Hello everyone, things have been crazy with all the posting I've been doing, 4 chapters for Dragon Prince, all 11 chapters of The Last Black and White Dragons (And I hoped you all liked my first triple crossover.), 2 chapters for Kipo, not to mention my job hunting. Things have been busy. Now here's chapter 11.
Chapter 11
The Lost Promise
First One Temple
We left off with Adora, Eevee, and Charcadet standing in front of the First One Temple, with Catra and Purrloin in the shadows of the trees behind them. Once Adora reached the base of the Fist One Temple, an underground door opened up.
Adora, Eevee, and Charcadet went into the temple, with Catra and Purloin following them in as the temple door started to close.
While Adora, Eevee, and Charcadet walked through the temple, Catra and Purloin followed as far back as they could, so they couldn't see them, and far where they could keep an eye on them.
After a bit of walking they all made it to a large room. Adora, Eevee, and Charcadet then started to look around, trying to find anything. "Hello? " Adora asked, as she stood on a platform. "I don't think there is anyone here." Eevee said to Adora, as she and Charcadet moved to Adora.
That's when Adroa pulled out her sword. "I carry the sword of She-Ra, and I've come here for help. Is anyone there?" Adora asked, as Catra and Purloin mode to the shadow around near the others.
That's when the ancient hologram turned on. "Greetings, administrator. What is your query?" The ancient hologram asked Adora. "Oh. I need your help to heal my friend. She's been cursed. I don't know how to save her. The legends say that She-Ra could heal people using this sword. How do I do that?" Adora asked the ancient hologram.
"What is your query?" The ancient hologram asked Adora, making Catra smirk. "Not this again." Adora said, before scoffing. "Now what?" Charcadet asked Adora. That's when the gem on Adora's sword sharted to shine.
"For the honor of Grayskull!" Adora said, before turning into her She-Ra form. While that was happening, Catra gave Adora a mean look. "How about now?" Adora asked the ancient hologram. "Administrator detected. Welcome, She-Ra." The ancient hologram said to everyone.
"I guess we really just need Glimer to give us the sword to solve the problems last time." Eevee said to everyone. "One more time. What can you tell me about this sword?" Adora asked the ancient hologram.
"Subject: the Sword of Protection. Classification: portable Runestone keyed exclusively to administrator She-Ra, Princess of Power." The ancient hologram said to Adora. "How can I use this sword to heal my friend?" Adora asked the ancient hologram. "Query not recognized." The ancient hologram said to Adora, making Adora groan.
"Take a breath Adora." Eevee said to Adora, making Adora sigh. "Legends say that the sword has healing powers. Is that true?" Adora asked the ancient hologram. "One of the Sword of Protection's many intended functions is to heal and restore balance." The ancient hologram said to Adora.
"How do I do that?" Adora asked the ancient hologram. "Query not recognized." The ancient hologram said to Adora. "How can I use the sword to heal people?" Adora asked the ancient hologram, talking very loud and slow.
"One of the Sword of Protection's many intended functions is to heal and restore balance." The ancient hologram said to Adora, again. This caused Adora to laugh crazy, with Eevee and Charcadet looking at her with concerned eyes.
While Adora was having a hard time with the ancient hologram, Catra and Purrloin were looking around for anything to swipe.
"Adora, try and calm down." Eevee said to Adora. Adora then took a deep breath. "Okay, is there someone else I can talk to?" Adora asked the ancient hologram. "Query not recognized." The ancient hologram said to Adora, making Adora grunt. "Okay." Adroa said to the ancient hologram, before images flashed in her head.
"Let me talk to Light Hope." Adora said to the ancient hologram. "Light who?" Charcadet asked Adora. "Light Hope." The ancient hologram said. "Light Hope. That's her name, isn't it? The woman I saw when I touched the sword for the first time. Where is she?" Adora asked the ancient hologram.
"Yes, Light Hope is here. She has been waiting for you." The ancient hologram said to Adora. "Can I talk to her?" Adora asked the ancient hologram. "You will meet her soon enough. First, you must let go." The ancient hologram said to Adora.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Adora asked the ancient hologram. "You are not ready yet. You must let go." The ancient hologram said to Adora. "Let go of what?" Adora asked the ancient hologram.
Meanwhile, with Adora, Eevee, and Charcadet, while looking at the ancient hologram, they didn't notice Catra and Purrloin had found a crystal sticking out of some lines, and took it. This tripped the security.
