In the forest…
The crow watched from above as it watched the five traveled into the woods, keeping an eye on them to be certain there was no danger.
Naru was as giddy as could be as this was her first big mission. When she gets to the Wave Village, she will get a souvenir for Itachi, something he would like. She will tell her fiancé everything that happened as they would have a victory dinner. Sasuke was giving her an annoyed look on the stupid grin on her face, wondering why his brother was attracted to such an energetic and idiotic girl.
She was happy as can be as she heard a voice inside her…
"The enemy is near... Prepare yourself."
The voice was always right, and she always listened to it. She never knew why it was there, but it was a friend to her. Naru never told anyone about the voice, not even Itachi as she never knew what the voice is.
"Hey, Kakashi-Sensei, do you feel something wrong?" Naru asked the white-haired man as he looked at her with one eye.
"Naru-."
That was when it happened.
The group was bound as two gauntlet-wearing ninjas attacked! They were about to kill Naru but Sasuke was able to stop them! This led to Kakashi killing the Demon Brothers but leading to Naru's hand being cut with poison.
"Well done, you two. You did what was expected." Kakashi congratulated Sasuke and Sakura, "Naruto, even when you sensed dangers earlier than others, you mustn't show any concern. It can tip them off and act early."
Naru looked down the gasped when he took his sister-in-law's hand.
"Sasuke, what the heck?" She snarled as the blond; spiky-haired girl felt a quick shot of pain from the actions of her future brother-in-law.
"You idiot, you let yourself get poisoned." The younger Uchiha growled as the entire team came to her aid and the bridge builder tried to not look guilty.
Sakura took a good look as she showed worried for the other girl member of her team.
"Relax, I feel fine." Naru tried to assure but was not helping.
"Not for long. Naru, this is really bad. You can die from this!" Sakura gasped as Kakashi made his choice.
"Okay, everyone, we are heading back to the village."
"What?!" Naru shouted at her teacher.
"We're getting you to the hospital and getting you cleaned up," Kakashi ordered as his voice became serious.
"You can't do this. Please-." Tazuna begged as Kakashi got up to his face.
"Oh, I can, and I will, especially since you lied to us." He abruptly answered, "Those ninjas were targeting you, but you knew that well. This is not a C ranked mission, it is something B and above."
"We-we couldn't afford such a mission and we needed help…"
Through the eyes of the crow, the explanation was made clear as Gato, a mob boss and tycoon, wanted in Kohona was keeping the village gripped in fear. The bird cawed and flew off.
"…We didn't have a choice! Please!" He begged but Kakashi had no sympathy.
"You put my team in danger and we need to leave to cure Naruto. You're lucky that I won't tell of this to Naruto's fiancé."
But before anyone could move, Naru grabbed her Kunai and stabbed her hand to remove the poison!
"Naru!" Sakura gasped.
"I promise that I won't shy away from a mission, to never retreat or back down! I vow to be even better than Sasuke, Dattebayo!" She vowed as Sakura grinned and Kakashi was a little bit impress.
"Good job cleaning out the poison, a good way to improvise." Kakashi praised as she grinned, "But if we don't stop the bleeding, you'll die."
Naru began to panic as Kakashi took a look at her hand, noticing that it was already healing.
'Did the Fox warn her about the attack?' he wondered as he was not sure himself.
He may want to speak to Itachi after the mission.
"Alright, since you're set on going, we'll keep going. But keep this between the group, I don't want Itachi finding out." Kakashi sighed as her hand was good as new, then he was surprised by her hug.
Kakashi really needs to be careful, otherwise, Itachi would take his revenge in a form of castration and a fondue fork.
Team 7 continued their mission, unaware of the dangers to come on their journey.
