Hey Everyone, sorry I'm posting a little later in the day than I usually do. It's been long week.

Anyways, just wanted to let you guys know I spent most of today re-reading my story from chapter 1.

LOL I just wanted to make sure I didn't forget certain details and ended up fixing a couple mistakes I saw. Also updated a couple chapters, thought it't not necessary for anyone to go back and re-read unless you want to.

Lastly thank you again projectzer0 for another comment ! It makes me happy to see that someones commented on my story :)

Also Little.Didith, thank you for your review! It was so inspiring to see and such a big motivator for me after the week I've had. In all honesty, I do like to research as I write. Especially with this story since there is so much room for creativity, but I also don't want anything to sound wrong or not make sense. I do wing it sometimes though, lol.

And yes, I did have a little typo moment with Izuku's name LOL. It was one of the typos I fixed in my glance over. As for Class A, yes they are in their senior year, just because this is a mature story and I did not feel comfortable writing a sex scene between two 15 year olds lol. So you will see me flipping back and forth between writing Class A and Class 3A.

Hope that answers all your questions, and don't be shy, please continue to leave comments and questions :)

Anyways, without further delay, here is Ch 8!

Chapter 8:

Stepping out of Endeavor's agency, Noriko couldn't help but close her eyes and tilt her head up to the sky. It was such a nice day out despite the heat, making her grateful she had decided against wearing sweats.

It wouldn't have mattered considering she could regulate the temperature of her body with her quirk. But the downside was that to continuously regulate her temperature like that drained her energy. It was why she chose to dress casually in high-waisted skinny jeans, a white sleeveless cropped top, and white sneakers.

"Sorry about the long wait. Boom-Boom boy's hit was harder than I expected." She drawled.

Noriko eyed Izuku Midoriya from the corner of her eyes as she stretched her arms to relieve some of the soreness while they walked. He was tall, not as tall as Bakugo, standing a couple inches shy of 6 feet, but still taller than her.

He was good looking as well, his boyish face and big eyes giving him that cute look. And unlike Bakugo, he always wore a small smile on his face, making him look friendly and approachable. It matched with his personality, she had noticed, since he had been very nice since she met him.

Even so, she still felt a little guilty when she arrived in the lobby 15 minutes later than what she had originally promised. It hadn't been her intention to make him wait so long, but the hot water had felt heavenly on her aching muscles. On top of the hard hit she took during the fight; she had also trained for many hours with Endeavor before.

"No need to apologize, I've been on the receiving end of Kacchan's hits enough to know how much they hurt." Midoriya replied kindly.

Noriko's head cocked to the side. He was soft spoken and very sweet, a complete opposite of Bakugo. Yet there was something in the tone of his voice and the look in his eyes, that threw her off. It was almost as if he was older than his 17 years.

She had no doubt that it was a result of the war. She kept up with the news enough to recognize Midoriya's name. He was very well know after having been singled out by Tomura Shigaraki himself. She also knew that his return to UA hadn't been an easy one, and she felt like she could relate to him because of that.

But she didn't ask him anything about the war or about Shigaraki. He must have had enough of that in the past few months, and she didn't want to bring up uncomfortable memories. She knew how much she hated when people pried into her life and continued the conversation.

"Kacchan? Wasn't his name like Kaito Bakubitch or something like that?"

She butchered his name on purpose, not wanting to sound so obvious about her interest in him. It was embarrassing to admit, even if she was dying to learn more about him. Thankfully, Midoriya chuckled a little, and didn't seem to suspect anything about her interest.

"His name is Katsuki Bakugo, but I've known him since we were little kids. Kacchan is a nickname I call him by, though he's not the biggest fan of it." He didn't turn to look at her when he answered, instead focused on scanning his surroundings.

Interesting, Noriko thought to herself. She had been wondering why Endeavor hadn't sent a sidekick to escort them. One of the conditions of their return was that they weren't allowed to walk around without an escort. And while she didn't doubt Midoriya's capabilities, she didn't think they'd entrust her with a Hero Student.

"It doesn't seem like he's a big fan of anything." Noriko snickered.

"He's always been like that. He's very brash and competitive, which doesn't make him very popular with people. But he's also very dedicated, hardworking, and a good hero!" He rushed the last part out, finally looking at her with wide eyes, his hands flailing a little.

Noriko was caught off guard at his sudden increase in volume, having become used to his soft voice. It was almost as if he was afraid that she would get the wrong idea about Bakugo. And she couldn't blame him for thinking that considering how Bakugo had stormed into her training session and then got into a fight with her.

