As the seasons changed and the flowers grew, so did the Hamato Family. They all still missed Yumi dearly but have moved forward. Yuuta didn't work as much as he used to anymore. Tadashi has moved in with his brother so he wouldn't have to feel so alone. Atsuko finally felt like he could accept that Yumi was gone. Yoshi's anger had died down a little and now he was focused on his role as leader. Masato stopped with his unnecessary studies. As for Saki, the young boy still distanced himself from the family, but he was now talking to them again, though the anger of them abandoning him in a time of need still held fresh.
...
At the Hamato household,
Yoshi was grumbling as he stormed into his home, only to be stopped by his uncle, Tadashi who happened to be passing by. "Hold on there, Yoshi." With a frustrated sigh, Yoshi turned to face his uncle and Tadashi's eyes widened slightly to see bruises on Yoshi's face. "Another fight?" He asked, though he already knew the answer. Yoshi, however, played dumb. "No."
"You have bruises on your face."
"I fell."
Tadashi rolled his eyes at the dumb lie. "Come. Let me patch you up before your father sees."
"I'm fine." Yoshi insisted and tried to leave again but Tadashi grabbed his arm, and pulled him into the kitchen, Yoshi letting out a dramatic groan in protest. Tadashi had Yoshi sit at the table as he grabbed rubbing alcohol and started tabbing it on his cheek, making him flinch and let out a hiss. "Did you have a good reason at least or did you just lose your temper again?"
Yoshi lowered his eyes, refusing to answer and Tadashi sighed, letting out a little huff. "You know, you remind me a lot of someone I used to know." Yoshi looked at him curiously. "Who?"
"My brother." Yoshi scoffed. "I'm nothing like my father!" Tadashi shook his head. "No, I mean, my other brother. Koji." Yoshi titled his head. "Koji? I have never heard of him before."
"Yuuta does not like to talk about him much." Tadashi said sadly as he put a bandage on his cheek. "Why?" Yoshi asked. "It is hard for him. You see, Koji...died along with our father during our war with the Foot Clan." Tadashi explained and Yoshi looked more interested. "What was he like?"
Tadashi grinned. "As I said, you remind me of him. He listened to his own heart and made his own choices. Some of his choices may have been a little reckless and misguided but he always meant well. Father was very hard on him growing up, believing Koji to be dangerous to our clan."
Yoshi raised a brow. "Because he made a few mistakes?" Tadashi nodded. "Hai. You see Yoshi, mistakes, even the smallest ones, can have a heavy price...Koji, unfortunately, learned that the hard way." Tadashi patted his nephew's head. "I hope that you do not. You were very lucky to earn the responsibility of leadership, Yoshi and we all believe in you. Please, do not risk losing that." With that, Tadashi left, and Yoshi stayed in place, taking in his uncle's words.
...
"What were you thinking, Tang Shen! You could have gotten hurt!" Akemi scolded as she, Kitsune and Tang Shen were taking a walk down the village. Tang Shen looked at her, holding a little kitten in her hands. "That man stole that little girl's cat. I could not do nothing!"
"But you have no idea what he could have been capable of! What if he would have hurt you or worse!" Akemi continued to scold. Kitsune scoffed and shoved her with her hip. "Lighten up, darling, it was only a cat thief."
"You never underestimate an enemy! Did your mother not teach you that in your training?" Akemi asked, annoyed and Kitsune smiled. "Oh, Kemi, I love how serious you are, but you do know, it can be bad for your health, right?" Kitsune then gasped. "We should have a girl's night!"
Shen looked at her and smiled. "A girl's night?"
"Yes! Have some fun, cause some mischief, maybe even find dates." Kitsune said with a wink. "No thank you." Akemi said dryly and Kitsune moaned. "Do not do that! Do not miss a chance to have a fun night because you are afraid!"
"I am not afraid; I just do not trust you." Was Akemi's blunt reply and Kitsune put a hand on her chest, letting out a mocked gasped, looking offended. "You think I would cause you and everyone else harm?"
"Yes."
"You are right, I would." Kitsune admitted then hugged Akemi's arm. "But I will not tonight, I promise!"
Akemi scowled at her. "You are a witch; your promises mean nothing."
"Oh, please come tonight, Akemi! Please, please, pleeeeaaase!" Kitsune begged while batting her eyes and Akemi cringed as Shen giggled. "Akemi, please, come. I would like to spend time with my friends."
