Chapter 19; Golden Tips
"Weird as in…" The former number one hero asked questioningly, as he knew Silver was an alien and trusted the hedgie-boy…but still had to keep his guard up just in case things aren't as they seemed.
"Well, he just glared at Aoyama with a look like he had peppered lemons sprayed in his eyes or something." All Might chuckled at the wording but Izuku just stayed in his worried state, "He had…spite in his eyes." This perked the teacher's attention to its fullest, "And I just…again I dunno maybe I'm imagining it, but after Silver has regained his memories, he just doesn't seem to like Aoyama…like at all." The puzzled teen furrowed his brows and held his bruised hand up to his face in a thoughtful manner, "I can't figure out why. They couldn't have had any past together, and Silver just doesn't hold spiteful grudges against people for no reason. I've rarely seen him get mad at all. It just doesn't make sense, I asked Aoyama about it and he said he didn't know and I asked Silver but he just ignored the question entirely." Midoriya let out a heavy sigh while All Might's eyes widened, raising a small spark of hope.
'That's right! Young Silver was in All for One's lab base thingy for like two weeks! He could know some of the Legeaue's plans…and more so who the U.A. traitor is…but I can't jump to conclusions. Teens are teens and maybe Silver is just begrudgingly mad about a small thing that happened. But Silver may be more helpful than we originally thought. Even if he doesn't know who the U.A. traitor is, small details or plans would be helpful.' All Might thought before nodding lightly to himself, "Don't worry Young Midoriya." Deku turned to his teacher and stood up, "It's probably not much, but I will talk to Young Silver about it for you, alright?" Izuku lit up with a bright smile, making All Might mirror his student with a smile of his own, "Now let's work on that Air Force, all right kiddo?" Izuku gave a quick nod with a smile, now his worries were going to be solved so he was full of vigor once more, while All Might too was a bit happier with a new idea and Silver may be the key to solving quite a few major problems.
Silver stomped into the dorms, threw his work apron off and to the ground, pulled his hair out of the ponytail it had been in for work, and broke the hair band out of anger. The psychic's fists were all balled up and he was shaking with rage, his emotions overflowing. He needed an outlet, something safe to let out all his rage on without anyone being hurt. If he didn't have an outlet, he needed to calm down mighty fast, or else his power would automatically activate and start breaking stuff and probably hurt someone. So the psychic teen chose to try and calm down, he stiffly walked over to the couch and sit down with his arms crossed, Kaminari and Izuku sitting tensely on either side of him. He probably interrupted any conversation they had, the day's events played through his mind and he just couldn't help but let out a frustrated yell. An outlet, he needed an outlet so he just picked the tree that was outside the window. Without moving from his spot, and with little effort the tree was quickly uprooted and glowing within his grasp. And just because he was still seething with anger, he used his hands to do a snapping-a-twig motion and the tree snapped in half, with little effort too.
That made Izuku and Kaminari go stiffer as they watched Silver, without even getting up from the couch, absolutely obliterate the tree. Turning it to a pile of leaves and wood chipping in a matter of mere seconds. "Uh…what happened?" Izuku asked hesitantly and Silver huffed, not at all mad at his friend.
"This group at the cafe," Silver grumbled sourly, "They came in things were fine, I asked for their orders and they just gave me a weird and grossed-out look." Silver rolled his eyes, "I didn't care much but I asked again and they said they needed a second." His ears bent back and his eyes narrowed, "They were an anti-hero (as in against heroes) group or something because the whoooooole time they were there they spoke loudly and hatefully about heroes and U.A. and the hero system and-" Silver growled, "I'm sure they knew I was training at U.A. cause they'd talk specifically about horrible things whenever they thought I was in earshot. I couldn't even get mad because I need this job and they took that for advantage." The seething teen was shaking with overwhelming anger.
Both of the trainees next to the psychic also gained an upset look, "That's awful, I'm sorry." Uraraka said with a small frown, "Even if they are doubtful though we have to prove we are better than that!" She grew a soft smile to prove her point and Izuku also smiled with a nod.
