Synopsis: Kate, Julia and their new ally rush to escape the island, however it doesn't go according to plan forcing Kate to go face off against Safiyah's forces on high alert if they want any hope of making their daring escape. Along with the flashbacks and Kate's time on the island coming to an end during the past. All the while back in Gotham Ryan and Montoya strike a deal with the Crows to help finally bring down Mrs. Freeze and prevent her from going after her target who they soon learn is Alice.
Batwoman lead her temporary group towards the boat hoping it'd be in good shape still as using the plane to escape wouldn't work out easily.
"What are the chances the boat's intact? Could we ditch the plane?" Kate questioned looking at Julia and her ally.
"Better be still intact I swear I spent money on that bloody thing," Julia began saying and saw the boat in the distance explode as they got a clear sightline. "Oh Bugger, there goes my investment."
Kate shook her head. "I'll pay you back once we get out of here. How about that plane you mentioned before?" She said, then turning towards Julia's ally.
"Should be safe, once we take out the guards and the anti-aircraft missiles. A really bloody annoyance quite frankly, how secure is this island? I feel like I'm living the spy dream, a little too real for me." He stated.
"Alright, you can secure the plane and I'll destroy those defences. If the security is too large, don't engage them and wait for me." Kate said and started to head away, knowing she'd have to return to the most fortified location on the island again.
Julia ran up to her quickly. "You can't do this alone." She stated.
"Doesn't seem like we've got any other option right now, I'm the only one who can do this I've got the biggest chance," Kate said.
"You might not get out of this alive, Safiyah is on high alert now. We've seen how much forces she's got at her disposal." Julia expressed concern. ]
Kate nodded. "You 3 need to stay safe and I'm getting you out of here alive that's a promise. And besides, it's me? I got this." She said confidently heading off before giving a smile to her allies trying to keep a brave face. Truly she was feeling afraid, but this was the only option.
"Good luck, not that you need it of course," Julia said giving a slight smirk to Kate as she headed off.

Back over in Gotham Ryan was speaking with Montoya and Jacob Kane.
"We all have to work together on this to bring down Freeze," Ryan stated bluntly.
"It's true Commander, you've seen how much of a threat she is. We can't afford to risk her escaping all because we're at each other's throats." Montoya added.
Jacob sighed and nodded. "Your both connect, unfortunately. Freeze is an active threat it's clear she's not going to stop until whoever the target is found. Or killed."
"Well, she's like a walking homicidal freezer? She can't be that hard to find right?" Ryan said allowed and thinking of Luke's ability to track her but realized telling them wouldn't be a good idea. Could be a clue to her detriment if Kane was building a case on the team. Though it might not help them in finding Nora.
"Unless you two know something I don't, doubtful it'd be that simple tacking our target. I'd bet she's smart, being under the radar this long. Must have been in the city for longer than tonight, it was planned." Commander Kane said.
Montoya grabbed her radio hearing nose. "All units, any progress on finding Nora?"
One responded. "Uh we might have a possible sighting, a citizen just pointed us towards another building covered with ice."
"Alright, send that address. The Crows and Black Bat are coming along."
Another unit responded. "Commissioner we just got on the scene and saw a couple of the Wonderland gang members trying to escape we're in pursuit now."
"If the Wonderland gang is there, could she be going after Alice?" Ryan proposed.
"Why would Nora want her?" Montoya questioned.
"I could have an idea." Ryan though allowed.
Jacob rushed to his vehicle. "It doesn't matter we got to go now get Nora and Alice. Right now." He said thinking of his daughter, not sure of what he was hoping to get from this latest encounter.
Jacob rushed away and felt his phone that Kate would call from ringing. "Hello? Kate, what's going on with the island? I was concerned about you."
"Thanks dad, well I wanted to let you know I was doing something dangerous. Safiyah is on to me and she's got her own private army down here hurting for me. So could be better. I'm trying to get us off the island, Julia called in a friend of hers who is helping out of this mess.." She paused. "Iisten, if you don't hear from me in 5 hours then, expect the worst. Do whatever you think would be necessary." She expressed.
"Kate, don't think like that you're going to be fine, safe and sound." He sighed. "If something happens, yes I'll do everything in my power to rain down hell on Safiyah."
"Thank you," She replied. "Hey, dad? I wanted to say, I love you."
"I love you too kid, always. See you soon." He replied genuinely feeling emotional thinking of her in danger now but tried to bury that feeling, having to go and see his other daughter now.
Kate meanwhile got to a lookout of the compound, seeing many guards and little room for error when sneaking in, she needed a clear head, something she did have at the moment as she went back to the past.
Flashback
It was a month or two now since Kata and Safiyah kept working to infiltrate the inside of the Kail Corporation. It wasn't going to be easy if they went into the day. However, back in this time security wasn't nearly as tight as it would later become, making it far easier then. The Many Arms of Death kept a more low profile back in those times.
The duo sneaked inside, stealing uniforms to blend in better which was working with the darkness and lack of many guards. They had a goal of finding that flower, along with anything else of value as Safiyah suspected they had something else worth wild to destroy.
"Were going the right way?" Kate asked, looking around.
"Of course we are, don't worry Kate we've gone over the plans for this place enough. I believe I've got a photographic memory." She claimed in response.
Kate gave a little laugh. "Really now? You know you remind me of someone else sometimes." She recalled, feeling a bit of sadness.
"Quite, after all I remember every part of you and I'm pretty sure I recall the entirety of the directions around this place." Safiyah replied slyly and ignored Kate's brief moment of sadness. "Look, we're in engineering now, what are the odds these people are building something awful?"
'Very high." Kate replied, going inside of the main room first.
One guard noticed them enter. "Am I finally getting a break?" They asked.
"Yeah, we were just coming to relieve you for about 20 minutes." Safiyah said confidently.
"About time, thanks." They left.
"Worked perfectly. Always do love having a plan coming together." Kate said happily and started looking around. "Over here, what's this?" She started looking at some blueprints.
Safiyah came over and looked at them. "It's a device, one that could disperse something. A universal cure? No, I must be reading it wrong of course, it must be engineered cures." She said lying.
"What does it mean? Why on earth would a group called the Many Arms of Death want a device that could disperse a cure into the air like this, on such a massive radius? Unless, it could spread a virus too then couldn't it? They could kill a lot of people with this." Kate said horrified.
"Or, they could be planning on releasing a virus, then holding onto the cure to said virus to make a profit off it. People could die and then they'd come in play hero, saving the day. While making an extreme amount of money off the pain of millions potentially." Safiyah replied looking closely at the plans and muttered something to herself which Kate couldn't have possibly heard.
Kate looked determined and a little curious about whatever Safiyah had mumbled to herself. "We should destroy these plans. They haven't built it yet have they?"
"It's the building plans for a prototype. Incomplete yet, we just got here just in time to find these plans, likely they're still getting all the parts they need and engineers who won't rat on what they're up to. I'll destroy these plans, keep a lot out, this could be dangerous." Safiyah said, looking concerned.
"Of course." Kate replied and exited the room.
Safiyah stared at the blueprints intensely looking at them for a moment and finally grabbed them, hitting it. She stopped for a moment and thought about what she just did, not even understanding why she did it, but continued along anyways.
"You destroyed them?" Kate asked.
Safiyah nodded. "Yes, I took care of them, you don't need to worry."
"Good, let's keep looking around. We should destroy anything else of value." Kate said, continuing to look around. "That guard will be back soon."
"Alright we should keep looking around, until that guard returns."
They continued looking around for things to sabotage, which lead them to more devices being made by the Kail Corporation which they promptly all made sure were going to break down and went to any computer they could find to delete all the files they could, cause as much destruction as they possibly could to the group as they both believed they were both a massive threat. By the end, they managed to leave without being caught. The guards weren't paying much attention, it seemed like nobody had ever tried to attack them before, which was a little suspicious, but didn't matter to either of them. They left, knowing they had done the right thing by giving them a crushing blow.
Back over in Gotham, Ryan, Montoya and Jacob arrived on the scene. The street was semi-covered in ice, they were definitely on the right track. Ryan and Montoya moved in first finding that the officers and Crows were trying to secure the area.
"Where is she? Where is Nora?" Montoya immediately asked as a few officers came up.
"Got away, however, we found another sneaky escapie." They said and some officers brought over Alice. "She hid in a dumpster."
"Fitting," Montoya replied. "Why is that woman chasing after you?"
Alice gave a smark. "I'm very popular, you all chase me, what's so different here?"
Jacob come on the scene and rushed over. "We should take her into custody and question her once she's got more security."
"Nice to see you too Daddy." She said bluntly. "Well now the whole gang is here I'll spill my tea. Safiyah Safihail, she send that woman to capture me, also her people all killed off my wonderland gang, again, leading way for the icebox to try to grab me easier. I believe she's caused other trouble in Gotham lately too, like working with Scarecrow or setting off a bomb to name a couple." She stated with a smile.
"Why should we believe you?" Montoya asked.
"She's right," Ryan admitted. "I wasn't sure about Nora, but I had a hunch. Batwoman and I were trying to look into her, also we fought some of her goons, some of them pirates."
