Before we begin, here are a few things to keep in mind to read the story correctly:

When a character is speaking, a hyphen will be used

If the character speaks mentally, parenthesis () will be used.

That said, let's start this chapter.

Destruction was the only thing that could be seen in the city, where everything had begun. It was completely in ruins; a being with unimaginable power destroyed everything, or should we turn to him, as the creature he was... the spirit of the origin.

However...

We are not talking about the true spirit of the origin, but about an individual who managed to imitate the powers of a god... Isaac Ray Peram Westcott.

This one levitated over the ruins of the city wearing a completely black suit; at his side floated a sphere of thick darkness, while in his face was reflected an expression full of madness.

—Why...?

A woman's voice came from in front of him. There was the true spirit of Origin, Mio, who protected the few human survivors of that catastrophe with a barrier of her angel.

—Why do you want to eliminate all humans? None of them is to blame for what happened that day!

—Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, Why?! It's easy to say in your position, Deus! You only saw a part of them! Deep down, they are despicable beings who only seek their benefit without caring about the consequences of their stupid actions!

—Not everyone is the same, Isaac! Elliot taught me that there will always be bad people in the world, but we can decide whether to do good or evil!

—What's the use of being good if you're always going to end up dead?! Humans always seek to eliminate those superior to them for fear that they will rebel against them, just as they did with us...! THE WIZARDS!

All the survivors froze as they listened to the man's revelation. Those present knew all too well what happened that day.

—You see, Deus. They all know what I'm talking about; none of them cared in the least about the massacre we suffered that day!

Mio couldn't argue anything against it. Westcott was right for the first time.

—Not all of us! We are not the same as them!

Two unknown voices burst into the conversation of both spirits; Mio observed them. They were a girl and a boy, both with blue hair; at first glance, it could be seen that they were very similar to each other.

—If there is one thing we disagree on, it's this issue! We always thought that those guilty of that crime should have paid the consequences of their actions!

Both young men made it clear what they thought of the incident. Westcott looked at them and gave a creepy smile, which gave both brothers the creeps; then he raised his hand, pointing at the group of humans; it disgusted him to see such hypocritical people. He said the two of them were lying to save their pathetic lives.

—QEMETIEL!

In one swift movement, Mio stepped in front of them. What he would do next was not to his liking, but it was the only way to nip the problem in the bud.

—(I'm sorry, Isaac... but you leave me no choice).

He had tried everything to avoid this outcome, but with everything he heard, his friend was beyond saving. A few minutes ago, because of trying to convince him, he had caused the whole city to be destroyed and a significant number of people to die.

—You will not kill any more humans, Isaac! Ain!

A white light came out of his angel, impacting with the attack of the second spirit of origin; as soon as they collided, a colossal explosion was caused that enveloped everyone present and the little that was left of the city.

Unlike the world we all know, Mio watched the group of mages who summoned her and approached them curiously. It would be the first time a spirit would interact with a human.

The group of mages, composed of Elliot, Isaac, Karen and Ellen, remained alert as the spirit approached them; however, Elliot abandoned his fear and walked to engage in conversation with that unknown girl.

Once he was in front of her, Elliot proposed she accompanied them, but instead of deceiving her, he decided to be honest and tell her the truth behind his actions; he explained that they would do several studies during their stay to obtain more information about her power and origin.

Mio accepted Elliot's proposal; in her opinion, he was not a bad guy; he was sincere and kind to her, besides not treating her as if she were a monster.

And so time passed more precisely a year, they all lived in the same house, the group of magicians treated her well, and everyone had already gotten used to her company; being the most affected were Elliot and Karen, with whom she formed a lovely friendship.

Unfortunately, not everything would remain rosy; Isaac, who treated everyone kindly, especially Mio, one day stopped doing so and locked himself in the laboratory where the spirit of origin was being tested.

Elliot, Mio, Karen and Ellen, worried about his condition, tried everything to get him out of that place, but to no avail. In the end, Ellen managed to convince him with a bit of speech, and Westcott let her pass.

Days later, everything seemed to have returned to normal, Isaac was still locked up, but now with the slight difference that Ellen was supervising what he was doing, or so things were, until the day of the birth...