Silver shook his head otherwise though, "Nooooo, this group can keep themselves safe." Silver spat out and Deku frowned with Silver once again growling, "They called me over when they were ready to order, I reluctantly got their orders and was about to go to the kitchen to give them to Akira but they held me back, asking how I felt about the whole hero thing." The psychic threw his head back against the couch cushions and huffed again, "They were just trying to use whatever I said next as proof against heroes. I was soooo mad but I had to keep my cool otherwise my quirk would have activated and hurt them and I just wanted to slap them in the face, but I couldn't." Izuku gave a worried look and Kaminari cheered while Uraraka frowned uneasy like Deku.
"You soooo should hit them in the face!"
Silver gave a blank look to Kaminari, "What did you do?" Izuku asked worried, correctively thinking Silver snapped at them out of anger.
"I just said I didn't have time for games otherwise their order would be delayed." Silver said with a huff, "I did my best to keep a straight face and not get mad, I think did good at the very least." Silver sighed and closed his eyes, obviously trying to keep himself from getting mad again, "They stayed there my whole shift, thankfully it ended and I didn't have to talk to them so now I can properly calm down." He said through a deep breath, before opening his eyes, looking at Izuku who smiled.
"That was the right choice, smart move!" Uraraka said happily and Izuku nodded allowing Silver to grow a smile in turn.
Kaminari pouted, "I think you should have hit them still…" Silver shook his head and Izuku gave a 'Seriously cut it out!' glance to Kamniari who shrugged it off.
Uraraka handed Silver a cup and the trainee took it happily, sipping on the warm liquid without even knowing what it was, "Yoayarozu made some nice tea today." Izuku said and Uravity gave an odd face, "You like it, Silver?" Silver nodded before noticing a video that was pulled up on Izuku's phone.
The hedge-boy tilted his head, "Whatcha watching?" Izuku raised a brow before looking down at his phone. As Midoriya lifted his phone, Silver could see that the freckled trainee had already watched it.
"Oh, it was a misclick." Izuku laughed and out of curiosity, Silver pressed replay, "...why'd you do that?" His friend asked and Silver glanced up realizing that probably wasn't the best choice and apologized, "It's ok, it's just about a villain…his name is Gentle Criminal I believe." As the face of the villain showed on Midoriya's phone and the teen said his name, Silver's eyes widened and he dropped his tea.
Gripping his head with the sudden headache and now the hot tea spilled all over his pants, the psychic knew this was Foresight in action. The ringing in his ears blocked out all other noise and the harsh spinning in his vision made him motion sick once again. The three teens around him were trying to help him and ask what was wrong, but Silver's vision bleached white and the last thing he was aware of was him falling backward onto Kaminari.
Panting and running in the early morning with the flutter of birds, but a single bag in front of a store made his heart drop. "Crap! Deku?! Where are you?!" The echo of his voice bounced around on the empty streets and Silver found himself looking at a construction sight. "Crap! Crap! Crap!" The pounding of his metal boots hitting the concrete filled the air before he jumped up, a blue aura washing his vision cyan.
The pain once again bounced through his head as his eyes shot open. His classmates all surrounded him worriedly and Silver's mind reeled, his 'Vision Intuition' going crazy with how strong it was. And his headache was horrible but at least the ringing in his ears stopped.
"Silver?" Izuku asked placing a hand on his friend's head, "Are you ok? You passed out for like five minutes." Silver blinked with a pained frown, griping his head due to the headache.
"Y-Yeah, Foresight." Silver explained simply and the trainee 'oh'ed but left the class in befuddlement, "My head hurts so bad…" He muttered through gritted teeth before anyone could ask what Silver meant.
Yoayarozu helped Silver up into a sitting position and handed him another small cup of tea, "Here, this tea is really rare and expensive. Perhaps it can help with your headaches." Silver softly sipped the warm liquid and a soft smile grew on his face with the most happy eyes.
"I need a bag of this tea."
It tasted so good, and it helped with his Foresight headaches?! This tea was one of the top ten favorite foods he'd ever had. Technically it's a drink but still, it was top ten. Momo giggled at the hedgie-boy's happy reaction and Izuku sighed thankfully. Silver drank his tea happily with small flicks to his fully perked ears and the warm liquid warmed up his chest. He didn't know he loved tea so much, but now he knew.
