"Great, just what we needed, the Russians making moves on North America." Nagisa said as he was pissed that the New Russian Empire was on North American soil. Bertrand was not happy about it either. But he knew he had to calm Nagisa down.

"I'm not happy about it either sir, but we need to see what their intentions are. More importantly, they could be a good ally for us dealing with the Bertrand Republic." Bertrand said as he put a cup of coffee on the table by Nagisa.

"Grumbles Fine, We'll talk. But if they demand we give up the land we secured I will NOT hold back!" Nagisa said as he stood up. Bertrand nodded his head in agreement. Later, they sat with Karma and Isogai across a table with 3 Russian commanders with the patch of the New Russian Empire on their left Shoulder, one was a Lieutenant general, the other two were Major generals.

"Greetings, I am Lieutenant General Pashin Petr Fyodorovich of the New Russian Empire 2nd Army Division. These are my sub commanders, Major Generals Ivakin Danila "Danilka" Vasilievich and Shursha Roman "Roma" Andreevich." The Major Generals bowed as Nagisa was told what he said through a translator.

"Greetings Lieutenant General Fyodorovich, Major General Vasilievich, and Major General Andreevich. I am General Nagisa Shiota of the Free Japanese Republic 1st army division and leader of the Allied Japanese forces. This is my second in command, Hunter 01. I trust you and I can come to a mutual understanding, General Fyodorovich."

"Depends on the matter of the subject that you called us here for." General Fyodorovich said as he crossed his arms and leaned back in the chair.

"It's about the Bertrand Republic, we are in the midst of freeing the land they took over. I want to make sure that the people of North America live freely." Nagisa said as he noted how the Russians didn't want to be there.

"Well we are expanding our territory and this Bertrand Republic is a threat that we can handle." General Andreevich said as he crossed his own arms.

"And yet we've been able to liberate California, Oregon, and Washington State while pushing into Nevada, Arizona, and Idaho. What have you been up to?" Bertrand asked the three russians.

"We have liberated Alaska and been making progress in what was once Canada." Said General Vasilievich.

"I see we've been both going strong." Nagisa said.

General Pashin Petr Fyodorovich nodded his head in agreement.

"Indeed, so I guess you wish to join forces" General Fyodorovich guessed, and Nagisa nodded his head.

"It certainly makes sense to do so. We both have plenty of resources, we both have something to offer. What's more, if we were to continue as an alliance, we'd have the same effect on the Republic as if we were not, but we'd also have the benefit of, well, not fighting each other, thus saving us resources, energy, effort, and time." Nagisa said as before letting the Russians speak

General Fyodorovich talked to his men in Russian before looking back at Nagisa and Bertrand.

"Very well General Shiota, we accept your alliance, but if your men attack ours, we will not hold back counter attacks." General Fyodorovich said with glares of intent in his eyes

"Trust me, sir, I have no doubt that any betrayal from any end will only result in a tenfold retaliation." Nagisa said with equal intent in his eyes.

General Fyodorovich and his subordinates stood up, bowed, and walked out. Bertrand stared at them as they left.

"You can't trust they keep their word Nagisa, you have to know that." Bertrand said after taking his helmet off

"Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer, and potential enemies closest. Specifically in range."

"So you think they may plan something to try and get us to strike first?" Bertrand said as he made the connection.

"Maybe. You could never be too careful. Then again, this reigns true in every alliance in war." Nagisa said, thinking about the Allies alliance in WW2.

Bertrand nodded his head as he thought to how the Russians acted in previous Worlds he visited. Later, Bertrand and Nagisa were watching troops march by to commence the new plan.

"We need to take full advantage of our alliance before the enemy realizes what's happening. I already talked with General Fyodorovich, and we agreed on a plan to take down five additional supply bases. We will be taking on the three nearest to us, and they'll be taking the two more fortified." Nagisa said to Bertrand, who nodded his head and noted how the New Russian Empire was using older Russian tanks.

"Nagisa, are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Bertrand asked the General

"Yeah. In terms of technology, they're on the lesser end, be it compared to us or our enemy." Nagisa stated as the two got off the platform they were standing on.

"Yeah, it's as if we're dealing with the Soviet Union on a modern battlefield." Bertrand pointed out as he saw several WW2 tanks too

"Let's not bring that up right now." Nagisa said to the Bounty Hunter. Bertrand nodded his head and let the soldiers march. Meanwhile, General Fyodorovich was at his command tent talking to his commanders.

