to not just defect but also wanted most to the defect with him.
"On 3 days the Raikage will wait for us on Kujira bay, all of those who don't want to fight for a sinking ship come with me to a new life. To a new opportunity I hope you guys listen to me. I will not ask you this if I didn't think this was the better option".- After saying that he disappeared leaving only a tiny pool of blood on the floor.
"He never was here. He used a Blood clone to give his message and then just dissapear. He probably already left the village."- Ashina said still in shock , he never expected that Ryouma will actually left Uzushio.
"He was always unpredictable but this. This is something else and now we have this"- Masako while glancing to his fellow Uzumaki unsure of how many will stay after this.
That was the day the Uzumaki clan reached the breaking point. And also it was the day a new Uzumaki clan was born.
Ryouma and his family for 3 days on Kujira bay for his fellow Uzumaki. To be fair he didn't expect too many to actually appear. He knows that he is asking too much too soon, he just hoped some of them see reason they were family he didn't want them to be hurt.
When he was starting to lose hope, they gradually started appearing. Some of them agreed with him and thought this could be a good opportunity, other did it out of loyalty to him and some were just afraid of consequences that could happen if he was right. At the end approximately 100 Uzumaki members joined him that was more than he expected that was close to a 10% of the clan members after organizing with the members of the new Uzumaki clan. He and a few of his clan members decided to search for the Raikage and explain the situation to him.
After a short while they found the trio of cloud ninja on a campfire it was obvious that they really weren't trying to hide so they jumped from the tree alerting them of his presence.
"So Ashina-san reconsidered that good"- to which Ryouma just responded by shaking his head.
"There was a change of plans. Ashina said no, but a few of us decided that is better to join our village instead"-
"How many is a few?"- questioned Toroi one of the Raikage bodyguards.
"Approximately 100 the majority of them train shinobi"- After saying that Ryouma approached the Raikage until they were standing eye to eye.
"My name is Wildfire Uzumaki Ryouma. I'm only going to say this once Raikage. I'm ready to let me and my clan become your subordinates however we are not your minions and if I ever felt you betray us in any way it doesn't matter how much shinobi you throw at me. I'm gonna cut your head with my katana. That's a promise".
"How dare you threaten the Raikage!"
"Wait D. Let's just say I'm impressed not many dare to threaten a Kage. You have balls Ryouma I respect that. I can work with a man who is determined enough to follow his conviction to the limit, Determination and Conviction that are the root any good shinobi of Kumo must had. I give you my word as Raikage that the Uzumaki clan will be respected and treated with dignity for all of Kumo. So don't worry about that"
"That what I wanted to hear"- after saying Ryouma and his subordinated bowed himself in front of the Raikage- " MY NAME IS UZUMAKI RYOUMA I'M CALLED WILDFIRE. I'm the leader of the Branch Uzumaki clan and I pledge my loyalty and the one from my clan to you Raikage , to Kumokagure, and to Lighting Country. May your enemies be also my enemies until I plead my last breath"- after pledging his loyalty Ryouma extended his right hand to the Raikage who accepted it.
That simple handshake started a series of events that not only changed the story of a clan, but also from a village , a country and finally from the entire world in ways no one ever expected. This are The Chronicles of Thunder.
This is my new story i always liked different village Naruto i also like the cloud village. Hope you guys like the story i have so many cool ideas that i really want to see if there is something any idea feel free to leave a review.

This is a rewrite i lost my old computer with it all of my data inside of it (including passwords) but i really liked this idea so i decided to rewrite it i think chapter 1 is going to be posted close to the end of november.