Jacob and Montoya looked at each other, then back at Black Bat.
"Unfortunately we only have the word of two criminals, no real evidence," Jacob said truly.
Montoya nodded. "It's true, I hate to say even knowing all this we legally can't do anything against Safiayh assuming all of that is 100% true, I told Batwoman something similar. We need proof or else our hands are tied, legally."
Ryan sighed. "I figured so, I remember, I wish we had some evidence to help the case."
"I feel hurt your fragile little justice system won't trust little old me," Alice said.
"Typically we don't trust serial killers with credible information," Montoya replied.
Alice scoffed. "How insulting, how about this for credible info? I know were frosty is heading to, my headout, well fake one to get her off my tail. And in case you don't believe me, I'm crazy, not stupid, lady wants to probably kill me. I rather go with all of you so I can escape from Arkham again soon enough." She said proudly.
"We should take her in." Jacob declared.
"No, my officers will do that hold her in the GCPD building until this is over with. We've got more numbers and your Crows have more firepower if this gets ugly."
He nodded in agreement. "Fine, I'll get everyone down there."
"Good I'll meet you there."
"Me too." Black Bat added feeling a bit left out.
As Jacob drove away, Montoya turned over to Black Bat. "I've got a plan on how to handle Alice that I think you and Batwoman will agree with. Unfortunately, we're going to have to keep it under his nose."
Ryan nodded understanding. "Okay, what are you thinking exactly?"
Back overseas Kate was sneaking inside undetected, fortunately some of her years of training taught her how to be incredibly good at not being caught, among other parts of her life less intensive.
Kate began thinking once more of her time with Safiyah.
Flashback 2
It was about a week or two since their attack on the Kail Corporation, now Kate was thinking of what would happen now with Safiyah. Since then everything was more tamped and relaxed. Apart from learning some skills from Safiyah, like right now.
Tahani was assisting in teaching Kate some new fighting techniques, ones she had already taught Safiyah they were quite impressive. Fast attacks and ways of attempting to trick the opponent when in combat or while trying to sneak around. Fortunately Kate was a quick learner, but still was making some mistakes and wished to keep learning more, but also intended to continue along on her journey of training around the world. She cared deeply for Safiyah, but couldn't bring herself to stay on the island with her, along with feeling some resentment from Tahani who never outright said it, but didn't appreciate her presence.
"I'm going to take a break aright?" Kate said to Tahani, while Safiyah watched on, with a concerned look at Kate.
"Of course, I'm sure you must be exhausted from so much complex training." She replied with a not so subtle annoyance in her voice walking off.
Kate went inside as Safiyah followed her.
"Are you feeling okay? You are a fast learner, beautiful Kate Kane. You have many talents, it's very impressive, you continue to impress me." she said, putting her hand on her face gently.
"I was just thinking of something. Someone. I mentioned them before." She replied feeling guilty. "Sophie?"
Safiyah looked away from her. "Yes, I do remember her. She's your ex, why have you been thinking of her?"
"I've been thinking, I don't know if I can commit to you, our relationship Safiyah. I've experienced a lot of pain, with Sophie the wounds still feel fresh. I don't believe I am ready for another relationship like this. We caused each other a lot of pain, I just don't know if I can do this again now. It's not your fault." Kate said, genuinely grabbing Safiyah's hands.
"Yes, it's her fault. She was foolish for not wanting to be with you and hurting you, I'd truly never understand someone like that." Safiyah said truthly.
"It wasn't that simple." Kate replied, still thinking of Sophie.
"Should be, if she did care about you she would've stayed with you. There is no reason to continue thinking of her, she's the past now." Safiyah said, a bit hurt.
"She matters to me still, part of me will always care about her. When you are with someone like that, they mean something to you. I'm sorry Safiyah. I need some air." Kate said and walked away.
Safiyah watched her leave, saddened thinking of her and angry at the thought of Sophie causing her this pain, she didn't understand at all why she'd still have feelings for that woman, but she did wonder if she'd feel the same in Kate's position.
Kate walked around, not knowing what to do. She decided to go visit the only other person she knew on the island. Dembe.
Stepping inside he noticed her immediately. "Hello, it's a pleasure to see you, it seems like you've been staying on the island longer than expected." He said.
"You could say that, how have you been?"
"Fine, how about yourself? I've seen you spending a lot of time with that Safiyah woman, people have been talking. Some suspect you and her had something to do with the Kail Corporation losing a ton of money."
Kate looked unphased. "Why do people suspect us?"
"People talk and have eyes everywhere, after all this island is full of scum and villainy one could say. Speaking of which, I must admit you don't really fit around here, like someone as the likes of Safiyah."
She looked disappointed. "You think low of her?"
"Of course, I've seen so many people come through and settle down here becoming their true selves. I could be wrong. Maybe part of me is cynical. I want to be wrong about that woman, Safiyah, but personally I sense something wrong with her. A darkness, one you don't have." He said looking serious and frowned.
"I do care about her deeply, but I do feel something too in my gut about her that isn't right. I wanted to continue along on my journey, then I met her and now I'm feeling conflicted. I do love her. I think that I do."
"Well, in my experience, you know when you know. Listen to the part of you that speaks the strongest. Though I suspect you already know that and are now only afraid of hurting her. You are a good person, so that doesn't surprise me. I've always been good at spotting the kind ones."
Kate nodded. "You're very observant. Yes, deep down I wish to continue on my journey, I need to move on. And yeah, I've made my decision already. Speaking to you helped me know this is the right choice." She gave a slight smile and left.
Another flashback would involve Kate and Safiyah's brief relationship, taking place some time after the Kali Corporation is defeated. In this case, Kate would be shown to be unsure to commit to her relationship with Safiyah because she still thinks about Sophie and how much she hurt Kate. This implies that the reason why Sophie is threatened in the present was due to this particular flashback; because Kate opened up to Safiyah about Sophie. Also, during that time, Kate learns whatever skills that Safiyah teaches her; which helps her out a great deal during the rest of her training trip around the world. Saifiyah would comment that Kate is quite a fast learner.
(Remember viest to Dembe)
Soon she reached the air defence command center, all that needed to be done now was sabotaged the place so their missiles couldn't be fired. Now she had to be even more quiet one mistake could cost everything, which meant getting into the air ducks which wasn't hard as they fit her size. Now she needed to find access to the room containing what she needed to disable and some more help.
"Luke, really hope you can hear me."
Back over in the cave he quickly responded. "I can read you, but it's trying to be jammed what the heck is happening?"
"Trying to escape, but I need the missiles offline for targeting aircraft. I'm almost there, could you possibly help with taking it offline?"
"Yeah I should be able to remotely if you have any sticks I gave you still."
Kate understood. "I do, thankfully."
"Great, then I should be able to and then you are coming back to Gotham?"
"That's the plan." She replied.
Shortly after some exploring and a couple of close calls of being caught by the nose being made moving around above, she reached her destination. Which happened to be filled with armed guards.
"As expected." She said to herself and leaped down onto one guard, then quickly thrust into another one knocking them out and sliding across a table knocking out a third guard with her kick. Guard number four, unfortunately, hit the alarm, along with one of the tech people by a monitor who all ran out of the room as fast as they could.
"Weird." Kate nodded and put on a gas mask finding that the room was now empty suspiciously figuring knock out gas could be one reason. Regardless she plugged in the USB into the mainframe.
"They can't hack you right?" Kate asked.
"No way, we've got firewall after firewall, among other security, we're fine. They, however," He began saying as the screen said the air defence was now offline. "Don't have it secured at all, which quite frankly is kinda weird. It was too easy."
A voice appeared over the speakers. "I see those defences didn't hold up as well as expected, strange, but doesn't matter I knew you would be coming here." It was Safiyah. "After all, you are predictable. If you're intending on getting out of the building I do have unfortunate news for you. We already spotted you, so your little air vent trick isn't going to work as well trying to leave. Oh, and you should know despite your best effects I'm afraid to tell you our air defence isn't on a single system, contrary to what you may believe. It's unknown to almost everyone. If Julia intends to leave the island, she'll still be coming crashing down in a fiery ball of death. Sorry to say." Safiyah stated in a cocky manner.
Kate grit her teeth angered and moved towards to doorway finding a lot of guards now waiting for her.
"I feel bad, having to kick all your asses now." Kate said keeping her confidence up and moved in for the attack fighting against all the goons now standing in her way. It wasn't easy, guard after guard it felt like they weren't going to stop coming and once they did leave her away downstairs she realized to her horror it was only the beginning of the guards coming after her and she was already getting tired. She did have herself a private army all to herself now ready to stop Batwoman from leaving the island.
Meanwhile Ryan, Montoya and their reluctant ally for now, Jacob Kane continued pursuing Nora.
They're searching efforts brought them onto the trail of her van now speeding away from Alice's hideout. An officer accidentally spoked her so now a full on chase was in full effect.
"You know commissioner I can't say I've been in a chase like this before!" Ryan exclaimed, with some excitement and stress, as Montoya couldn't be considered the best driver it appeared from Ryan's point of view anyway.
"Well can't say as the commissioner I was expecting to be getting into police pursuits, can't say I'm disappointed being back in the heat of the chase again. Don't like admitting that, I'll admit that as exciting as this is, I can't say it's safe for the public."
