It's time for another episode of SLTS: Season 3! I know this is very late and that I've been gone awhile. Explanation? Life. That's about it. Anyways, here's to hoping this is a better year for all of my stories.
REVIEWS
Killerbull55858 - Are you referring to the screwball ice cream brand?
Indoraptorman101 - Thank you. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as well.
Matthew Crispin - Your idea is very interesting. I'll definitely save it for now. I'm not sure when or how I could use it but we'll see what happens in the future.
JTWAS1994 - Thank you. I hope you enjoy this episode as well.
J - Yeah I wanted to go with a different storyline for this season's Christmas special. I'm glad you liked it. To answer your questions: No, Sherri is not related to Meli. Ramos is her maiden name. Daryl and Grace don't have any powers. They're normal. Sherri only acquired powers after ingesting a super pill from the mysterious seller of these super drugs. Sherri will most likely be coming back in the future. Probably not to be a full-time hero but she will assist Super Thunder here and there.
Starlight 4eva - Hey there! I'm glad you're loving the story. There's a special episode involving Lucy that's coming up pretty soon actually. I think you'll be very intrigued by it when it is released. I can't say much else because I don't want to spoil anything but I hope you'll stick around!
Okay guys. Let's jump into the first episode for the new year. I'll catch you at the end! Reviews and constructive criticism welcome!
NB: Credit goes to Indy Scott for the villain used in this episode.
Disclaimer: I do not own the Loud House. All rights belong to Nickelodeon.
NB: The theme song is "Thunder" by Imagine Dragons, with my own little twist in the lyrics. It follows the same tune though, of course. I felt like the song fit perfectly with the series so, here we are. You can kind of imagine Lincoln singing the lyrics if you like, as I feel they're sort of based off of him.
Theme Song
Just a young gun with a quick fuse
I was uptight, wanna let loose
I was dreaming of bigger things
And wanna leave my old life behind
Not a yes sir, not a follower
Fit the box, fit the mold
Don my mask and attire, my new persona
I was "Lightning" before the "Thunder"
Thunder, thunder
Thunder, thun- thunder
Thun-thun-thunder, thunder, thunder
Thunder, thun-thunder
Thun-thun-thunder, thunder
Thunder, feel the Thunder!
Lightning and Super Thunder!
Thunder, feel the Thunder!
Lightning and Super Thunder!
Thunder, thunder
Thunder!
Episode 4: An Ace in a Hole
It was Friday afternoon at Royal Woods Mall and preparations were well underway to get the Ace Savvy comic book convention, Savvy Con, ready for tomorrow.
"I'm telling you Keith, you have nothing to worry about. There's gonna be hundreds of kids here tomorrow to see Ace Savvy." said a bulky man with orange curly hair.
"Hmph. I remember a time when it used to be thousands. Face it Miles. Ace Savvy is falling off. Kids are flocking to the new age superheroes nowadays." said Keith, a middle aged man wearing a gray business suit.
"Not all of them. There will still be some kids here tomorrow who came to see their ol' pal Ace." said Miles, with confidence.
"Well, if you can sell it to yourself then I guess it's not a total loss." said Keith.
"Here you go Miles. Your costume just came in from dry cleaning." said a female staff worker, handing Miles his Ace Savvy costume.
"Alright! I better go try this on to make sure it still fits. I gotta be in prime condition to deal out some justice!" said Miles, before sprinting off towards the bathroom with the costume in hand.
Keith just let out a sigh before heading back through the entrance to Savvy Con to check on the preparations.
Meanwhile, Lincoln and Clyde had just arrived to the mall and were really excited about the convention tomorrow.
"Oh man! This year's Savvy Con is looking to be the best one yet!" said Lincoln.
"I'll say! I hope I can get an autograph from One Eyed Jack this time. The line for him was halfway across the convention last year!" said Clyde.
"Hmm...maybe your nanites could help you out. You could go subatomic and pop up at the front of the line!" said Lincoln.
"Lincoln! Shh! (in a whisper) I can't do that! That's cheating! And not very hero-like." said Clyde.
"I'm just messing with you Clyde. We'll just have to get to the convention even earlier than before! Nothing's gonna mess up this year." said Lincoln confidently.