This caused Adora to fire a burst of energy from her sword at Catra and Purrloin, with then ducking to dodge it. "Hey! Watch it." Catra said to Adora. "Yeah. we don't need a haircut." Purrloin said to Adora. "Purrloin?" Eevee asked Purrloin. "Catra? What are you and your Pokemon doing here?" Adora asked Catra.
"Unauthorized presence detected." The ancient hologram said, as it glowed red. "Security protocol activated." The ancient hologram said to everyone, before leaving. "Not again." Adora and Eevee said at the same time, as the place turned red.
"What just happened?" Catra asked Adora. "This isn't good. You're not supposed to be in here." Adora said to Catra. That's when the place locked down. Adora then grabbed Catra, as Charcadet grabbed Purrloin, and they dragged them to a tunnel to escape.
But that's when spider bots came out of the tunnel. "What are those?" Catra asked Adora. "Also not good." Adora said to Catra, before they all ran away. But that's when all the other tunnels closed their doors.
Adora used her strength to force a door open. "Come on! We need to run." Adora said to everyone. Everyone ran through the opening, and Adora dropped the door, as she ran through it, trapping the spiders on the other side.
Everyone ran until they reached a fork in the road and stopped. But that's when the light of one of the paths turned off, and more spider bots appeared. This was a signal for everyone to run the other way.
"What's going on? Why are those things trying to kill us?" Catra asked Adora, as they ran. "They're trying to kill you. This place sees you as an invader." Adora said to Catra. "Well, can't you tell them to stop?" Catra asked Adora. "Yeah, don't you have some control of this place? Make them stop?" Purrloin asked Adora.
"No, I can't tell them to stop. Clearly, nothing in here is listening to me!" Adora said to them, as they ran into a dead end. "Now what!?" Charcadet asked everyone, as a spider bot showed up behind them. "Adora?" Catra asked Adora. "Stay back." Adora said to everyone, as she started to slash the ceiling, causing the ceiling to fall and crushed the spider bot. But this also caused the ceiling.
"What are you doing?" Catra asked Adora. That's when Adora pulled Catra close, and the Pokemon got under them. That's when Adora made her sword a shield, and protected everyone from the ruble falling on their heads.
When the rubble stopped falling, all of them were coughing after getting out of the rubble, and Adora turned back to normal. "You shouldn't be here, Catra. Those things aren't gonna stop until they get you, and since I'm protecting you, they see me as a threat, too." Adora said to Catra.
"Uh, good thing I didn't ask you to protect me." Catra said to Adora. "Wait, you know what- Okay. Why are you here anyway? How did you find this place?" Adora asked Catra. "It sent up a beam of light a mile high. It wasn't hard." Catra said to Adora, before she and Purrloin walked away.
That's when Adora, Eevee, and Charcadet got up. "Does Shadow Weaver know you're here?" Adora asked Catra. "I'd say Shadow Weaver's got bigger problems right now." Catra said to Adora, with a smirk on her face.
That's when Catra noticed Adora smiling at her. "Why are you looking at me like that? Wait. No. I know what this is about. Ugh, I knew you'd be weird about me letting you escape. I told you, it's not because I like you." Catra said to Adora.
"I mean, I didn't- I didn't say anything." Adroa said to Catra. "Anyway, what are you doing out here? Where are your new best friend? I thought you did everything together." Catra said to Adora, making Adora mad.
"Oh, my friends? The ones you kidnapped and held for ransom? The ones you let Shadow Weaver imprison and curse?" Adora said to Catra, getting into Catra's face. "Yeah, obviously. What other friends would I be talking about?" Catra asked Adora, not threatened at all by Adora.
"Come on. Those things will be back any minute, we need to get out." Adora said to Catra, before walking away. "Well, we don't need to go together. You do your wired little magic quest thing, me and Purrloin will find our own way." Catra said to Adora. "Yeah we don't need you or your young ones help." Purrloin said to everyone. "You didn't act like that when you were running away." Eevee said to Purrloin.
"Okay enough! Like it or not, there is only one way for us to go. So like it or not, we're all going that way!" Charcadet said to everyone. Everyone gave each other mean looks before they all started to walk.
They walked for a long while, walking past some waterfalls, and stopped when they reached a dead end with a fancy wall. This made Catra groan. "Another dead end." Catra said to Adora. "No, it's not." Adora said to Catra, before touching the wall. "Eternia." Adora said, making the wall open up.
This caused Catra to look at Adora. "Eh, long story." Adora said to Catra, before they all walked into the place. The area was dark, and Adora used her sword gem as a flashlight.
But this revealed nothing. "Cool, you found the Infinite Darkness Room. Have fun, Me and Purrloin are gonna find another way around." Catra said to Adora, as she tried to leave. "That might not be as easy as you think." Charcadet said to Catra.
