White Fang Big Rally with a Big Surprise
"Wow, your hands look so shiny!" Papi complimented.
"Thank you for the kind words, Papi. But there's more than shiny hands." Penny said.
"Penny, I-I don't understand..." Ruby shocked and confused.
"Most girls are born, but I was made. I'm the world's first synthetic person capable of generating an Aura." Penny explained, but her expression changed to sadness.
"I'm not real…" Penny said believing that, but then suddenly get hugged by Papi.
"Silly billy, you're real enough to have a hug from a friend." Papi smiled.
"But I can't feel hugs like the rest of you." Penny said.
"Doesn't mean I won't stop hugging you." Papi talked back.
"She's right, Penny. She things you're real and so do I, you think just because you've got nuts and bolts instead of squishy guts makes you any less real than me?" Ruby smiled.
"I don't... um... You're... taking this extraordinarily well." Penny surprised as she leans her face closer to Ruby.
"That's because roses are supposed to be the sign of love and other fun stuff." Papi commented.
"Aw, thank you, Papi." Ruby giggled and looked back at Penny.
"You're not like those things we saw back there. You've got a heart, and a soul; I can feel it!" Ruby believed tapping Penny on the chest.
"And we can be the best of friends together forever and ever!" Papi hugged Penny tighter.
Penny smiles as she couldn't believe that she not only found Ruby as her new and first friend since they met on the dock weeks ago, but now she has discovered a new friend in Vale which is more than she can hope for.
The excitement of hope bubbling up inside of her circuits and she pulls Ruby in for a hug while Papi is still hugging the robot girl, but Penny wraps her other arm around the Harpy girl giving them both a bone-crushing which made Ruby groans in pain. Papi feels the pain too though she doesn't mind because Penny being happy is the best thing, she can do to help a friend in need.
"You two are the best friend anyone could have!" Penny smiled.
"You're very welcome, shiny new friend!" Papi smiled though in a slight groaning pain.
"I can see why your father would want to protect such a delicate flower!" Ruby commented while trying to power through the pain.
"Oh, he's very sweet! My father's the one that built me! I'm sure you would love him!" Penny mentioned about her father.
"Does your daddy also have shiny arms? Can he shoot lasers out of his eyes or a rocket punch? Can he form into a giant robot with other parts?" Papi asked silly and exciting.
"Papi, I don't think her dad is a robot like her." Ruby giggled as Penny smiles.
"Yes, my father is very much human like Ruby and Jaune, also made of flesh like the humans and Demihumans." Penny added.
"Aw, I wanted to see if you two can combine." Papi whined.
"I'm sure there will other awesome things we'll be seeing soon." Ruby promised.
"Oh, he's very sweet! My father's the one that built me! I'm sure you would love him!" Penny mentioned about her father.
"I'm surprised he built you all by himself." Ruby said.
"Well, almost! He had some help from Mr. Ironwood." Penny said.
"Your daddy had help from a talking tree?" Papi confused holding her head.
"Not a tree, though it would be nice to meet a talking tree. Ironwood is the name is the general of Atlas, he was the one who funded the project of building me." Penny explained.
"Oh, wait… Is that why those soldiers were after you?" Ruby asked.
"They like to protect me too." Penny answered.
"They don't think you can protect yourself?" Ruby scoffed.
"I think so when she stopped that… That… What did she stop again?" Papi asked, forgetting what Penny did to the truck already.
"She stopped the truck with her barehand which by the way is the coolest and awesomeness thing you have ever done." Ruby complimented.
"Thank you, even though I wasn't supposed to do anything at the moment, not at least until the tournament." Penny said.
"Okay, but why the protection?" Ruby asked again.
"They're not sure if I'm ready yet... One day, it will be my job to save the world, but I still have a lot left to learn. That's why my father let me come to the Vytal Festival. I want to see what it's like in the rest of the world and test myself in the Tournament." Penny explained from what the general told her back in Atlas.
"Oh, you're going to be a superhero!" Papi asked amazes.
"Yes, perhaps more than a Huntress." Penny giggled though Ruby looked more confuse.
"Penny, what are you talking about? Save the world from what? We're in a time of peace!" Ruby pointed out.
"That's not what Mr. Ironwood said..." Penny confused as well.
"Maybe there is something big going on here like a super bad guy is plotting to take over the world and controlling the Grimm to make everyone dead if we don't do her bidding!" Papi guessed wildly and random.
Ruby and Penny look at the black-feathered Harpy with confuse looks in their eyes wondering where did she get such an idea from and wonder what's been going on in that little head of hers.
"Yeah, I'm pretty that's not it." Ruby denied.
"Okay." Papi nodded.
"Check down here." One Atlas Solider said.