"Yes, and are you really going to leave Shen and I alone at night, with possible dangers lurking the streets?" Akemi narrowed her eyes at Kitsune who smiled innocently. "I know you are trying to manipulate me."
"Is it working?" Kitsune asked. Akemi stayed silent for a while then sighed. "I will be ready by eight." Kitsune released her, jumping up and grinning. "Great! Do try to dress for the occasion though and I do not mean your ninja wear!" Kitsune called after as Akemi began to walk away.
Shen chuckled. "Come. Let us return this kitten to her owner."
"Tang Shen, if you want, I can stop by and help you get all dressed up." Kitsune offered and Shen smiled at her. "That would be great. Thank you but of course, I do need to ask my grandparents if I can go out tonight."
"Ew. Why?"
"Do you not have to ask Kuzunoha?" Shen asked, and Kitsune rolled her eyes. "No and neither should you. Parents ruin everything. It is like their life's mission, to deny you your freedom and fun."
Shen laughed. "Do you not think you sound a bit dramatic, my friend? My grandparents give me freedom." Kitsune raised a brow. "Do they?" Shen frowned. "What do you mean?"
"They denied you the choice of being a kunoichi, before you could even think of it! Be honest, you have wanted to try it, haven't you?" Shen hesitated. "I will admit, it has crossed my mind a few times but...it is mostly because my mother was a shinobi and I wanted to see what it was like in her shoes but in all honesty, I could never hurt someone."
Kitsune gave her a look. "You just yelled and punched a man in the nose because he stole that sweet little girl's kitten!" She said while pointing at the kitten in Shen's arms who was now napping. "That is different. I do not like putting myself in any kind of conflict but when I see someone being treated unfairly or someone needs help, I can not stand by. That does not mean I want or have what it takes to be a kunoichi. No. I am perfectly happy helping the clan in other ways."
"Do you know what I see when I see you do such things?" Kitsune asked after a moment. Shen simply shook her head. "That you are quick, clever, bold and confident which are lovely and amazing traits for a kunoichi. If you ask me, Tang Shen, you have more than it takes than any other girl in that dojo, Akemi included...Do not tell her I said that."
To hear Kitsune give compliments was such a rare thing but to Tang Shen, it was often. Tang Shen loved Kitsune more than a friend but like a sister she never had and Kitsune has shown she felt the same. Shen knows Kitsune better than anyone, she is the only one who has seen her behind her games and masks and Shen treasured that trust more than anything else. Shen smiled at her, in gratitude then thought of something. "Kitsune?"
"Hm?"
"What if you have a child yourself one day? Will you let her do whatever she wishes?" Shen asked with a knowing smile. Kitsune hummed in thought. "I might set some rules but I do know one thing for sure, if I have a child, I will help them reach their desires and never deny them of their dreams. I refused to be like my mother and not let my child push past their limits and explore new possibilities."
Shen chuckled. She figured her answer would be something like that. "What made you come up with that question?" Kitsune asked and Shen shrugged. "Oh nothing, I just had a dream about you and this sweet beautiful little witch girl last night."
Kitsune gasped. "You had another one of your dreams?!" Shen nodded. "Yes. I do not know why but I have been dreaming about you a lot lately. The dream started with you with Saki in the woods, then there was someone else, but I could not make him out and then you are a grown woman with a little girl sleeping in your arms."
Kitsune shirked in excitement. "Does that mean Saki and I will get married one day?!" Shen let out a little chortle. "How many times must I tell you, Kitsune? They are just dreams; they can not see into the future."
"How do you know? It is still a long time away from seeing if Yoshi's fate is true or not." Kitsune pointed out and Shen frowned, she still got a little shaken when she thought of that dream. "It is just a dream." She insisted.
"Alright but what about you?"
"Hm?"
"What kind of mother will you be?" Kitsune clarified. Shen pondered it for a moment. "I do not know. All I know is what I would want for my child. For them to be happy, safe and to grow up in a loving home."
Kitsune gave a playful smirk. "Well, I already know who the father will be, and I do not need any future vision to say for certain." Shen looked confused. "Who?"
"Yoshi." Shen halted and blushed. "Yoshi?! N-No, he and I are just friends!" Kitsune crackled. "Whatever you say Shen, but I know when a girl is in love."
Shen did not reply, she just stayed silent as they both found the little girl and returned her cat. The little girl thanked them and the two girls both went home. Shen asked her grandparents if she could go out tonight and they said yes, much to Shen's glee. She was already looking through her closet, wanting to be prepared for when Kitsune came by later when a knock came to her door. "Come in!"