Ryan looked at her. "Have you had any accidents before with chases like this?"
"Not personally, thankfully." She paused and grabbed onto her radio. "All units status?"
An officer responded immediately. "We got eyes, she's trying to avoid us, she just entered an alley, we're still- holy crap!"
"Officers what happened? Please respond!" Montoya exclaimed.
"Frosty froze the alleyway way, just nearly avoided the ice wall!" They responded.
Montoya sighed. "Anyone else got eyes? Keep your distance."
"Crows are on her tail now!" Another exclaimed.
She put the radio down and turned to Black Bat. "Wish we could communicate with the Crows easier, would make it simpler going after our suspect." She pointed out.
"Agreed with you," Ryan replied. "I'm trying to come up with an idea, going head-on against her didn't work out last time. Perhaps it's time to try a different approach."
"I've got a feeling I'm going to like this idea, let's hear it."
"We should try to box her in, like your doing I think, then we collectively distract her making her attention go all over the place. And while she's not focused I move in and make it worse, then take her down. After all, she's never been doing crime like this before or having to face off against an entire police department."
Montoya looked at her. "I think it could work, but let's go over it again."
Mrs. Freeze continued driving her van and was attempting to call for support at this point and finally got through to Safiyah.
"What it is? I'm quite busy."
"Cops and the Crows, along with that sidekick are after me, I lost Alice too. I need help now Safiyah!" She replied fearfully.
Safiyah mumbled to herself. "Alright Nora, I'll send an extraction team now I rather you stay out of captivity."
"Thank you Safiyah." She replied with a sigh of relief, which was poorly timed as a large ploice vehicle rammed into her van making it crash. Quickly Nora got out and started firing her freeze gun trying to cover her escape, all the while some officers fired at her aiming for the suit knowing it was bulletproof not intending to kill her. It did have the desired effect of making her confused by all the actions going on, unfortunately, she started to ran away and attacked some officers, while trying to escape. Thankfully everyone knew the plan and was prepared for Mrs. Freeze putting up one heck of a fight.
As she attempted to escape once more into an alleyway, Black Bat stalked her from the rooftops and threw a smoke bomb, then switching to the next roof as Mrs. Freeze on refleuse fired at her missing.
"I told you to leave me alone!"
Ryan shrugged and threw another smoke bomb, rushing to another position.
Nora continued firing wildly. "Just leave me alone, I don't want to hurt anyone. All I want is to be cured."
"How about you should stop trying to plead innocence, you've hurt people. Killed. You also were trying to proply kill Alice for who, Safiyah? Oh not to mention putting all these cops and Crows on a chase to find you." Ryan pointed out.
"You don't understand anything!" She shouted and started trying to freeze the entire overhead part of the rooftops attempting to block Ryan from bothering her anymore. However, something was added to the plan which worked out perfectly thanks to information Montoya shared which just went into action. The freeze gun overloaded temporarily from all the usage.
"No, no, I thought I fixed this!" Nora exclaimed worried, as the figure of Ryan hopped down and kicked Nora down with the force of coming down and started aiming for the suit's power core which Montoya also informed her about. Unfortunately, she couldn't budge it lose, fortunately, some of the Crows rushed over.
"Hey! I need help here! Without her power core, she can't move!" Ryan exclaimed.
The Crows approached understanding and assisted her with getting it loose, with their combined efforts they took the gun, ice grandes on her and the power core. Just leaving enough power to keep her cold and alive.
The police and Crows worked together to escort her away. Along with taking her van into lockup. The fight was Mrs. Freeze was over.
As she was taken away, Safiyah's people watched on unhappy with the outcome and informed her of how things played out.
Safiyah was angered. "It doesn't matter, we don't need Nora that much anyways. Should've expected this outcome, capturing Alice won't be an option then we've wasted enough time and resources. If you spot her again, kill her. I'm done playing games with her." She declared and hung up, continuing to head after Kate Kane who wasn't going down without one heck of a fight. Still holding out the hope that killing her wouldn't become necessary.
Speaking of which, meanwhile overseas Batwoman continued fighting against all of Safiyah's people, it seemed like an endless wave. She headed towards a room overlooking a window and started to barricade herself inside, now planning to break the window and glide to freedom. Now they'd just need a different plan of escape, however, due to the revelation of the missiles.
Kate started banging a desk into the window doing nothing to it, as the guards outside were doing the same to the barricaded door. "Dammit, why won't it creak." She said to herself trying again and again.
"Batwoman, you seem to have trapped yourself. As I'm sure you couldn't have known, I made curtin the windows couldn't be broken easily." Safiyah claimed again over the inner comm. "Please, just surrender already. I've already captured your sister, the one obsessed with tea parties to be clear. Not your dear doctor sister." She said bluffing.
Batwoman shook her head and continued trying to bust the window, "Your lying, I know she'd cause you more of a headache than that. Besides, I could care less about her at this point after all she's done." Kate said in half-truth.
"Oh, how cute of you thinking I can't tell when your lying, I'm pretty good at picking up on that. After all our time together, you can't lie to me and I know how much you care about her, a love like that just doesn't stop." Safiyah said, beginning to trail off, but stopped herself. "Are you willing to take the chance?"
Kate ignored her and kept hitting the window, then stopped deciding to reinforce everything in front of the blocked doorway hearing them trying to continue to bust it.
"Okay, one final chance. I'm going to blow the door in a couple of minutes and we can continue this conversation in person. Or walk out now and make it easier for us all."
Kate continued to ignore her and tried to think of everything she could do and checked her supplies realizing she was running low on smoke bombs and batrangs. Then decided to start trying to cut into the window with the batrangs she did have hoping it would be sharp enough. It was doing some damage to the windows, she decided on one final idea putting her final special batrang into the window, hoping it would be enough to finally make it break.
Unfortunately, Safiyah had lied and blown the door down immediately guards poured in and with them, Safiyah walked inside with them standing in front of them.
Back over in Gotham, The police and Crows were cleaning up the mess left behind by the chase and fighting with Mrs. Freeze. Jacob Kane came over to Black Bat and Montoya looking unhappy.
"You did good today, glad we could come up with a plan on bringing her down without anyone else getting hurt today." Montoya was saying to Ryan.
Jacob looked unconvinced. "If not for the likes of Batman or Batwoman or anyone like them, maybe that poor woman would've never had this happen to her, never would've become another one of these super-criminals, it's all a response to your existence."
"You can't be serious right now! You think that Batman and Batwoman are responsible for people like this becoming criminals? We're trying to protect the city from people like this!" She replied furiously.
"Oh really? What of the likes of the Joker? He was obsessed with Batman, always wanting to one-up their, games, as he put it putting more lives in danger. The Riddler wanted to prove his supportity over Batman. The penguin threw away his chance to be a good mayor of Gotham instead of trying to wage a war with Batman with innocent people as his puppets. Mr. Freeze, Batman never could save him, now look what's it's caused. This wife to follow in his footsteps."
Black Bat looked unamused. "You think that Batman wanted everything to turn this way? So many lives destroyed? I might be younger than you and maybe I haven't lived through the entire time of Batman in Gotham. Though I know Batman wasn't response for the actions of those people. Surely a madman like the Joker could've just turned out differently if Batman wasn't around, he would've still hurt people it couldn't just be Batman, of course we can't know for sure. But Riddler? Penguin? Mr. Freeze? All the others Batman went up against, even the Joker he tried to help them and reform them. Not to mention Riddler already committed crimes before Batman's involvement. The Penguin was already a criminal, it was Batman and his allies in the GCPD that helped expose him. And Mr. Freeze had his accident with no part of Batman. And don't you dare bring Alice into this." She said passionately.
Jacob still looked unconvinced. "Alice would've continued acting as a criminal yes, I can't deny that. However how about Thomes Elliot? He wanted to kill Batman, which lead to wanting to Kill Batwoman and he's killed a lot of people. Now Scarecrow has resurfaced, one of the cities greatest threats in the past and who knows what he could do now, how many lives could be taken or damaged."
Black Bat became upset by the mention of Scarecrow naturally. "Scarecrow is a monster, if not for Batwoman, you, Montoya and I things could've been far worse. Someone like that won't ever stop being a threat to the city, Batman or no Batman. Or Batwoman or me. He would've come back and the damage would've been far worse."
Jacob sighed and turned away. "Fine, I digress. We won't ever agree. We can agree on Safiyah though, she needs to be stopped." He said walking away now and as he did, Montoya turned back to Black Bat.
"Hey, we have one last stop before this is finished. Come on." She said to her.
Together they drove off finding the police officers who were taking Alice away and met up where Ryan left Kate's bike.
"So, you want me and Batwoman to keep her in custody?" She asked surprised.
"I have a feeling the only place Safiyah can't get to her is where you and Batwoman are hiding out at. And I can't risk it with everything going on, so I trust you both. Batwoman already told me she had kept her captive briefly before." Montoya said.
Ryan looked unsure of this decision by Montoya. "Couldn't there be a better option?" "Perhaps there could be, but this Safiyah person wouldn't be expecting this. Putting Alice with you. And it's clear they have a major vendetta against each other, so we need to do everything we can to keep them apart." Montoya expressed sounding completely curtin on her choice.