She felt her phone vibrate in her pocket and reached for it while chuckling.

"Don't worry Broccoli head, I know, I can tell. His quirk is amazing by itself, but the control he has over it and his combat skills are insane. He could have only accomplished that level of skill through years of training. I have no doubt he'll be one of the top 10 heroes someday." She responded casually, typing out a quick reply to Yaeko in the group chat she had with her sisters. Putting her phone back in her pocket she looked up at his dumbstruck face.

His jaw had dropped, and was looking down at Noriko with wonder, making her a little uncomfortable. Facing forward, she nervously reached behind her back to play with her damp hair.

She had left it loose, choosing to let it air dry, so she didn't leave Midoriya waiting even longer. Thank God she did so she could hide her cheeks since she felt them turning pink and silently cursed herself for saying too much.

Realizing he was most likely making her uncomfortable, Midoriya closed his mouth and faced forward as well. "Sorry! It's just that most people draw different conclusions about him because of how he is. It's mostly made people resent him or hate him."

"Shame on them, then. Just because heroes, or even people for that matter, act nice and friendly doesn't mean they are. It's refreshing to see someone be who they are without caring what others think. Bakugo is unapologetically himself, and he's cocky with every reason to be. And I respect that much more than some hero putting on a show for others." Her said coolly, her face set with a hard expression.

Midoriya was taken aback by her response. She spoke as if she had experienced something similar firsthand. But given what he knew about her family, he wondered if the hero her sister had killed had actually been one of the bad guys.

"Did a hero disappoint you?" He asked the question, tentatively, fearing the question would only make her upset.

He knew he was given the bare minimum of details about Noriko or her family, but he did know the basics about them and why they were here. When Endeavor first brought them up, he mentioned that her oldest sister was a convicted criminal. Nothing more was said about it, not why she was arrested nor why they were bringing in a criminal to work with them. Any questions they had were shut down, leaving them even more confused and curious.

"Unfortunately." She didn't look upset, but the clipped response gave away her true feelings.

"It has something to do with your family's past, doesn't it?"

Noriko looked up at Midoriya, her eyes locking with his. She didn't speak for a moment as she observed him, which was why she noticed how he tensed from the cold look in her eyes.

They had stopped walking at this point, just sizing each other up in the middle of the sidewalk. People were walking around them, some grumbling about how they were in the way, but they didn't pay them any mind.

"I don't know what you've been told about my family, but my sister is not a criminal nor a villain." Her voice was ice cold and her eyes narrowed dangerously.

"I honestly don't know much other than she was arrested a few years ago and was released under certain conditions. Endeavor didn't go into further detail, just mentioned that even he didn't have the full details on it. What he did say was that it was a situation the hero commission handled wrongly." Midoriya nervously rubbed the back of his head.

"Damn straight they did. Yaeko used to be a hero specialized in emergency first aid and rescue. She eventually decided to be a doctor, and an amazing one at that. But when she stopped hero work, she was no longer in the spotlight. Doctors don't get the same recognition as heroes do because they're not out here catching villains. But Yaeko didn't mind because she didn't care about fame." Noriko was visibly shaking with anger.

"Doctors are just as important as heroes. They don't need to be on the news to be appreciated for their hard work. I've been to the hospital enough times to tell you they're heroes just as much as any pro-hero out here." Midoriya locked eyes with Noriko to show her he was telling the truth.

"Yeah, I wish that would have been enough when shit went down. Instead, the Hero Commission turned their back on her. They condemned her instead of the so-called hero who committed the real crime. And you know why? Because he was a famous hero from a prominent hero family, and she was a nobody." At the end of her rant, she clenched her jaw tightly, looking away from Midoriya.

Midoriya didn't respond, simply watched her while he processed what she said. Had he not met Lady Nagant during his time as a vigilante and spoken to her often when he visited her, he would have been shocked. He probably wouldn't have believed that the hero commission could ever hurt someone, much less cover up a crime committed by a hero.

But having had the things Lady Nagant told him confirmed by Hawks, he knew without a doubt that there was a lot the Hero Commission hid from the public.

"I'm sorry." Was all he was able to get out. His hands clenching into tight fists. "I wish I could say that you're wrong. That all heroes are good people you should trust, and that the Hero Commission is only looking to do the best for everyone. But I know it's not true. I saw firsthand how many heroes choose to join the Paranormal Liberation Front. And I've met others that have also been victims of the Hero Commission."

Noriko had turned to look at him with wide eyes. She had expected him to turn away from her, shun her for shit talking heroes. What she hadn't expected was to see his eyes darken, the defeated look she noticed earlier become more prominent. It left her speechless for a moment, unsure of how to respond.

