Hello everyone and welcome back to a new chapter to my story. I do hope you guys liked the chapter. Sadly, I do wish the site, FFN, is working well right now. But the desktop version isn't functional at the moment due to something with alerts. I do hope they fix it since it's getting annoying. Seems its happening around the site. I wonder why the mobile app works fine compare to the computer?
Good thing I do have this on AO3. Again, while shamless, you can go there to read there too.
Besides that, hope you guys like the chapter.

One Week after the end of chapter 5
Fernando was out in the courtyard of the orphanage, seeing the kids playing. Well half of them since the other half are with Sasha inside. He decided that the guild can wait as he needs time to recover from being forced to harm again.
The foreigner was dressed in the Elite Knight Armor Set from Astora, to give him comfort for the meantime. He was leaning on the tree's shaded side as he kept an eye on them. He was making sure the kids didn't get into trouble as he didn't want them to roughhouse.
"Huh, why are the kids out?"
"Maybe Sasha let them out?"
"That can't be of her to leave them out. They might get in trouble!"
Fernando turns around from the shadow of the tree to see three women coming into view. The kids turn and wave at them like it was nothing wrong. The women opened the gate and entered, making sure the kids were alright. They just laughed as they were being "saved" by the heroes.
The knight got a good look at the women as they wore somewhat scandalous outfits with somewhat matching hats.
The middle one, who seems to be the leader, has an outfit that can be considered conservative. She has a nice set of clothing with the color purple theme around it. She has brown blonde hair that was long to her waist, not as long as Sasha's though it. It was under a hat of pink purple with a pink rose on the top. She has a rapier on her side as a musket on her back. The other two called her Olivie.
The second one wore a yellow, long sleeve shirt that the bottom part pulled up to her giant bosom. Though her attire screams cowgirl, of all things, which threw him off a bit. As unlike the other two. The kids said her name was Paula.
Which brings him to the last one. She has brown hair that seems normal with hazel eyes. Though something about those eyes makes him curious about something. However, this one is the most scandalous of the three. Mainly since she had a bra out in the open! She was showing it out with no shame of her entire dark blue, indigo color. Paula and Olivie said her name out loud as Alameria.
'Interesting, I wonder why they are here?' The knight under the shadow thought as the girls were cautious.
"Don't worry, children, we'll get you inside with Sasha!" Olivie said.
"But Sis Olivia! Big Brother is here looking over us!" Ralph moaned.
"Who could that be?" Paula asked confusedly.
"That would be me," Fernando said, surprising the three. Mainly since he doesn't want them to get confused as he walks out of the tree's shadow. "Howdy," he said casually to them with a wave of his hand.
"Who are you, foreigner?" Olivie said with narrow eyes.
"Rude, but I might as well to alleviate the tension," the man said as he bowed. "My name is Fernando Mendez and I am a caretaker for the kids when Sasha has business." He finished telling about himself as he stood up straight.
"Hey, I heard of you!" Alameria said in surprise as she pointed at him. "You're the man that Captain Merse mentioned. The foreigner that stayed with Sasha!"
"Really?!" Paula said as she was now awed about this turn of events. "That's amazing. We get to see you in person!"
"So you're the Silver Knight," Olivie said as she had her eyes narrowed. "I am curious why you are here? Shouldn't you be in the guild?"
"My life doesn't always revolve around the guild, milady," Fernando replied, noticing her expression as he stayed calm. "I decided to not do anything for the next couple of days. I have my reasons."
"Mhmm," they all said as they all stared at him up and down, humming as they were in deep thought.
"If you don't mind me asking," Paula began. "Why did you stop? Did something happen at the guild?"
"Nah, I think he just took a break, Paula," Alameria guessed with a teasing smile.
"Alameria! Don't assume!" Olivie gasped as she felt she offerended the knight.
"She's right, actually," he corrected them, surprising the noble and the cowgirl. All while the shameless woman smiled. "We all deserve breaks, you know." This made the two blondes blush as the third member began to laugh.
"Hehehe, you got us good there," the cowgirl giggled .
"Fair enough, I suppose," the noble said. "Well then, Fernando, allow us to introduce ourselves." She bowed before him a little. "My name is Olivie Amaltia, from the House of Amaltia."
'Huh, a noble, I hope she knows how to use her weapon,' Fernando hoped in the back of his head.
"Howdy!" came from the short blonde with a smile. "My name's Paula Tronmail! Nice to meetcha." She huffed with a big grin on her face.
'A cowgirl? And a Texan accent too,' the man chuckled mentally, being reminded of a home he is even amazed he still remembered from long ago…
"And my name is Alameria Cresentria," bowed the scandalous wearing woman before she gave him a wink.