Catra then looked at Charcadet, while Charcadet pointed in the direction they came from. That's when Catra noticed the door was gone. "Uh… Where did the door go?" Catra asked everyone. "No idea. Let's look around." Purrloin said to everyone, as they looked around.
"Wait, I think I see something. Hello? Light Hope?" Adora asked, as she walked to a red light. Everyone followed Adora, only to find the light to be a very tiny red light. "What's…?" Catra asked, before the light burst, blinding them. The light then scanned Adora and Catra.
That's when the room became an area in the Fright Zone. Adora then grabbed Catra. 'What game are you playing?" Adora asked Catra. "Whoa. whoa. I have no idea what's going on. There's no way we can be in the Fright Zone." Catra said to Adora. "SO what is this? Another Shadow Weaver mind trick?" Adora asked Catra.
"I doubt it. Now let go of me." Catra said to Adora, forcing Adora off her and walking away. "If it makes you feel better. She doesn't want anything to do with you." Purrloin said to Adora, before going after Catra. Adora then looked at the place, and noticed it flickering.
Meanwhile, Catra and Purrloin walked to a guard. "Hey, you! Guard!" Catra said to the guard, but nothing happened. "Uh, hello?" Catra said, waving a hand in the guard's face. Then Catra touched the guard's head, and it turned out the guard was a hologram. This made Catra laugh.
"Hey, Adora! This isn't real! Adora? Adora?" Catra said to Adora, not getting a response. "Catra?" Adora said, as she turned around, and saw a child Catra standing behind her. "What the?" Eevee asked, looking at kid Catra. "Adora!" Kid Catra said, as it ran through them, and to a kid Adora.
That's when regular Catra walked up, with Purrloin confused by the sight of the kid Adora and Catra. "Hye, Adora, there's a-." Catra said to Adora, but Adora shhed her. That's when Catra noticed their kids self.
"Does it look broken to you?" Kid Catra asked kid Adora. "It's not broken. You're fine." Kid Adora said to kid Catra, before kid Catra shrieked. "I'm bleeding!" Kid Catra said to kid Adora. "You're not bleeding! Why would you try and pick a fight with Octavia anyway?" Kid Adora asked kid Catra.
"I didn't do anything. All I did was exist near her. And scratched on the eyeball. And call her a dumb-face." Kid Catra said to kid Adora crossing her arms. "Catra-." Kid Adora said to kid Catra, but was interrupted by kid Catra. "What? She has a dumb face." Kid Catra said to kid Adora. "Where is she?" Kid Adora asked kid Catra, holding out a hand.
Kid Catra led kid Adora to a woman with a fish look and tentacle hair, and bandages wrapped around the right side of her head. "Hey, Octavia! You're a dumb face!" Kid Adora said to the woman.
This made Octavia angry, and she went after them. "She's coming!" Kid Catra said to kid Adora. "Run!" Kid Adora said to kid Catra, as they held hands and they ran, laughing as they did that.
That's when their present selves ran out of the room, holding hands, and laughing like they were kids. But then they stopped running and laughing, and looked at each other. "Ah, what what's they deal with you two?" Charcadet asked Adora and Catra.
That's when they noticed they were still holding hands, and Catra pulled away first. "Yeah, what was that?" Catra asked Adora. "It must have been some kind of simulation. It's tapping into our memories. Why, I have no idea." Adora said to Catra. "Maybe to remind the both of you, your friends. I may be new here. But that memory showed the two of you as good friends." Charcadet said to everyone.
"Ignore that memory. This place is just weird." Catra said to Charcadet. "How can you deal with all of this magic stuff?" Catra asked Adora. "I'm only dealing with it because I need to figure out how to heal Glimmer after someone got her cursed." Adora said to Catra.
"What do you want? An apology? You're not getting one." Catra said to Adora. "Yeah, if you want one. Force it out of Shadow Weaver, not us." Purrloin said to Adora, before she and Catra walked away. Adora gave Catra a mean look, before they all went after Catra and Purrloin.
"Can I ask you something?" Adora asked Catra, as they caught up. "Can I stop you?" Catra asked Adora, not wanting to talk to her.
That's when they realized their path became a large bottomless pit, with a fallen pillar as a bridge.
"Why did you help me escape after Shadow Weaver captured us?" Adora asked Catra. "Not this again." Catra said, before she and Purrloin started to cross the pillar, with the others following them. "It's the one thing I can't figure out. You didn't have to do that. You could've gotten caught. Why risk it? Adora asked Catra, as they crossed the pit.
