After a few days, All of Japan was ready to assist the West Coast Republic. With Bertrand having provided more tanks and planes, Nagisa was put in command of the first army that was to make landfall on mainland USA. However, in order to get there, they had to request permission to use the Island state of Hawaii to use the islands as the alliance's Staging ground.
"Wow, this is my whole army?" Nagisa said as he looked at all the men under his command.
"That's right, you are in command of a good amount of Men, equipment, and Vehicles." Karasuma said to the shocked General.
"Wow." Was all Nagisa said before Bertrand and Isogai walked in.
"We just got word that The Bertrand Republic is taking Canadian territory." Bertrand said as he showed them the drone footage of Bertrand Republic Tanks rolling across the old Country border. Nagisa pounded his fist onto the table. He cursed under his breath before speaking.
"That John is going too far." he said, getting nods of agreement.
"Agreed, the Grand Grim Reaper will be stopped. That I am sure of." Bertrand said with determination. That was when a Marine ran in and said, "Commanders! We just got word, Hawaii has been taken over by the Bertrand Republic!"
"Well, it looks like instead of asking for permission, we have to liberate Hawaii before the mainland USA." Nagisa said.
"Agreed. Let's get the invasion fleet underway, and please try to avoid damaging the monuments and historical items." Bertrand said to the Japanese general.
"We'll try not to." Nagisa replied.
Later, Nagisa looked at maps of Hawaii, Honolulu, Kalawao, Kauai, and Maui counties. Kayano and Rio walked in and took his attention from the maps with kisses on his cheeks. He smiled and kissed both of them while grabbing their asses.
"Oh baby, I love how you handle our asses, right Rio darling?" Kayano said to Rio.
"Right indeed Kayano dear." Rio said as she pulled her boyfriend into her lips for a sloppy kiss. Suddenly there was a throat cleared and when the three looked behind them, they saw Bertrand and Isogai. They blushed hard as Bertrand chuckled and Isogai smirked.
"Do they remind you of anyone john?" Isogai asked his Friend.
"Yeah, they sure do." Bertrand said to his friend.
"Huh?" the three asked the two
"John here has a few lovers in our universe." Isogai said to the three. Nagisa looked at Bertrand who looked away and was blushing.
"Seriously?" Nagisa asked the man in question. Bertrand nodded his head.
"Damn."
"Yeah, well anyway. We need to prepare for Hawaii's liberation… and try not to damage any of the Monuments." Bertrand said to the General. Nagisa nodded his head as he didn't want to damage any of the Monuments either. Soon it came time to move out for Hawaii. The Fleet would lead the troop transports and engage any enemy ships that would be resisting them. Itona prepared the drone helicopters and jets that his bounty hunter Counterpart had built. Nagisa looked at Kayano and held her close before kissing her.
"I'll come back, Kayano." Nagisa said to his second girlfriend.
"You better come back to us Nagisa." was what Kayano responded with as she placed a hand on her stomach with a small smile. Nagisa stared at her in shock, before he smiled and hugged her again before kissing her.
She waved her friends goodbye while Meg waved goodbye to Yuma, who joined up with Nagisa to help free the home he knew for 10 years. As the fleet plowed through the seas, Nagisa was looking over the Map of Hawaii to make sure that not a lot of people died. That was when alarms went off and Karma ran in.
"Radar Contacts Nagisa! Bertrand Republic missiles!" Karma told him.
Running onto the deck, Nagisa saw the Point defense systems on the ships light up as the Missiles flew towards them. Bertrand got out, jumped into the air, and took down the Missiles fast. Nagisa's jaw dropped, along with all those who were from that universe.
Isogai smiled and said, "Now he's showing off." Nagisa looked at Isogai with a look of shock.
"How can he do that?! The only way people can fly like that is if they have…" said Nagisa as he realized that what he was about to say made no sense. The only person he knew that could fly was his old teacher Korosensei.
"Is if they have antimatter in their body, yes. My John has that." Isogai said to the shocked General and his comrades. Nagisa looked at Bertrand in Awe as he took down the missiles the ships guns could not.
After the last of the missiles were dealt with, Bertrand took note that a few of them struck ships.
"How did you get antimatter in your body?!" Nagisa asked Bertrand in private along with his friends and Isogai.
"Well in my world I was chosen to be one of few American children to get Tentacles like Korosensei. I was the best of the best with my Tentacles, who I named Rock and Creed. But by the time I was ready, my world's Nagisa killed Korosensei so there was no need to have me. The Agents asked me if I wanted to keep my tentacles or have them removed. I built a bond with them so I chose to keep them." Bertrand said as he leaned on the railing. "From there I joined the Foreign Exchange Program where I went to Japan and met my wife, Toka."
"Wait, you married your Toka?" Tomohito asked Bertrand.
"And Hinano, and Meg, and even Rio." Isogai added. Bertrand blushed more as Yuma's jaw dropped and Hiroto smirked.