Chung I walked into the room and smiled at Shen. "Hello, Shen, I wanted to ask if you wanted to come with me to Usagi's tonight, along with the others?"
"Sorry, I can't. Kitsune, Akemi and I are having a girl's night tonight."
"Girl's night?" Chung I echoed. "Yes! Kitsune is going to take us somewhere fun, I do not know where yet, but I am sure it is going to be great."
"You seem very excited." Chung I mused. "Oh, I am!" Shen replied and Chung I chuckled. "Well, have fun."
"Thank you and please tell everyone I said hi!" Chung I then left the room, happy that his cousin was going out to enjoy herself tonight. He went downstairs and bowed his head politely at his Uncle and Aunt "I am going to Usagi's. I should be home later."
Amaya smiled. "Alright. Have fun." Chung I nodded then walked out.
...
Yoshi was the first to arrive at Usagi's place. Usagi was quick to greet him with a smile but paused at the sour look on Yoshi's face. He also noticed the patches. "Geez, what happened to you?"
"Nothing." Yoshi said in a sullen tone as he all but flopped on Usagi's bed without a care. Usagi frowned. "I did not invite you over here so you can be grouchy."
"Well, excuse me, but everything has just sucked lately!" Yoshi snapped as he sat up. "Oh yeah? Like what?" Yoshi took a minute then he started talking about his problems at home. He mentioned that Yuuta and Atsuko have been fighting much more recently, for reasons nobody knows or understands. They can't even be in the same room without fighting over something and the Hamato children worried what was to come in the future.
When Yoshi finished telling a story about a fight they got into this morning, Usagi crossed his arms and concern was on his face. "That's rough. What was the big deal about burnt toast? Master Yuuta could have just made another one!"
Yoshi sighed. "I think it was more than that, Usagi. I don't think it had anything to do with toast. They have always argued a lot but lately, it has just gotten worse, and I don't know why."
"Why don't you just ask?" Usagi suggested. "Right because my father tells me everything!" Yoshi said sarcastically while rolling his eyes. "He didn't even tell me I had an uncle who died along with my grandfather! I had to find out from Uncle Tadashi!" Yoshi flopped back down on the bed and groaned.
"What about your mom? Can't you ask her?" Usagi asked. "I guess but I hate upsetting her. I don't want to bring up anything that might make her sad."
Usagi rested his hands on his hips and smirked. "So, are you going to spy on them and find out for yourself?" Yoshi huffed a bit amused but shook his head. "No. I would but I don't want to risk my mom catching me."
Usagi raised a brow. "Since when does that stop you?" Yoshi sat back up and gave a fearful look. "You have never been on my mother's bad side. My dad is one thing but my mom..." Yoshi shivered. "She's terrifying when she's mad."
"Like mother, like son, huh?" Usagi joked and Yoshi gave him a slight glare. "Oh, don't expect Saki to come tonight."
"Why not?" Usagi asked. Yoshi shrugged. "He has been...I don't know. Not himself lately. He barely ever talks to me anymore. He's been very distant and cold almost. Ma thinks he is still grieving but, I don't know, I get this feeling that it goes deeper than that." Usagi frowned and looked to the side, remembering what Saki had said to him.
"So the Spring festival is going to be here soon. Do you know who you are going to ask yet?" Usagi asked, trying to change the subject. Yoshi blushed a little and turned away. "Nah, I'm not going to that stupid festival. That romantic stuff isn't really my thing." Usagi shook his head. "Oh Yoshi, you can't fool me, I know that you want to ask Shen, but you are too much of a coward."
Yoshi blushed deeper and glared at him. "No, I don't! Besides, who are you calling a coward?! I haven't heard you asking Akemi!" Usagi blushed. "Th-That's different! I don't even know if she likes me!"
"And what makes you think Shen likes me?!"
"You really are clueless! Do you not see the way she looks at you?!" Usagi snapped back and Yoshi went silent. "You don't know what you're talking about..." He muttered and Usagi just shook his head at him then Chung I came in. "Hello friends."
"Hey Chung I. Where is Shen? She didn't want to come?" Chung I shook his head. "No. She, Akemi and Kitsune are having a 'Girl's night.'"
"Girl's night?" Yoshi said. "Apparently it was Kitsune's idea." Yoshi grinned. "Wish I could be there. Kitsune is for sure going to annoy Akemi until she snaps."
Usagi grinned mischievously and rubbed his hands together. "What if we can?"