"Alright I'll take her in." Ryan accepted.
Alice perked up. "Hey, can't I get a choice in this matter?"
They both looked at her and said nothing.
Montoya turned back to Ryan. "We brought a sedative, in case she tries something funny while ridding in the back of that bike."
"Thanks," Ryan smirked at Alice as she looked annoyed by this.
Back over with Batwoman, she once again faced Safiyah, who was looking less like her calm and collected self.
"Batwoman, you've been giving me a headache. You must know by now all of this is pointless, perhaps I won't kill every last member of your family if we can just sit down and talk." She paused. "Before you say it, yes that isn't the most friendly or trusting way to start off talking now is that?"
"Agreed," Kate replied.
"You know, all of this power, all my ambition has a cost. It's cost me a part of myself, the piece that was more the woman you knew all those years ago now. Having a position like this it's made me harden, I'm always thinking of threats and leverage. Quite frankly having that as my primary method of keeping this position, isn't an easy task. So I appolgize for all the threats. Can't we just go back? Back to how it used to be? You, you were my first love. Can't we find that love again? I know you feel something for me, deep down inside of you. We can have all of this, all this power, together." She said genuinely looking at Kate deeply.
"What about Tahani? Don't you care about her? How would she be feeling hearing you say things like this?" Kate questioned, not buying it.
Safiyah looked truly pissed off by that.
"I don't know what she's told you or whatever she's got into her head, but no I don't love her. I've never loved her, never like I've loved you, being with you is entirely different. And it isn't my fault she can't accept that." She replied coldly.
Kate looked at her dead in the eyes. "You're just using her then, her vulnerability everything she's gone through all of that pain. The fact she's in love with you and how much she cares for you."
"You're twisting my actions," Safiyah replied. "I've given Tahani a home, safety, everything she could ever want. You didn't see what she was like before I met her all those years ago, sad, broken, alone. She needed me. I saved her and everything she's done since then has been to thank me. And don't forget, you could tell she cared about me and didn't like you. And yet, you continued to pursue me, you couldn't care less about her then. At least I do regret my ways of treating her back then. I have many regrets, how about you?"
Kate continued staring at her saddened. "I have a lot of regrets too. Of course that I do. I thought about you a lot and Tahani, I treated her unfairly back then. I wish I could apologize to her, but I know it doesn't matter." She paused. "The woman I loved is gone. You are lying to yourself Safiyah. You turned her into your own personal killer, along with the rest of these people. What good are you trying to do? You never destroyed the blueprints to that device that could release a virus, you were lying all the way back then! How could I possibly trust you after everything you've done? All the people you hurt, my friends, the people I've seen with my own eyes and all the ones I don't know. You're not any different from the twins, who I suspect you murdered to gain all this power. To gain all of this."
Safiyah looked away from her, looking hurt. "I always knew what it was. The Desert Rose, I had lied to you about it, which I do regret deeply."
"Why steal it? Was taking over always your endgame? Use that as leverage against them?" Kate asked angrily.
She looked unhappy turning back to Kate. "My mother was dying, I never told you that I didn't know what you'd think, maybe call me selfish using a cure that could save countless lives only my mother. A traveller came to where I lived and went on and on about it. I'd figured them insane, but after they were killed it's why I believed it to be true. I needed to know, she was going to die and I thought perhaps if I could save her my family would think more highly of me. Then I met you and that priority slipped away, I relized that I'd never be accepted no matter what I'd do. Not only because of my love for you, but my dreams of exploring too. And so I decided to let it go, also for the record at the time I didn't know what the hell I was thinking stealing the blueprints."
Kate looked surprised. "I never imagined, but you were right about me. I agree using it on her would've been selfish. Maybe she and many others could've been saved by that flower, even if she wasn't the best person. Nobody deserves to die, you know I've always believed in that. And even back then, I never would've stayed with you, after all, deep down we are who we are. You Safiyah are a killer. I saw who you were deep down, a monster despite all your best intentions there was always a monster lurking beneath the surface and I doubt if I'd ever would be able to save you. You stole the blueprints, because some part of you always wanted to grab control. Maybe you would've corrupted me. Made me lose a part of myself like you claim I did to you." Batwoman said determinedly.
"Fine, fine. If that's how you wish to have things be, then enough of the marcy." Safiayh replied sounding far more sinister than ever before till this point and stepped out of the way of her guards approaching.
Batwoman got ready for the fight, while actually reaching to activate her special batrang. "You can't fight me yourself?" She asked.
"I could, I've learned many skills over all these years of many sorts. However I don't want to hurt you, but I'll let them capture you and maybe once they do we can come to a better understanding. I won't kill you."
Batwoman nodded. "Good luck with that Safiyah." She finally blew a hole in the window to her relief and flew out it once again.
"Dammit! Go after her now!" Safiyah exclaimed.
As the window was recked an explosion could be heard from below and a bit of a distance away.
"Now what's happening?!" She yelled frustrated.
The radio gave a response. "We're under attack! It's the rebels, Black Flag's people are hitting us hard, we need all pulled guards returned now!"
Safiyah looked out the window thinking for a moment.
"What should we do?" A guard asked egure.
"Deal with the current threat and get me a helicopter. Right now." Safiyah replied.
Flashback 3
Kate rushed out of there planning on escaping and knew they now had a chance using the plane to escape, it would be their best bet more so now knowing Safiyah won't kill her and blowing up her plane wouldn't help with her goal. As she did, her mind went back to the final time she saw Safiyah, leaving the island.
"You've made your choice then? You don't wish to reconsider?" Safiyah asked.
Kate nodded, packing up what little she did. "I'm sorry Safiyah, you can't change my mind. I've decided moving on is the best option."
Safiayh frowned. "Of course Kate, I understand. I'll walk with you to the ship."
They talked together, it felt very difficult knowing this could be the last time they'd both see each other.
"I, I just want to make sure you know I'm not leaving because of you." Kate said, telling a half truth.
"Yes, I know Kate. I want you to be able to continue your training, I understand I was just a pitstop along your larger journey." Safiyah said, trying to hide her feelings of being hurt.
"That isn't true." Kate said, grabbing her hand tightly. "You were much more than a pitstop, I hope one day I'll get to see you again." She said genuinely.
"I-I." Safiyah stopped herself. I feel lost without you now. She thought to herself, but Kate never knew that, all the hurt it caused her. She wasn't focused on Safiyah now, looking more to the future never considering any of that.
"You'll be just fine without me, I'm sure you've got some of your own adventures to be going on huh?" Kate said trying to keep things playful, make it a positive goodbye to her.
"Yes, I'm sure I'll think of something to accomplish. Like you said, I'm an ambitious woman. I'll find something to match me." She said, starting to wonder to herself what she could accomplish. "I hope Kate Kane, you will find whatever it is you are hoping to find. And have the dreams you have become a reality, even if you don't know what they are yet." Safiyah said letting go of her hand.
"Thank you, I'll never forget you Safiyah and our time together." Kate replied, giving her a kiss on the cheek.
Safiyah wanted Kate to stay with her, but kept those feelings to herself, now wishing to go down a different path seeing this part of her life ending. "I'll never forget it either Kate, good luck, beautiful Kate Kane." She said as Kate went onto the boat and waved goodbye to her.
Kate wasn't sure exactly where she'd be heading, or what she'd be doing next, but whatever it would be she was looking forward to it. Though, another boat was passing by them and she got knots in her stomach. A feeling deep inside, a feeling of something inside of her screaming at her trying to tell herself. A feeling she didn't have since she was a child. Kate ignored it, believing it must have been something to do with her guilt towards leaving Safiyah behind, but knew that it would pass and the further she got the less she could feel the feeling.
For Kate Kane her memories stopped there. She never knew the rest.
Back on the island, a woman felt the same feeling, but also just ignored it assuming it was the feeling of coming to this strange island. She didn't understand the rules there and didn't know anyone, she was desperate. Immediately she look around, spotting Safiyah noticing she was the only person not only standing still, but seemed very upset by something which intrigued the woman making her approach. "Are you okay?" She asked.
"Yes, of course." Safiyah looked at her and had some slight confusion. "Do I know you? Something seems, formlier." She began saying.
"No you wouldn't, I've not really been anywhere. To be completely honest I was trapped living with a psychopath who kidnapped me for years." She laughed.
Safiyah looked confused. "Okay then." She started to walk away.
"Wait! Please, I don't know anyone and you seem like a nice lady, do you know of somewhere I could stay? I've become tired of being homeless and alone. Really I don't even know how I ended up here. Or why I decided hopping on some random ships was a good idea. I might not be the best at decision making, you see." She said with an awkward smile.
Safiyah sighed. "Alright, tell you what you can stay with me and my friend for the night. Perhaps you could give me a reason to like you and I might even let you stay longer." She suggested with some sarcasm and some truth, feeling like that formlierity gave a reason to trust her. "What's your name anyways? Mine is Safiyah."
The woman paused for a moment thinking. "Oh yes, my name is uh, Alice." She said, "Like from Wonderland, of course no connection, such would be, mad."
