PREVIOUSLY ON THE GREAT RABBIT DETECTIVE...

Judy hopped to the door and opened it to a manticore.

"The curse is about to be fulfilled" said Corey. "And from inside, somethin' is gonna emerge and start spreadin' chaos everywhere and harm everyone."

Wilde asked fearfully "What does this have to do with you and Dastardly, Carrots?" he asked. "How do you guys know this bear-snake lady?"

In a flashback, a bear sized black dog appeared! It looked like a hound of Baskerville, but more wolf than dog. It had black fur with a scarred eye and a back filled with arrows and bullet holes.

Eyes and Ears flashed flashlights (or torches) and all was the black dog, laying dead and Dastardly held a trembling Muttley in his arms.

Judy could tell that Dastardly was limping... and he was hiding a gash on his stomach.

"So the black dog was real, okay, great" Wilde said nervous but sarcastically. "But what about the curse?"

Dastardly pulled his shirt up to reveal the mark of the black dog spreading from underneath the bandage.

Everyone gasped on horror.

Dastardly took Mrs. Otterton's empty tray and saw his head embellished with monstrous ears. He screamed and dropped the tray.

Oh, dear. What have I done? Judy thought to herself.

Judy continued to stare in shock and horror as her former rival sniffled sadly.

"Oh, how could I have done this?" Dastardly growled, angry at himself. "If I haven't been so stupid."

The rabbit sensed the anguish in Dastardly's voice. She knew he wouldn't be human if he becomes a black dog.

"I promise we'll think of something" Judy spoke gently as she pulled the handkerchief from Dastardly's pocket.

Taking it from Judy, Dastardly blew into the handkerchief.

"Oh, Judy, what am I going to do?" Dastardly sobbed. "I'm scared. I don't want to be a giant, blood thirsty dog! I'll have to go into the woods and..."

He then gasped in realization. He couldn't go into the woods, even as a monster, Dastardly would find his way back to London.

"No, that's the worst thing I could ever do!"

Dastardly buried his face to the floor, continuing to cry. Muttley approached his master, nudging his nose against his face.

"We both have done wicked deeds, Muttley and I" Dastardly sniffled, "but the worse might happen is what this curse will make me do."

"It's okay, Dick" she said to him. "I know you're scared, but don't worry. Wilde and I will find something to cure you before sunset."

"I'm not worried" Dastardly replied. "But that's not- -"

They were cut off when Dastardly started to feel his body starting to change, slowly and painfully. Black fur started to sprout from the wound and all over his back.

His hands stretched and claws emerged from the gloves.

"Oh, no, it's night already!" cried Dastardly. "Someone, please do something!"

Mrs. Otterton ran off into another room while the Manticore, Wilde, Muttley and Blazey watched in horror!

Judy bounced a foot away when two razor sharp teeth emerged from Dastardly's mouth as his face lengthened into a muzzle.

The group had no choice but to watch this hideous transformation.

Dastardly moaned as his spine was forced into a canine position, followed by a tail growing out and his legs stretched and furry hind legs emerged from his boots, breaking them.

Judy was horrified but desperate to reach to Dastardly before he lost control of himself.

She took a cautious step. The transformed Dastardly lifted his head up. He had become a black dog like the one that attack him and Muttley all those years ago.

He tried to call out to Judy but dog whines came from his throat.

"Dick, please listen" Judy pleaded. "It's me, Judy. Please... Don't let it control you."

Dastardly then snarled savagely at Judy, ready to attack.

"Carrots!" Wilde cried.

The fox blocked Judy from Dastardly's view, growling but the black dog swiped Wilde away and loomed over Judy, ready for the kill.

With one growl, Dastardly suddenly repeatedly licked Judy's face!

"Thank heavens" the Manticore sighed in relief. "Must have had wolfsbane on him for fifteen years."

This made Judy realize something.

"Of course!" Judy exclaimed excitedly.

"That must mean on that night when Dastardly tripped, he and Muttley landed near a flower bed of wolfsbane. The black dog curse isn't strong on him. It wasn't until after a day from our brawl in Big Ben took place that it decided to emerge. But his human mind and conscious are clear as day."

Blazey and Muttley started to play with Dastardly, barking happily and playing like they were on a doggy playdate, much to Dastardly's dismay.