"We can not. Shen made it clear that it is only intended for girls." Chung I said and Usagi gave him a flat look while leaning over to Yoshi, cupping the side of his mouth. "He's more clueless than you are."
Yoshi growled at that and bonked him on the head, making him yelp.
...
Later,
Saki was walking over to the guests' house to see Tang Shen, wanting to talk to her but stopped when he saw Yoshi, Usagi, and Chung I heading over there as well. Saki followed after them as they all hid beside the house. "What are you three doing?"
"We-!" Usgai was about to tell him, but Yoshi covered his mouth before he could then look at his brother. "Minding our business." He snarked and Saki rolled his eyes. Usagi pulled Yoshi's hand away. "We are going to spy on Shen, Kitsune, and Akemi."
Yoshi slapped his forehead and shook his head as Saki raised a brow. "Why?"
"They are having a girl's night, and we are very curious what they will do." Chung I explained and Saki crossed his arms. "This is immature and stupid. Do you honestly think any of them would like you spying on them?"
Yoshi glared at Usagi. "This is why you shouldn't have told him!" Usagi shrugged. "I felt bad leaving him out." He looked back at Saki. "Come on, Saki, join us. It will be fun." Before Saki could reply, the doors opened, and three girls walked out. "Are you sure about this outfit, Kitsune?"
"Yes! You look amazing, darling! Akemi, tell her!"
"For once, I have to agree with her."
Hearing this, the boys immediately peaked their heads out while Saki turned to look at them and their jaws all fell at the sight. Akemi was wearing a simple black dress that showed her nice curves and her hair was pulled back, showing off her beautiful face. She wore high heel boots. Kitsune was wearing a black tank cropped top with a fox symbol on it and a long black slit skirt. She also wore red eyeshadow, red lipstick, and black heels. Finally, Tang Shen. She was wearing a black turtleneck crop top, with one short sleeve and the other sleeveless, showing off a little shoulder and black pants with even a darker leaf pattern. Her long, beautiful hair was in a half-tied pullback style. She also wore red eyeliner and black heels.
"Wow..." Usagi awestricken when he looked at Akemi. "Yeah..." Yoshi said soon after in the same tone, staring at Shen. "They are coming this way." Chung I warned and the boys quickly hid while Saki just continued to stare. Kitsune ran up to Saki and smiled. "Do you like how I look, Saki-san?"
Saki cleared his throat. "Kitsune, about...what happened, I-"
"Please, I forgive you and just so you know, the offer still stands." She gave him a wink just as Shen walked up and smiled a bit shyly. "Hi, Saki."
"Shen, you look beautiful." Shen grinned and blushed lightly. "Thank you."
"Where are all of you going?" Saki asked and Akemi rolled her eyes. "Kitsune is taking us out to have fun tonight."
"You are going to love it!" Kitsune promised. "Doubt it."
"Should we go now?" Shen asked. "Yes!" Kitsune said before they all waved goodbye to Saki, Kitsune blowing him a kiss and leaving. Once they were gone, Saki turned back to Yoshi and the others. "Alright, I will join you."
"Great!" Usagi grinned then took the lead as they all secretly followed after the girls.
...
Meanwhile,
Atsuko was angrily muttering under her breath as she pounded two pieces of meat. Yuuta came in and looked slightly nervous at what he was seeing before clearing his throat and gaining his composure. "Atsuko, this is very immature behavior."
The pounding grew louder and Yuuta slightly flinched. He grew less confident now. "You-You are going to ruin dinner." Finally, it stopped, only for Atsuko to swiftly turn around and throw one of the large meats in Yuuta's face, causing him to fall on his butt, with a loud groan. He ripped the meat off his face and looked at her sternly. "ATSU-!" He paused when he saw his wife glaring at him.
"I am so sick and tired of you, Hamato Yuuta!" She yelled. Yuuta slowly stood up and looked her straight in the eye. "Why are you acting like this? I have done nothing."
"Nothing?" Atsuko said while crossing her arms, but all Yuuta did was raise a confused eyebrow. "You treat our children like they are nothing more than soldiers to your clan! Like yesterday for example! You trained them so hard; they could barely even stand and when I tried to talk to you about it, you shut me down and just did not care what I had to say!"
"Atsuko, I have told you before-!"
"You never let me have a say in anything that involves my children! Especially Saki! He is my son too, Yuuta! I should have a say on what is best for him!"
"I could say the same about Yoshi!" Yuuta shot back. "Every time I try to discipline him, you speak in his defense! You spoil and cuddle him, when he should be punished!"