"Comrade Fyodorovich, you must be a fool for agreeing to an alliance with those inferior Japanese." General Vasilievich said as he pounded a fist on the table.

"Relax Comrade Vasilievich, once we conquer our objectives, we will launch an attack on the Japanese." General Fyodorovich told his upset general. He then said, "Once we've taken out the Bertrand Republic, then they won't be expecting a surprise attack on their flanks, and the main island." unbeknownst to them, one of Bertrand's friends were listening in and heard their plan.

Bertrand and Tomohito were on a patrol when they came across a downed Bertrand Republic fighter Jet. it had received bullet holes in it so Bertrand guessed it got hit in the Engine.

"check for the Pilot, I'll keep watch." Bertrand said as he loaded a round

"You got it." Tomohito said. He loaded a round into his own rifle and cautiously checked inside. He looked around slowly before coming back out.

"No one inside." Tomohito said as he walked back to Bertrand.

"Pilot must have ejected from it before it crashed, radio HQ." Bertrand said as the pilot came out of the bushes with a pistol in hand.

"Look out!" Tomohito spotted the pilot and shoved Bertrand away. The pilot's bullet struck Tomohito in the stomach and knocked him over.

"TOMOHITO!" Shouted Bertrand before unloading his clip into the Pilot. running to Tomohito, he pulled his shirt up and spoke into the radio.

"MAYDAY MAYDAY! ARE THERE ANY FRIENDLY HUMVEES NEAR LATITUDE 35.487252 AND LONGITUDE -115.444507! WE HAVE A MAN DOWN BY GSW TO THE STOMACH AND NEED A MEDIC ASAP!" Bertrand shouted into the radio as he began to apply pressure to Tomohito's wound. He panicked as visions of what happened to his world's Tomohito.

It only took a couple of minutes before a jeep appeared, carrying some of their soldiers. They quickly loaded up Tomohito and sped off to the camp. Yukiko and Kotaro were there, and they instantly escorted Tomohito to the makeshift hospital, with Yukiko silently praying with her eyes squeezed shut.

Bertrand sat on a crate looking at the ground as Nagisa and Karma ran up to him.

"Hey, you okay?" Nagisa asked. When Bertrand nodded, Karma joined in.

"We heard that Tomohito was hit. What happened?" Karma asked Bertrand.

"We came across a downed Bertrand Republic Jet Fighter. I had Tomohito check it while I stood guard. But he said the Pilot wasn't in it. I assumed he ejected from it before he crashed. After I told him to radio HQ the Pilot came out and fired a shot. Tomohito pushed me out of the way and took the bullet in his stomach. I fucking unloaded my clip into the pilot and did what I could while calling for the nearest vehicle. We got him on board and drove here as fast as we could, he was bleeding badly. Yukiko and Kanzaki got him inside... How the hell did I miss the pilot? I should have..." Bertrand said as he began to shed tears. Kanzaki then walked out and removed her mask.

"Tomohito's going to be ok, we managed to stop the bleeding." she said with a smile

"That's good." Nagisa said in relief before turning to Bertrand.

"Don't force yourself into thinking you're responsible for all of our lives. No one is asking you to do that. Instead, just focus on what you can do, and what you can do next time." he said before walking away with Karma to see Tomohito. Tomohito groaned as Yukiko hugged him closely, shedding tears.

"You scared me half to death, Tomohito Sugino." Yukiko said as she rubbed her face in his shoulder

"Ugh... Yeah. Sorry." Tomohito said as he rubbed the back of his head

"You're forgiven. but I swear I'm going to kill the next person who attempts to kill my future Husband..." Yukiko said before blushing hard and covering her mouth. Tomohito also blushed too at that comment.

"Oh, that's precious." Karma snickered, revealing he and Nagisa had been listening.

"Don't worry. We all knew where this was going." Nagisa said, trying to reassure them but accidently teasing them.

Yukiko blushed harder and laid on the side where the bullet wound wasn't.

"But in all seriousness man, how are you feeling?" Nagisa asked as he sat on the side of Tomohito's bed.

"Like hell. So I'm basically back at Kunugigaoka pre-Korosensei." Tomohito joked.

Nagisa chuckled and patted Tomohito's shoulder as Yada came in.

"Hello you four." Yada said as her bust bounced, making the three guys all blush hard.

"You forgot your bra." Yukiko giggled slightly, making Yada blush with the realization.

Yada nervously chuckled before saying, "Moving on, I heard what happened from my husband, thank you for saving him, Tomohito."

"No problem." Tomohito said. Yada then kissed his cheek, making Yukiko smile. Yada then looked at Nagisa.