Ruby, Penny, and Papi turn to where the voice came from, and the robot girl knew that the two soldiers will be coming here soon. She worries that they would harm Ruby and Papi for just being with her and probably be in big trouble if they found out the girls now knows her secret, she quickly looks around trying to see if she can hide them until she spotted an open dumpster.
"Oh, are they going to bring us snacks?" Papi asked smiling.
"I don't think that's the case, Papi." Ruby said.
"You two have to hide!" Penny warned as she lifts both Ruby and Papi in each hand effortlessly over her head and walking over to the dumpster.
"Penny, wait! What are you doing? You don't have to go with them! We can help you!" Ruby tried to reason with Penny but was ignored.
Penny threw the two into the dumpster though Papi seem to scream a little exciting thinking this is some kind of game.
"It's okay, Ruby. They're not bad people; I just don't want to get you in trouble. Just promise me you won't tell anyone else my secret. Okay?" Penny asked Ruby and Papi.
"Will we get sweets together?" Papi asked.
"Yes, we'll get some sweets too." Penny giggled.
"Then I'll be looking forward to that!" Papi smiled which Ruby giggles too.
"I promise to keep your secret, just be sure I can see you again." Ruby said.
Penny nods before closing the dumpster led just in time before the Atlas soldiers came in a rush to the robot girl.
"Sal-u-tations, officers!" Penny greeted, playing the innocent.
"Why were you running? And what happened to the other girl and Demihuman?" Atlas Soldier 1 asked.
"I think you are confused, sir. I've been by myself all day!" Penny lied with a hiccup and smiling.
"That's not true, we were with her just now." Papi said almost giving the hiding away as Ruby quickly covers her mouth.
"What was that?" Atlas Soldier 2 asked looking around which worries Penny.
"Worry not, the area is cleared and there aren't any witnesses." A young woman walked up to the Atlas Soldiers and Penny.
"Halt, who are you?" Atlas Soldier asked pointing his gun at her.
"Forgive me, my name is Manako and I'm a member of M.O.N." Manako introduced herself.
Manako is a young woman with shoulder-length bob-cut purple hair and one big eye showing that she is a Demihuman known as a Monoeye. She wears a yellow and black uniform. Breasts sizes: A-cup.
"Isn't that the Demihuman squad that deals with Demihuman problems?" Atlas Soldier 1 recalled.
"That's right, I head a commotion going on and that I come check it out." Manako said.
"I just hurt myself a little, but I'm okay." Penny smiled with a little hiccup.
"Very well, I will take my leave." Manako nodded and walked away.
"Come on, Penny. We better get back before we got into more trouble." Atlas Soldier 1 said.
"Yes, Sir." Penny nodded and followed the soldiers away from the area and the dumpster.
Ruby and Papi watches Penny leaves feeling bad that she might get in a little trouble for this though they also fee like she is going to be fine.
"So, how long are we going to play hide and seek here?" Papi asked.
"Perhaps now would be a good time to end it." Manako said suddenly being in front of the dumpster causing Ruby and Papi to fall in as they were spooked.
"H-How'd you know we were in here?" Ruby asked surprise.
"Being a Monoeye means I have very good eyesight." Manako smiled a little.
(With Yang, Polt, and Nora)
Riding the bike with Yang has been a blast for Nora and Polt as they go through the streets to the rundown place, though the ride has to end soon as Yang stopped in front of a building which is where she said this "Friend" of hers is.
"That was awesome!" Nora complimented loudly.
"You certainly know how to ride." Polt nodded.
"Thanks, takes a lot to handle this baby." Yang patted on her motorcycle, Bumblebee.
"Come on, my friend's right in here!" Yang gestured to the door as everyone got off the bike.
"Let see how he likes the pressure of his legs breaking." Nora smirked.
"Nora, you remember we're here just to ask questions, right?" Polt asked hoping this girl doesn't do anything dangerous.
The three friends walk up to the door where are there a pair of men in black suits guarding it looking intimidating, but all the drop when they see Yang walking up to them with a smirk and the guards suddenly became scared quickly running back inside.
"What was that about?" Polt confused.
"Let just say I asked what I wanted to know when I last came here, and when I didn't get the answer, I just trashed the place." Yang answered honestly with a grin.
"You are a mad woman." Nora commented smiling.
They walk up to the door and Yang blast it opens with her fist and the combine blast from Ember Celica sending the door and the guards holding it flying away as the three walked in.
"Guess who's back?" Yang announced, and all the other men in black pointed their guns at her.
"Wow, talk about making a good impression." Nora commented.
"Stop, stop! Nobody shoot." A man cutting his way through the men shouted and look at Yang with a nervous look while trying to put up a brave face. This man is Junior, the owner of the Nightclub.
"Blondie, you're here! ...Why?" Junior asked.