"Yeah, but that won't last long" warned the Manticore. "In three days time, the transformation will take full control of Dastardly's mind permanently and nothing can stop him."

"But how are we gonna change him back?" Wilde asked. "We can't have two dogs and one dragon staying here. Mrs. Otterton will have a fit."

A voice suddenly shouted from other room that made the dogs jump in surprise.

"DON'T TALK ABOUT ME LIKE I'M NOT HERE!"

Muttley pointed at the door as if to say "how does she do that?" and looked at Blazey with confusion.

"Well..." said the Manticore, "you could have him eat the toes of a bad baby who won't go to sleep when he is told."

Judy and Wilde couldn't believe what they heard, even Dastardly and Muttley whined with confusion.

"WHAT?!"

"Eat the toes of a bad baby who won't go to sleep when he is told" The Manticore repeated.

"All of them?" squeaked Wilde.

"All of them even the piggy toes" cackled the Manticore.

Judy didn't like what she was hearing and Wilde hid behind her.

Then, the Manticore roared with laughter.

"I'm kidding! Just kidding! That wouldn't work that way anyhow."

Dastardly sighed in relief and rolled his eyes, he didn't want to eat anybody's toes on his account.

Judy thought it over, then she removed a book off the shelf and searched through the pages.

"What is it, Carrots?" asked Wilde.

"There was a book I read about plants in science class" replied the rabbit detective.

Flipping through the pages of the book, Judy came across page containing information of Epiphyllum oxypetalum.

"Observe, doctor" Judy pointed out. "This is a Dutchman's pipe cactus. A species of one of the most cultivated species in its genus. They rarely bloom only at night and wilt before dawn. Yet they only grow in southern Mexico, South America and southeast Asia."

She then checked her maps for the closet country.

"Uh-oh" mumbled Judy. "Unfortunately, these countries are far from here and the only closet place we can get to is Asia by air or by foot, but it could take forever. And if we don't cure Dastardly in three days, we'll lose him forever."

That night, Judy had placed her deerskin cap on, then turned to Wilde, Blazey and the Manticore. They were restarting the flying contraption Judy, Wilde and Elinor made when they had to rescue Merida. They were planning to use it to Asia and back in one day.

Soon, Judy, Wilde and Blazey steered the flying machine up into the air and flew along with the Manticore.

It was daybreak when they arrived in the southeast of Asia. Actually it was the afternoon in Asia while it was still dark in London, considering the difference of time in the world.

Judy and Wilde had Blazey sniff out a trail. However, something was watching them in the shadows.

"Any luck?" asked the Manticore.

Wilde shook his head. "Not yet, Blazey keeps finding trails of unusual footprints."

Curious, Judy pulled out her magnifying glass and examined the muddy footprint.

"Hmm, it seems like we're not alone" she said to Wilde.

Soon, Blazey stopped and pointed in the direction of a small garden, where a shadowy dog-like figure stood.

Judy quickly shined her flashlight on.

"MUTTLEY?!" Judy and Wilde exclaimed at the same time.

The dog snickered. He had pranked Judy with the muddy footprints.

"Muttley, I told you you can't come with us" Judy scolded. "Dastardly will hear about this!"

Hearing this, Muttley sat on a log stump and grumbled "Rasm frasm rusted ry killjoy."

The Manticore shook her head. "No time for that now, we must find those flowers at once."

"Okay" Judy said with a heavy sigh. "It doesn't hurt to another dog in case of emergencies."

"Wait a minute" Wilde realized. "If Muttley's here, who's helping Mrs. Otterton?"

Suddenly, a nearby pay phone rang and Wilde answered.

"Hello?"

"I'll be fine, Mr. Wilde" said Mrs. Otterton on the other line. "I know what I'm doing."

After the fox hung up, Wilde and Muttley stared at Judy with wide eyes.

"How does she do that?" they said all together.

Back at Judy's flat, Mrs. Otterton handed Dastardly a cup of tea.

Dastardly was normal again, excluding his ears. But since he didn't have extra clothing since Judy rescued him, he was nude. And despite his attempts to cover himself or sitting by the fireplace, he was freezing. (Nothing inappropriate was shown)

Mrs. Otterton wrapped a large, warm blanket around him, from his bulking shoulders to his feet.