But after crossing, Adora broke off a small part of the edge. "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Adora said, as she almost fell in. but before Eevee or Charcadet could react, Catra already grabbed Adora, and stopped her from falling.
"Did you really think I'd just let Shadow Weaver erase your memory?" Catra asked Adora. "I don't know. Probably." Adora said to Catra. "Yeah, well… You never did have too much faith in me." Catra said to Adora, pulling her back onto solid ground, and making Adora sigh.
"Can you blame me?" Adora asked Catra, making Catra cucked. "No really." Catra said to Adora, before walking away. Everyone then went after Catra. "I'll be honest, I don't know why you can't trust each other, that memory showed you two having each other's back." Charcadet asked Adora and Catra. "It's complicated. Let's just say growing up in the Fight Zone didn't help." Adora said to Charcadet
"It wasn't all bad growing up in the Fight Zone, was it? I mean, you still have some good memories, right?" Catra asked Adora. "Of course I do. But it doesn't change the fact the Horde is evil. I had no choice. I couldn't go back." Adora said to Catra, as they stopped walking.
Catra said nothing. "Hey, I miss you, too." Adora said to Catra, hitting Catra's arm with her shoulder, surprising Catra. "Wha…?" Catra said, before scoffing. "I don't miss you. Get over yourself." Catra said to Adora, kicking Adora away. "Not until you admit you like me." Adora said to Catra, before the two of them started to roughhouse.
The Pokemon watched this with confusion. "I know I'm new, but are they really enemies?" Charcadet asked Eevee and Purloin. "Uh, I think so?" Eevee said to Charcadet, with an uncertain tune in her voice. "Yeah, they sure fight like enemies." Purrloin said, with an uncertain tune in her voice. "But they act like friends who like to mess with each other?" Charcadet asked everyone, getting confused.
"I don't like you." Catra said as he forced a laughing Adora off her and into a pillar. But that's when the room turned into the training room. "Oh, come on." Catra said to everyone.
That's when kid Catra ran past them, and started to fight kid Adora with training staff. Their kids' sleeves were evenly matched, but then kid Catra touched kid Adora forehead, making herself laugh.
But kid Catra laughing was just the opening Adora needed for a counter attack, but it failed, and kid Catra dodged her attack, and tried a jump again. But kid Adora caught kid Catra's staff, and was able to send kid Catra flying.
"Ow!" Kid Catra said, as she crashed into the floor. This made Adora worry, and she ran to Catra. "You okay?" Kid Adora asked kid Catra, kneeling down to Kid Catra. But this was a trick, and with a swing of her staff, she forced kid Adora to the ground, and got up, ready to finish kid Adora.
But kid Adora dodged kid Catra's first attack, and blocked the second attack. This caused sparks to spark from the staff. But that's when kid Adora smiled. Confused by this, kid Catra turned her head to see kid Lonnie, ambushing her.
Kid Catra let Adora go, and blocked kid Lonnie's attack. Kid Lonnie then pulled back, letting kid Catra fall to the floor, ready for her to strike. But kid Catra blocked the attack, and jumped.
But kid Catra jumped, causing them to roll. Kid Lonnie tried to jump over Catra to get back on her feet. But kid Catra got a clean hit on kid Lonnie, removing kid Lonnie in the fight.
But a second later, kid Adora ran up, and overpowered a tired kid Catra, and finished the fight. "And there's our winner." The man running the training said, as the lights turned on.
Kid Adora helped kid Catra up, not that kid Catra liked it. "Good work, cadet. I like your focus. This win will definitely be reported back to Lord Hordak." the man said to Kid Adora, as kid Catra walked to kid Lonnie.
"What was that? Way to gang up on me." Kid Catra said to kid Lonnie. "You were fighting dirty. I was just leveling the field." Kid Lonnie said to kid Catra, making kid Catra mad. "Hey, you were awesome." Kid Adora said to kid Catra, as she walked up to kid Catra, and placed a hand on kid Catra's shoulder, getting kid Catra's attention.
"Did I hurt you?" Kid Adora asked kid Catra. "No, I'm fine. You're just lucky I let you win." Kid Catra said to kid Adora, getting kid Adora's hand off her. "Right." Kid Adora said to kid Catra, with a smirk on her face. "I'm serious. If I came in first, people might expect me to actually start doing stuff. Trust me, second place suits me just fine." Kid Catra said to kid Adora, with kid Adora smirking like 'yeah right'.
"Yeah, okay." Kid Adora said to kid Catra, with a flat tune in her voice. "Come on, let's cool down." Kid Adora said to Catra, as she started to leave. "In a minute, I'll meet you there." Kid Catra said to kid Adora. "Hey, guys, wait up!" Kid Adora said, before running after the rest of the cadets.