"Outta my way!" exclaimed a hooded man suddenly, as he ran through Lincoln and Clyde carrying a box in his hands.
"Hey! What gives?" asked Clyde.
"Stop him! Someone stop him! He stole our Ace Savvy merchandise!" exclaimed the female staff worker from before.
Just then, Miles had come out of the bathroom, now dressed in his Ace Savvy costume.
"How do I look?" asked Miles.
"No time for that Miles! Go after that hoodlum that stole my merchandise!" exclaimed Keith.
Miles turned his head to see the thief starting to get away.
"*narrows his eyes* It's time to deal out some justice!" said Miles, as he sprinted off in pursuit of the thief.
"We should help too Clyde. That thief's already got a huge head start!" said Lincoln.
"You're right!" said Clyde.
"(in unison) It's time for NiteLight!" said the boys before sprinting off themselves.
Meanwhile, the thief was running aimlessly throughout the mall, passing confused and scared shoppers along the way. Eventually, he made it to the base of an escalator. Just as he was about to step on however...
*electric rope is tied around his ankles and trips him down*
"Going somewhere?" said Lightning, appearing from a ceiling light.
The thief responded to this by tripping Lightning down and then grabbing the box of merch as he made his way up the escalator. He was able to remove the electric rope because of the rubber gloves he was wearing.
"*grunts* Who gave all these criminals the memo about rubber?" asked Lightning to himself before disappearing as an electric current.
Meanwhile, Miles was still chasing the thief but was stuck on the adjacent escalator.
"Um, excuse me ma'am, I don't mean to rush you but I'm-"
"Huh?! What?! What are you saying?!" shouted the elderly woman.
"I-"
"I can't hear you! My hearing aid's acting up." said the elderly woman.
Miles simply frowned as he waited impatiently for the escalator to reach the second floor.
Meanwhile, Techmite was still hot on the thief's trail.
"Lightning! The thief is still on the move! He's heading towards the hot dog stand!" said Techmite, currently flying around microscopic.
"Hope he likes his hot dogs fried!" said Lightning.
Before the thief could run past the hot dog stand, a lightning bolt struck the ground in front of him, blindsiding him. The box of merchandise was sent flying through the air but was luckily caught by Lightning.
"*reverts back to normal size* Nanites! Form chains!" said Techmite, as some of his nanites formed chains that bound the disoriented thief.
He then fell to the ground, stunned and defeated.
"*panting as he runs up* Finally made it! Now, what did I miss?" asked Miles.
Just then, the surrounding spectators started cheering and clapping for Lightning and Techmite. Little kids seemed to be especially intrigued by what they saw.
"You got my merchandise back! Oh thank you Lightning and uh..."
"Techmite." said Techmite.
"Right! Lightning and Techmite! Say, you two are quite the duo huh?" said Keith, who suddenly came up with an idea after seeing the expressions on the kids' faces.
"Hey, do you boys mind coming back to my office? I have an interesting proposal for both of you." said Keith.
"Sure! The mall cops are here anyways." said Lightning.
"Nanites! Cease chain formation!" said Techmite.
The nanites then released their hold on the thief.
"He's all yours gentlemen." said Techmite, as the mall cops came in and placed handcuffs on the thief.
As the thief was led away, Lightning and Techmite followed behind Keith, heading back to his office.
However, Miles was feeling a bit confused.
"Uh Keith?...Wait up!" said Miles, as he chased after them.
Back at Keith's office...
"I can't thank you boys enough for getting my merchandise back for me. However, this whole situation may have turned out to be beneficial for all of us." said Keith.
"What do you mean?" asked Lightning.
"Well, I guess I better start over. My name is Keith Irving. I am the manager in charge of Savvy Con and all Ace Savvy related conventions. However, for the past few years, Savvy Con's attendance numbers have been slowly dwindling. I think you boys could agree that the reason for this could be the arrival of all these new superheroes in Royal Woods. I mean, after all kids would most likely be interested in heroes they can see, rather than ones who only exist in a comic book." said Keith Irving.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." said Lightning.
"So where is this going Mr. Irving?" asked Techmite.
"Boys, here is my proposal. For this year's Savvy Con, I want you two to take Ace Savvy's place. You know sign autographs, answer questions, maybe even put on a little action show for the kids. What do you think?" asked Keith Irving.