She had never been in this position, having been shut down by the Commission during her sister's trial. She opened her mouth to tell him as much when he suddenly looked up at her, a determined expression flashing across his face.

"I'm sorry for all the harm your family has gone through. I promise that things will be different now, I'll make sure of it because I will become the number one hero and the new symbol of peace. Once this war is over, my friends and I will rebuild the hero society to be better for everyone. And I want you to be a part of this with us because I know you're the right person to help lead this country into a better direction. So, Imai-san, will you be a part of the change and fight for it with us?"

Her lips parted in shock, staring at him with an incredulous look at his face. Finally, she let out a chocked laugh, shaking her head at the boy in front of her. Running a hand through her hair, she turned and continued walking. After a couple steps, she cocked her head slightly to peak at him from over her shoulder.

"You don't need to apologize, Midoriya. I haven't lost all faith in heroes… especially the ones like you. And, you didn't even have to ask me." Fully glancing back, her eyes were softer now despite the wicked smirk she sent him. "Because I was already planning on tearing this fucked up system down."

Smiling brightly, he jogged over to catch up to her. Once he reached her side, he slowed down to a walk. "My friends, the ones I mentioned, and I planned on going to dinner and Karaoke this weekend. You should come and meet them."

"Class 3A, right?" Noriko asked as they approached the hospital.

"Yes." He nodded before he remembered something. "Wait, Endeavor mentioned you'd be enrolling into UA. Do you know what class you'll be joining?"

"Yup." She said, her lips popping on the 'p' for emphasis. "If I pass the provisional license exam and obtain my hero studies credits, I will be joining class 3A."

"Really? That's amazing!" Midoriya exclaimed, his eyes shining with excitement. "With your level of skill, there's no doubt you'll pass the licensing exam."

"I would hope so, though I didn't exactly win the fight against Bakugo or even land a hit on Endeavor." She sighed, frowning as they walked into the hospital.

The minute they stepped in, they saw it was bustling with activity. It seemed like there had been an accident, multiple people covered in debris and scratches. Nurses were running around checking on people and knew it would be a while before someone got to them. Not wanting to interrupt and ask someone to point them in the right direction, she took her phone out.

"Well, if it makes you feel better, Kacchan and Todoroki didn't pass the licensing exam on his first try." The casual statement was said absentmindedly since he was looking at the chaos around them.

Noriko froze as she processed what he said. Bakugo hadn't passed the first try, the thought echoed in her head. She couldn't believe that the hot head hadn't gotten his license on the first try. He was ridiculously powerful and talented. Unlike Endeavor, he hadn't held back when fighting with her and they had been evenly matched for the most part.

And Endeavor's own son didn't pass on his first try either?! How the hell was she meant to pass if even two of the top 3 of UA had failed their first try? She only had one shot at it because the exam was at the end of the month and the school year started a couple days after. She wouldn't be allowed to enroll if she didn't get her license.

Midoriya's voice brought her back to the present as he tried to get a nurse's attention. Rolling her eyes even as she was slightly thankful for the distraction, she grabbed the back of his t-shirt and dragged him with her. She ignored the little surprised shriek he let out when she basically threw him into the elevator.

"Waiting around for someone to notice us is a waste of time, Yaeko told me where her office is." She waved her phone at him as she hit the button for the correct floor.

"Didn't we have to sign in and get passes?" He asked nervously.

"I don't know, nor do I care. They seemed busy and no one was at the front desk. If we get stopped, we tell them the truth. You have an appointment, and I'm here to see my sister, who happens to work here."

He didn't respond, instead just fidgeted besides her. At first it didn't bother her, but after two floors and he still didn't settle down, she felt her eye twitch in irritation. Finally having enough, she turned to glare at the green haired boy.

"Can you stand still!" She hissed, her hand swinging to slap his toned stomach.

"Sorry! It's just that I'm not sure what to expect, and I'm worried I won't be cleared for hero work." He stopped moving but continued twisting his hands nervously.

"Yaeko basically raised us, so she gives hella mom vibes. She's nice and attentive to her patients. But she is very blunt and straight forward. Plus, you look perfectly fine, so I don't really know why you've been sent to see her. I mean I saw you at your first sports festival, and the damage you took from your quirk. But my sister's specialty is trauma surgery and reconstruction, you seem to have all your limbs intact." Noriko responded coolly, side eyeing Midoriya when he started fidgeting again.

