Welcome back to A Song Of Spiders And Dragons. Last time, the quartet of Spyro, Cynder, Spider-Man, and Jefferson Davis made their way through a caved in tunnel heading towards the vault Kingpin's men were guarding. But the Demons beat them there, though they haven't left yet. Then, just as they could, our heroes struck. Jefferson Davis stayed behind to apprehend those left behind and secure the scene, while the rest took off in pursuit of the fleeing truck. Will they be able to stop the convoy of Demons? Read on to discover...

(The story picks up right in the heat of the moment. A truck full of weapons being driven by literal Demons is careening down the street, and right behind it: Spyro, Cynder, and Spider-Man)

Spider-Man: If we somehow lose two trucks full of gunmen in one night, it's probably time for us to hang up the crime-fighting schtick.

Cynder: We're not going to lose them.

Spyro: So quit yapping and start swinging!

(A few minutes go by of the chase, with Spyro and Cynder moving civilians out of the crazy drivers' way with Spider-Man working to stop the truck in the meanwhile. But after a few minutes of this, the Demons start firing back with their strange energy. Meanwhile, the trio's joint phone line goes off, and it's Jefferson Davis calling)

Spyro: What's the situation Jeff?

Jefferson Davis: Few stragglers back at the yard, I'm held up here! How're things on your end?

Cynder: Pretty typical night so far, chasing a giant moving van full of weapons and explosives across Hell's Kitchen! Geez, where's Daredevil when you need him!?

Spider-Man: Not sure how much help he'd be. These guys are all over the road. If we don't stop them soon, they're going to kill someone.

Jefferson Davis: I'm doing all I can to catch up, but you guys might be on your own!

Spider-Man: Stay safe out there, Jeff. Don't do anything crazy.

Jefferson Davis: I'm leaving that to you three.

(With that, Jefferson Davis hangs up to finish up at the shipping yard, the Demons escalate their efforts not to get caught, including breaking out the heavy artillery)

Spyro: (Noticing this) OH SHIT, THEY'VE GOT A ROCKET LAUNCHER!

(Just as Spyro makes this pronouncement, the Demons fire off a shot directly at him, which Cynder manages to save him from, but knocking both of them out of the sky.)

Spider-Man: Spyro! Cynder! Are you okay?!

Cynder: A little off balance but we'll be alright. We'll catch up, you go in and stop that truck!

Spider-Man: Right. Time to end this absurdity.

(With one web sling Spider-Man makes it to the top of the truck, only to be confronted by the Demons in the back)

Spider-Man: Hey guys, room for one more in there?

(A little quick maneuvering later and Spider-Man has the two weapon toting Demons in the back cleared out)

Spider-Man: (As he clears the last Demon out of the back) I think this is your stop!

(With the Demons shooting out the back taken care of, Spider-Man makes his way to the front of the truck, and after disarming the driver finds themselves in a head on collision with a fuel tanker truck. As the two vehicles crash, Spider-Man attempts to web sling onto the back of the fuel truck, but finds his web-shooters are dry)

Spider-Man: What a time to run out of web fluid!

(But just as it looks like Spider-Man is toast, two figures fly in, as Spyro and Cynder catch up in time to save their web-slinging compatriot, with Cynder tossing him a spare cartridge of web-fluid, allowing Spider-Man to quick change the cartridge and snag the back of the tanker truck just as it crashes into the embankment over a set of tracks.)

Spider-Man: That was way too close.

Spyro: (Hearing something) Don't look now, but the 3 just picked the worst time to be on time!

(Not wasting a moment, Spider-Man starts pulling the tanker truck up, and with some help from the two dragons, the tracks are cleared just in time for the train to cross. But just as the three are pulling, the Demons' truck returns, with the driver deadset on rendering our terrific trio deceased. But just at the last minute, an NYPD squad car drives right past them and hurls itself into the Demons' truck, pinning it against the wall while flipping onto it's roof. But the Demon in the truck isn't done yet, as he gets out with an AK-47 aimed right at Spider-Man and company, but just then, the door to the police car opens up, and out slides Jefferson Davis, engaging the Demon and successfully disarming him with a punch to the face. Just as the two collapse, the Demon from the punch and Jefferson DAvis from exhaustion, the tanker truck is stabilized, and our terrific trio runs in to make sure their friend is alright as a crowd of civilians gathers around applauding the quartet's heroics.)

Jefferson Davis: So much for leaving the crazy stuff to you three.

Cynder: Hey, the three of us wouldn't be standing if not for you. (To the crowd) Let's hear it for Officer Jefferson Davis, folks!

(And as the emergency services and news media pull up to cover the scene, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good spot to conclude for now. One crazy action chapter to make up for a few of slow story moments. And it looks like the Demons have been stopped, with some help from Jefferson Davis. Definitely going above and beyond the call of duty there. So, what's going to happen after this crazy night?