"You still owe me a drink." Yang answered and dragged Junior to the bar with Nora and Polt following.
"(God, please help me.)" Junior thought gulped.
(With Blake's Group)
Blake, Centorea, and Sun peek over the corner of a building to see some Faunus are standing in line and entering inside a warehouse with being given mask with one White Fang soldier welcoming them.
"This is it." Blake whispered.
"Are you sure?" Sun asked.
"Can't be more obvious than what we're already looking at." Centorea pointed out.
"Right, got it." Sun nodded.
Blake looks at the line one more time seeing that there are a few Demihumans in the line as well, taking a moment for herself before turning around and gave Grimm masks to them.
"I didn't think there would be any Demihumans who were already part of the White Fang. Centorea surprised.
"Probably because they went through some shit almost like how the Faunus are." Sun guessed.
"No surprise there." Blake said as she looks at her mask.
"I don't get it. If you believe what you're doing is right, why hide who you are?" Sun asked curious.
"The masks are a symbol. Humanity wanted to make monsters out of us, so we chose to don the faces of monsters." Blake explained.
"I see, the mask shows the monsters some humans see the Faunus as and are making them fear those monsters." Centorea said seem to understand that.
"Okay, now that is just… dark." Sun shocked.
"So was the guy who started it." Blake said before putting on her mask and walks on to the rally.
"Always sunshine and rainbows with you..." Sun sighed before he and Centorea followed Blake.
The three enter the warehouse seeing lots and lots of Faunus inside and only a little over several Demihumans as well, probably not much since the rest Demihumans were in hiding until the revealing on the news days ago.
"Thank you all for coming." The White Fang Lieutenant thanked as the audience quickly went silence so he can speak.
"For those of you who are joining us for the first time tonight, allow me to introduce a very special comrade of ours! I can assure you, he is the key to obtaining what we have fought for, for so long!" The White Fang Lieutenant gestured to the right side of the stage.
Blake and Sun glares at the stage of a man, the human man they both knew weeks ago from the warehouse area.
"I take it this is the fellow you all warned me about?" Centorea asked whispering.
"Yep, hard to forget a guy like that." Sun nodded.
"Roman Torchwick, the most wanted man in Remnant for thieving and now apparently in partnership with the White Fang." Blake said still glaring at Roman.
Roman is a tall and lanky with slanted, dark-green eyes and bright, long, orange hair, with long bangs covering his right eye. Black eyeliner traced his visible left eye. He wears a red-lined white suit with long black pants and black shoes. His accessories included a small gray scarf, black gloves with buckled sleeves, and a black bowler hat with a small feather tucked into its red band.
"He looks like someone who would cheat at a card game." Centorea commented.
"Thank you, thank you! Please, hold your applause!" Roman chuckled with a short woman following behind him.
"What's a human doing here?!" A Faunus with Deer antlers asked as the other Faunus and some Demihumans are too.
"I'm glad you asked, "Deerie"! Now, I'll be the first to admit, humans... are the worst. Case in point." Roman pointed at himself before continuing. "So, I understand why you would like to see us all locked away, or, better yet, killed!"
"So, is he going somewhere with this?" Sun asked.
"I believe he is trying to use words to gain their trusts." Centorea guessed.
"But, before the claws come out, I'd like to mention the fact that you and I all have a common enemy: the ones in control, the people pulling the strings, the dirty, rotten humans that run our kingdoms!" Roman pointed out as the crowd started to agree with him.
"Government, military, even the schools: they're all to blame for your lot in life! And they're all pests that need to be dealt with! Fortunately, I'm the best exterminator around... No offense to any rodents in the room." Roman said which rallied the crowd cheering for him.
Roman snaps his finger and the curtain behind him fell revealing the Atlesian Paladin-290, the one that Ironwood showed earlier, with the White Fang symbol painted in red on its shoulders and the crowd cheers of excitement.
"Whoa, that's a big robot..." Sun shocked.
"How did he get that?" Blake wondered.
"I fear it thou weren't through normal means." Centorea glared at Roman.
"As some of you may have heard, this right here... is Atlas' newest defense against all the scary things in the world. And thanks to my "employer", we've managed to snag a few before they, uh, "hit the shelves". Now, many of your brothers have already moved down to our new operation in the southeast. If you'd rather stay within the city, that's fine... But if you're truly ready to fight for what you believe in, this is the arsenal I can provide you. Any questions?" Roman asked smirking.
All the Faunus and Demihumans cheered for now they have the means to get back at the humans for the abuse while Blake's group looked more worried of what they can do with that thing.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
The investigation seems to be going well though for Blake's group, they have found out more than what they expected with the giant mech in the room and very soon they will find themselves of getting a closer inspection.