That's when kid Catra left for the locker room. There she took off her gear, before going to the mirror and started to cry. That's when kid Catra looked into the mirror, and saw her present self. This caused Catra to freak out a little.
"Catra, are you okay?" Purrloin asked Catra, as she appeared on a bench in the locker room. "I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm fine." Catra said to Purrloin, as she walked backwards to the mirror, which turned red.
"Unauthorized presence detected. Security protocol activated." A computer voice said from the mirror, as red eyes appeared on the mirror. That's when a spider bot came out of the mirror, and lunged at Catra, making Catra scream.
This got Adora's attention. "Catra?" Adora asked, as she turned back to her present self, Eevee and Charcadet appeared, and they ran into the locker room.
"Catra!" Adora said, as they entered the locker room, and found the spider bot wrapped Catra and Purrloin in some kind of green webbing. Then spider bot then tried to leave through the mirror, with Catra and Purrloin.
But Adora, Eevee, and Charcadet ran up to them, and grabbed them, with Adora grabbing Catra's free arm, and Eevee and Charcadet grabbing Purrloin. But Adora, Eevee, and Charcadet lost their grip, and Catra and Purrloin got dragged through the mirror.
"Catra!" Adora said, as she tried to go after Catra and Purrloin, but was stopped by the mirror turning into a window. Adora could only watch Catra get dragged away.
"Adora!" Catra muffled screamed. Paniticing, Catra started to scream and cried a little. "Forget her, we don't need them! Scratch!" Purrloin muffled said to Catra, as they used their claws to get free of the spider bot's webbing.
The spider bot tried to web then back up, but Catra and Purrloin dodged the attacks. Purrloin and Catra then ran around the spider bot, and jumped onto its head. "Fury Swipe!" Purrloin said, as she and Catra started to rip the spider bot apart, making the spider bot scream, like it was in pain.
Then Catra and Purrloin jumped off the spider bot, both having a great time, and ready for more. But that's when Adora came out of nowhere, and rammed her sword into the spider bot, at the same time some yellow stars and a burst of fire hit the open circuits. All these attacks finished the spider bot, not that Catra and Purrloin were happy about this.
"Are you two okay?" Adora asked Catra and Purrloin, as she walked up to them, and Eevee and Charcadet came running up from the other side of the spider bot. "Sand Attack!" Purrloin said, before swiping a burst of sand into Adora's eyes. "What was that for?" Adora asked, as she rubbed her eyes. "We had that." Catra said to Adora, as Adora finished rubbing her eyes.
"Sure you did. But we need to make sure we stay together." Adora said to Catra, not looking at her. "Will you stop telling me what to do?" Catra asked Adora. "Yeah, we're not damsels in distress, waiting for you to play hero and save us." Purrloin said to Adora.
"I'm sick of this stupid place. Let's just get out of here." Catra said, before walking away. "I'm with her. The sooner we're out of here. The sooner we can get away from you." Purrloin said to Adora, as she went after Catra. That's when Adora, Eevee, and Charcadet went after them.
The path they were in led them to another massive pit, with another path just a hop away. "What is your problem? I was trying to save you both?" Adora asked Catra and Purrloin, as Catra and Purrloin landed on the other path. "For the last time, I don't need you to save me. I've been doing just fine on my own. No thanks to you." Catra said to Adora. "Yeah, when we needed your help, you weren't there. So we had to do things ourselves, and
"Catra, wait." Adora said, as she grabbed Catra's hands, and got next to Catra, making Purrloin growl a little. "I'm sorry for leaving. I couldn't go back to the Fright Zone. Not after I saw what the Horde was really doing. I never wanted to leave you. You could come with me, you could join the rebellion. I know you're not a bad person, Catra. You don't belong with the Horde." Adora said to Catra.
That's when another hologram appeared around them. "Let's just get this over with." Catra said, as Kid Catra ran past them. Kid Catra was doing some flip tricks with some of the cables hanging on the ceiling, before landing on a machine. "Catra, wait up!" Kid Adora said to kid Catra, making kid Catra turn her head to see Adora trying to do a flip too, but was having a hard time.
"What's it like being the world's slowest person?" Kid Catra asked Adora. That's when kid Adora jumped, and crashed into a machine, but she wasn't' hurt. Then kid Catra started to run with kid Adora chasing her, showing that they were playing tag.
