Chapter 3: A Koco's Family Gathering

Gingka slowly walks on the metal platform he was on.

Gingka: That battle was intense. But the next time I battle him, I won't lose. (He sees a big creature.) Whoa. Who are you?

Hermit Koco: My name is Hermit Koco. At least we meet, Gingka Hagane.

Gingka: But I've never seen you before.

Hermit Koco: Just like the Koco, you have touched the Digital Dream. Unlike most, I know how to listen to it and hear some of its secrets. To here it properly, though, I must keep it to myself. Call me a hermit if you like. It is the path I've chosen. Have you found any seeds in your travels?

Gingka: Yeah. I defeated some robot bladers to get them.

Hermit Koco: Okay. Give them to me and I will unlock their power and pass it on your bey.

Gingka gives him the seeds and the hermit uses his powers to boost Pegasus' attack and defense up by 13 levels.

Gingka: Thanks.

Kermit Koco: You're welcome. Good luck on your mission.

Gingka: Okay. (He leaves the hermit alone and sees an eagle.) This island has really cool eagles. I should bring Tsubasa here someday. (He approaches Madoka and sees her with a koco.) Yo, Madoka. Who's your friend?

The Koco shakes it's head, and speaks code to Madoka. She nods as she addresses.

Madoka: This Koco says they need to find their one true love before it's too late. They've been too shy to express their feelings, but if they don't do it now, they may never get the chance.

Gingka: (Confused) You... got all that, huh?

Madoka: Yeah. The dimension I'm in is translating for me. It's strange, but feels natural.

Gingka: Well you always had a knack for weird insights. Who am I to argue?

Madoka: (To the Koco) Well don't you worry. We'll reunite you with your lost love!

Gingka: (Crosses arms) I would think we've got more pressing issues but... again who am I to argue? (Madoka looks at him.) How're you feeling, Madoka? I mean, what's it like being all ghost-y?

Madoka: Honestly I don't feel that different since you helped clear my mind. I guess it feels kind of... detached? Have you ever flown around in a dream? Like you're lighter than air? That's what it feels like to me, anyway. I just wish I could finally land and be whole again.

Gingka: Hang in there, Madoka. I'll figure something out.

Madoka: Okay Gingka.

Gingka leaves her alone and sees the control tower. He launches Pegasus.

Gingka: Race ya! (He and Pegasus raced up the control tower. Gingka is climbing it and Pegasus is spinning up the tower. Both Gingka and Pegasus reached the top and Pegasus was first.) Looks like you beat me Pegasus. (Pegasus returns to Gingka.) That was fun. We should do this again sometime. (A shine flashes on Pegasus and Gingka notices Silver.) Ah... Yo! Don't you think that Titan blader was kinda overkill?

Silver: You are an enemy to be eliminated, and you are powerless compared to its might.

Gingka: Maybe as I am, but I'm willing to bet I could handle it with a brand new special move for Pegasus. All I need is to get even stronger!

Silver: Doubtful. In any scenario, the end results will not change. Additionally, what you seek is in its presence. You've lost the battle before it has even begun.

She snaps her fingers and enters the cyberspace portal.

Gingka: That girl... Is she a robot blader?

He launches Pegasus and it's avatar appears. They both made it to the next cyberspace portal, where Madoka is.

Madoka: It's beautiful here, but there's a loneliness here. The land feels sad and empty.

Gingka: Yeah, I got the same feeling. And I think it's tied to the ruins, weird robots, and other stuff we've encountered. But on the plus side, I've got plenty of room to run around.

Madoka: And you never know how many new routes you may discover!

Gingka: Yeah. I'll try not to have TOO much fun finding a way to restore you!

Madoka: You know something? These ruins are almost like a puzzle.

Gingka: I know, right? I don't even know what I'm doing with most of these. I'm just running and battling on instinct.

Madoka: Well, the energy that powers them is linked to Cyber Space, right? And you took on that power when you freed me. Maybe that link is giving you special insight? Maybe they used that link among themselves. Like, instead of a language, they shared their thoughts and feelings directly!

Gingka: Maybe. All I know is the idea of the map gets updated in my head, which brings me one step closer to rescuing you!

Madoka: Gingka, I found 2 portal gears. You can use them on this portal and another one.

Gingka: Cool.

He grabs puts one of the portal gears in portal, which activates, and puts his hand on the portal gear, which glows and takes him back to cyberspace.

Gingka is in the cyberspace version of the Dark Nebula headquarters and sees a Mad Gasher spinning in the stadium.

Gingka: I'm facing off against Tatsuya's old bey this time. But for some reason, he's not here. (He launches Pegasus into the stadium and it starts clashing with Gasher) Go Pegasus! (Gasher pushes Pegasus back with all its might, but Pegasus manages to hold off the attack and starts to attack Gasher even more, and it starts using its special move.) Pegasus, go skyward now! (Pegasus goes in the air and starts to speed towards Gasher) Special Move! Pegasus Starblast Attack!

Pegasus slams into Gasher and knocks it out of the stadium. Afterwards, the bey returns to Gingka and he goes through the portal, leaving cyberspace.

Gingka returns from cyberspace and he then makes his way back to Madoka. She checks upon 2 sad looking Koco. She prompts Gingka and soon as he approached her.

Madoka: Gingka! Over here! (The Koco mother communicates to Madoka again.) This poor mother's lost her children. Can you lead them back here with Pegasus, please?

Gingka: Sure thing!

Gingka launches Pegasus and the bey leads the young koco towards their parents. They drop several bombs and they explode. Pegasus dodges the explosions and the bombs as the bey continues to help the Koco make it closer towards their parents. All 50 Koco approached the parents and reunited with them.

Gingka: Good job Pegasus!

Pegasus returns to Gingka and he does a victory dance, which ends with him showing his bey. Gingka approaches the Koco and they are all walking around. A young Koco rolls towards its mother and they jump in the air and leaned on each other. Afterwards, a beam of light exit the Koco and go in the air, and the 2 Koco fainted. The Koco father communicates to Madoka.

Madoka: Okay! Okay! We'll keep looking. (The Koco jumps and rolls into the long grass.) Gingka, they act like none of that happened.

Gingka: Do we even know what "that" was?

Madoka: (Looking at the fainted Koco in misery.) No, but I got a sense of... completion? Comfort?

Gingka: Weird. Let's keep moving. I want to wrap up our time here A.S.A.P.

Madoka: Sounds good to me.

They both continued to help the Koco.