"After waking up at the hospital when everything was over, I decided to leave UA for a couple months without telling my friends. I spent those days in the evacuated areas trying to round up as many villains as possible to keep the people who didn't leave safe. I pushed myself passed my limits fighting nonstop without sleeping or eating."

"Sounds like a stupid thing to do." She commented, relieved when the elevator reached the correct floor. She stepped out once the elevator doors opened, and looked for signs that indicated what direction a set of rooms was in.

"I know, I just didn't want to burden anyone, or let them get hurt because of me." He sounded so upset she paused for a moment.

Turning she saw the expression on his face, and she felt her heart clench in her chest. Part of her wanted to reach out and comfort him, but the other part of her was uncomfortable. She wasn't the best person when it came to feelings and comforting. Akari was always the best at cheering people up, and Yaeko was the best with words.

So, she did what she did best and scoffed at him as she continued down the hall. "You know after hearing you speak so highly of your friends, it's a little unsettle to hear you talk down on them all of a sudden."

Noriko was a firm believer in tough love, and it was mostly due to her personality type. From what she remembered; her mom had found it so amusing how much Noriko was like her grandfather. She had never met him, unfortunately, but she felt like she had from the stories her mom used to tell her when she did something that reminded her of grandpa.

Midoriya was taken aback by her harsh words, his eyes opening wide and hands flailing as he did when he was flustered. Noriko almost felt bad, but she felt that he'd understand what she was doing in the end.

"W-what? No! I just didn't want them to be targeted by All for One and Shigaraki! It was bad enough when Kacchan almost died because of me!" He exclaimed, his eyes shining with distress.

"But he didn't." She said softly, her heart clenching even more at that revelation.

The hot-headed blonde she had only met a couple hours ago, was almost another lost victim of the war. The thought made her sad, and she didn't know why.

"He took a hit that was meant for me… he protected me." Midoriya muttered.

"That's what heroes, and more importantly, friends do. You don't need to face things alone because that's how you lose. With no one watching your back or someone you can rely on, you become vulnerable and an easy target. And don't you think that's what the bad guys want?" Noriko stopped in front of a closed door and turned her head slightly to side eye him.

His mouth parted open in shock as his eyes drifted over her face as he processed her words. He never thought of it that way, even when he had felt the 7 wielders inside of him push for him to go back to his friends. He looked down at the short girl in front of him, as if seeing her for the first time. His chest tightened, and he felt tears pooling in his eyes.

The last time he had felt like this was when Uraraka had stood up for him when the refugees living within UA had wanted to turn him away. It wasn't as intense as it had been back then, because the girl in front of him now didn't stir the same feelings as his girlfriend did. But regardless he felt grateful for her honesty.

"What the fuck?! Why are you crying?!" Startled by the river of tears that started falling from his eyes, Noriko took a step away from him.

"I'm sorry, I just got a little emotional for a second." Izuku tried his hardest not to sob.

The door in front of them swung open, but neither of them noticed. Yaeko was surprised to see her baby sister standing in front of her office, but then she noticed Izuku Midoriya with her. She had to press her hand to her mouth to stop herself from laughing out loud.

Midoriya was trying to pull himself together, constantly wiping his never-ending river of tears, while Noriko was watching him with an incredulous look on her face. Taking a moment to breathe and control her laughter, she couldn't help but feel relieved. She had been feeling tense since Eraserhead had left her office hours ago.

"Nori, we've spoken about making others cry." Yaeko gave her sister a stern look, but she felt her lip twitch and new she failed at keeping a straight face.

"I don't even know how that started, but please make it stop." Noriko begged, looking at her sister desperately.

Now she couldn't hold back her laughter. She knew her baby sister was horrible when it came to people who cried, not knowing how to comfort them. It was amusing considering her sister was actually a very affectionate person but radiated such tough girl energy.

"I'm okay, sorry for the overload of emotions. Imai-san just opened my eyes to something I should have seen long time ago." Midoriya gave the older Imai sister a watery smile.

"Did she now?" Yaeko raised an eyebrow at Noriko.

Her sister just avoided her gaze and motioned for them to move into the office.

"Not that I mind you being her, but aren't you supposed to be training with Endeavor or starting your classes?" Yaeko asked, allowing them to enter the room. She pointed Midoriya to the examination table but stayed by the door with her sister.

"We apparently went over our training time this morning, and my classes are later in the afternoon. Endeavor said I could come here with Midoriya, and he'd send a sidekick to come get me for my classes." Noriko glanced around the room, taking it all in.

"That was nice of him, but unfortunately, I can't have you in the room while I'm with a patient. Akari should be arriving soon enough though, she told me she'd be here around quarter to one." Yaeko looked over at the clock on the wall.