Silver was an absolute wreck, he was shaking and sweating, and with Hound Dog's yelling…that didn't exactly help. And with all this nervousness he just laid in his bed, listening to all the muffled yelling five stories below him. Silver sighed and grabbed out his pencil and a spare piece of paper, writing down something once again. The night Sato had here the rustling from his room, that was Silver grabbing a piece of paper and looking for a pencil. Why? A small note to Sonic, even if he wasn't sure how to get it to him yet. So he once again wrote another note, to ease his stress and just to write it down. Then an idea popped into his head and he lit up, it was perfect! He could record the festival! He could hold something small like a phone in his power absently, and he smiled. It would be perfect to look back on forever!
First, though, he needed to sleep. Which was going to be hard, due to his 'Vision Inuition' running rampant and just nerves in general. As well as Kaminari's muffled yelling five stories below him. Silver sighed as he wrote in his bed, just writing until passed out without notice. (A\N; I do this too often T.T) Soon a soft snoring came from the anxious hedgehog and the pencil fell out of his grasp. Lucky for the hedgehog he went to bed earlier than normal. A soft knock came from the outside of his door before Izuku opened the door.
"Hey Silver, it's still a bit early, and some of us-" The leafy teen cut himself off noticing Silver's unconscious state and his face softened into a smile, quietly putting the paper and pencil onto Silver's desk without reading it.
Izuku also tucked the tuckered-out psychic teen under the warm covers and Silver's ear flicked sleepily as he rolled toward Izuku and snuggled under the blankets happily. Deku smiled and patted Silver on the head before turning off Silver's lights and quietly shutting the door.
"DEKU!" Silver shouted with his ears pinned back, his breath hitching and panic was written all over his face, "Dang it! I knew I should have gone with him!" The pale teen yanked nervously at the collar of his dance uniform, sweat pouring out of him for two reasons.
First; His 'Vision Inuitution' was going bonkers, meaning the event he saw was only a few minutes away at most. "Calm down Silver," Second; Deku was missing when he should have returned backstage over ten minutes ago. "You're going to get us all nervous too and that's the last thing we need," Jiruo said twirling her earphone around her finger while the other students around him also did minor nervous tics.
Such as tapping their foot, pacing around the room, fiddling with an object, twirling hair or a cord around their finger, and even Kaminari just made nervous clicking noises. While Silver was just full-out having a panic attack. His dizziness and horrible cold falling feeling in his chest, the feeling of about to barf, hot cold flashes, and excessive sweating. Worst out of everything was the awful feeling of loss of control, like everything was just out of his reach and things started to blur…making him unable to tell what was fake or reality which made things worse. He was hyperventilating and breathing so heavily like he had run half across Japan, yet it was like he was breathing absolutely nothing.
No offense to Aoyama, but his attempts to soothe Silver only made him mad and frustrated on top of everything. "Im going to get him." Silver said trying to calm himself down, gently pushing away the blond trainee, "I just have a feeling he is getting into trouble."
"No Silver!" Kirishima jumped up from the floor, "No we can't have you chasing after him, not when there are only like twenty minutes left before the show!" The scarlet boy said with a worried look, but Silver shook his head.
"I have to."
He didn't say anymore before running off, quickly telling All Might the situation who hesitantly agreed and gave Silver a slip to go get Izuku. The teen quickly changed out of his dance uniform- He had a feeling things were going to be messy and didn't want to ruin it - and then he raced out of U.A. He ran and ran, Silver couldn't waste his energy on flying when he needed it on his little lanterns, so he just ran. Panting and running in the early morning with the flutter of birds, but a single bag in front of the store made his heart drop. "Crap! Deku?! Where are you?!" His vision came true and now it all made sense. The apprentice to All Might was to go get new ropes for Aoyama so the teen didn't get hurt during the show, but now he was late and Silver found the bags Izuku had bought but was nowhere near. The echo of his voice bounced around on the empty streets and Silver found himself looking at a construction sight. "Crap! Crap! Crap!"The pounding of his metal boots hitting concrete filled the air before he jumped up, a blue aura washing his vision cyan.