"Nagisa, a word please." Yada said to the general

"Sure." Nagisa followed Yada outside of the makeshift building and to the edge of the camp. Yada sat down with Nagisa next to her. She then began their conversation

"As you probably saw, my husband was upset about what happened." Yada said as she thought about how she saw her husband

"Yeah?" Nagisa said in confusion.

"Well to be honest, our Tomohito also took a bullet for him. happened 2 years after forming the hunter Classroom. they were staking out a target before busting in there. John had the target on the ground when one of the henchmen appeared to shoot at John. Tomohito pushed John down and got hit in the chest. After finishing tying up the target, John rushed Tomohito to the hospital after shooting the guy who fired the shot. Tomohito was in rough shape and John visited him everyday." Yada said to Nagisa.

"I see. That would explain his reaction."

"indeed. He worried Tomohito wouldn't make it. In fact he was touch and go for some time. John never gave up on him. He even donated some blood to help Tomohito. But he doesn't like it when he is the cause of his friends and comrades getting hurt. He feels somewhat responsible."

"It sounds like he has a sort of a complex. Because he's strong, he feels like it's his responsibility to make sure no one is ever hurt."

Yada sighed and nodded her head.

"He's just got a big heart is all. He cares for those who he considers his friends, Family, comrades in arms, Etc." She added on

"It's not a bad thing for us, but it is a bad thing for him. I think it'd be best if he took some time off of the field. Maybe a week or two, in order to help calm himself." Nagisa suggested to her

"I agree, I'll take him home. Thank you for hearing me out, Nagisa." Yada said before kissing his cheek

"No problem." Nagisa said as she walked away. He sighed before taking out his silenced pistol and shooting behind him a few times. A couple bodies dropped, revealing themselves to be Bertrand Republic Spies.

'Constant Vigilance. We're ending this war.' he thought as he called someone to clear the bodies and for extra guards.

The Following Day, Akabane walked up to Nagisa.

"Hunter 02 reporting in. Toka and I agreed I'll be taking over John's spot until he comes back

"Good to have you on." Nagisa said. "Another Karma will definitely help out."

"Not to worry dude. Happy to be here, I'm one of John's closest friends in the group and one of the co leaders. so I know what to do. Now then. I saw we get some prisoners and stick Wasabi up their noses. That way they know we mean business." Akabane said with that trademark smile of his

'He's a Karma alright.' Nagisa sweatdropped.

"General, sub commander, we have forces reaching Las Vegas." Said a comm soldier to them.

"Enemy troops?" Nagisa asked the soldier

"We are getting reports that there are some enemy soldiers holding the city." Replied the comms officer.

"Let's take the remnants of Las Vegas." Akabane said to Nagisa. He then said, "From there we can take prisoners and smash Wasabi in their eyes and noses. the screams will demoralize the enemy soldiers into giving up."

"Take things seriously or I'll ask for Hunter 03 to replace you." Nagisa said.

"This is my serious face." Akabane said with a smile

"Then please be serious." Nagisa said, staring at Akabane.

"Fine... we take prisoners, and if they refuse to talk, show them videos of what happens if they refuse to talk. " Akabane suggested.

Nagisa deadpanned before turning away.

"No cruel and unusual punishment." Nagisa said to Akabane

"ok." Akabane said as he crossed his arms. Meanwhile, Karma and Ryu were leading the charge in taking Las Vegas.

"DAMN! THESE FUCKERS AREN'T LETTING UP!" Ryu shouted as he fired a sniper round at an enemy soldier's head.

"Well, that's what happens when you work for crazy!" Karma said as he shot someone off their perch, knocking them into someone else.

"True. but still these asswipes should know better than to try and stop us." Ryu said as he shot a motorcycle rider off his bike

"Don't get cocky." Karma reminded as he returned fire. The two heard a roar in the distance, and saw as their allies appeared in vehicles.

"Like I'd get cocky." Ryu said as he watched an allied Tank roll by. Soon the tanks quickly opened fire on the enemy while foot soldiers began moving in.

"PUSH UP! TAKE VEGAS!" Shouted Ryu as he led the foot soldiers into the city. A hour later, Las Vegas was liberated and Akabane walked with Nagisa as they saw the bodies of the fallen

"There's still too much death, but we can see this as a sign that the war will likely reach its end soon enough. Soon, we'll go after the head." Nagisa said.

Akabane agreed and noticed that there were West Coast Republic bodies that were clearly rotting so he covered his nose.