"I still can't believe that flatulent fleabag left with Judy" he said, referring to Muttley.

Mrs. Otterton could tell Dastardly was upset. He may not admit it, but Dastardly did care for Muttley. She remembered from Judy's tale that Dastardly has had Muttley since he was a puppy and he didn't want to lose his only friend in the world.

The otter climbed up on the sofa and gently placed a webbed paw on Dastardly's chin.

"I'm sure Muttley will be fine" she cooed. "Knowing Judy, she would give up her life for a friend like you. Love always comes with sacrifice, Dick Dastardly. Even if you won't admit it to anyone else."

Dastardly was speechless for a moment, he couldn't believe it. It felt like Mrs. Otterton could see through his soul.

"It will alright in the end" Mrs. Otterton said with a hopeful smile. "You'll see."

Feeling better, Dastardly smiled a little.

Back in Asia, the group searched everywhere for the flowers, but no luck at all and better yet dusk was approaching.

Muttley and Blazey yawned as their legs were getting tired.

"Carrots" moaned Wilde. "We've been searching all day and I'm exhausted. How about we get some rest?"

"I don't see why not" Judy nodded. "The night flowers do bloom for one night. Once they do around eleven o'clock sharp, we'll take a few with us back to London before sunset there at seven-ish."

But just as they sat down, Judy and her friends soon fell fast asleep.

That night as our heroes slept, the night flowers blossomed, its golden petals glowed in the moonlight.

Judy and Muttley stirred awake and their jaws dropped in surprise.

"The night flowers have blossomed" Judy smiled.

Muttley then barked loudly and excitedly, waking up Wilde, Blazey and the Manticore. They gasped in awe.

They started collecting as much flowers they needed.

Back in London, Judy, Wilde, Blazey and Muttley have returned to Baker Street.

"It's still three minutes before seven" Judy checked. "If we hurry, maybe we can break the curse before the second transformation."

The trio entered the flat with Blazey close behind.

"Dastardly! We found them!" called Wilde.

"We've got the antidote!" Judy exclaimed excitedly. "We can use them to break the cur- -"

The group stopped when they saw Dastardly (who was still wearing the blanket over himself) strapped to the chair.

Muttley tried to break them, but the chains were strong.

"Judy!" cried Dastardly. "It's the other black dog! He's back!"

Wilde frowned while Judy's eyes widen in shock.

"Oh, no. Then, that means...?" she realized in shock.

At that moment, she and Wilde sensed that something or at least someone was behind them.

"Hello, Hopps" purred a voice that made Wilde and Muttley's spines shiver.

Judy turned with terrified eyes, coming face to face with...

"Sylvester Sneekly!"

"I knew you'd figure it out sooner or later" he chuckled. "I've come to get my dog back."

"Leave Dastardly and Muttley alone" Judy warned. "They have nothing to do with it, I'm the one you want. We saw your body, you were dead. How did you escape?"

"Oh, let's just say that my skills as a black dog has finally paid off. And now, I'm going to do what I should done fifteen years ago."

Just as he said that, he suddenly snagged Muttley by the collar.

"Muttley!" Dastardly cried.

The Manticore suddenly took flight and swooped up Muttley, dropping him into Dastardly's chained arms.

"Muttley, are you alright?" Dastardly asked worriedly.

"Uh-huh" Muttley grunted in reply.

Sneekly was enraged and dropped the gun to the ground.

"I don't need a weapon to chase you animals" he snarled. "Give me those flowers!"

Judy, however, had a plan and threw the night flowers to Wilde.

"Keep away!" she called out.

Wilde caught the flowers and ran toward the stairs, but Sneekly blocked the path.

Yelping, Wilde threw the flowers to Muttley, who threw them to Blazey, who threw them to the Manticore, who threw them to Mrs. Otterton.

The otter immediately dashed back into the kitchen, locking the door so the villain wouldn't follow her in.

Sneekly immediately dove for the door, but Muttley held Blazey like a machine gun, shooting fireballs at him, trapping him in a ring of fire.

"ENOUGH WITH THIS NONSENSE!" bellowed Sneekly, kicking Muttley away.

Dastardly gasped and shock and tried to break the chains.

"Should I have destroyed the flowers, I would have showed you the power of the curse" Sneekly said to Dastardly.