But their running around led them to Shadow Weavers room, with the door wide open. "Whoa." Kid Adora said, as they looked at the crystal inside the room, and kid Catra gasped. "It's open." Kid Catra said to kid Adora. "We're definitely not allowed in there." Kid Adora said to kid Catra. And with both of them smiling, kid Adora leads kid Catra into Shadow Weaver's room.
Everyone watched this. "You don't have to go in there." Adora said to Catra, with a worry tune in her voice. Catra said nothing and went in.
"I think you all should stay here." Adora said to the Pokemon, still with a worry tune in her voice. "You're not my partner, she is." Purrloin said to Adora, with a mean tune voice, before going after Catra. "Well go too. It sounds like this is a moment you need us." Charcadet said to Adora, before they all went after Catra and Purrloin.
Meanwhile, the kid Adora and Catra were looking at the crystal. "Whoa. Wow." Kid Catra said, as she got a closer look at the crystal. Then kid Catra touched it, and got a shock from it. "Maybe we should get out of here." Kid Adora said to kid Catra.
That's when a groaning Shadow Weaver started to come towards the room, this caused kid Adora and Catra to hide. When Shadow Weaver walked in, she was very weak. Shadow Weaver then moved to her cauldron, and took off her mask. With Kid Adora and Catra, hiding behind the crystal.
This made kid Adora gasp. Of course Shadow Weaver heard the gasp, and turned to them, her hand covering her messed up gray face, but not her strained eyes. Shadow Weaver then saw them, making kid Catra gasp. "Get out!" Shadow Weaver said to them, making kid Adora and Catra run out of the room in fear.
But they were stopped by Shadow Weaver's darkness. "Catra, you stay. What do you think you're doing here?" Shadow Weaver asked Catra, as she put on her mask, and froze Catra with red magic, and forced Catra to face her.
"We were just playing." Kid Catra said to Shadow Weaver. "Insolent child. I've come to expect such disgraceful behavior from you. But I will not allow you to drag Adora down as well." Shadow Weaver said to Kid Catra.
"Shadow Weaver, it wasn't her fault, it was my idea, too." Kid Adora said to Shadow Weaver. "You have never been anything more than a nuisance to me. I've kept you around this ling because Adora was fond of you. But if you ever do anything to jeopardize her future, I will dispose of you myself. Do you understand?" Shadow Weaver asked a very scared kid Catra.
"Please, stop." Kid Adora said to Shadow Weaver, getting in the middle of kid Catra and Shadow Weaver. This made Shadow Weaver turn off her magic, and walked away. Kid Adora walked to Shadow Weaver, to look at Shadow Weaver.
"She didn't mean to." Kid Adora said to Shadow Weaver. "Adora. You must do a better job of keeping her under control." Shadow Weaver said to kid Adora, before removing the magic keeping kid Catra in place. "Do not let something like this happen again." Shadow Weaver said to Adora, with a creepy, but loving tune in her voice. But kid Catra was still freaked out by this.
After that, kid Adora took kid Catra away. That's when Adora and Catra turned back to normal, with their Pokemon behind them. But that's when Catra forced Adora off her, with a grunt. "You always need to play the hero, don't you?" Catra asked Adora.
"I was only trying to protect you." Adora said to Catra. "From what I've seen, she doesn't need protection from you, she needs you out of her life. Everything is you, you, you. Catra's your replacement, you're better than Catra, Catra is your responsibility, everything is about you and your need to be some stupid hero." Purrloin said to Adora.
"Purrloin's right. You never protected me. Not in any way that would put you on Shadow Weaver's bad side. Admit it. You love being her favorite." Catra said to Adora, with an echo around them. Turning his head, Charcadet saw kid Adora and kid Catra having a similar conversation.
"That's not true." Adora said to Catra. "Oh, yeah? When you left, who do you think took the fall for you? Who was protecting me then?" Catra asked Adora. "You could have come with us. But you choose to go back there." Eevee said to Catra. "Eevee's right. You don't have to let Shadow Weaver treat you like that anymore. You can leave, just like I did." Adora said to Catra.
"Oh, because I need to follow you everywhere you go?" Catra said to Adora, before walking away. "I didn't mean it that way." Adora said to Catra, as everyone followed Catra. "Then what do you mean? Wiat let me guess. You want Catra to get in trouble a lot, so you can play hero and save her, is that it?" Purrloin asked Adora. "No, I just want her out of the Horde." Adora said to Purrloin.
"I don't want to leave. What don't you understand about that? I'm not afraid of Shadow Weaver anymore, I have Chloe to help me deal with her in a way you never could, and I'm a better Force Captain than you would've ever been." Catra said to Adora, stopping and faceing Adora.