"Whoa, Mr. Irving that's-"
"Crazy! I mean, you really want us to replace Ace Savvy? He's like a staple of hero history! There's still kids out there who appreciate him." said Lightning, cutting off Techmite's statement.
"Yeah, well, not enough. Look boys, I understand that there are still Ace Savvy fans out there, but the majority of kids in this town are enamored with the new heroes. You know, Super Thunder and even that spider girl in Great Lakes. If I don't make any changes to this convention now, Savvy Con may not even return next year." said Keith Irving.
Lightning and Techmite just gasped. They couldn't bear the thought of losing their beloved convention.
"Mr. Irving? We accept your proposal." said Lightning.
"Really?" said Keith Irving ecstatic.
"Yup! We're your guys for this year's Savvy Con! Although, I guess the convention's gonna need a new name now." said Techmite.
"You're right...I've got it! Thunder Con! What do you think?" asked Keith Irving.
"That sounds awesome!" said Lightning.
"Excellent!" said Keith Irving.
"(over communicator) Lincoln! Where are you? It's getting late and dinner's almost ready! Hurry up and get home okay?" said Lynn Sr.
"Uh, this has been great Mr. Irving, but I have to go. Another emergency calls." said Lightning.
"Oh of course. I understand. Just promise you and uh..."
"Techmite." said Techmite.
"...Techmite here will be here tomorrow at around 10 AM?" said Keith Irving.
"We'll be here!" said Lightning.
"Thank you boys. Take care now!" said Keith Irving, as Lightning and Techmite left his office.
As soon as they left his office however, Miles suddenly burst in.
"Miles..." said Keith Irving surprised.
"Keith, you can't do this to me! You can't replace Ace! Kids need me!" exclaimed Miles upset.
"I'm sorry Miles. It's already been decided. Ace is old now and Lightning and his friend there are new. It's time to move on from the past." said Keith Irving.
"But, but, how am I supposed to pay my school fees Keith? Pay for my apartment? I need this job Keith! I have nothing else!" said Miles.
"Oh come on now Miles. You're a smart guy. I'm sure you'll find another job in no time. There's just no more use for you here. I'm sorry." said Keith Irving.
"...Alright. I'll leave. I'll deal myself out." said Miles, turning to leave.
"Oh! Miles!" said Keith Irving suddenly.
Miles turned around quickly to see Keith extending the box of Ace Savvy merchandise out to him.
"Here, uh...you might as well have these. We have no use for them now." said Keith Irving.
Miles fought back tears as he reluctantly took the box and left Keith's office.
Later that night at the Loud House, the Louds were having dinner and discussing prior events that happened at the mall.
"So let me get this straight. You and Clyde stopped some guy from stealing Ace Savvy merch and now the manager wants you guys to replace Ace Savvy?" asked Lynn.
"Yeah, more or less." said Lincoln.
"But Linky, I thought you loved Ace Savvy!" said Leni.
"I do Leni. I'll always love Ace Savvy, but if me and Clyde don't do this, Savvy Con might not exist next year." said Lincoln.
"Pshh! What's the big deal? Like we can't handle one lame superhero convention disappearing." said Lola, in a snarky tone.
"Lola, that's the equivalent of all the makeup in the world disappearing tomorrow. Would you be able to handle that?" asked Lincoln.
"Uh...never mind." said Lola.
"So what will you and Clyde be doing at the convention tomorrow sweetie?" asked Rita.
"We're just gonna sign some autographs and answer some fan questions. The manager also mentioned doing an action show but I don't think that's likely to happen." said Lincoln.
"Why not Linc? You should give these kids a real LIGHT SHOW. Hahahaha! Get it?" joked Luan.
Everyone groaned as usual.
"Anyways, since you and Clyde are replacing the Ace Savvy guy, what's he gonna do now?" asked Luna.
"I'm not sure. I didn't really think about it." said Lincoln, with a glum expression on his face.
"What's wrong son?" asked Lynn Sr.
"I don't know. I just feel like I was sort of responsible for the Ace Savvy actor getting fired. Me and Clyde kinda overshadowed him when we caught that thief today." said Lincoln.