"I will never lose my great criminal brain to this inflicted madness!" Dastardly snapped angrily.

"You maybe a great criminal, Dick Dastardly" Sneekly snapped back as he started to transform into the black dog, "but deep down you must realize you must LET THE MONSTER RUN FREE!"

After the transformation, Sneekly's eyes immediately changed to pitch black, indicating the curse had complete control of him.

Dastardly tried to fight the chains again, but he started to transform too! He panicked at the sight of his hands changing into claws, but then he remembered something important. He remembered that this was his second transformation and he still could control himself, unlike Sneekly who had lost control many years ago.

Sneekly was about to eat Judy when Muttley bit into the monster's leg. The black dog roared with pain and kicked Muttley away, injuring him.

Seeing this, the half transformed Dastardly growled and broke free from the chains.

Judy knew what this meant. There would be blood on the carpet rugs.

"Everyone, out!" she ordered. "Out of the room!"

Wilde, Blazey and the Manticore ran into another room as Dastardly finished his transformation and swatted Sneekly away from Muttley.

The two barked demonically at each other and began to fight. Judy watched from behind her chair, worried for Dastardly and Muttley.

Sneekly seemed like he was winning as he was stronger than Dastardly, he was trying to tear Dastardly's back. Then, he flung Dastardly through the window, shattering it and out in the street where it was raining.

Snarling, Sneekly was about to finish Dastardly when Muttley suddenly jumped onto Sneekly and clawed him in the face before running off again.

Then, Dastardly growled at Sneekly with a death glare as if to say 'get out', then returned to the flat and excitedly nuzzled Muttley.

"Don't worry, old friend" Judy reassured Dastardly, "we still have - -"

She was interrupted when Muttley leapt at Sneekly, who was about to claw Dastardly from behind.

The small mutt chewed Sneekly's legs until the evil black dog swat him away and bit him back, making him howl in pain.

Judy then pulled a tranquilizer needle from her coat pocket.

Dastardly couldn't take it and blocked Muttley from Sneekly's view and cornered Sneekly into a lamppost, allowing Judy to give him the tranquilizer.

The drug was injected and Sneekly fell into a deep sleep.

Afterwards, Mrs. Otterton called animal control to pick up Sneekly to be put down (in jail) for his crimes. Dastardly, though, was injured from the fight and could barely walk to the flat, Judy and Muttley had to help him get to the flat.

"He'll live" Wilde said, examining the wounds. "But we better heal him from the curse."

Tired and in pain, Dastardly couldn't eat the night flowers. Judy then decided to place them on the mark where Sneekly clawed him from the first encounter,

Muttley whined nervously and batted Dastardly with his paw, making his master weakly nuzzle him, then laid his head down and fell asleep as Judy placed the flowers on the black dog mark on Dastardly.

It took a moment, but the night flowers (almost) magically healed Dastardly, changing him back to human.

Muttley gently nudged Dastardly awake and panted excitedly. Dastardly checked all over his body.

"Oh, I can't believe it!" Dastardly cried with joy, "I'm back!"

He then picked up Muttley and swung him around, laughing.

Blazey barked and flew around, the Manticore roared with joy.

After their victory dance, Mrs. Otterton helped Dastardly wrap a blanket around his naked body, then he looked at Judy with a grateful smile.

"Judy..." he began. "I... I don't know what to say, I- - Thank you."

The rabbit nodded in response, happy to see her old rival free from the curse. She then hugged Dastardly.

"It's so good to have you back, old friend" Judy said. "And to make up for our battle... I have a little surprise for you."

Dastardly and Muttley stared at each other with wide eyes and nervous smiles.

Later the next day, Judy and Wilde had set up a small, non polluting steampunk like cottage, made from the wreckage of the Mean Machine and filled with the stuff from Dastardly's lair in the sewers.

"Our stuff..." Dastardly gaped in awe. "And you and Dr. Wilde did this behind our backs?!"

"Hey, we weren't gonna let you two live in the sewer..." Judy said with a playful smirk. "... as our new members."

Dastardly gasped upon hearing this.

Judy is giving us a chance and she's making us members of this strange group? Dastardly thought to himself.

Overjoyed, Dastardly cheered and he and Muttley started to get settled in their new home.

"Now that's the Dick Dastardly I know" Judy said to herself.