"Holy shit." Nagisa said, stunned.
"And are you ok with that?" Yuma asked his other dimensional self. Isogai nodded his head.
"Yeah, besides. I had her first." Isogai said and showed them a picture of the two and their kids.
"Nice… is that Hadet?!" Yuma said as he looked at the photo. Isogai grinned and nodded.
A Soldier walked in and said, "General, we have Hawaii in range."
Nagisa and the entire group snapped to attention. The air, originally light-hearted and slightly awkward, changed as they instantly fell into a proper mindset.
"So it begins. Tell the fleet to prepare for bombardment." Nagisa told the soldier, who nodded his head and walked out.
"Let's watch the fireworks." Bertrand said to the group, who nodded their heads and followed him out.
In mainland North America, President Bertrand was informed that with his blitzkrieg of Canada has met great strides with the country of Alberta-Sask falling in a matter of days. Though New Quebec was resisting harder than Alberta-Sask did, it was close to falling. Manitobaontario had also fallen since both capital cities of the provinces were near the Border. But British Columbia moved their capital from Vancouver to Whitehorse after the Bertrand Republic launched its blitzkrieg. The British Columbian armed forces fought hard to provide as much time for their government to get out of the city.
They had defense lines set up at crossroads and intersections. They fought hard, some soldiers even did a Bayonet Charge, with a IFV supporting them with its M242 25 mm chain gun with TIS and C6 7.62 mm machine gun after they ran out of Ammo. However the IFV was taken out by a Bertrand Republic AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter when it fired one of its APKWS 70 mm air-to-ground rockets and the Infantry were gunned down by a Bertrand Republic Stryker with its 12.7 mm M2 machine gun.
After that, M1A2 Abrams tanks rolled over the defensive lines with Sherman Tanks and Captured Leopard 2 Tanks. The Armies Of Canada were no match for the Bertrand Republic's overwhelming numbers. President Bertrand smiled as his forces and his generals were not disappointing him when he was told about Bertrand and the other universal arrivals.
"Damn it, seems like my plans in this universe are in jeopardy." President Bertrand said to his advisor.
"Don't worry sir, Hawaii's army will keep them from getting here." President Bertrand's Advisor said to reassure him.
"It better, 01. For your sake." President Bertrand said with venom in his voice. Back at the fleet, Nagisa was able to see Hawaii as the allied fleet began to bombard the shore line. Nagisa then saw Bertrand Republic helicopters from where he was at get quickly taken down. Karma then told Nagisa that the landing ships were ready.
"Ok, let's get to work." Nagisa said as he walked away from where he was.
Later, in a landing craft, Nagisa readied his rifle when one soldier, a young Private, asked, "Why are you here sir? Generals normally don't partake in landing beaches."
"That's the thing, soldier, I'm no normal General." Nagisa said as their landing craft struck the beaches and the doors opened. Nagisa led the charge and suppressed a Machine gunner who was aiming at his landing craft which allowed the men in it to get out and up the beaches. Nagisa kept leading the charge up the beaches when he suddenly stepped on a landmine.
When he woke up, Nagisa saw he was on a hospital Bed with Bertrand looking at his chart. Groaning, Nagisa sat up and Bertrand sat in the seat next to the bed.
"Easy, easy soldier, you took a nasty blow on the beaches." Bertrand said.
"The beaches… THE MEN!" Nagisa shot up into sitting up but Bertrand calmed him down and filled him in on what happened.
"GENERAL!" Shouted a soldier as he ran to Nagisa after the landmine went off. Nagisa Groaned in pain as the soldier got him to a Tank Trap and shouted for a medic. Bertrand landed, looked over his leg and injected Morphine into Nagisa's arm to help with the pain. He then quickly pulled out a First Aid kit and treated his leg. Karma ran over and was panicking for his friend.
"I got him Karma, lead the men in taking the beach!" Bertrand told him as he grabbed Nagisa and jumped onto a medical ship. Karma growled and picked up Nagisa's gun.
"You heard him, men! TAKE THE BEACHES!" Shouted Karma.
In the present time, Nagisa sighed and looked down at his leg. He saw it bandaged up and thankful that the landmine didn't cause them to take his leg. That was when Yukiko rushed over and hugged Nagisa closely, she even teared up a bit at how she almost lost a friend of hers.
"You had us worried, Nagisa." Yukiko said as she hugged him and the rest of their friends arrived. Yukiko then moved and Rio hugged Nagisa next before kissing him and he saw that she was crying.
"Don't you DARE do that again!" Rio said before hugging her lover closely. Nagisa smiled and held her close and said that he wouldn't.
"How did the landings go?" Nagisa asked Bertrand.
"It went well, with Hawaii being made up of islands, we were able to make the occupying forces surrender." Bertrand told him. Nagisa was wheeled out in a wheelchair and saw that they had captured a lot of prisoners. That made Nagisa smile and said, "ok, let's get onto the mainland USA." But Bertrand stopped him.