"You were just doing what heroes do Linc. Saving the day." said Lana.
"Yeah. I don't think you should fault yourself for that bro." said Lynn.
"Yeah, maybe you're right." said Lincoln, still thinking about the situation.
*oven timer sounds*
"Ooh! The dessert's done! Who wants apple pie?" asked Lynn Sr.
While the other Loud kids started cheering excitedly for their father's pie, Lincoln still sat almost motionless really trying to shake this guilty feeling from his conscience.
Meanwhile, at a moderate looking apartment in Fern Valley...
"*sniffles* Well, looks like I've been flushed ol' friend." said Miles, looking at his Ace Savvy costume.
As he stared at the costume in front of him, his tears started flowing even more and then his sadness quickly turned into anger.
"*suddenly yells and rips a piece of his cape off* How could he do this to me?! I've been Ace Savvy for years! And he just replaces me without another word?" said Miles clearly angry.
Miles started pacing around his apartment until his eyes came to rest on his box of Ace Savvy merchandise. Upon closer inspection, the box seemed to be filled with a bunch of Ace Savvy prop weapons.
"*wipes his tears away* You know what? Screw that. I'm bringing in my own suit." said Miles, as he suddenly grabbed the box of props and went to work.
At this point, a montage of sorts takes place as Miles is seen with goggles and a lab coat on, coating some of the Ace Savvy playing cards in a mysterious substance.
"*laughs* Maybe I should've majored in chemistry." said Miles.
He then took the rest of the cards and sharpened their edges using a whetstone.
"*touches an edge of the card* Yowch! Oh yeah. These cards will make my point." said Miles.
Miles is then seen loading poker chips into specially made guns made to shoot them.
"*test fires the guns* Hmph. I'm all-in." said Miles.
Then, Miles took his Ace Savvy costume and made several more holes and tears in his once trademark cape. He then replaced the spade emblem with a skull with an 'A' in the center.
"Look out Keith. You're gonna regret burying my card." said Miles, with a sinister look on his face.
The next day, at the Royal Woods Mall...
"Whoa..." said Techmite.
"I don't believe it..." said Lightning astonished.
The boys looked around and saw that the once Ace Savvy themed convention had done a complete 360 overnight. The convention was now decorated with lightning bolt and nanite balloons, orange, yellow and silver streamers, and the sign that once said 'Savvy Con' had been changed to 'Thunder Con'.
"Well boys? What do you think?" asked Keith Irving.
"This is incredible Mr. Irving! How did you guys manage to do this so fast?" asked Techmite.
"I had my staff working overnight to get the decorations done in time. We also had to print fliers to get the word out." said Keith Irving.
"How many kids do you think are gonna show up?" asked Lightning.
"According to these numbers, I'd say roughly about 300." said Keith Irving.
"300?!" exclaimed Lightning shocked.
"O...kay. Take a deep breath now. Don't panic. Don't panic." said Techmite to himself.
"I can see you boys are a little nervous but don't worry! You're about to make a dream a reality for hundreds of kids today! They're about to meet real life superheroes in person! There's nothing better than that!" said Keith Irving.
"Mr. Irving, the Lightning and Techmite merchandise just arrived." said the female staff worker.
"Oh perfect! Excuse me boys, I have to check on this. You guys just relax and try to calm your nerves. The convention starts in less than half an hour!" said Keith Irving, as he walked away from the heroes.
"*inhales deeply and then exhales* Okay. I feel much better. Thank goodness for those breathing techniques Dr. Lopez prescribed." said Techmite.
Techmite looked over and saw that Lightning was just staring off into space.
"Uh...Lightning? You okay buddy?" asked Techmite.
"Huh?...Oh. Sorry Tech. I zoned out for a second." said Lightning.
"What were you thinking about?" asked Techmite.
"This convention! Tech, I know this is an amazing opportunity for both of us but...I just can't shake this guilty feeling that we were the reason the Ace Savvy actor got fired." said Lightning.
"Well, he didn't really get fired. He got replaced." said Techmite.
"It's essentially the same thing." said Lightning.