"It is not the same!" Atsuko has started to really raise her voice now. "I do listen to you and respect what you have to say but I also care to listen to Yoshi's side of things! That's not spoiling or cuddling Yuuta! It is called parenting, but you wouldn't know that because you do not even try to be an actual parent to your children!"
Yuuta exhaled. "Atsuko, why can you not understand that I am trying to prepare them for their future in the clan? You knew when we agreed to have children, that-"
"When we agreed to have children, I thought you wanted a family! Not just an heir and soldiers for your clan but apparently, I was wrong! Admit it, you just wanted a child who could take your place, nothing more! Since the day we met, all you have ever put first is your duty and responsibilities to your clan! I bet you would have married that girl you were betrothed to, if she hadn't died in the war! I would have just been some girl you helped escape, wouldn't I?!"
Yuuta said nothing and just looked down. He did not know what to say, for what Atsuko said was very likely. If the girl his father arranged him to marry was still alive, he probably would be married to her and not Atsuko. Not out of love but because it was his responsibility. That is who Yuuta was, that is who he has always been. Meeting his high expectations and taking on his responsibility without a complaint. Yuuta, of course, was not happy that the girl died but he was lucky, because on one of the rare times, he got what he wanted. He found Atsuko and married her, not because of his responsibility but because he loved her and chose to. He did not say that however, he just continued to stay silent.
Atsuko looked at him in disbelief, like she was expecting him to say what she said was not the truth, then scoffed. She stormed out while grumbling, "Make your own dinner." and left Yuuta alone.
...
Regret and slight fear were on both Shen and Akemi's minds when they saw where Kitsune had taken them. Loud music filled their ears and lights shined through the windows. "What do you think?" Kitsune asked, with excitement on her face.
"A club?" Akemi said, like she could not believe it, then glared at her. "You took us to a club?!"
"Yes! What is wrong?" Kitsune asked, confused. "We can't go in there!"
"Why not?" Kitsune honestly sounded like she did not understand, and Akemi growled. "We are not old enough and we do not have any IDs." Kitsune gave her a look. "Are you not a ninja?"
"Yes."
"Then it should not be hard for you to sneak in, should it?" Kitsune snarked. "What about Shen?" Akemi pointed out and Kitsune locked arms with Shen. "Do not worry, I will help get her in! We will meet you by the bar."
Now, Shen looked nervous. "The bar? Sue, I can not-" Shen did not have time to finish when Kitsune dragged her in while Akemi exhaled in frustration. "I hate witches." He muttered angrily, then looked for a way in the club.
"A club?" Usagi said in amusement, as he and his friends hid in the shadows. "Not as crazy as I thought Kitsune would come up with."
"Should we go in?" Yoshi asked. Chung I cringed. "I smell smoke and body order from out here. I do not believe we should."
"You can smell that all the way over here?" Saki asked, a bit doubtful and Chung I nodded. "It took a lot of training but yes, I can." Yoshi looked grossed out. "I wouldn't train for that. Don't you smell terrible stuff all the time?"
"Yes but believe it or not, it is useful."
"I don't."
"Hey, guys!" Usagi called impatiently. "Are we doing this or what?"
The three boys looked at each other and nodded before they all went inside the club. From the shadows they saw Shen, Kitsune, and Akemi dancing on the dance floor. Usagi smiled at Akemi, her body matching perfectly with the rhythm of the music while Kitsune was standing next to her, flirting with some grown men. Tang Shen however, well, she just appeared to be in her own little world. Dancing like no one was watching, however, lots of men were watching her.
"Yoshi." Saki hissed and Yoshi looked to see a big, grown man walking up to Shen. "Hello, young lady." The man said with a grin, and Shen stopped to look at him. "What are you doing here by yourself?"
"I am not by myself; I am with my friends."
"That so? Well, they do not seem to be here right now. Why don't you come with me? It is dangerous to be here by yourself." The man tried to grab her, but Shen moved back. "No thank you, I am fine." She tried to walk away but the man grabbed her arm and pulled her forward. Shen gasped and on instinct, kicked the man hard in the shin, making him let go. "Ah!"
"Shen!" Akemi called worriedly when she finally noticed, and she was about to run to Shen before the man could do anymore, but someone already tackled him when she got there. Both Shen and Akemi gawked when they saw that it was Yoshi, beating up the man brutally. "Shen, are you alright?!" Saki asked, making them yelp. "Saki, what are you and Yoshi doing here?!" Shen exclaimed.
