Rosalie was relieved to see Peter and Charlotte walking toward them. She always got along with Jasper's two friends. Peter was a lot like Emmett and there was never a dull moment when both of them were together. To the point where she usually avoided the house. They were also just as good fights as Jasper. With the three of them together, not much could stop them. The three of them kept an entire army of newborns in check. Over one hundred newborns and other than a few scars they remained unharmed. A couple of nomads and Edward were no match for them.

"Rose," Charlotte greeted. The smaller woman moved over to Rosalie and hugged her. "I'm so sorry to hear what happened to Bella."

"Thank you," Rosalie said squeezing Charlotte. As much as she loved Alice, she really connected with Charlotte and missed having her around.

"What took you two so long?" Jasper demanded. "We expected you over a week ago."

"Sorry Major," Peter said bowing his head. "I had a feeling it wasn't time to appear."

A feeling. Despite Peter's insistence he simply had good intuition, Jasper knew better. Peter had a gift. Sometimes, when he would do something, or decide to do something, he would get a feeling telling him it was the wrong decision. When he changed his mind and decided not to follow through, the feeling would disappear. It was similar to Alice's gift as decisions were key, but he didn't see visions like Alice said. Peter had always described it as an itch.

Jasper sighed. If Peter's gift warned him not to come until now, then he couldn't argue. No matter how frustrating it was. "Did it have to do with the nomads?" Jasper asked curious. While the gift itself wouldn't make it clear, Jasper believed Peter knew enough to be able to answer it.

"You know I don't know for sure," Peter started. "But yes, I believe if Charlotte and I arrived sooner you may not have found out about nomads. Which would put Bella in even more danger." He turned his attention to Rosalie. "Bella shouldn't be left alone, ever. Not until Edward and the nomads are dealt with. As of now we know there are at least two. Probably a mated couple, which means we need to kill both of them."

Jasper nodded in understanding. If one of the mated pair was killed the other would stop at nothing for revenge. It was safer for everyone to end the both of them. "We'll need to talk to Carlisle. He hates killing anyone, human or vampire."

Peter snorted. He liked Carlisle well enough but he hated the pacifist behavior. In his opinion that would be the end of the Cullen coven. He hoped it wasn't true considering his venom brother was a part of the coven. There're also the others to consider. He was fond of Emmett and Rosalie, and while he wasn't close to Alice, Charlotte was. He didn't want anything bad to happen to Alice for Jasper and Charlotte's sake.

"Alright, let's go talk to Carlisle," he said. "Where is your human mate?" Peter asked curious.

"She's in Seattle with Emmett," Rosalie answered. Peter raised an eyebrow at her. It was obvious he thought Rosalie sent her away. "No, I did not send her away. She's had this planned with Emmett. Emmett's been feeling a little… left out. Bella's more comfortable around Jasper than him and he blames himself."

Peter nodded. Sending her away wouldn't do much good but if it also wouldn't hurt to have her away for a while. Emmett would protect her. "When is she coming back?" Peter questioned. All of their current and future plans revolved around the human. It was all about protecting Bella. Peter never thought he would go to such extreme to protect one human. But this human was a part of his family.

Rosalie's phone buzzed. She'll be back by dinner, Alice texted. "Dinner time," Rosalie told him. "She agreed to spend time with Esme, even though she's mad at her for siding with Carlisle in the mate issue."

Peter shook his head. "He really should know better. But that's no matter. Come on. Let's go talk to Carlisle."

Peter and Charlotte ran beside Rosalie and Jasper back to the Cullen house. It was empty when they arrived. Not that surprised anyone. Carlisle was most likely at work while Esme probably went to the store. Jasper frowned when he didn't see his mate. His own phone buzzed and his mate assured him she was fine, simply hunting, and would be back in a few hours.

Jasper led Peter and Charlotte into the sitting room. "I know I don't have to tell you not to hunt here," Jasper started. He gave the same speech every time they visited even though it was unneeded.

"We know Jasper," Charlotte reminded him. They said the same thing every time.

"Right," Jasper said. "But it's more than that. We're working with the wolves to deal with Edward."

Peter laughed. "You're working with the puppies?" he asked shocked. "Why?" Last he heard the wolves hated vampires with a passion. They did respect Jasper but overall avoided the Cullens.

"One of them, Paul, is close to Bella," Rosalie explained. "He sees her like a little sister. He wants to protect her, since he failed to protect his own sister."

Charlotte nodded in understanding. "Murder or…?"

"Suicide," Rosalie ground out. It was still a sore subject for her. It easily could have been Bella and that horrified her. If she hadn't found Bella that night, who knows what would have happened to her. While she still wasn't a huge fan of the wolves, she would never wish something so horrible on them.

"We will be careful around the wolves," Peter promised. The last thing he would do is turn down help from allies, even if they were puppies. "We will defend ourselves if attacked… but we will not hurt them."

"Perhaps we should speak to them," Charlotte suggested. "Let them know we do not mean their tribe any harm."

Rosalie and Jasper exchanged looks. They weren't sure how the wolves would respond to Peter and Charlotte. Correction, they knew how Sam would respond and it wouldn't be good for the two nomads. "We can approach Paul," Jasper decided. "He's most likely to allow us a chance to speak before attacking. And if he knows you're here to protect Bella, he won't fight it."