"Look buddy, I get where you're coming from. I feel guilty too. I love Ace just as much as you do, but that's also why I feel like we were the only ones who could do this. Think about it. If we didn't agree to replace Ace, Savvy Con would be gone forever! I don't wanna ruin the memory of a kid's first hero convention! These things are special! And we should make it special for the kids." said Techmite.
"You're right Tech...I think if the real Ace Savvy were here, he'd want us to do this too." said Lightning.
"And if the real One Eyed Jack were here, I think he'd say that it's okay to shuffle our hands sometimes." said Techmite.
Lightning and Techmite then started laughing as they walked off to get ready for the convention.
Within the hour, Thunder Con was ready to open and as Keith Irving had said, hundreds of kids were waiting in line for this.
"*turns on megaphone* Kids and fans of heroes of all ages! Welcome to the grand opening of the first ever Thunder Con!" said Keith Irving.
The crowd started cheering as Keith cut a ribbon using a giant pair of scissors, officially opening the place.
"Tickets please!" said the female staff worker, collecting tickets at the front.
A few minutes later, the convention was swarming with kids and they all seemed to be rushing to one place.
*screaming children are heard approaching*
"Here they come." said Lightning and Techmite in unison.
Meanwhile, peering in through the skylight of the mall...
"Those are my pals..." said a mystery figure.
"Okay kids! One at a time! One at a time! I'll answer questions while Lightning gives you all autographs." said Techmite.
"From Lightning to Wyatt. Keep bringing the Thunder. There you go!" said Lightning, signing a kid's "Lightning" cape.
"Thank you Lightning! I'll remember this forever!" said Wyatt, as he ran off to check out the rest of the convention.
Lightning couldn't help but smile. Unfortunately, this moment was quickly ruined by a sudden explosion.
*crowd of kids scream in panic*
Lightning and Techmite looked up to the ceiling and saw a cloud of smoke surrounding the center.
"*notices broken glass on the ground* Hey, isn't the skylight up above here?" asked Techmite.
"Yeah...someone must've-"
Before Lightning could finish his sentence, a razor sharp playing card came flying out of the smoke and Lightning narrowly dodged it by a split second.
"What was that?!" asked Techmite startled.
"*smirks* That...was my trump card."
Suddenly, the mystery figure from earlier dropped down in the midst of everyone from the hole in the roof.
Lightning immediately gasped upon realizing who was behind this explosion.
"Miles?..." said Lightning, in disbelief.
Most of the smoke had cleared away by this point, revealing the mystery figure to be none other than Miles, though he was now wearing his reinvented version of his Ace Savvy costume, had two poker chip guns holstered to his side and a carrying case of sorts was attached to his belt at the front. The skull with an A emblem was decorating the front of the case.
"Uh-uh kid. I'm Ace Savage." said Miles, now revealing himself to be Ace Savage.
"Wha...Ace Savage? You can't do that! You're disgracing the name of Ace Savvy!" said Techmite.
"You two disgraced the name of Ace Savvy when you got me fired from this place! Now, Ace Savvy is dead. But don't worry, Savage still has a few tricks up his sleeves." said Ace Savage.
"What is going on here?...Miles?" said Keith Irving, arriving upon hearing the commotion.
"I'm surprised you remembered my name. I thought I was irrelevant." said Ace Savage.
"Miles, what is the meaning of this?" asked Keith Irving.
"It's not Miles anymore. It's Ace Savage, Irving. I'm playing a different game now, so you better ante up cause I'm placing my bets." said Ace Savage, as he reached into his carrying case and threw three more razor sharp playing cards at Keith Irving.
Luckily for him, Lightning sprang into action and pulled him out of harm's way before he could get sliced.
"Oh no..." said Techmite.
"Miles! Are you crazy?!" exclaimed Keith.
"Nah, I'm a savage. *pulls out another card* And this convention is history." said Ace Savage, as he pulled out a lighter and set fire to the card he pulled out.
Lightning quickly put two and two together and realized what this card really was.
"NO!" exclaimed Lightning, as he leapt towards the card just as it exploded.
"Nanites! Barrier!" exclaimed Techmite, as some of his nanites created a barrier to shield him and the kids from the explosion.
A few seconds later, everything was quiet and the entire area was now covered under thick smoke.
"Nanites! *coughs* Cease barrier formation!" said Techmite, as the nanites complied to his order.
