BPOV.

The morning of the next day, I was greeted by the usual bright sun. I was walking to my car when my phone rang and some unread messages appeared on the screen, one was from my parents, the other from Rose. My half-awake brain decided it was too early to talk, so I just kept on going to the car. Besides what could be so important that Rose decided to text me so early? She knew we could see each other in 30 minutes, and if it wasn't a phone call, it could have waited.

I looked at my watch and realized I was a little late. Thank God my apartment building was not far from the hospital where I worked, otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford my usual late walks on the beach. The image of yesterday's stranger came into my head. He was the cause of my restless sleep last night, and because of him, I could barely open my eyes that morning. What was so special about him?

With effort I drove to the hospital and parked my car. To my deep surprise, the first thing I saw was a meeting of main gossipers. The last time I had seen something like that was when some doctor had cheated on his wife with one of the nurses. Poor woman, she worked here and had to listen to this all day.

"Morning, Bella"

"Hey Angela. Busy night? Any one new?"

I put my bag and phone in my locker and I turned around to look at my friend.

"There was one admission during the night, but it was Braxton Hicks contractions. I didn't have enough time to help new future mommy. And I'm sure she'd love to hear some important advices from a doctor before the day X . It's her first baby," Angela smiled warmly. "And I should remind you that there are a couple of moms who is due any day now so you better be prepared."

"Any other news?"

"No. It was a pretty quiet night actually."

"OK." I was surprised, because nights in a big city hospital were usually crazy. "I have some records in my office, so I'll just take them now and we can get to work. I think we have just a few post-natal checks up scheduled."

And we got into our routine. I loved my job, I liked helping deliver babies to this world and helping new moms. For me obstetrics was one of the best medical fields. It was not enough to be just a trained surgeon, but you also had to perform a wide range of routine and in-office procedures. Not so easy, but it was perfect for me.

It was time for lunch and I was already halfway into the cafeteria as someone with white hair ran into me. It was my best friend, Rosalie. She was tall, smart and extremely beautiful. Rose looked more like a runway model, than a professional nutritionist. We were complete opposites, but we were friends from the day we met. It was probably the work of an "opposites attraction" thing.

"Bella! What the hell? I've been trying to reach you for hours."

"Sorry Rose. I was busy all morning. What's the emergency?"

"Nothing serious," blonde smiled at me with a sly smile. "It's just my cousin is finally here. Do you remember we talked about him?" I didn't, but l didn't want to upset her. "He now works as surgeon here. You should definitely meet each other!"

Oh no. I rolled my eyes. Not again. Rose was like my personal matchmaker. After my breakup with Jacob, she had set a goal to find me "a real man". Should I tell you it was unsuccessful? Perhaps everything would be different if I weren't such a mess.

"Rose, you know I don't have time for a new guy in my life."

"Bella, I've heard it a thousand and thousand times before. Stop. He's nice guy, and he is my relative after all. You will like him." She glanced right in my eyes then her gaze moved somewhere behind me. "Oh, and I think he's right there!"

I turned around and froze. There was a man and he was absolutely gorgeous. He looked straight in my eyes, and I was vaguely aware of my heart racing faster. He was one of the most handsome men I'd ever seen. He was tall. Like really tall. And God, his eyes! So green, like a rainforest. They were framed by the long lashes and it seemed like he was looking right into my soul. His hair was red bronze color and he had a wild hairstyle. His lips were full and so kissable. I was stunned.

"Edward! O my God. Come here! Meet my best friend Bella," she almost pushed me into his arms.

He came a little closer, and he did it so graceful. His green eyes sparkled as he gazed at me, his lips twitching into a crooked smirk.

"Hi, Rosalie. Bella, it's pleasure to meet you."

His voice was smooth and low, and a little familiar. It was interesting. He seemed older, not sure how much. Probably 5 years older than me. Where could I hear him before?

"Likewise," was all I could said.

At the sound of my trembling voice, his smile returned. I stopped breathing again when his thumb stroked the skin of my hand.

"I believe we've met before actually," He paused and winked at me.

What? When?

My eyes widened in understanding. Was he my stranger? The voice from my memories and dreams really sounded the same. Edward. The name suited him so well.

What was wrong with me?

"So how did you two meet?" A huge smile broke out on Rose's face and she looked at me suspiciously. Fuck. I forgot that she was standing next to us. "You know what? Never mind! You two are sooo coming over on Saturday night to my and Emmett's place. We will have a Barbeque."

I just stood there, opening and closing my mouth, but I couldn't say anything.

Edward looked at me and smiled." I'm agree." Then he leaned over to my ear and whispered. "And I was right again. I'm never wrong."

It was him!