"Call your doggie here," Peter instructed.

"Peter," Jasper warned with a glare.

Peter held up his hands. "Alright, alright. I'll play nice," he promised. "But seriously, call him. The sooner we talk, the sooner we can plan."

Rosalie pulled out her phone and dialed Paul's number. "Rosalie?" Paul questioned, having recognized her number. "Is it Bella?"

"Paul," Rosalie greeted. "No, Bella is fine." She hoped. She shook her head. No, she truly believed Bela was okay because she was with Emmett. "We do need to talk though."

"Talk about what?" Paul asked suspicious.

"Jasper's old coven is here to help with Edward," Rosalie informed him. "They're human drinkers," Rosalie continued when he didn't say anything. "They only feed on the guilty." Rosalie sighed. "The point is, we need them. They are expert fights, just like Jasper."

"I don't like the thought of having more human drinkers around," Paul started. "But with nomads around and Edward close to losing control we need all the help we can get. So, I'll talk to Sam. Speaking of which, Sam has requested that Jasper train us to fight."

Rosalie glanced at Jasper and he nodded. "Jasper agrees. Peter and Charlotte can help." Peter made a face but didn't comment. Jasper held out his hand for the phone. Rosalie passed it over.

"Paul, it's Jasper," Jasper said. "We agree you need training and we will train any wolves that want it… along with the rest of my family." He glanced at Rosalie to see if she would argue but she just nodded. "Are the wolves willing to listen to me? Sam didn't seem happy about it."

"They'll listen," Paul promised. "Sam has realized as much as he hates vampires, we need you. We've never had to fight a vampire before."

"We will help," Jasper told him. "Tomorrow, midnight, in the same clearing."

"I… what about Angela and Bella?" Paul asked concerned.

"Bring Angela," Jasper said. "I can guarantee Rosalie will bring Bella. It will be safer for them." Rosalie nodded in agreement. She wouldn't let Bella out of her sight.

"But…" Paul started to protest.

"We can control ourselves Paul," Jasper said kindly. "Even when training. I'm sure the wolves will be able to stay in control as well."

"Yeah," Paul said but Jasper could tell he didn't sound convinced. "Okay. I'll bring her, assuming she wants to come. I doubt it would go well if I tried to force her."

Rosalie snorted. She knew Angela well enough to know that Paul wouldn't be able to force her to do anything. "Alright," Jasper said. "We'll see you tomorrow."

Jasper hung up and handed the phone back to Rosalie. "So doggie boot camp," Peter said thoughtfully. "Well, I'm all for a challenge."

Jasper rolled his eyes. "You're bringing Bella?" he asked Rosalie.

"Of course," Rosalie said. "I won't let her alone with Edward and who knows how many nomads out there."

"Come on," Charlotte said grabbing ahold of Rosalie's arm. "Time you to start your training."

Charlotte dragged Rosalie outside so the three of them could properly train Rosalie to protect her mate.

Edward looked out the window of the apartment he was renting in Port Angeles. Everything had gone so wrong in a short amount of time. Everything he did was being thwarted by his meddlesome family. Even Carlisle, who had always stood by him, had turned on him. It hurt that Carlisle, his sire, turned against him. Why couldn't his family see that he was only trying to protect Bella?

The nomads weren't there to harm Bella or anyone else in Forks. They were keeping an eye on Bella for him. In exchange, they could feed all they want in Port Angeles and Seattle. As long as they didn't touch Bella, he didn't really care who they fed on.

The front door opened and Edward heard the footsteps of two of the three nomads approaching. "Where is James?" Edward asked not bothering to turn around.

"He was in Forks, trying to find Bella," Laurent reported. "After that, I'm not sure."

Edward turned to look at Laurent and Victoria. "Bella isn't in Forks. She went to Seattle with my oaf of a brother."

"Do you want us to go to Seattle?" Victoria asked wrinkling her nose in disgust. She hated this but she was outnumbered. She would follow James anywhere. Even if she didn't like it.

"No," Edward said shaking his head. "She'll come back to Forks. Thanks to James' recklessness," Victoria growled, "my family now knows about him. But they do not know how many nomads are helping me. I want to keep it that way."

"What's the point of all this?" Victoria demanded. "We can just go in and kill your family and the stupid human."

"No," Edward roared. Edward wrapped a hand around Victoria's throat. Even though Victoria had the ability to evade attacks, Edward was simply too quick for her. "You will not touch Bella. Do you understand me?" He squeezed her throat.

"Yes," Victoria choked out.

He released her. "I apologize Victoria," he said, as if he hadn't just attacked her. "My mate is to remain unharmed." He looked back and forth between Victoria and Laurent. They both nodded.

"What about the Cullens?" Laurent asked warily. He didn't want to risk Edward's wrath. But at the same time, he needed to know what to do with them.

"For now, they are to remain unharmed," Edward decided. "But one day Rosalie will need to be punished for stealing my mate." Edward locked eyes with Victoria. "I think you and James will enjoy breaking her."

"It will be our pleasure," Victoria said with a grin.