"That's fine, I can chill in a waiting area or the break room until she gets here." Noriko shrugged, unbothered. She knew she wouldn't be able to stay during the examination.

Suddenly their phones went off simultaneously. Noriko pulled hers out, having heard Yaeko's go off from her desk across the room. Reading the message from Akari, Noriko's eyebrows shot up in surprise.

"What happened?" her older sister asked, trying to lean forward to read the message.

"Akari's already here, apparently the chaos downstairs is curtesy of a group of low-level villains. One of Hawks sidekicks got hurt fighting against two of them and is with Recovery Girl right now."

"Is she okay?!" Yaeko was ready to run down to find her sister, but Noriko stuck her arm out and stopped her.

"You have a patient to take care of, so relax. Endeavor said he needs a full physical and a letter that states he's been cleared for hero work. Right Midoriya?" Noriko leaned around her sister to look at the nervous boy who nodded so fast she swore his head would go flying off.

Yaeko frowned, wanting to go down and check on Akari herself. But her sister was right, she had a job to do. Noriko saw the indecision on her older sister's face, so she moved to turn her back to Midoriya.

"I've got this, Yaya. I'll go down and check on Akari. Then I'll get us food that isn't from the hospital's cafeteria."

"You'll call me if somethings happened right?" Yaeko turned back to Noriko when she let go of her.

"Yes, mom." Noriko was already walking out of the room, pulling the door shut behind her.

Sighing softly, Yaeko turned back to her patient and smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry Midoriya, I just worry over them."

He chuckled lightly, waving her off with one hand while the other rubbed the back of his head. "Don't worry about it, Dr. Imai. I understand, I've seen how protective Noriko is about you. I can imagine you all feel that way about each other."

"She's a little more intense than the rest of us." Yaeko smiled, coming closer to the young hero. "Now, I've read your file, and I've got to say, I'm not very happy with you, young man." She shot him a stern look.

Midoriya swallowed nervously. "I have gotten hurt a few times over the past couple years."

"That's putting it lightly." She quipped, pulling her rolling computer closer as she skimmed his file. "Your body wasn't equipped to handle the full power of your quirk, and because of that you've destroyed your arms more times than I'd like to count."

"I've learned to control the output of my power since. I haven't really broken any bones in a long time." He said sheepishly.

"Correct, but that doesn't mean your arms haven't suffered permanent damage since then. But I need to do a full workup before I can make a concrete diagnosis. Before we start, let me explain my quirk." Yaeko began, pulling her stethoscope from her pocket.

"It's like Imai-san's quirk, right?" He asked eagerly.

"In a sense yes, our quirk is called Molecular Manipulation, but I can use it on living things. She can only use it on organic molecules on a chemical level. I can use my quirk to determine if there is anything wrong with your body without the necessity of using x-rays, cat scans or MRI's unless completely necessary. I can also heal injuries or regenerate limbs from the molecules in tissue and bones."

Midoriya looked deep in thought as he processed what she said. He started muttering under his breath so fast Yaeko was unsure what exactly he was saying. She was a little amused by him but allowed him a moment to gather his thoughts.

"Is that why they assigned you as my doctor? In case my arms took severe damage again, you'd be able to regenerate the bone and tissue so that there is no permanent damage?"

"In a sense, I am your best option should that happen. I can't promise I would be able to reverse the damage and save your arms. So do not take this as an okay to overexert yourself by overusing your quirk." She said sternly.

Her quirk could only do so much for him, though she was confident she could completely reverse the damage to his arms. If he did destroy his arms again and she had to heal him, she'd most likely be able to destroy the damaged tissue and bones to create new stronger ones. But she didn't want him to purposely go out and hurt himself knowing she could save him.

"I understand, thank you, Dr. Imai. Noriko was right when she told me I had nothing to worry with you. I also want to say that I don't care about what happened in your past. I put my full trust in your hands." He stood to fully bow down, making Yaeko's heart melt at the gesture.

"Thank you Midoriya-chan, for putting your trust in me." She smiled sweetly at the young man, feeling much lighter than before. "Now let's get started so that we can get those forms done for Endeavor. Please remove your shirt so that I can conduct a full examination."

Immediately the young boys face flushed a deep red, arms flying around nervously. He was stuttering so bad she didn't understand what he was saying. Yaeko just watched him with an amused smile, allowing him a moment to calm down.

In the back of her mind, however, she was worried about her sister. She wondered if Noriko was with Akari and if they were okay.