"I see, well, nice to meet you, Alice." Safiyah said as they began to walk off.
"You know if you wish to murder anyone, I'd not be opposided to that." Alice said.
"Well, let's hope it won't come to that. Though I was thinking of something that could involve such, it was a passing though. Unless maybe meeting you could be a sign, my new path." Safiyah said and wondered allowed.
"Okay, whatever you say, Safiyah. I have a feeling this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship." Alice smiled and gave a bit of a laugh.
Back in the present Kate spotted the plane and her three allies after quite a lot of running away from Safiyah's forces. It was finally about to be over and she rushed over to them, having Julia immediately spot her.
"It's about time you got here!" She exclaimed running to Kate.
"Glad to be here at last." Kate replied feeling relieved.
Julia hastated. "Well we have one slight issue at hand, your friend Dembe, he's requesting to stay on the island."
"What?" Kate was surprised and went right over to him quickly. "You can't stay here, Safiyah will kill you!" She exclaimed.
He nodded. "It's a possibility, but I can't run off while people's lives are in danger. You made me remember that seeing protecting all these people and continuing the good fight against Safiyah, I want that too, even if I die. At least I'll be fighting for what I believe in, much as you are doing now. I won't argue with you, the three of you must leave this island right now before more of Safiyah's forces come!" He was curtin his choice being the correct one.
Batwoman looked around and at her allies. "Fine, just stay safe okay?"
He nodded and geshtered for a hug towards Kate, which she accepted. "Same to you, after all you still have a long fight against Safiyah, she's not going to take this attack on her lightly. I hope we'll meet again."
"We will Dembe, I promise you that. I'll return." She said genuinely and started to walk towards the plane.
Julia's ally looked at Kate. "You know, I've not had a chance to properly introduce myself, my name is Burten, Jake Burton. Now, I believe you said something about calling Safiyah's bluff and the possibility of us exploding?"
Kate nodded. "The anti air missiles aren't down, but she won't kill me. She's demonstrated that, in case I'm wrong, do we have pearchises?" She asked with a concerned tune.
"Yes we do, assuming it comes to that. Personally I'm against staying on this island, it smells like piss, I might just rather go down with my plane." He said sarcastically.
Julia hopped on board and they took off.
A helicopter was following them closely though with a sniper red dot aimed right at them. It was Safiayh.
Kate stared at her intently, which made her lower the gun.
Across the skys, Safiyah reached for her radio. "Do not fire at that plane leaving." She said, sounding very angry, but trying to keep a calm tone.
"Are you sure? We have them in our sights wouldn't it be best-" One of the guards preparing to fire asked, but got interrupted.
"I'll tell you what's best." She reminded them.
They complained and nobody fired on the plane as it finally had escaped Coryana, leaving Safiyah quite angry at the situation, knowing she'd now have to bring this fight back onto Kate's playing field, all in due time.
Back on the plane, the trio were grateful to have escaped.
Kate immediately called her father. "Dad, I'm heading home now. We got off the island, we're okay." She said exhausted from the adventure.
"I'm very glad to hear that, I prayed for your safety." He said feeling a lot of relief.
She smiled from that, knowing he hadn't prayed a lot ever since losing her mother. It was very hard for him. "Thank you dad, we'll be touching down in Gotham again in a few hours hopefully."
"I'll be waiting for you once you do." He replied.
She hung up and relaxed for a moment, before remembering, she was still dressed as Batwoman. She turned over to Julia. "How trustworthy is Jake here?"
"I trust him with my life, if you're asking if you reveal your identity to him then there isn't an issue luv." She replied feeling her shoulder and trying to rest it as it was still injured.
"I could always close my eyes for the rest of the trip, but I feel it could increase our chances of crashing." He joked.
"Very funny." Kate replied and started taking off her Batwoman suit, stuffing it away.
The plane touched down, and they spotted a welcoming party with Kate's father, Sophie, Mary and the other Crows standing guard.
Kate got out first and immediately had Mary charge up to her giving her a massive hug with Mary trying to use all of her strength possible to hug her sister. "I'm so happy you're back!" Mary whispered. "Luke and Ryan are super grateful for your back too and totally wishing they could be here too. Oh and we have a guest in the cave which I'll tell you more about later. Let's just have a nice time for now."
"Thank you Mary." Kate hugged back tightly too.
Jacob came up happy seeing them close together, Sophie approached as well.
"Your hurt, was that Safiyah?" Jacob asked, upset.
"Yes, well her people. They tried to kill me, but we can't prove that they'd just say I was trespassing, which technically was true, but Julia and her ally here helped keep things under control, if not for them everything would've turned out much worse." Kate said, looking over at them.
Jacob gave Kate a very tight hug as well, even though he gave a sniffle to her safe he walked over to them and shook both of the hands of Julia and Jake. "Thank you both dearly for keeping Kate safe during that whole recon mission, I don't know what I'd do without her. She's a tough kid, the toughest but always good having backup." He said grateful to them both.
"A bonus to help in your investigation of this Safiyah character." He revealed something small from his pocket. "A flash drive containing everything the SRR knows about her, she's been on our watchlist for sometime now. The fact this woman has interests in Gotham is quite concerning. Hope it'll assist."
Jacob nodded. "Thank you."
Sophie approached Kate and gave her a hug as well. "I was worried too, it must have been pretty dangerous going on a mission like that after being back in the city the past couple years." She pointed out.
"It was, thankfully I didn't see too much action, I left it mostly to Julia and her friend." She said lying.
"You know Julia never mentioned that Jake guy before, I wonder why they seem pretty tight." She wondered, and shook her head. "Doesn't matter, I'm just glad to see you back safe and sound. You know Mary was completely worried out of her mind, which made her even more talkative than usual. I've learnt many pointless facts about fashion lately that I never needed or wanted to know." She joked.
Kate laughed. "Sounds just like Mary."
While they spoke, Jake pulled Julia to the side, gaining her full attention. "I know you were disavowed by the SRR," He began. "Many fellow agents and myself don't agree with how things played out. What they asked, it was out of the ordinary, many things like that have been happening and more of us agents are starting to notice more suspicious activities and orders being given. Something is wrong, very wrong. Some have even said in the years after your father left the service things have been slowly changing, becoming far worse. He was one of the greatest agents, along with him some others left not long after him. All that changing of the guard left the door open for some smelly filth to sneak in. You should watch your back, some like minded agents like myself are looking into it and trying to keep our eyes open, I'll update you as soon as we become aware of anything more. Just look out for anything suspicious. I know though of course you have to finish up this business with Safiyah, but after that do you think you might be up for investigating this further with us?" He asked.
Julia nodded, not exactly sure how to respond. "Alright, I'll keep all of that in mind, we'll keep in touch then. Until then, I believe I've got a beautiful woman waiting for me."
He smirked. "Same old Pennyworth, don't you always?"
"Same old Burton, with your whit. Till next time." She walked over to Sophie and together they left.
Kate, Mary and Jacob walked away together as well.
"How about dinner? Just the three of us? I don't think we've ever done that before, or at least not since." He didn't finish.
"Of course Dad, I'd love to have dinner with the both of you. Would be nice to finally have a normal dinner now all of this is over with." She smiled at them both.
"And I've got a lot of gossip to share!" Mary exclaimed.
"Couldn't forget that." Kate replied sarcastically.
Back over in Coryana the mood was different. Safiyah had a meeting with the other highest members of the Many Arms of Death who weren't pleased with her at all considering all of her recent actions.
"You have a lot to answer for." One began saying.
"I'm the leader of this organization. I have ran it for years. If you're intending on threatening me, I doubt it'll go well." She threatened.
The woman named Fatima stood up."Safiyah, we took a massive attack here and we've only got losses, we're all understandably upset about this."
Another spook up. "You have a personal stake in it and that's not acceptable. You threatened the entire organization, Safiyah, we could've lost everything. This is madness you need to kill Batwoman, you clearly know who she is and could take her out if you so chose." They pointed out.
"I'm not continuing this discussion, I thought we had something relevant to speak of considering our plan with Gotham." Safiayh stated looking annoyed with them all.
"It's your plan for Gotham, we haven't had much of a choice. It's too high profile and stupid attacking a massive city like that and for personal stake." Fatima replied.
Safiyah stood up. "I didn't know about Batwoman's identity prior to this attack being planned, Gotham is a stain on our planet. And has caused issues before. Hitting them was the best choice."
"Safiyah if you continue these insane plans we'll be forced to force you out." Another stated looking confident.
"That's cute, perhaps you forget about all the leverage I hold. And what happened to the original leaders, maybe I'll ask Knife to give you the same fate." Safiyah threatened.
Back in the past, Safiyah had now spent at least a month with Alice. And a plan was formed. Only Safiyah and Taifana eventually walked inside of the Kail Corporation both holding a bag which they showed the guards as they walked in making all of them sick and unsure how to react. They were eventually dragged to the board room with their bags.
"What kind of trick is this?" One asked.
Safiayh stood up brushing herself off. "Well, you saw. I've had your leaders killed. The Twins. Seems like you need new management." She said confidently.
"You attacked us a month ago, what's your game?" Another asked.