'Mhmm, something about her seems… off,' the man noted as he found her to be odd. And it is not because of that wink.
The girls then got together and strike a pose together. Alameria and Paula on the sides and Olivie in the middle.
"And we are the Three Musketeers of Lescatie!" The three told him in unison, which made him curious and smile a bit.
Seems he just met another set of important figures here in Lescatie.
"Ah, it is indeed an honor to meet you all," Fernando said as he bowed to them.
This made the three girls enjoy the respect given to him. Seems that is another thing true as well. While the kids simply awed their "big brother" being amazing.
"So you three are here for Sasha?" Fernando asked them, knowing the answer.
"Yes/Yep," they all replied back at once.
"Mostly to see how she is doing," Olivie added simply to him. Which he nodded in understanding.
"Alright, I won't be too rude and hold you up." He points to the building behind him. "She is inside with the others. I promise her I'll keep an eye on the kids that are outside right now," the man told them.
"You sure?" Olivie asked, not trusting him.
"Come now, Olive," Alameria teased her, causing her to slip up.. "He means no harm and we can definitely take this time to catch up with Sasha."
"I agree!" Paula said in agreement with a grin. "Besides, if anyone would be hurt by this if he does something wrong, it would be Sasha."
STAB!
Something about that comment metaphorically hurt Fernando. Especially when he felt like he was stabbed in the heart.
"Yea," Fernando said stiffly as he motioned to the door. "Go on ahead."
The Three Musketeers of Lescatie nodded as they passed by as they entered the orphanage. Thankfully they didn't notice the stiffness in his reply. Their arrival surprised Sasha who is happy to see them again. Yet while they talk and catch up, the foreigner is left perplexed by the comment.
He wants to say that she is wrong. He would never break Sasha's heart…
But something about it is making him wonder…
-TIMESKIP-
Another week, another day for the man. Fernando was going back to the orphanage as he found spending time with Sasha to be good and relaxing.
Maybe a bit too relaxing.
'I mean, I'm not falling in love with her,' he thought jokingly as he continued his way to the gate before stopping. '...right?'
This was a thought that honestly scared him. Not that he dated women before. No, that isn't the problem. He dated plenty of women. Even in some of his old lives he even got married.
Just that he doesn't know if he should date Sasha. It feels too fast.
Damn Paula for her comment.
Meanwhile with the Musketeers, the cowgirl sneezed.
'Heh, you're being an idiot!'
Fernando turned to his right side and saw a small version of him in a cartoonish devil getup with a smirk on his face.
"What the hell…" he muttered on what he was seeing before him.
'I say go for it, since there is no problem with it,' said the devil him.
'I concur.'
Fernando turned to his left shoulder and saw an…
'I expected an Angel, not a Fallen Angel,' Fernando thought in surprise of his imaginary good and bad sides. On his right shoulder, his devil self. While on his left, it was his fallen angel self.
'I mean, he has a point,' his Fallen Angel said. Which no less stunned the human himself.
'Yes!' His Devil side said with a grin.
'However, I think we should take it slow,' his conscience said, which made his irrational side twitch. 'He wants to have sex.' This made the devil to facefault on his shoulder. 'I say go for a date since we know her. Plus it's been eight months since we've been here. Five of those with her.'
'Fuck you!' the bad side growled.
'You raise a good point,' Fernando muttered before he sighed. 'But I don't want to look forceful about it.'
'A night out isn't too bad,' the Fallen suggested.
'Mhmm, I'll think about it,' the brunette said as he snapped back to reality and knocked on the door.
"Coming," Sasha said from the other side as she began to walk to the front door. She opened the door and smiled upon seeing him. "Ah, Fernando, hello there."
"Good morning, Sasha," Fernando replied with a smile. "May I come in?"
"Yes, yes, you can," she said as ushered him inside. The kids were having a good time in the orphanage as they stopped and waved at him.
"Hello, Frank!" Ralph said to him. A nickname the kids gave him.
"Look, Big Brother is here!" Emisu said out loud, which caused him to chuckle quietly.
"Hiya, kids," he told them. "I'm back!"
The children cheered as they began to huddle around him. Asking him how his day was and if he went through any quests. He said he was doing okay but didn't want to do any quest. Though sadly it wasn't like that as Fernando began to help take care of the kids.
From afar, Sasha cannot help but smile at how good he is with the kids. Seeing how the kids cling on him as they begin to play.
'Heh, he sure knows how to handle the kids,' she thought, still smiling. 'I do wonder if we can indeed be more though… Sounds sudden but I wouldn't mind.' The priestess frowned a bit. 'However, I don't want to scare him away either. Gotta think of a plan on that.'