"You said you didn't care about things like that." Adora said to Catra. "Well, I was lying obviously!" Catra said to Aodra. "Yeah, we can't all be perfect like you. Some of us are rejected for just existing, not like that something you'd understand, ms choice one." Purrloin said to Adora, as she and Catra walked away.
"Catra, just wait!" trying to stop Catra from leaving, but was stopped by Catra grabbing her arm. "Didn't you listen to Purrloin? Why do you think I gave the sword back to you in the Fright Zone? I didn't want you to come back, Adora!" Catra said to Adora, with Adora's eyes widening with sadness. Then Catra let go of Adora, and she and Purrloin walked away.
But before Adora, Eevee, and Charcadet could do anything, the place flickered, and they saw a large amount of spider bot eyes staring at them. Adora pulled out her sword. "For the honor of-" Adora said, but was interrupted by the spider shooting webbing at her, knocking the sword out of Adora's hands.
"Swift." Eevee said, as she fired yellow stars at the spider bots, hitting a couple of the spider bots in their eyes and into their head circuits, finishing them.
"Ember." Charcadet said, as he fired a burst of fire into a spider bot's mouth, killing it, and setting its head on fire.
Meanwhile, Catra was running through the place, with the Purrloin following her, and with the holograms from earlier reappearing around them and repeating their worlds. "Let me out of here!" Catra said, before she got onto her knees, and freaked out.
"Hey, hey, hey, we'll get out of this." Purrloin said to Catra, moving to put a paw on Catra's hand. That's when they heard crying. They turned their heads to see they were in the barracks, and kid Catra was crying and hiding under a blanket.
That's when kid Adora walked into the room, and walked past Catra and Purrloin to kid Catra. Kid Catra hisses at kid Adora, as kid Adora removed the blanket. "Catra, it's okay. It's just me." Kid Adora said to kid Catra, before sitting next to her.
"It doesn't matter what they do to us. You know? You look out for me, I look out for you. Nothing really bad can happen as long as we have each other." Kid Adora said to Kid Catra.
"You promise?" Both Catra and kid Catra asked kid Adora at the same time. "I promise." Kid Adora said to kid Catra, before they hugged. "Come on. Let's go back out." Kid Adora said to kid Catra, as they started to leave.
But as they left, kid Catra stopped and looked at present Catra, for a few seconds in silence before leaving. That's when everything went black.
Back with Adora, Eevee, and Charcadet, they were fighting the spider bots, with Adora breaking eyes and ripping off legs.
"Swift!" Eevee said, as she fired yellow stars at the spider bots. But the spider bots were ready for this attack, and blocked the stars from hitting anything important.
"Fire Spin." Charcadet said, as he tried to trap a couple of spider bots in a spiral of fire. But the spider bots slammed one of their legs into the ground, breaking the fire spin around them, and freeing them.
That's when they noticed the sword and ran to it. "Ember." Charcadet said, as he buried the webbing. But before Adora could grab it, a spider bot fired a webbing, and trapped Adora, Eevee, and Charcadet in that webbing. Then the spider bot held them over a pit.
"Stop it. I'm not your enemy. Light Hope… Just let me talk to Light Hope!" Adora said to the spider bots, as she broke free of the spider bot. But this just caused them to fall, with Adora using some of the webbing like a rope, and Eevee and Charcadet still webbed to Adora's waist.
"Out of curiosity, did you think that threw?" Charcadet asked Adora, as the spider bots got ready to attack them.
Then they heard some smashing, and the spider bots left. That's when they heard Catra and Purrloin. "Catra?" Adora asked, with a hopeful voice. That's when Catra and Purrloin walked to the edge, with the sword in Catra's hand.
"Hey, Adora." Catra asked Adora. "How's it hanging?" Purrloin asked Adora. "Catra, help me. Please." Adora said to Catra. "This thing wouldn't work for me if I tired, would it? It only works for you. Then again, you're special. That's what Shadow Weaver always said." Catra said Adora, holding up the sword.
"She doesn't look so special from up here." Purrloin said to Catra, before laughing at Adora. "I don't like where this is going." Eevee said to everyone. "Me neither." Charcadet said to Eevee.
"Catra, what are you doing?" Adora asked Catra. "Ah, you know, it all makes sense now. You've always been the one holding me back. You wanted me to think I needed you. You wanted me to feel weak. Every hero needs a sidekick, right?" Catra asked Adora.
"Catra, no, that's not how it was." Adora said to Catra. "How can we believe what you say, when you promised that you look out for her, she looks out for you. Nothing really bad can happen as long as we have each other, and then what do you do, run away to play the hero you always wanted to be, leaving Catra to deal with the consequences of your choice." Purrloin said to Adora, surprising Adora, Eevee, and Charcadet.