"Ambition. I've decided taking over your organization would be my best move. Along with your own due to all the leverage I've gotten this past month. I planned on exposing you all, but instead a new friend made me reconsider, made me realize what I always wanted was power. So, I'll be taking control and if anyone questions it, you get the idea." She said confidently. "Anyone disagree?"
Nobody said a word.
"Good, now let's talk business. I believe you all lost a blueprint, a very important one and I happen to have it. So, how about we continue construction?" She said with a sinister smile.
Batwoman
Hope that everything in the story was good, I'm deeply sorry for taking so long with it, I'm just grateful to have finished. It ended up taking so much longer than I expected and being longer too. Fingers crossed this won't happen again without warning.
In Response to C.G
Immediate Topics:
Ryan 's Argument with Jacob Reminder – I hope that I did my best with showing off this argument. Also I sadly don't own that DVD, but I'll be sure to try looking up that bonus feature.
Ryan's Defeat against Mrs. Freeze and The Lesson Behind It – I agree that is a good lesson and hopefully given off well. My intent with Ryan is to have her a little more thought first instead of head on, but starting to do otherwise which pays off for her at times like you said when they split up which I'll hopefully do well too.
Should Ryan get her own Bat-Cycle? – That all makes perfect sense and I was thinking the exact same thing pretty much. I'll be sure to do all that. I'm reassured it's the right choice.
Julia's Colleague – I'm honestly embarrassed to confess that I haven't properly allowed him to introduce himself as of yet due to not having a name for him then. It took me a long time, strangely enough to come up with one. Hopefully, I did all of that correctly.
Further elaboration of Cassandra's fight Against the Female Ghost-Maker –Thank you for that elaboration I can see that whole scene clearly and I'm excited to complete it in the future it sounds like a great one you do have a great way of imaging a fight scene and making it feel intense/exciting.
Further elaboration of Kate's fight against Bruce – I do like that Kate would be pointing out there things to Bruce during the fight it's all true and it was crappy on his part but I don't know if Kate would be believing that Bruce truly did kill Selena maybe if I add that Kate's not meaning that only saying it in the heat of the battle. I don't know I could be overthinking it or misunderstanding sorry if I am. I like it overall.
Further elaboration of how Talia found Bruce in your series – I like the explanation behind Kate and Talia facing off, I would assume after the events of Lian Yu she might have been hurt and made it easier for Batwoman to beat her then. Along with her wanting to know about if Batman had returned. I like that she's set off to find out where Bruce had went to and getting greeted by Alfred I can see that, I like as well she's comment Bruce looks terrible upon seeing it sounds like something she'd say. It makes sense Bruce would figure he couldn't hide from Talia. I appreciate Talia would be blunt about Kate becoming Batwoman (That makes sense, I do feel a little split but I'll agree for now I'll say something if I start thinking of a good reason why Bruce could be split as well, I honestly can't think of any good reasons in truth why he would be happy so I do agree) I like she'd be trying to get Bruce to open up about what brought him to this point. And would know somehow it was Joker responsible. I like too Talia would respect Bruce's wishes about not letting anyone in Team Batwoman about his location as I'm sure she'd just want him to find peace at this point.
Random Topics:
Potential Killer Croc Successor – I feel like that'd fit in well. I'll be sure to try to get him into the series and include all of that and it'll be interesting for the team to have to deal with a more dangerous offspring of Killer Croc who ultimately killed the original with how much of a threat it is. (I hate that Jim Gordon killed Croc, to say the least. I put more where you mentioned Croc's Successor I didn't have as much to say here)
The canon Renee Montoya – I think the casting seems alright, it's interesting they chose the same person, but appear to be wasting her twice. I only saw the ending clip of Renee threatening Batwoman to work with Alice for some reason which was enough for me to know I made the right choice not watching this year. (And everything else I've heard regarding her so far)
The Gardener's name – Thank you, I apologize for not thinking of looking her up myself. I will be sure to remember that. I'm going to make a list of all the villains that should appear.
The news of Tim Drake's bisexuality – I think it's alright, I saw people point to evidence of it previously, yeah it'll be applied I don't see why not, doesn't harm anything.
More Information about Quiz – Those details are pretty interesting, I'll most likely adapt that into her appearance here. I like how Riddle truly does care for her which is uncommon for him it'd be a cool thing to show off and I can picture her as this character judging by how I imagine she'd be acting in the series.
Dick Grayson's Older Half-Sister – Yeah I'm sure she could fit into those events, it'd be interesting having her included with everything going on with Dick Grayson I'd be nice for when he's finally free to find out he's got a nice sister he can bound with. I would be happy having him be his normal positive self once things go back to normal. And I'll include all of that with amnesa creating Ric and Punchline being the one to cause this.
Harvey Bullock alternate character "portrayal" suggestion – That's a good pick I'm sure for Harvey Bullock I'll do that whenever he appears.
James "Jim" Gordon alternate character "portrayal" suggestion – Seems like a good choice, I saw him on NCIS (Mom watches it all the time) and he could be a good Gordon for sure.
Batwing Suit Modification Suggestion for Your Series – Interesting idea I'll do that when Batwing shows up I'm sure Luke would need a lot of time to create that suit and it'd be cool if it is a Batman Beyond prototype suit to get upgraded in later years.
Irony about the "Titans" version of Batman (Bruce Wayne) – I have to say that's pretty stupid (no offense if you enjoy Titans) I'm happy for the way I'm going in this series instead and yeah I agree with the island instead of being in a castle, like the one in that comic (which is pretty good)
What I think happened to Gotham's Organized Crime in Your series – That does fit well, I figured the crime families and empires of Gotham were pretty much gone after all the events that took place in Gotham. I like that the Sionis crime family lost it's power during the events of 2015 my thinking was that it damaged the city heavily. I really love the idea of a new generation of crime families and such rising to fill the void left behind. It's fine about taking some time to give that posting, I thought a little about it already and made a posting that I'll put up next time as this one is long enough. Thank you for the suggestions excited to learn more.
The Circumstances of Montoya's Rise to GCPD Commissioner – I'm surprised Barbara killed her brother, I'm sure it's part of the reason she's no longer in Gotham and Gordon himself as well after something like that, even though he's an evil person of course. It's unfortunate how the higher ups decided to pick Forbis, of course it's due to the corrupt in Gotham, he was a better fit then someone like Montoya who had the same morals as Gordon and I imagine he wasn't popular with corrupt people naturally. And of course what you said is a good point too, Batman must not have been liked by them either and Forbes seemed like someone who'd do what they'd want. I love the way you put it. I like that Gordon makes that bet/wager and that it's a shocking move from him. I love the talk with Gordon a lot it's a great and is well said for sure, along with the stuff with Bullock there. I think it's nice that Montoya is forever grateful to him for the recommendation and his well placed faith in her.
Montoya's Love Life In Your Series – That's interesting yeah I like the idea of her being married in a happy relationship after her failed one. (And I'll be sure to include all that backstory I'm not 100% knowledgeable about it, but I'll be sure to read up on it all) I'm not sure if having them married during season 2 would work unfortunately due to my early on decisions of hinting towards flirting between Kate and Montoya, I guess it could just been seen as playful, but I feel like Kate or Ryan would've mentioned the ring by now. I guess I could say she proused during this season and then will have a ring. (I'm likely over thinking that) And that's a good choice. I remember Ziva on NCIS, my mom watches reruns a lot.
Montoya's Trust in Batman (and Batwoman) Explained – I like that reasoning and I'll be sure to include it.
GCPD Cast List "Portrayals" for your series:
I love all the suggestions you've given for the characters, I love all the suggestions you had for GCPD members. I like how many there are I feel like it'll be important when getting into the later seasons.
Ellen Yindel* –
Ethan Bennett** –
Jason Bard*** –
Blair Wong**** –
Jessika Van (portrayed "Rush Hour" TV series character, MSS Agent Kim Lee)
* That's a good idea, I'm interested in doing a younger version of that character. I don't recall if that was ever done before. I'm not sure if she'll become the GCPD commissioner in the future, I'll see where that all goes.
** I remember him he was pretty alright on there, I like giving Bruce a close friend and someone who knew Tommy Elliot too it'd be nice seeing his perspective on everything. He has potential for stuff happening with him. One thing I was wondering what are your thoughts on him becoming Clayface possible? If not is fine.
*** Alright I'll be sure to do that I'll try to learn more about him before he shows up eventually.
**** Same with them.
PS. I appreciate it getting some more potential GCPD members, I think I'll start to think about when they'll start to appear starting in season 3 I think that'd be best when Montoya starts being in more people she can trust. I like the updated suggestions you've given, I'll be sure to remember them all.
Random Topics (Part II):
A Funny Joke Suggestion for your version of Circe Sionis – That would be a pretty funny joke I'll be sure to do that.
Mary Is officially a Doctor in Canon – I have to confess, I forgot for awhile that she was even in medical school opse. Did they ever say how long she's been in medical school? I'd like to go with a pretty realistic amount of time she's pretty skilled as one for still being in school.
The Origin of Bane's Daughter, Vengeance – I checked it out it was pretty interesting, I'll try to read that storyline at some point seems cool.