Techmite couldn't really see much in front of him due to the smoke, but he didn't have to walk far to see something that made his heart drop.
"Oh no. No. No. NO! NO! Lightning! Buddy! Are you there?!" said Techmite, as he frantically rushed to Lightning's side.
"*checks for a pulse* Okay! He still has a pulse! But we need help! *looks back at the scared kids* Don't worry kids, everything's gonna be fine. Nanites! Dome!" said Techmite, as his nanites formed a dome around the kids to protect them from any other explosions.
"Now I gotta call Super Thunder..." said Techmite, activating his communicator.
*nanites form into a baseball mitt to block another razor sharp playing card*
"What's the matter? You can't deal? You need to bring the full house?" said Ace Savage, though Techmite couldn't see where he was due to all the smoke.
"We gotta move Lightning!" said Techmite, as he picked his best friend up, threw him over his shoulder and took off running through the smoke.
Meanwhile with the rest of Super Thunder...
*Thunderbolt is en route to the Royal Woods Mall*
"So what's going on at the mall?" asked Invisi-Girl worried.
"The Chief said a call came in a couple minutes ago reporting an explosion at the mall." said Mr. Elastic.
"An explosion?" said Freeze surprised.
"Wait! Lincoln was at the mall today!" said Powerhouse.
"And Clyde!" said Light Show.
"Oh I hope they're not hurt..." said Ms. Shift worried.
"Hello? Can anyone hear me?"
"*gasps* It's Clyde!" exclaimed Invisi-Girl.
"We hear you Clyde! What's going on?" said Mr. Elastic.
"The Ace Savvy actor has gone nuts! He's turned into a villain and is attacking the convention! Lightning got knocked out after getting caught by the explosion!" said Techmite.
"Don't worry Clyde! We're almost there! I'm gonna give this guy the roundhouse he deserves!" said Powerhouse.
"Keep Lightning safe until we get there Clyde!" said Ms. Shift.
"Oh I will Mrs. Loud!" said Techmite.
"I think some of you kids should go ahead to get a handle on the situation. We don't need things getting anymore out of control." said Mr. Elastic.
"I concur father. Seeing as how were a still a good distance away from the mall." said Super Sense, using her super sight to see ahead of them.
"Right! So, Freeze, Amp, Powerhouse, Invisi-Girl and Remedy. You guys gotta help out Lincoln and Clyde in the mall." said Mr. Elastic.
"You got it Pops." said The Amp, as she used her ejector seat to launch herself out of the Thunderbolt.
Freeze, Powerhouse, Invisi-Girl and Remedy followed behind her.
Meanwhile with Techmite...
"Lightning! You've gotta wake up buddy! Come on!" said Techmite worried.
"*walks up* Face it kid. Your friend there is as good as a dead card." said Ace Savage.
"*growls* Why are you doing this?!" exclaimed Techmite.
"It's just the fall of the cards. Your friend's down for the count, and now so are you." said Ace Savage, as he suddenly threw several razor sharp cards at Techmite.
"Nanites! Sword!"
The nanites formed into a sword and quickly sliced up the incoming cards.
"*takes the sword in his hands* Alright Savage, now you face my might." said Techmite, as he rushed forward swinging with the sword.
Ace Savage responded by sidestepping out of the way at the last second and tripping Techmite down. Techmite then turned over to see Savage aiming his poker chip guns at him.
*Techmite scrambles around to try and dodge the poker chips*
All of a sudden however, Ace Savage seemed to be stuck in a state of paralysis.
"*gasps* Lightning!" exclaimed Techmite.
Lightning smiled before forming electric ropes around Ace Savage.
"Sorry Savage, but I have to cut you off." said Lightning, walking around to face him.
"Lightning! You're okay! I thought you were gone buddy!" said Techmite.
"I'm fine Tech." said Lightning, with reassurance.
*Ace Savage struggles against his trappings but gets shocked*
"There's no escape Savage. You might as well give up." said Lightning.
"*grunts* No way! I've got one last card to draw!" said Ace Savage, as he suddenly brandished a card in his left hand.
"What? Where'd that card come from?" said Techmite surprised.
Rather than giving an answer, Ace Savage suddenly flicked the card up into the air and it made contact with the electric ropes around him.
