Welcome back to A Song of Spiders and Dragons! Last time, our terrific trio took a little break after Doctor Octavius got shut down by working on Harry Osborn's research stations. But after getting back in the game, Yuri called to let the group know that Shocker was released by a guard seemingly in a trance. The terrific trio then agreed that MJ was probably right, something big is going on here. So will they stop Shocker again? Read on to discover...

(Our tale resumes as Shocker exits the vault from the bank, carrying bags of money just as Spyro, Cynder and Spider-Man enter the scene)

Spider-Man: Herman. What is this? A new record for shortest time to recidivate? (Shoots the bags of money out of his hand with his webs) We're not mad, really, we're just disappointed in you.

(With that taken care of, Spyro and Cynder grab hold of the web streams to secure Shocker in place while Spider-Man slings into him, knocking him into the back wall of the vault. But eventually, Shocker manages to sling Spider-Man into the ceiling but that's when Spyro and Cynder swoop in, shutting the vault door behind them)

Spyro: You're not going anywhere Shocker.

Cynder: At least not until we play a friendly game of "What the hell is going on here?".

Shocker: I told you before, I've already said too much!

Spider-Man: (Dodging a shockwave punch) Okay, looks like he's not up for our game. How about thumb wrestling? (Dodges another punch) Okay, face punch is fun too.

(With that, Spider-Man punches Shocker in the face, only to barely make a dent against his helmet and ending up getting punched through the vault door as Spyro and Cynder rush to his aid.)

Spider-Man: (To Shocker) Did you go fully digital on your gauntlets already? If so, Mazel Tov.

Shocker: Have it your way, kid. You want to fight? THEN LET'S FIGHT!

(As Shocker starts firing off shockwaves, the trio splits up trying to dodge the blows)

Spyro: Let's get this done with quick. I'd love to talk shop with this guy.

(And while dodging shockwaves, Spider-Man of course has to get his quips in at Shocker, behind his shockwave shield.)

Spider-Man: Hey, remember our first fight? What was that, nearly a decade ago now? The three of us, young and stupid. You, just stupid.

Shocker: (Throwing a shockwave that actually hits Spider-Man) YOU TALK TOO MUCH!

Spider-Man: I call that a matter of opinion. Is there really a standard metric for how much one should talk?

Cynder: Spidey, I'm starting to agree with Herman here. We've got work to do!

(At this point, Shocker has dropped his shield, and Cynder, not wasting a second, jumps in to do some real damage. And after distracting him, Spider-Man prepares a pair of web lines, and slingshots Spyro straight into Shocker before Spider-Man himself jumps onto Shocker's back and webs his gauntlets to his shoulders before hoisting him to the ceiling)

Spider-Man: You know, given how few people use actual banks anymore, I'm surprised there was actual cash here for you to steal! If you really want to rob a bank, I suggest day trading.

(Shocker is clearly not giving up, as he frees his gauntlets and then releases a massive shockwave when he hits the ground)

Shocker: If you don't get out of my way, I'm a dead man!

Cynder: And there you go again, Shocker. We all know you're working for someone. If you just tell us who it is, we may be able to cut you a deal with the DA's office.

Shocker: If I talk, I'm dead. That much they made VERY clear!

Spyro: Herman, you're starting to scare me a bit. It's really not like you to be afraid of people.

Shocker: I'm not even sure they are people! Could be anything under those masks!

Cynder: Wait, did you just say masks?

Spyro: He just said masks!

Spider-Man: Well this is taking an interesting turn. What'd these masked guys want the money for?

Shocker: Don't know, don't want to, and I don't care. As soon as this job's done, I'm out of here!

Cynder: Herman, we can help you, just give us the chance!

Shocker: If I do, they'll just find the chance to kill me!

(At this point, everybody's noticed that the support pillars for the giant globe mural on the roof are broken. So thinking quickly, Spider-Man pulls the pillars down, dropping the globe mural on Shocker just as he tries to escape.)

Spider-Man: Sorry Herman. You brought this on yourself. Literally.

Spyro: Wait a second, Shocker just said he was working with masked guys?

Cynder: Are you guys thinking what I'm thinking?

Spider-Man: Totally. His partners are the Demons. They've got to be.

Spyro: MJ was definitely right.

Cynder: There's definitely something bigger going on here.

(And as the two dragons help Shocker out from under the mural to get him into custody, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good spot to end for today. So, it looks like Shocker's working with the Demons, and he's terrified of them. But what for? What is the Demons' plan, and how is Shocker stealing all this money involved? Again, those who have played the games, don't spoil it here. But for now, it's looking like MJ's instincts were dead on. Now our terrific trio has to start piecing the puzzle together. And they don't really have a lot of intel to do it with. What new revelations will what intel they have bring? Tune in next time as we start finding out! Same time... same channel!