Forget not flying, he knew something was up once his amber eyes landed on the wobbling construction sight. There was dust and metal done normally wabble-there he was. Silver gritted his teeth, pushing himself faster upon seeing his friend struggling to hold up a metal I beam. (A\N; T beam? Idk I get them mixed up sorry.) The psychic getting frustrated about how the HECK Izuku had gotten into a fight THIS early in the morning! How had simply getting rope turned into this?! 'Help now, show soon, questions later.' Silver growled to himself, trying to keep himself focused.
"IZUKU!" Silver shouted, hovering above a small girl with a camera, "WHAT THE HECK?!" He paid no mind to the small girl as he handed harshly, running over to Izuku and lifting the beam of the striated teen.
"Silver, it's Gentle Criminal! He is trying to get into U.A.!" Izuku said breathlessly and his hedgehog ears perked up, astonishment about why the heck the villain even considered it.
The psychic shook it off and nodded, "Come on." He turned to the wobbly crane and jumped off the ledge, mentally grabbing his friend who yelped in surprise, "Ok, stop wriggling so much!"
"Sorry."
With a burst of speed, Silver and Izuku flew through the sky toward the villain. What was highly unexpected was when Silver suddenly jerked up. (A\N; Silver just shooting across the sky at 300 miles per hour and Izuku sitting in the back trying not to puke with the sudden increase of speeds-) The psychic furrowed his brows, he hadn't meant to do that. He moved forwards once more, shrugging off what happened but then he jolted him and Midoriya once again, this time to the left. He didn't want to waste time being curious, but he psychically poked the 'air' that he jolted without meaning to avoid. And it proved to move, bending to his power and wobbling back.
"Silver what's wrong?" Izuku asked worried, but still tense due to the current situation.
Silver turned to his friend, "That was my ESP, the jolting. I don't move that harshly within my power, so I needed to make sure. There are parts in the air that are invisible but all bouncy like a trampoline. So that's what my power was trying to avoid." Silver briefly explained, making his friend's emerald eyes widen with fascination before he shook his head to refocus.
"Yeah, that's Gentle's quirk. He can elasticize whatever he touches, even air…" The teen glowing cyan beside Silver midair lit up with an idea that crossed his face, "If they are still here, I can use them against him!" Silver smiled, now that was quick thinking! He wished he was that witty- "Silver, throw me above that tree!" The psychic quickly hurled his friend at the tree top, trusting his leafy friend and their judgment…and if he got hurt then it was all on Izuku.
But thankfully, Izuku jumped off another invisible platform and shot an air bullet and it perfectly hit the villain in the gut. Silver allowed himself to freefall, catching himself and his friend last second before they hit the ground, then let both go again. Silver quickly grabbed the little girl and pinned her to the ground. His heart kind of hurt for her, she seemed innocent in the whole ordeal… as Izuku went on about escape was futile, Silver frowned as his ESP once again kicked in. Not making him do anything drastic this time though, it just told him something was…off when the girl said 'I love you' to the villain. It was an odd timing for a confession…(A\N; Uh hi once again. ^-^; Silver's ESP sometimes takes control of his body, its duty is to keep him alive basically. More at the end Author Note-) Before he could click the pieces together, Silver was flung back into a tree while was left to spin above where the villains had been.
"It's best you two take a nap." The villain said as the little girl snuggled into the villain, looking away from the seance with the two teens, "Before things get messier." Silver groaned at the impact of the large pine tree crashing into him as he fell to the ground.
Deku got a painful chop to the neck, but seeing his friend get up and the memory of the school fest starting soon, Silver jumped up and shot forwards. (A\N; Sorry Im STILL working on my fight spaces-) Still, Deku shot an air bullet, shouting he had Gentle. So that left Silver with the young girl named La Brava. Or that was her code name. And she was the hacker, small but smart. She hopped off the older man and ran into the woods, crying as she ran off. Silver began to chase after her but the super-powered adult saw and threw an invisible air barrier in his way. The young psychic grumbled and hopped over the barrier before chasing after the girl.