An important moment between Kate and Ryan – I like that moment a lot and I do agree it is an imorant moment showing Ryan's growth and Kate being reassured she made the right choice believing in Ryan as she has and always will.
How Scarecrow dies in your series – I like that idea of him being killed like that after everything he's done and making Ryan disappointed of course leading into everything with Diggle. (I hope it won't be weird with how long I'm taking) I do believe that he should have a little talk to Ryan just before his death, somewhat expecting to not make it out of this alive saying something that'd stick with her, not exactly sure of what yet though I've gone back and forth on it. Overall I think it's a great moment thank you.
Character "Portrayal" Suggestion for Jim Gordon's Kids – I like those casting and I do remember how disturbing James Gordon Jr. could be at times, I however never knew about him possible being part of the events that got her paralyzed.
Season 4 Finale Title Suggestion for your series – I like that name, I'll for sure use it. And it was a great storyline.
Should Jace Fox temporarily become Batman in your series? – I think that's an alright idea, I mostly like the development that it'd cause for the Fox family overall. I don't mind Jace being a temporary Batman, but I'm not a big fan of the whole idea I have to admit maybe I'll warm up to it more later. It's fine though for the series.
Arrowverse version of Nora Fries - I don't know what to say other than it's all very weird.
Supergirl related - (I just combined these two sections) I'm surprised they even bothered to kill off Willam before the finale though you turned out right I think, I guess it gave the Supercorp shippers some brief hope which didn't seem like a great idea after how mad they all got after not having it happen. I don't know anyways, I'll be sure to discard all that previous stuff about her death, which means I could potentially build their friendship further and of course deal with the development at the end of the series. I don't think she'd be jealous of Kara, I do believe she'd be supportive of her choice and share some concern about it in regards to her life and express wishing they had time to speak about it. I think that Kara would've wanted to speak to her about it, but everything with Kate's disappearance happened. I also believe that Kate would be sad, (not sure if she'd say it allowed though) that she can't talk to Kara dressed as Kate anymore due to both of their enemies making connections or something. I do think Kate would look at the downsides more, but Kara would have some optimistic view on it all being the Paragon of Hope of course. I think it'll be interesting to have them talk about it, my thoughts could change of how Kate would react to it. I still don't know how to feel about it personally, Kara revealing herself. Might have to sit with me longer until I'm certain about what direction to take with Kara and Kate.
The Final Fate of Some of Batman's Rogues in your series:
Penguin – I think that I'll go with lung cancer due to smoking, to quote Bond in Tomorrow Never Dies, "filthy habit." Anyways, I do agree that makes a lot of sense it would be tragic for Ethan having his father die locked up pretty much forgotten after all he did for the city and would blame Bruce Wayne and Batman for sure which blows back on Kate. I think Ethen would have a high opinion of his father it seems like he did a lot in this version being the mayor after all at some point from a throwaway line in season 1. Though I do think Penguin in reality was most likely a horrible father and Ethen is just in denial and thinks the Cobblepot name should be continued.
Killer Croc – I really do not like what the show did, I much more prefer corrupt GCPD members doing it behind Gordon's back, there would be no way he'd approve of it. I do like it as well that he was badly wounded instead and just vanished after that. It's good the team would immediately remember him and try to find him right away in the sewers. I'm sure it's going to be very shocking once they find his skeleton and that Killer Croc made an offspring very more dangerous in his time off the grid (which is really bad considering Croc was already extremely dangerous)I like all this a lot and I'm curious how that series went I'm sure it's got more issues by now with all the time I've taken.
Clayface – I apologize if I don't understand this entirely that's on me, from what I understand and some of my own filling in the blanks. It seems like you think that I should make it so one of the Clayfaces somehow "consumed" the other two running around which has made them unstable having 3 personas in him and he's becoming completely unstable after years of this. I like thinking of the GCPD and Batwoman deciding to re-examine Clayface and discovering this horrific revelation and the reason as to why he's become more unstable after all the years he's been around. And that they can't even be sure which Clayface killed the other two. It's really creepy stuff I like it a lot it fits Clayface well I'd love to write about that.
The Riddler – I love the idea of this story arc I'd love to fit it in at some point sounds pretty fun and intresting to see a possibly reformed Riddler, it could be a trick not sure. I'd like the inclusion of Quiz as well and her first meeting with Batwoman should be fun too from that sounds of that. I do like Batwoman would be hesitant of helping due to him doing that which caused a lot of trouble and possible victims due to his crimes not sure yet either on that or perhaps there could be a secret reason why Riddler gave Tommy Elliot Batman's identity. Overall I love the idea a lot and I'm excited to get to it someday.
Poison Ivy - I'm not exactly sure either, but yeah I wouldn't ever be planning in killing her off I hate it they did that, or tried to anyways in canon. I do agree with that, I think she's stopped acting as a villain I think there should be a turning point for her but not sure of what it should be yet. I think she'd be unhappy with the Gardner's actions and want to help bring her down seeing the error of her ways before and seeing Gardner acting out old mistakes. I like that they did before briefly I'm sure neither of them were ready yet but glad they would be later when they'd meet again I'd be happy doing that.
Mr. Freeze – I would like that a lot imaging that a version of that has occurred and I always do appreciate a lot when Batman is trying to save Victor and help him. I'd like to think he was unfortunately captured by some terrorist group or something to create them weapons, however, he's refused for years until they abduct Nora from Arkham bringing Batwoman and the team on the trail. Along with Julia most likely due to it being an international problem at hand. That's just a tentative idea.
PS. I liked all the postings you had there if you think of any more feel free to share them, thank you for them.
The spin-off show nonsense - That sucks they wasted all that time just to drop the show I'm very sorry that happened I know it must be extremely frustrating.
"Canon" Batwoman season 3 roundup and potentially related to series included - (I wasn't sure what else to do) I didn't learn that until I heard it from you, oh my. That is uh, something alright. I believe that for my series I'll be going with a clone version of Ivy, because unless I remember wrong Batman tried to kill her in canon on Montoya's wishes, which is a big no no for me personally. I could be completely wrong there.
Anyways, Mary being Posion Ivy. I'm not sure what they're doing with her, it's all very weird I don't have much to say on it besides I figure Mary will get a redemption arc or something and become Flame Bird I doubt she'll get into really bad permanent trouble as Alice hasn't for whatever reason so Mary shouldn't by the show's logic that'd be strange. (I wrote that part before Batwoman returned from break)
A Reminder about How Zatanna's spells works in your series – I never caught onto that, I'll be sure to do that thank you.
Cassandra Cain's Reason for Silence in your series – I am somewhat mixed about it, maybe it just needs to process longer. It's just pretty much I want to do Cassandra justice, I do love it a lot that she can still speak despite her throat being cut and she just never felt safe enough to speak I assume until meeting the team and also never bring tough language besides violence. I always liked she couldn't speak full sentences, but desperately wanted to reclaim that and perhaps a sense of fear from attempting to speak. Overall I do like your idea a lot and I'm sure I'll likely be using that by the time she'll appear.
Coryana Story Arc Ending Reminder – I apologize for not having the boat section left in I'll admit this somehow flew over my head and I considered rewriting, but I decided against it due just how long I've taken. Hopefully I handled the rest alright, I only relized responding to this part somehow, oh duh I should look at the arrowverse wiki which I seriously should've looked at her sooner on there. I am excited to set up that SRR plotline, thank you for the reminder of the ending to this arc.
Desert Rose Cure - I like that idea a lot I'll be sure to do that. (Sadly I haven't seen Smallvile as of yet I'm sorry to say so I can't really comment there) I love your explanation of how Mary's enhanced immune system would work. It's cool her body would start trying to make an immunity to whatever is attacking her body and that interaction with Scarcrow sounds pretty cool too. I also really do love that part you describe with MAry having to stop something created by the Joker and pushing herself so hard it burns it completely out of her system. Also good comparison to that part with Wolverine from the comics.
"DC Reveals A Larger Conspiracy Behind Joker Killing Jason Todd" - I think it was an intresting article I could potentially do that in this series it would be quite a shocker for them and Jason if he were to wake up. Hopefully, I'll keep that in mind I would be intrested in trying to think of something.
Mary - Those theories are interesting, I understand of course you don't want them to happen and from what I can tell at writing this from all I heard of the show it seems like Mary is going to have nothing bad happen to her or Jacob either. I'm sorry for not having much to say on it, I've not been caught up on it.
Ghost Maker's name - Thank you for keeping me updated about all of that I must have missed that issue, unfortunately. I'll be sure to keep that in mind, hopefully, Ghost Maker will keep getting more revealed about them and I like all the idea of the history with Kate.
Some Details On How The Reverse-Flashpoint Timeline Should Work In Your Version Of The "Armageddon" Crossover:
I appreciated all those previous postings I applogize for ignoring them now, I'll be sure to be handling it that way I'll be intresting getting to expore the world of "Reverse Flashpoint" a bit.