"We-"
"We were worried about you, so we decided to come along!" Usagi quickly finished for him with a sheepish smile. Chung I raised a brow as he too came out of hiding. "Usagi, I thought we came because you wanted to know what they were doing?"
"SHHH!" Usagi hissed but it was too late. "You were spying on us?!" Akemi growled at him and Usagi chuckled nervously. "I-I, it was Yoshi's idea!"
"I thought it was your idea." Chung I said and Usagi glared at him. "Shut. Up."
"Why Saki, if you wanted to come along, you could have just said so?" Kitsune said as she rested her elbows on his shoulder, and he rolled his eyes at her. "Are you alright, cousin?" Chung I asked Shen who nodded. "Yes, but what about Yoshi?"
They all looked to see Yoshi standing over the very bruised, beaten-up man while glaring furiously, so much so that it seemed like his eyes were on fire. Usagi laughed. "I think he is perfectly fine."
"Get out of here, you creep!" Yoshi growled while kicking the man in the rear, making him jolt and run out of the room. Yoshi huffed and turned around, only to be caught off guard by Shen. "Are you ok, Yoshi?"
"I-I'm fine." Yoshi replied, blushing but he was not sure why. Shen smiled. "How come you and your friends came to spy on us?" Yoshi turned red at this and looked away awkwardly. "W-Well, Usagi wanted-I mean we wanted to see what you girls were doing-N-Not in a creepy way or anything!" Shen chuckled as Yoshi continued to nervously ramble. "We-We were just curious is all and-!
"Yoshi!" Shen cut off and Yoshi gave her a blank look as she smiled and held out her hand. "Do you want to dance?" Yoshi blinked a couple times. "D-Dance...with you?" Shen nodded and Yoshi looked unsure while scratching the back of his neck. "I-I don't really dance."
"Come on, it will be fun!" Shen insisted, already grabbing his hands and pulling him to the dance floor, ignoring his protests. "Shen, really, I don't-!"
"Pleeeaaase!" She begged, giving him puppy dog eyes. "For me?" Yoshi looked into her big gold eyes as they sparkled at him, and he sighed in defeat. "Fine..." Shen smiled as they started to dance, and Yoshi scowled at her. "You know I wouldn't do this for anyone but you, right?" Shen grinned. "I know. That is why you are my best friend."
Yoshi huffed. "Why? Because I let you get your way all the time?" Shen shook her head. "No, silly because you always make sure I am happy." Yoshi's amusement dropped and he blushed a little then snorted. "It is not really that hard, you are always happy Shen."
"Not always..." She admitted softly and Yoshi frowned a bit in concern. Shen quickly began to explain, "I mean, everyone is sad sometimes! No one can control how they feel, all we can do is try to not let it overcome us. Like when I am sad, I look at the positive things in life. Like my family, for example. When I miss my parents, I think about my grandparents and you and your family. I think about our adventures and the times we share."
Yoshi took that in then smiled, his eyes warm. "You are truly amazing, you know that?" Shen blushed softly. "Think so?"
"Know so."
Meanwhile, Saki was watching them with the deepest frown on his face. He wanted to be the one who saved Shen and dance with her but of course, that ended up being Yoshi. Kitsune seemed to notice and frowned a little before putting on a big smile. "Saki, do you want to dance with me?!"
"Not now, Kitsune." Saki replied without even looking at her, he just continued to look at Shen. "Oh, come on, Saki-san, just one little-" Kitsune reached out to push back his bangs, but Saki roughly grabbed her wrist and glared at her harshly. "I said no, Kitsune!" He pushed her away and moved past her as Kitsune stood there, totally shocked. She frowned sadly and hugged herself before going over to the bar. Akemi had seen the whole thing and narrowed her eyes while Usagi cleared his throat. "Hey, Akemi, want to dance?"
"I will pass, thanks." Akemi said dryly then left. Usagi pouted and let out a depressed sigh. "Guess it's just you and me, Chung I."
"I suppose so. Would you like to dance?" Usagi snorted. "In your dreams. Let's go check out the food bar instead." Chung I nodded in agreement and they both left to fill their bellies.
Kitsune meanwhile, was drinking down the strongest drinks she can find, and Akemi sat next to her, ordering herself a drink as well. Kitsune gaped at her. "I did not know you drink?" Akemi shrugged. "I don't. I figured I would try it." She offered Kitsune a smile and Kitsune grinned back. "Well, if you are a beginner. I suggest starting with a light drink."
"If you say so."