Sasha began to formulate a plan on how to get his attention. As much as she feels they are rushing, they have been close together for this entire year. So she might as well take Druella's advice and get him. Maybe another time eating dinner alone would do the trick.
Meanwhile while taking care of the kids and taking them outside to play, Fernando was also thinking of a plan on how to get Sasha to go out with her. Though he put that in the back of his head for the meantime. Right now, he was the football coach again. The knight was glad the kids have improved since last time. Sasha and some of the kids looked from the window and awed at the game as the boys played hard. Though he made sure no roughouses were played, which she appreciated. Soon the game ended with Red Team one point to Blue's two points score.
Once that was done, Fernando brought them inside for lunch. The food was better, thanks to Fernando pitching for groceries for the kids. Everyone appreciated the generosity as Sasha used the new ingredients for the meals. While Fernando can cook, he admits he is rusty and would just throw food in a pot and hope for the best. Which made the nun to tease him, to which he blushed.
Though during lunch, Sasha brought up something he wasn't prepared for.
"Fernando, what will you be doing next week?" The green haired woman asked him. The brunette was surprised by the question.
"Wellllll," she began in a tone that he is sorta familiar with. "Seeing that we are comfortable with each other, I was thinking we can go out."
The kids gasp in awe at what they just heard. Do their ears deceive them?
"Does that mean Big Sis wants to be Mommy and make Big Brother into Daddy?!" Emiyu shouted, causing Sasha to blushed at the question.
As for Fernando, who was eating, choked on his food. Completely taken aback from her suggestion.
'Shots fired!' Devil Fernando said with a nosebleed.
'Gotta give her credit for that,' His fallen angel side commented with a blush.
"Fernado! Are you alright?" Sasha asked with concern. She grabbed her own cup of water and gave it to him. "Here. Drink this."
Not wanting to be rude and needing help, the man accepted it and drank small sips to calm himself down. After a few minutes, Fernando was stabilized to say the least.
"Arrrgh! That is much better," Fernando said, happy he escaped death.
"Sorry about that," Sasha apologized.
"It's alright, Sasha, just caught off guard," he said in reassurance. Though he was confused. "But why the question?"
"Well, where to begin," Sasha said with a smile on her face. One that he notice makes her beautiful. "You were new to this land of Lescatie and accepted to live in this orphanage. You helped us out and even remodel a bit of the orphanage. You are a good cook and helped out the kids with the activities you made them do. As well being good with the children's." This made him to blush at the praise she was giving him.
"Yet you are responsible on what you do," she added. "You asked for my blessing when you left and came back from your trip. You also made sure that despite moving out, you come by visit. Even for a pass by greeting. From what the guild told me, you are indeed strong. Yet show mercy to your enemies. Even if they are in the wrong." This made Fernando to nod in understanding, as she did told him of her growing disillusion. "You also admit you are not without your flaws. You have your own inner demons. Some you are willing to ask me for help." That was also true.
And admittedly he still have them. Though she doesn't need to know about that.
"Which is why I believe we should go out as a form of reward," she finished. "So, what do you say?"
'What do you guys think?' Fernando mentally asked to his sides.
'Accept it,' the two sides said in union.
'Heh, figures as much,' He replied to them. 'Anything else?'
'What would you want? I say it's perfect,' Devil Nando said.
'I don't know, something to do before this big date? I don't mind paying it,' the knight explained.
'Mhmm, maybe taker her out for sightseeing?' The fallen angel side suggested.
'Boring.' Devil Nando commented on the plan.
"Well first, I must say I am taken back from your praises and construction, Sasha," Fernando said, making her smile. "I do admit we had indeed been living close together and I had been helpful." He smiled while looking down. Being reminded of some parts of his previous journeys with his previous lovers.
"You really are something, you know that, Rurufon," Fernando said to her, who just the horned woman smile at him.
"How do you feel?" Fernando asked to Yuria, The witch from Boletaria blushed as he decided to try and teach her some magic spells she never heard before. Key word being try, since he is terrible at that.
"Ah!! Ashina Sake is indeed very good! Thanks Emma for sharing this with me," Fernando, as Wolf, said to the nurse, to was also drunk.
"So does that mean yes?" Sasha asked with a hint of desperation.
"Yes, Sasha, I will gladly take you out for dinner next week." Fernando confirmed with a smile.
This made Sasha to clap her hands at a job well done with a loud "Yes" before blushing.
Somewhere from afar, Druella wants to do a flamingo style dance in victory for some reason.
-Outside of Lescatie, two days later-
"Hey there, Marilyn," Fernando said to the Satyros, meeting his Mamono friend in the woods again.
"Hello, Fernando," Marylin replied with a smile. "How has the Great Mundane Knight been?" This made him chuckle underneath his helmet.