"Easy General, we just took Hawaii and reinstated its post-collapse government. We need to make sure our forces are good to go before we actually go." Bertrand said to Nagisa.
"Sighs. Ok, let's get the wounded to safety." Nagisa said. Bertrand nodded his head and showed him to the wounded.
In the mainland States, President Bertrand punched his advisor in his stomach. Keeling over, President Bertrand's advisor Groaned as his wife watched. President Bertrand walked over to his crate and opened it up and forced the man out of it.
"Looks like your time has come to be useful, you weak man." President Bertrand said to the man he pulled out, it was another John Bertrand. John coughed and stood up before looking him dead in the eyes.
"I don't know what you think you will make me do, but when this is over. I will find you and kill you." John said to the man that was pretending to be him.
"Well Mr. President, The Grand Grim Reaper can never be killed. 01, stay here and make sure that this man dies to that goodie two shoes version of me." Said the man who called himself the Grand Grim Reaper. The Advisor slowly stood up and said, "Very well my grand leader."
The GGR then pulled out his own Portal gun and opened a portal before grabbing 01's wife's hand and walking through it.
Back in Hawaii, Nagisa was checking all his men that were wounded and spent time with each of them when he saw Karma on one bed.
"Hey man." Karma said to his friend. Nagisa wheeled up to him and saw that Karma was missing the lower part of his right arm.
"Tripped on a body and a crazy son of a bitch came at me with a machete. Blocked him with my arm and he cut it off. He would have killed me if Yuma didn't shoot the guy in his back. He and Ryu got me to safety as Yukiko got my arm to stop bleeding." Karma said as he looked at the stub that was once his arm.
"If you want Karma, we have the tech in my world to make you a cybernetic hand." Bertrand said as he sat on the other side of the bed Karma laid in.
"You can do that?" Nagisa asked Bertrand, who nodded and sent a text message. That was when another Kotaro Takebayashi walked up to them and saw the missing limb on Karma.
"We got one ready if he wants it." Takebayashi said to Bertrand, who nodded and looked at Karma.
"It's ultimately your choice. Get a robotic hand or not." Bertrand said to karma, who smiled and nodded his head. Bertrand looked at Takebayashi and said, "Get the prosthetic here and ready to attach it."
Takebayashi nodded his head and walked off.
A few days later, Karma was testing his new Prosthetic on a destroyed Bertrand Republic Tank and was becoming a quick expert in its Rocket launcher mode and machine gun mode.
"The Ammo comes directly from a small portal connected to a universe that is making endless ammo for that. The rockets you would need to carry in a knapsack and manually reload before firing as you know." Bertrand said as he and Nagisa watched Karma work. Karma smiled and said, "Nice… shame about the U.S.S. Missouri though."
Bertrand and Nagisa looked where Karma was looking at the half sunken wreck of the WW2 battleship. The Bertrand Republic commandeered it and used its cannons to target the shoreline.
"Yeah, sigh, she was a fine vessel. I wish we didn't have to sink her." Bertrand said he thought he could have done more.
"I know, she was a fine piece of equipment." Nagisa said as he sat in his wheelchair. Bertrand nodded his head as he thought back to when he had to take the ship down.
Bertrand was taking down enemy Tanks when a shell exploded the tank supporting him. Seeing the shell came from the U.S.S. Missouri, he became devastated that he had to take down the famous ship. Bertrand called for helicopter support and several Apache Attack Helicopters came in and did gun runs on the deck as the Anti Air guns on her opened up, taking one Helicopter down. It would have crashed if Bertrand didn't get there in time to land it safely and helped the crew get out.
Bertrand used the Helicopter to smash one of its 16 in (406 mm)/50 cal guns before killing some of the men on the ship when a Jet fired Anti-ship missiles at the Ship, striking it in key areas to make it sink. John quickly moved the ship to settle on the seabed while the Bertrand Republic men abandoned ship.
Back in the current time, Bertrand, who was wearing his body armor through all this, received word that the Bertrand Republic was moving to prepare defenses along the entire Western Seaboard. As the week went by, Nagisa's leg was healed to the point that he could walk and sighed as he watched his men get in the front transports and he was told to not join them.
"This is bullshit. I should be in the fray leading my men." Nagisa said
"Well, it's not my call to make man. I know you want to join them." Bertrand said as he stood next to Nagisa. The young general sighed as he knew that the fight for the mainland would be difficult and they would meet resistance all the way.
"But we have to do this, for peace, freedom, and the rights of human beings," Nagisa said as he took his cane and walked to the command ship. Bertrand then got a call on his communicator and was told that the Bertrand Republic began to prepare its eastern forces to invade Europe. Bertrand cursed under his breath as he knew Europe wouldn't survive against the Bertrand Republic so they needed to hurry and liberate the US from the Reaper's control.