She must have known about Hound Dog because she was covering herself in the dirt as she ran. Silver called after her, knowing a difference in her behavior. She wasn't a threat. More misguided it seemed, so he knew she wasn't going to hurt him, meaning he had no intentions of fighting her. He knew what it was like to be misguided…The small pink girl ran faster as Silver chased after her. Unknowing and thankfully, Silver telekinetically grabbed her before Hound Dog saw her. He brought her closer and set her down, trying to talk to her. Unluck him, La Brava ran off towards Gentle, and Silver was left to chase her again. She wasn't exactly fast, but she kept throwing twigs and rocks behind her that would hit the teen as he ran. At one point she just grabbed a whole handful of the dirt and threw it towards him, the wind seeming to hate him and it landing into his eyes.
Silver groaned as he stopped to clear his eyes, blinking away the dirt before once again chasing after her. The pale psychic almost tripped over her though because La Brava had dropped her computer and then had just been standing still, which caused Silver to force himself to flip over her to avoid hurting her. Which hurt his back a lot. (A\N; Me trying to do a walk over…) Then without care, La Brava ran over -aka stepped on Silver- the trainee to get to the villain. She shouted and yelled, punching Deku much lighter than he was used to.
"Hound Dog is almost here." Silver said getting up, rubbing his head, "What do we do about this?" Silver walked closer to his emerald-haired friend who looked back with the same unknowing expression, La Brava kicked Silver as he got closer, "This isn't exactly something we can-!" Gentle sprung up for a final time, flinging Midoriya off him, "IZUKU!" Silver shot after his friend without a moment of hesitation, luck be on his side for this, catching his counterpart last second as the top of his hair brushed the grass below.
"Whoa…nice save." Izuku murmured breathlessly, adrenaline coursing through the teens, "Come on!" Silver flips Izuku over and they ran through the woods together, only to find the villain turning himself in.
Silver stood in utter shock, while Izuku seemed to understand what was happening. The psychic… hadn't ever seen a villain turn themselves in before. It wasn't unheard of, but like most things, it was very new and surprising to Silver. As Hound Dog turned to the two panting and sweaty students, asking if they fought the villain, Silver turned to Deku. He wasn't sure what to do, but Midoriya seemed to know how to react.
"I learned he was going play a prank on U.A.," Izuku said softly, "So yeah, we spared." Hound Dog turned to Silver, "Silver was just trying to get me back to U.A. La Brava, and Silver didn't fight. That was me and Gentle Criminal, and only briefly." …that wasn't entirely true. Silver hadn't fought, and La Brava hadn't exactly fought either, but Izuku and Gentle fought more than briefly.
Silver only nodded, trusting his counterpart blindly. Gentle said something along the lines of 'I am a mere shadow of a failed hero' -which honestly kinda crept Silver out- the villain walked away and Izuku nodded. A sign of respect. Why? Silver hadn't the slightest idea. A copy of Ectoplama told them they only had five minutes left before the show, making Silver's eyes go wide but Midoriya's go wider.
"CRAP I LEFT MY BAGS-!" Izuku shouted, beginning to run the other way, Silver catching him in his power.
"Nah uh uh! I got 'em." Silver said, pulling the bags out of, seemingly, thin air. Izuku stood in shock for a moment, "Hammer Space." Izuku awkwardly nodded, not understanding to point but decided to move past that and both teens ran fastly to their show. (A\N; it's what all Chaos Users have, aka anyone that can use the Chaos Emeralds. And it's a personal pocket dimension that Silver and Amy have the best access to. It's not shared, everyone has a different one. But it is called Hammer Space after the whole thing where Amy makes infinite Hammers in Sonic X. Amy has the best access to it cause well she uses it most frequently, and Silver does too because he can teleport objects to him so which makes using Hammer Space MUCH easier for him lol)
"Your late moi na mi!(My Friend)" Aoyama called out, Silver frowning a bit but waving away his sour mood upon seeing the Frenchie. He pushed passed the teen, calling out an apology saying he had to get onstage fast.
SilverPsychic; Sooo, how'd you all like this chapter? Yes, no, maybe? It would have come out sooner buuuuuuuuuuuut I kinda got caught up in my studies. (Summer studies, yeah.)