"We'll have to burn quite a few bodies. there isn't enough time or energy to bury them all." Nagisa said.

"ARE YOU INSENSITIVE?!" Shouted a West Coast Republic Resistance fighter. He walked up to the two.

"These men gave their lives so that the government can go and ask for your help and you want to burn bodies?!"

"Given your reaction, I suppose we do have enough resources and energy to deal with them in a more appropriate manner. That's a relief." Nagisa said. "I was concerned that the state of this place was an indicator that we'd have to make a funeral through cremation."

"Will you be willing to aid us in this regard?"

"Of course, we're West Coast Republic citizens, these men gave their lives so we could live on. Burying them would be an honor." the Resistance fighter said as the others joined him

As the West Coast Republic resistance fighters got to work burying the bodies, Nagisa and Akabane looked at them as they did

"Well, glad that de-escalated fast enough." Nagisa said.

Akabane nodded his head and looked on.

"Yeah, from their point of view, the idea was a little hurtful. Though burning bodies was a honorable way to go back in the Nordic days."

"Hm."

"I would have supported any choice you made, General. Anyway, I have an idea to boost morale more."

"what would that be?"

"In one world we visited, there's this singer who can make anyone happy jsut by singing

"Really now?"

"Hey, back in her world, her singing united people fast to get goals done." Akabane said as he crossed his arms.

"We've been pushing hard against the Bertrand Republic and some of the men are tired and exhausted. We need something to cheer them up."

"Sure. That sounds nice."

"I'll give her a call." Akabane said as he walked off.

Later, the men were gathered in front of a makeshift stage.

Akabane walked onto the stage and smiled.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, to make you all feel better, I present to you. Lillian Weinberg!" he said as he stepped to the side as a blonde woman in a gorgeous dress walked forward and behind her were musicians. She got to the mic and as the music began, she sang.

"Nowhere to turn

Nagisa looked around at the cheering crowd with a small grin.

"Well, that certainly helped out." he said as he smelled at the reinvigorated men

"Told you." Akabane said with a smile at the singer from the Anime DR. Stone.

Later, Akabane and nagisa were looking over a map.

"Alright, now that we've taken care of the resource bases around us, we move onto the barracks." Nagisa said as he pointed to the map. Akabane nodded his head and noticed his watch was going off, making him smile.

"Three, two, one... zero" said Akavane as Bertrand walked into the tent with his wife, who was wearing.a bra this time. Nagisa and Akabane smiled at Bertrand and nagisa walked up to Bertrand.

"Hello, Bertrand. How do you feel now?" Nagisa asked the Bounty Hunter.

"I feel ready to resume my role as your second in command." Bertrand replied with determination. That was when Akabane walked up to them

"Hey John, you missed Lillian singing." Akabane said in a tease. Bertrand's jaw dropped

"Aw I did? Damn it." he said, disappointed, and Nagisa noted that.

"It's not that big of a deal, since we recorded it. Unless you two are together in anyway." he said

"What? No, I'm just a big fan of hers. I'd never do interuniversal sex, not outside of discord anyway." Bertrand said, breaking the fourth wall.

"I'm sorry, what?" Nagisa asked, not aware of the fourth wall, Bertrand sweatdropped

"Nevermind, so what's the plan today?" Bertrand said as he looked at the map.

"We'll be attacking nearby soldier encampments. Now that we've crippled their resources, we can focus on soldiers. Once we're done, we move forward to the next area."

Bertrand nodded his head as he looked at the map and pointed to a spot on it.

"Drones showed us Machine gun nests at this crossroads. Any infantry that walks down these roads will get mowed down."

"How much can they turn?"

"Well depending on whether or not there's stuff blocking the way it varies." Bertrand said as he brought up the photo from the drones.

"But judging from the aerial photos, best estimates are 45 degrees either way if the machine gun faces forward

"Hm. In that case, we have three options. We use the tanks, we go around, or we attack from above."

"There's a fourth option, attack from below," Akabane said with a smirk.

"Then we risk the ground collapsing. But it is a strategy for defense."

"Right, however, the Machine Gun nests might have Anti-Tank capabilities. best to save them for later. and based on the trees they could have mined the forest. No, we have to attack from above." Bertrand said as he looked at the map more

"Mobile mortars. It's not a big enough threat to sacrifice our element of surprise."

Bertrand nodded his head and sent a team of mortars to take the Nests down. Meanwhile, Tomohito was recovering in the rear as Yukiko walked up to him, holding a box in her hands behind her back.