"*gasps* Tech! Activate-"
Another explosion suddenly rang out within the convention. Lightning thought that he and Techmite were done for when he realized that he was still standing.
"Huh?" said Lightning confused.
"*suddenly appears* Nobody hurts my brother! Or his best friend." said Invisi-Girl, who had protected the boys by creating a forcefield.
"IG! Great timing!" said Techmite.
Just then, a shockwave rippled through the area dispersing some of the smoke.
"Yo! You dudes alright?" asked The Amp concerned.
"We're fine Amp." said Lightning.
"Alright! Where is this guy? My fist would like to have a word with him." said Powerhouse, joining the group with Freeze and Remedy not too far behind.
"*body suddenly glows lavender before fading away* There!" exclaimed Remedy, running forward.
"Rem! Wait!" said Freeze, skating after her.
Freeze quickly stopped in her tracks however, when she discovered why Remedy had run forward.
*the other heroes present run up as well*
"O-M-Gosh..." said Invisi-Girl, in shock.
"Yikes. Yo, we need medics in here dudes!" said the Amp.
"I'll send out the call." said Powerhouse, activating her communicator.
The rest of the group just stood there, still in shock at what they were seeing. There lying before them was the unconscious body of Ace Savage. He had gotten serious third degree burns from the explosion and most of his costume and weapons had been reduced to ash.
*Remedy places her hands on him to attempt to heal him but the process is slow*
"*closes his eyes* I'm sorry Miles." said Lightning, to himself.
Later that night...
Lincoln is sitting on his bed in his room, staring ahead at the wall in front of him.
"*suddenly grows to normal size and takes off his helmet* Hey buddy." said Clyde.
"Hey." said Lincoln glum.
"It's not your fault Lincoln." said Clyde, trying to cheer his best friend up.
"*sighs* I know Clyde...but I still feel guilty. I never wanted any of this to happen! Savvy Con or Thunder Con, both were ruined today." said Lincoln.
"Yeah, but at least we were there to stop the situation from getting any worse. *pauses* Lincoln, we're both heroes now. We may still admire Ace Savvy but that wasn't him today. It was our duty to stop him from hurting anyone at the convention...I realized something today Lincoln. As heroes, sometimes instead of doing what we want to do, we have to do what's right." said Clyde, putting his helmet back on.
"Anyway, I gotta go buddy. My dads should be finished with dinner. See you around." said Clyde, as he suddenly went subatomic and disappeared.
"Instead of doing what we want to do, we have to do what's right..." said Lincoln, repeating Clyde's message to himself.
He suddenly hopped off of his bed and walked over to his clothes rack. He pulled his Ace Savvy costume down and stared at it in his hands.
"*sighs* I'll always love you Ace...but I have to be my own hero." said Lightning, as he hung the costume back up on the rack.
"*knocks before entering* Hey bro, Pops just finished dinner." said Luna.
"Thanks Luna." said Lincoln.
"You okay?" asked Luna.
"Yeah. I'm fine. Come on, let's eat!" said Lincoln, as he and Luna left his bedroom to head downstairs for the dining room.
Meanwhile at Royal Woods Hospital...
*nurse walks by a room but quickly runs back*
"*gasps* Code yellow! Code yellow!" exclaimed the nurse, into the PA system.
The hospital room she was in currently belonged to Miles Norway, a.k.a. Ace Savage. However, no one was in the room now. The only thing left on Miles' hospital bed was a Joker card.
Meanwhile with Ace Savage...
"*grunting* I'm not going out like that. *pants* Ace Savage doesn't fold!" said Ace Savage, as he continued to limp away from the hospital, disappearing into the bushes.
Whoa! This sure was an explosive episode!
No, but in all seriousness, I do hope you guys enjoyed this episode. I made it way longer than usual to kind of make up for my extended absence. Although I can't promise that I will be back soon, just know that I am always working on something related to my stories whenever I have the time. Thank you all for reading. Leave a review and let me know what you thought! As for me, I'll see you guys when I see you guys. Bye!
Oh and an update on Tarantula's Tales should hopefully be on its way soon. The next half of the series is gonna be wild. That's all I'm gonna say.
Alright, now I'm gone guys. Peace.