"Good, I suppose, Marylin," he replied to her. "Just decided to go for a walk instead of doing any quest for today."
"That's good!" she cheered. "Always important to rest a bit, you know."
The two shared a laugh as they began to trek around the forest in the safer areas. The walk wasn't bad as they talked a bit. With Fernando letting Marylin be confident in taking charge. Though she cannot help but feel something is bothering him. Especially him staring off at the distance.
"Say, Nando, is something bothering you?" The goat girl asked.
This causes him to turn to her, completely off guard. Not expecting her to ask anything.
"Uh, no, nothing at all!" He replied back hastily. 'Shit! She probably guesses I'm lying.'
"While you may not have Mana, I can tell you are lying due to how quick you responded," Marilyn noted in her comment.
'Fuck.'
"So what's on your mind?" She asked him. He wanted to resist but sighed in defeat.
"Always was a lousy liar unless I started it first," Fernando said before looking at her. "The truth is that something is bothering me."
"Oh, do tell~" she said with a grin. "Wait! Don't tell me." The Satyros paused before going in a faux thinking pose. "Mhmm. Let me guess: Is it a girl~?" While he is happy he has a helmet, turning his head a bit to the statement made her clap in her hands in victory. "Yes! I have a feeling it would be!"
'Oh, C'mon!' Fernando groaned in defeat. 'I defeated and killed everything that goes bump in the night! Hollows and demons from abominations to gods and dragons! How can I be defeated this easily by a girl?!'
'Much as I hate to admit it, we never talked to anyone in our journeys,' his Devil side interjected.
'Sadly he's right,' Fallen Angel Nando added with a look down. 'Those we talked to are limited in social skills. They were sadly busy with other things… or being buffoons.'
'I would say traitors, but fair point,' Fernando mentally agreed while also remembering those times with Rurufon, Solaire, Emma, and Alfred. While others were being quite rude like the church in Boletaria, Lautrec, Eileen, and Jin.
"So~" the Satyros said with a smile on her face. "Who's the lucky girl?" The question quickly got him out of his memory trance as he sighs.
"Well, I don't know how you would react to who she is," the knight told her.
"Heh, try me." Marilyn said with an arrogant puff. Prepared for anything he would say.
He took a deep breath as he knew this would bite him in the ass. Though what does he have left?
"I am thinking that I may have fallen in love with Sasha Fullmoon," Fernando said with a strong sense of conviction.
There was silence between the two. As she hardly didn't expected the answer to involve Sasha.
For Fernando, he was fearful that Sasha may have a side she doesn't want to share with him.
For Marilyn, she was shocked the most. Especially from the fact he is a foreigner, and she is a Heroine to the Order.
"Um, Marilyn? You oka-"
"YOU FALLEN IN LOVE WITH SASHA FULLMOON!?!" The Satyros screamed out in the open. Fernando covered his ears from the sudden shout.
"Sshss! Not so loud!" Fernando hissed, still wincing from the shout.
"Sorry," Marilyn apologized as she also winced. "I'm just… shocked, you know. That you fell in love.. And with the Sasha Fullmoon from Lescatie…" she added with flabbergasted.
"Yea, I know," he said to her. "I was with her most of the year, minus the three months I was away." He gloom a bit, as she can tell that this seems hard for him. "I just don't know what to do."
"Why not take her out on a date?" Marilyn suggested. "Should be easy."
"Believe it or not, we do have something planned for it," he admitted, to which she clapped her hands. "But I do want to add something else before the date, you know."
"Mhmm, what do you have in mind?" she asked.
"A plan I have in my mind now is to use a quest as a way for sightseeing either early in the day before the date," the knight explained what is on his mind. "Of course, that means I gotta see which quest is available. The mundane ones have been getting reserved now."
"You can't reserve them?"
"I rather let it be a surprise." Fernando then turn a bit in embarrassment. "And the Knight Academy is annoyed im picking the mundane quests from the squires."
"Fair enough." Still, Marylin giggled at the fact the academy is annoyed with him.
The two began to think on how the plan would work as the Satyros decided to help her friend with this love dilemma he found himself in.
Though on question is on the Satyros' mind.
'Mhmm, I'm curious if that was Sasha I saw leaving in a cloak the other night,' Marilyn. 'It has been a while since I seen a picture of her.'
Dun dun dun. Plot thickens for a bit.
Once I upload the next chapter, it soon comes the most challenging chapter of all.
The Date.
I know I shouldn't focus too much on it. But it's been killing me on writing it well. Along with being a bit fast, which that is on me. But i do have a bit of a plan for it later.
Hopefully, once this trilogy of the date is done, the next trilogy of chapters after should be easy.
Anyway, I hope you guys like the chapter. Favorite, follow or leave a review/comment if you can and stay alive out there.