Batwoman – I always do like thinking of their role reverse at that fateful day. Do you have any idea what children book she would be based on with her presonuno? I like that Beth would be a more ruthless version of Batwoman, I think her life would've been far worse then Kate's in the original timeline. I think having that happen with Jacob would make Beth even more ruthless and closed off and I believe she'd not be on good terms with Sophie never knowing her well besides just knowing she was important to the Crows and of course being enemies once she becomes the leader. (It would be tragic seeing Sophie having to keep living a lie, I do like that) I like that a lot Tamara would be taking the place of Luke it's interesting and I think it's kinda funny in a way that Mary is seemingly the only person not really any different, it is sad though she'd still be unwilling to forgive Jacob but makes sense. That does seem understandable with her being more filled with rage and out of control, still sad thinking of what Ryan's life would be without Batwoman inspiring her.
Supergirl – That is sad and a dark fate, I do like the idea a lot, but I do admit I'm happy not seeing that happen to her in life action. It's interesting how Lucy would be picked to be the only viable candidate and the whole project overall, it's a really cool idea all of it and how she'd get the powers of a Kryptonian. It does make sense that she'd be acting like a soldier as she's working for the government as I assume their biggest weapon. It's sad how they'd happen to Alex. Along with Martian Manhunter's fate it's scary thinking of what the real Hank Henshaw would be getting up to with the DEO. I'm not sure of what to do with the rest of the team, I'll asume Mon-El never comes to Earth, Lena must likely meet some horrible fate due not having Kara in her life, The Legin must be nonexist if the world ends, "James" must be in Metroplus still maybe with his sister, Winn is possible stuck with a boring job, Ms Grant is most likely still being herself somewhere and Nia can still become Dreamer cause I love dreamer and deserves good things, little bias, maybe. Probably forgot someone.
Arrow – I like that the one change of Oliver not going on the yacht with his father would change so much, I might go in more detail for the final episode how much of a butterfly effect it happen. I like too the continuity of having Diggles lose his sister-in-law and his nephew I forgot they existed till you mentioned them. I like that change Alena Whitlock would be replacing Felicity cool idea. (I admit I can't say I like Felicity too much and have the slightest temptation to kill her during these events randomly) In all seriousness, I think my new team picks would be, Rene Ramirez Wild Dog still ending up losing his daughter and coming on the same path, (I feel the city would be even worse due to the destruction caused) Dinah Drake would also still must likely be having the same events happen to her and probably be the only Canary. I think that Roy Harper would become Arsenal still, perhaps in a worse place as I assume Thea could've died during the destruction which would have some irony for Malcome. (I think overall fitting with Flashpoint theme going on the team would be a bit more darker, with some of who they are in the original timeline peaking out a bit, but mostly Diggle once seeing the true timeline. I think final surprise member would be, Adrian Chase still as Prometheus, but instead having more of a vendetta against Malcome so he's semi-more heroic here. Ultimately I don't think I'll focus on them too much, but I think it'd be cool seeing this alternate Team Arrow.
Black Lightning – That's interesting he would remain retired instead of returning I would love to think of a reason why he didn't ultimately and why White killed him most likely. I like that Jennifer would ultimately become Black Lighting due to all of what you said and it fit with her in the show. I like that Gambi would fully support her as well and that Lynn and Anissa would oppose it that, it sounds true.
I'm excited to have Barry's reactions to all the different lives on his new heroes that he'll get to encounter. I'm also excited to write about them learning about original lives and all wanting the real timeline back. (Why expect for the New Black Lighting though? Sorry if it's obvious)
A question about proposed "Armageddon" Crossover changes. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question in part or not, would this take the form of one bonus episode only or two? (I think you mention two or more on second thought) It just seems like there could be a lot of ground to cover potentially in this new version, perhaps I'm overthinking it how much there is to cover does depend on what I decide to include or add. One thought I was having was in this version Barry would have a team of heroes who want to fix the world, I think it would make sense if Thawne would've had a backup play waiting for this to happen having a secret team of villains on standby, or other heroes maybe considering he's meant to be the Flash. I'm not sure, I was just thinking it could be cool having a battle before Barry resets everything. Perhaps like, this version of Kate for one so we can see Beth having to fight her sister and maybe an emotional goodbye just as that world ends as Kate has a moment of clerity? Others could be like this Malcolm Merlyn, Tobias White and some more for each member, apart for Damien Darhk.
PS I. I'm not sure either, I do think that it's possible considering this seems like a bad timeline perhaps Superman dies somehow maybe fighting against his brother in an different bad ending to season 1 of that show. Or maybe to Doomsday if he does end up appearing. I do think that Lois would still appear briefly to express disappointment in Lucy's choice, perhaps with a grown up Jordan fully powered?
PS II. I like that he would be making taunts about that knowing of what is to come, perhaps I could make more if anything else tragic does happen on the other shows in that time, I like this a lot I truly do it's a great idea to have Barry then tell Kate of the impending trouble coming. I mention it more in the part below, but I do think this experience would make Kate paranoid of what could possibly happen knowing something tragic will happen soon. I think the rest of the team would be frightened as well, I think that's a pretty scary concept knowing the tragedy is coming but not knowing what it is or how to prevent it. I also like Barry's consider. Also it would be very tragic for Kate relizeing she failed Sophie (in her mind anyways) by not thinking of her mother and would be devastated seeing her going down a darker path wanting revenge, I think this would make Kate afraid of getting closer to Maggie to after this happens believing this to be her fault and being overwhelmed by guilt, maybe not. All of what you thought up is amazing thank you.
I had a personally thought that could potentially add to all of that, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea. My idea is to add in it appears that either Luke or Mary might die before it's clear it's Sophie's mom. One of them would be in danger if Luke then Brain's people would be taking him into custody for seemingly no reason which would make Kate be concerned about Brain or whoever is helping him might know about who he is and want him gone, remembering what Barry said worrying this would be that moment. It'd be similar for Mary, she'd be taken and threaten to be harmed unless Jacob give up everything, but I'm not sure if that would be too soon for Mary getting taken as she already did by Safiyah. Anyways, my other thought would be I wondered if perhaps due to Barry letting them know about this the timeline changed due to Kate saving Luke or Mary resulting in Sophie losing her mom instead? Or perhaps it was just always going to be this way and there wasn't anything Kate could do, but of course she'd still blame herself for the failure. Heck maybe both of them would've died if not for Barry giving them knowlage of what was happening, I think due to having this in her mind Kate goes through force in rescuing Luke immediately not giving another moment's thought. What do you think?
PS III. I believe that all these suggestions should work, their all amazing and the ones about the alternate timeline are very well thought out I would've loved to see that in live action it would've been awesome.
PS IV. It was pretty good overall yeah it brought some life back into the show I'm happy you enjoyed it so much. I'm sorry still about all of that Green Arrow and the Canaries stuff, I did feel more upset it wasn't going to happen after that episode I think it sparked my interest again in it. It's really crappy all of that happened behind the senses and that HBO Max decided to turn it down it could've been pretty unique and a nice legacy for Arrow which started everything for the CW's DC side. It's crappy how all that mess turned out and all the sneaky things they tried to do to cover it all up.
Thank you for the help with the flashbacks, I do admit those gave me the most difficulty while writing as I feel like I shot myself in the foot perhaps but not giving myself more room to breath was the last couple episodes considering them they were too short and not enough happened I found. I'm sorry too for changing some of the flashbacks, I felt like my changes were necessary, but I could be wrong. Hopefully all the things I did end up changing were all positive ones. Along with adding that forth flashback.
Episode 16 - I was trying to think of what to do my current thoughts are giving focus to Ryan and "Whisper" who I think should finally give Ryan her birth name giving the ultimate trust before the heartbreak later making it more tragic. Anyways, I believe that Ryan's past as a drug runner catches up with them as an old "friend" is demanding Ryan or Whisper does another job or else. Of course Ryan doesn't want to do this and wants to get Kate informed for help, but not trusting Batwoman Whisper is hasatent until Ryan's life is put into danger as "friend" already expected things to not go their way and tries to force them into helping making Whisper go though with turning to Batwoman but saying how she knows this could paint a target on her back however doesn't care as she's finally ready to leave the life of crime behind for good to be with Ryan. (And possible hints towards her desire to leave Gotham together to start over leading to their downfall of course) Batwoman & Black Bat take down the baddie and that's all for them. Along with Ryan expressing how grateful she is for changing her path in life and becoming the person she always believed she could be, in thanks to her mother and caregiver at the orphanage. Meanwhile I feel like I should really get building on Jacob's Knightfall plotline showing some of his progress. Then I believe I should have at least a small moment for Julia and Sophie being together along with catching up with Mary and maybe Luke. (Also wasn't sure if I said this before, but my intention is to have Julia leave for all that corruption business at the end of the season leaving Sophie in a bad place, which will get worse during season 3 unfortunately for her)
Thank you for your passense, I apologize again for taking so long to get this done. I had pretty much finished the response section about 2 months ago now I believe. And I had barely progressed the past 4 months on writing the story until about 2 weeks ago I wrote the majority of the story, so I sincerely hope it doesn't feel rushed in parts. I was thinking of writing it nearly everyday, but the block was stronger then it ever was before. I'm just happy to finally have finished and am now able to look forward to the rest of the season. I really hope to be able to get into season 3 by, let's aim for Steptember hopefully sooner would be even better.