"Adora, is what she's saying true? Did you really promise that?" Charcadet asked Adora. "Yes. but I never meant to break it." Adora said to Charcadet, as Catra started to laugh, and the place started to turn black.
"The sad thing is, I've spent all this time hoping you'd come back to the Horde, when really you leaving was the best thing that ever happened to me. I am so much stronger than anyone ever thought. Well, maybe not Chloe, I think she might know how strong I can be without you around." Catra said to Adora, before she started to cut the webbing, making Adora, Eevee, and Charcadet fall a little.
"I wonder what I could've been if I'd gotten rid of you sooner." Catra said to Adora, before finishing cutting the webbing. Adora, Eevee, and Charcadet screamed a little, as they fell, but Adora grabbed a rock that was sticking out with one hand and held on.
"Eevee, Charcadet, can you two do something?" Adora asked them. "At the moment, if we attack, we'll cut our webbing and fall into the pit." Charcadet said to Adora.
"I am sorry. I never meant to make you feel like you were second best. Please don't do this." Adora said to Catra. "Like you ever cared about her any more than your pet." Purrloin said to Adora, as Catra tossed the sword into the pit. "Bye, Adora. I really am going to miss you." Catra said to Adora, before she and Purrloin started to leave.
"Catra. Catra, no!" Adora said to Catra, as she got all teary eyes. That's when everything started to become black around them.
But that's when a purple hologram woman appeared in front of Adora, wearing a hood over her bread, a cap of cricket lines, and a black body with violet 1s and 0s.
"Eevee, Charcadet, do you see her?" Adora asked Eevee and Charcadet. "See what? I see if black." Eevee said to Adora. "Yeah. No one's there." Charcadet said to Adora.
"Adora. You must let go." the woman said to Adora. "Eevee, Charcadet, I'm sorry." Adora said to Eevee, and Charcadet. "Wait! What are you…?!" Charcadet asked Adora, but stopped to scream as loud as he and Eevee could, after Adora let go of the rock, and they fell into the pit.
Fright Zone
Back in the Fight Zone, Chloe, Scorpia, and all of their Pokemon were watching Entrapta work on Emily. "Ah. And then there's the day Catra and I were on a boat together. Did I ever tell you about that?" Scorpia asked Entrapta. "I'm pretty sure you did." Entrapta said to Scorpia. "Like 50 times." Chloe said to Scorpia. "In her defense, she has two adventures with Catra, so she doesn't have a lot of options." Stufful said to everyone.
"But why do you keep doing that?" Chloe asked Scorpia. "I think that's when we really made our connection, you know? Have you ever met someone and you just instantly click?" Scorpia asked Chloe, as Catra and Purrloin finally came back to the Fright Zone, and walked into the room, not that anyone noticed them walking in.
"I don't think Catra sees it that way. Besides, it's not easy to just look at someone and click in an instance." Chloe said to Scorpia. "I have. It was like that with Emily." Entrapta said to Scorpia, as Catra and Purrloin started to walk towards their room.
But Scorpia noticed Catra and Purrloin, and got in front of their path. "What happened to you? You're filthy. Are you okay? Do you need first aid? Do you need to be nursed tenderly back to health?" Scorpia asked Catra, as she got into Catra's face.
"Scorpia, reel it in. or do you want Catra to give us all another lecture on personal space?" Chloe asked Scorpia, pulling Scorpia's ear, forcing her to back up from Catra. "So how'd it go? Did you find it?" Entrapta asked Catra, getting into Catra's face.
"Uh, why is the princess loose?" Catra asked everyone. "You think we let her. We tried everything, she keeps getting out of everything we put her in. So we just gave up trying to trap her." Chloe said to Catra, making Catra groan.
"Seriously, though, did you find it?" Entrapta asked Catra. "We got a little something." Purrloin said to Entrapta, as Catra tossed Entrapta the crystal they stole. "An intact data crystal? I have never seen one so perfectly preserved. This could be a game-changer. Who knows what secrets it could contain?" Entrapta said to everyone, with sparkles in her eyes.
"Man, I knew Catra could do it. It's like I was telling you. She is the best friend ever." Scorpia said to Entrapta, as she and Etrapta danced together, and Chloe just rolled her eyes at them. That's when Catra and Purrloin started to leave, but froze when Scorpia said best friends.
"Just keep it down. I'm going to bed." Catra to everyone, as she and Purrloin left the room, and closed the door behind them.
